Trip to Shrewsbury / Bicton Heath 17-01-2026

Today we decided to re-visit Shrewsbury. We had asked Matthew it the week where he would like to go and he chose Shrewsbury. Research for the trip consisted of looking at tickets on the Arrive site and checking the weather. The weather was forecast for mainly dry with the chance of a shower, with some sunshine. Matthew woke up at 08:00 and had his medication. We got up at 10:30 and Matthew had toast and orange juice for breakfast. After getting dressed we set off around 11:40 to pick up uncle Dave. We got in the car and we set off through Blurton and we ran along Beaconsfield Drive and we turned left onto Church Road and at the roundabout we veered left onto Blurton Road past the former Coral shop which is new going to be flats. We ran through Blurton and into Heron Cross and over the A50. At Heron Cross lights we turned left onto Grove Road. We ran forwards onto Wheildon Road and we picked up uncle Dave. Once we had picked up uncle Dave, we continued back up Wheildon Road and we ran forwards onto Grove Road. We turned right onto Blurton Road and at the roundabout we joined the Westbound A50. We came off the A50 onto Stanley Matthews Way and we turned right onto the A5035 and we turned right onto the Northbound A34 through Trentham. We turned left onto Whitm ore Road and we crossed over the A519 onto the A5182. We headed Westwards for a few miles and at the end of the road we turned left onto the Southbound A53 We ran through Whitmore and Balwins gate and we crossed over the A51 by The Swan With Two Necks. We continued through Loggerheads and to the North of Market Drayton and on the other side of town we stopped in a layby. The food wagon had finished serving so we continued towards Shrewsbury down the A53. We ran through Tern Hill and Shawbury and at the edge of town we took a wrong turn and headed along .We did a u-turn at the next roundabout and we turned sharp right onto the A5112. We continued for a short distance and we stopped at a pub. Matthew went to the toilet and after we returned we met back up with mum and uncle Dave. Matthew had a beefburger with and extra chicken burger with fries washed down with a glass of Coke. After we had finished we headed back to the car. We set off onto the A5112 and we drove a few hundred yeard before turning right into Tesco. We parked up and we said goodbye to mum. We walked along the side of Tesco to the the bus stop to wait for a bus into Shrewsbury. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was Arriva Midlands 2511 on a #25 to Shrewsbury.

We got on the bus and we booked a Shrewsbury and Telford Day Saver at £8.50 before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off Southwards along the unnamed road and we turned right onto Harlescott Lane. We ran under the railway Line and we turned left onto Lancaster Road. We turned right onto York Road and we ran forwards onto Gloucester Road. We turned left onto Little Harlescott Lane and we turned left onto Mount Pleasant Road. We ran under the railway line and we turned left onto the A5191. At the roundabout we did a u-turn and we headed Southwards down the A5191. We ran Southwards into Shrewsbury and we went under the railway line. We turned right onto Smithfield Road and we turned left into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we visited the toilet. We walked out for the bus station and we saw First Lakeside 44971 on Layover.

We decided to go and get cake so we headed onto Smithfield Road. We walked around the corner and on the way to the cake shop we saw Arriva Midlands 2976 on a #512 to Shrewsbury.

We arrived at the cak shop and Matthew had a huge slice of millionaire's shortbreab and a can of Coke. We walked back along Smithfield Road to the bus station and Matthew ate the millionaire's shortbread. We sat and wayched buses for a while. We sa Select Bus 3 on a arrive on a #96 service from Telford before going over to the layover area.

We took a few more picture and we headed into the bus station to catch another bus. A short time later we saw a bus come onto the stand. We saw it was Arriva Midlands 2960 on a #11 to Bicton Heath.

We got on the bus and and we flashed the Arriva Midlands Day Saver ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus before the bus set off out off the bus station onto the A458. We went around the Welsh Bridge. We turned left onto Copthorne Road. We ran down Mytton Oak Road and we turned into the hospital and as we travelled through the hospital the Hospital. We turned right onto Mytton Oak Road. We continued through Bowbrook. We turned right onto Gains Park Way. We headed down the hill into Bicton Heath. We turned right onto Gains Avenue and we turned left onto Gains Park Way and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew took another picture of Arriva Midlands 2960 as it continued towards Shrewsbury.

Once off the bus we had planned to wait around for a while and catch the next #11, but as we settle down in the stop we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was Tanat Valley 235 on a X77 to Shrewsbury. We got on the bus and we purchased singles to Shrewsbury at £1.60 before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down Gains Park Way and we continued through Bowbrook. We turned left onto Mytton Oak Road and we turned into the hospital where they are building some new hospital wards. We turned left onto Mytton Oak Road and we ran down Copthorne Road. We ran forwards onto the A458. We went around the Welsh Bridge. We turned left onto the A458 and we turned right into the bus station we got up and got off the bus and Matthew took a picture of Tanat Valley 235 before it went off to the layover area.

