Trip to Apedale / Hanley 02-12-2018

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. He was also going out on the bus later. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Whilst waiting to go to the day service we saw Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. For dinner Matthew went out to Apedale. We went downstairs and we went in a car. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street and we saw D&G Bus 143 on the #23 to Blurton. We turned left onto City Road and we ran down the hill towards Stoke. We turned right onto the A52 and we ran towards the railway station. We continued onto Station Road and at the end we turned right onto Stoke Road. We ran yp through Shelton onto Snow Hill and at the ring road we turned left. We ran to the end and we turned left onto Etruria Road. We turned left onto the A53 and we ran Westwards through Etruria to Basford. We turned right onto the B5369 and we ran through May Bank and Dimsdale. We crossed over the A34 and we ran forwards onto Wolstanton Road. At the roundabout we ran forwards onto Loomer Road and we continued to Apedale Country Park. Once there we Matthew had a breakfast washed down with a can of Coke. When we had finished we returned to Fenton by car. We set off onto Loomer Road and we crossed over the roundabout onto Wolstanton Road. We crossed over the A34 onto the B5369. We ran through Dimsdale to may Bank and we turned right onto the A527 where we saw E-zec patient transport OU18 CEO. We ran towards Wolstanton and we ran on the new section of the A527 down to the A500. We got onto the Southbound A500 and we ran through Etruria down to Stoke. We came off the A500 onto City Road and we ran under the railway and up the hill into Fenton. We turned right into Smithpool Road and left into Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to his room to chill out. Laiter on Matthew went out to catch a bus to Hanley. we went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street and walked through onto City Road. As we had missed the Hanley bus we crossed over the road and we walked up to the stop by Philpots to wait for a #11 to Hanley. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw that it was First Potteries 63101 on a #11 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Longton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We carried on along City Road and we continued forwards onto King Street. We ran through Foley and we under the railway line into Longton town centre. We ran up Market Street and we turned left onto Anchor Road. We ran up the hill to the top and ran down to the roundabout in Adderley Green and we saw First Potteries 42552 parked in the garage. At the roundabout at the East end of Bentilee we turned right onto Beverley Drive and turned left onto Dawlish Drive. We ran to the end and we turned left onto Beverley Drive. At the end we turned right onto Dividy Road and we ran down the hill to Bucknall. We turned left onto the A52 and we ran to limekiln lights and we went across onto Bucknall New Road. We climbed the hill up to Hanley and we joined the clockwise ring road. We turned right onto Bethesda Road and right onto John Street and into the bus station we saw First Potteries 67157 on a #3 to Crewe. We got off the bus and we set off up Lichfield Street to wait for a bus back to Fenton. A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 63172 on a #6A to Blythe Bridge.

We decided to do First Potteries 63097. We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off up Lichfield Street and we turned right into Birch Terrace. We followed the road around to the left onto Charles Street. At the top we turned right onto Old Hall Street before turning right onto the ring road. We turned left onto Lichfield Street and we ran down the hill to Joiners Square. We crossed the roundabout onto Victoria Road and we ran up the hill into Fenton. At the top of the hill we got up and got off the bus. One off the bus we set off on foot onto City Road. We turned left onto Christchurch Street and we stopped at the Co-op food store. Matthew brought a small can of Coke. We went outside onto Christchurch Street. We walked back into Temple Street and into the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to his room to chill out. For tea Matthew had pastie and chips followed by a bakewell tart. Matthew went back to the room and went on his computer. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.