We looked across the road and we saw Arriva Midlands 2975 on layover.

We considered what to catch next so we headed inside the bus station. Whilst there we saw Select Bus 6 on a #436 to Bridgnorth.

We had a look around to see what we could catch. A few minutes later we saw a bus pull on stand. As it ot closer we saw it was Arriva Midlands 2984 on #11 to Bicton Heath.

We got on the bus and and we flashed the Arriva Midlands Day Saver ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus before the bus set off out off the bus station onto the A458. We walked down Gains Avenue and we headed thruogh a passgeway onto the A458. We crossed over the road and we went into the Co-op. We bought a bottle of Coke and a chocolate bar. Once we had finished we paid for our stuff and we headed out of the shop. We crossed the A458 and we headed down the passageway. We went back to the same stop and we waited for the bus. Whilst we waited Matthew had a Milky Way. A few minutes later we saw the bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was Arriva Midlands 2960 on a #11 to Shrewsbury.

We got on the bus and and we flashed the Arriva Midlands Day Saver ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus before the bus set off down Gains Avenue. We turned left onto Gains Park Way and we continued through Bowbrook. We turned left onto Mytton Oak Road and we turned into the hospital. We turned left onto Mytton Oak Road. We ran down Copthorne Road. We ran forwards onto the A458. We went around the Welsh Bridge. We turned left onto the A458 and we turned right into the bus station we got up and got off the bus. We headed to the toilet but the toilet had shut. I suggested to Matthew we caught a bus out asap and got to Tesco. We looked across and we saw a bus we could catch. We saw it was Arriva Midlands 3692 on a #64 to Market Drayton.

We got on the bus and we placed the Shropshire and Telford Day Saver ticket for the final time today before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station onto Raven Mwadows and we turned right onto the A458. We turned left onto Chester Street and we turned right onto Cross Street and under the railway line. We turned left onto the A5191 and we headed Northwards out of town. I explained to Matthew that we could only go so far on this bus if he wanted to get 6 or more buses in for the day. We passed the roundabout with the Heathgates pub and we joined the Northbound A5112. We continued Northwards into Harlescott and we got up and got off the bus. Matthew took another picture of Arriva Midlands 3692 before it returned on a #25 to Shrewsbury.

We crossed over Harlescott Lane and we headed into Tesco. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards we bought a chcoclate bar. We walked across to where mum had parked the car. We got in the car and Matthew had a can of Cheery Coke. We set off out of the tesco car park and we turned left onto the Northbound A52. We travelled through Upper Astley for around 5 miles and into Shawbury. We stopped nin Shawbury. I went to the chip show and Matthew and mum went to the Co-op and bought a bottle of Dr Pepper and a chocolate bar. We went back to the car and Matthew had sausage chips and gravy. We set off onto the A53 and we headed Northwards. We crossed over the A41 and Northwards towards Market Drayton. We ran along the Market Drayton by-pass and we continued Northwards towards Loggerheads. we crossed over the A51 and up through Whitmore. We ran Northwards towards Newcastle and we turned right onto Trentham Road. We turned left onto the A519. We joined the Northbound A500. We ran through Hanford up to Stoke and we came off the A500. We turned right onto City Road and right again to go Southwards onto the A500. We veered left onto Wheildon Road and we went to uncle Dave's. We dropped off uncle Dave and Matthew got out to use the toilet and afterwards went to see uncle Rob. He also had some Fanta Orange and updated the calendar. Once we had dropped off uncle Dave we set off onto Wheildon Road. We ran forwards onto Grove Road and we saw green minibus R482 NDM parked up. We turned right onto Blurton Road and we crossed over the A50. We continued through Blurton and we turned right onto Church Road. We turned right onto the A5035 and we got back to Blurton around 20:00. Matthew chilled out on his computer and we did some of the Blog. We also wrote a few emails and generally used the computer to entertain ourselves. We did some of the Blog and Matthew got ready for bed. Matthew settled down around 00:00... Mark

Trip to Wrexham / Llandegla 14-09-2024

Today We decided to re-visit Wrexham. Reseach for the trip consisted of looking at the 1 bws ticket, looking at where we ate on our previous visits to Wrexham and checking the weather. The weather was for dry weather with some sunshine. Matthew woke up at 08:00 to have his medication. Matthew got up at 10:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. We got ready and we set off just after 12:00 to pick up uncle Dave. We got in the car and we ran along Beaconsfield Drive. We turned left onto Church Road and at the roundabout we veered left onto Blurton Road. We ran through Blurton and into Heron Cross and over the A50. At Heron Cross lights we turned left onto Grove Road and we ran forwards onto Wheildon Road and we picked up uncle Dave. Once we had picked up uncle Dave, we continued down Wheildon Road and we joined the Northbound A500. As we travelled up the A500 we saw AJS Passenger Travel AJ54 BUZ. We continued past the M6 and over the West coact main line before we turned right onto the B5071. We stopped at the YMCA asnd went into the cafe. Matthew had a full English Breakfast washed down with a can of Coke. Afterwards Matthew went to the toilet. We saw D&G Bus 92 on a #12 to Shavington. We got in the car and we turned around and went back South B5071. We turned left onto Laura Street and we continued down the Manor Way and left onto Brookhouse Drive. We followed the road around to the left and Davenport Avenue and back onto the B5071. and we joined the Westbound A500. We continued for a further 3 miles or so and we turned right onto the Nantwich bypass, past the new road under construction and we ran around the North side of Nantwich before joining the Westbound A534. We travelled west for around 4 miles and we crossed over the A49. We crossed over the A41 at Croxton and we continued to the eastern edge of Wrexham. We continued onto Holt Street and we ran into the centre of town. We veered right onto Chester Street and we turned left into the library car park and parked up. We said goodbye to mum and we walked onto Rhosddu Road. We continued to the bus station and we turned left onto Trinity Street walking past the buses on layover. We saw Arriva NW&W 2150 about to work a #11 to Minera.

Another vehicle seen was Tanat Valley 235 on a T12 Traws Cymru service to Newtown.

We went into the bus station and Matthew used the toilet. We had also seen an Arriva double decker on layover on the X51 to Denbigh. This is a service we often saw late on when it was too late to do a return trip on it. As we had only just got their we decided that today would be a good day to try this service. We had a bout 10 minutes to wait and after a short wait we saw the bus arrive on stand. As it got closer we saw it was Arriva NW&W 4547 on a X51 to Denbigh.

We got on the bus and we bought 1 bws tickets at £7 each before we went upstairs and sat down. We set off along Trinity Street and we followed the one way system around onto King Street. We joined the A5152 and we crossed over the A525. We ran through Coedpoeth and Gegin and we entered into Bwlchgwyn and Four Crosses. We veered right onto the A5104 and left onto Allt Yr Efail we ran into Llandegla. The bus turned in the road and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew took another picture of Arriva NW&W 4547 as it continued towards Denbigh.

Once off the bus we crossed over the road and walked around the corner to the Llandegla Community Shop & Cafe. The cafe was closed so we bought an ice pop and a Milky Way. We crossed back over the road to the Offa's Dyke sign and we sat on the bench whilst Matthew ate his ice pop and Milky Way. We saw on the map there was a landmark so we walked along Allt Yr Efail and crossed over the River Alyn. We turned left onto the public footpath and we crossed over a footbridge to the well. This ancient well is illedged to have healing properties including curing epilepsy. After we had seen the well we returned over the footbridge and along the footpath. We turned right onto Allt Yr Efail and we headed back to the bus stop. We had around 10 minutes to wait and a short time later we saw the bus coming down the hill. As it got closer we saw it was Arriva NW&W 4487 on a X51 to Wrexham.

We got on the bus and we placed the 1 bws tickets under the scanner before we went upstairs and sat down. We set off up Allt Yr Efail and we turned right onto the A5104. We turned left into the A525 and we ran through Bwlchgwyn. We continued through Minera ran up through Coedpoeth and we turned left into Croesnewydd Road and we ran down the hill to Wrexham and we turned left into the A5152 and we got up and got off the bus and Matthew took a picture of Arriva NW&W 4487 as it continued towards Wrexham.

Once off the bus the plan was to wait for another bus into the bus station. A bus stopped, but they driver said it was a set down only stop as we were not that far from the bus station. So we set off on foot back to the previous stop. We set off along the A5152 in a South West direction and we turned right onto Watery Road. We stopped at the bus stop just before the level crossing. We had a bout 10 minutes to wait for the next bus. A short time later we saw an unidentified Solo SR approaching. As it got closer we saw it was Arriva NW&W 703 on a #12 to Wrexham.

We got on the bus and we placed the 1bws day tickets under the scanner before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off down Croesnewydd Road and we crossed over the A5152 the last two few hundres yards or so into the cente of Wrexham and past Wreham General railway station. We turned right into Regent Street and left into King Street. We turned left into Lord Street and we stopped outside the bus station and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we had a look around to see what we could catch. We saw Arriva NW&W 1005 on layover.

We decided to do the T12 to Oswestry as far as Chirk. We saw it was Tanat Valley 236 on the T12 to Oswestry.

We got on the bus and we placed the 1bws day tickets under the scanner before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Trinity Street and we followed the one way system around onto King Street. We joined the A541 and and we came off by the Wrexham AFC statdium and headed Southwards down the A483. As we travelled Northwards we saw an unidentified Don Fraser coach. We went under the A5 and we ran under the Chirk bypass and we turned left onto the B5070 and we ran the final mile or so into the centre of Chirk and we got up and got off. Once off the bus Matthew took another picture of Tanat Valley 236 as it continued towards Welshpool.

Once off the bus we walked up Church Street and we headed into the Hand Hotel. Matthew went to the toilet. Afterwards we went to the bar and we had a glass of Coke. We sat near to the reception desk and we had ours drinks. When we had fnished we went outside to uncle Dave. We crossed the road and waited at the bus stop. We only had to wait a couple of minutes and the bus appeared. As it got closer we saw it was Arriva NW&W 3210 on a #2A to Wrexham.

We got on the bus and we placed the 1bws day tickets under the scanner before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off up the B5070 and we turned right onto Colliery Road. We follwed Colliery Road to the left and we ran through the housing estate before rejoining the Northbound B5070. We turned right onto the A5 and we ran to the A483 where we turned left. We ran fast Northwards over the Dee and we turned left onto the A539. We veered left onto the B5605 and we ran into Rhosymedre. We turned right onto High Street and we ran into Cefn Mawr. We turned left onto Oxford Street and we ran past Tesco. We joined the B5096 and we ran up the hill to the main road. As we approached Ruabon we turned right onto Wynnstay Lane. We turned right onto Hampden Way and we ran Westwards alongside the A539 in to opposite direction that we had just travelled along. We ran forwards onto Oak Road and we turned right onto the A539 and we headed back Eastwards. We ran up to the roundabout and we turned left onto the B5605. We ran through Ruabon and as we headed Northwards we continued for around another mile up to Johnstown and we got up and got off by the big Co-op. Once off the bus Matthew took another picture of Arriva NW&W 3210 as it continued Northwards towards Wrexham.

Once off the bus we gheaded to the Co-op to get supplies. In the car park was blue minibus EF05 YCE parked up nearby.

We went into the shop and we bought a can of Coke and a large Galaxy Caramel bar. We headed back to the bus stop and we shared out the chocolate bar whist we waited for the bus. A short time later we saw Arriva NW&W 2155 on a #2 to Oswestry. Not long after that we saw a bus approaching from the South. As it got closer we saw it was Arriva NW&W 3209 on a #2 to Wrexham.

We got on the bus and we flashed the 1 bws ticket to the driver for the final time today before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of Johnstown and we continued into Rhostyllen and we ran under the A483. We ran up the A5152 the last two miles or so into the cente of Wrexham and past Wreham General railway station. We turned right into Regent Street and left into King Street. We turned left into Lord Street and we stopped outside the bus station. where we got up and got off the bus. We turned right onto Rhosddu Road and we cut through by the library to the car park. Mum appeared in the car and we did a crew change. Matthew had a cup of Fanta with ice. Once in the car we drove along King Street and we turned left onto Lord Street. We turned left onto Trinity Street and left onto Rhosddu Road. We turned right onto the A5152 and right onto Chester Street. We followed the road around onto Holt Street and we turned right onto Market Street. We parked up and I went to the chip shop. Matthew had sausage, chips and gravy washed down with a can of Cherry Coke. Once I had finished eating we set off along Market Street and we turned right onto Holt Street. We ran to the edge of town and we joined the Eastbound A534. We ran out of town through Rhosnesni and we joined the main A534 and ran Eastwards out of town. We ran up to Nantwich crossing the A41 and A49. We joined the A51 and we passed the site of a new Shell petrol station where work has statrted. We continued Nantwich by-pass and we ran around the North side of town and we joined the A500. We crossed under the M6 and we continued through Longport and Etruria into Stoke and we forgot to come off the A500 for uncle Dave. We joined the Eastbound A50 and we headed up to Heron Cross. We turned left onto Blurton Road and left onto Grove Road and we ran into Fenton. We dropped off uncle Dave's house. Matthew used the toilet and added some dates to uncle Dave's calendar. We got back in the car and we ran back up Wheildon Road and forwards onto Grove Road. We turned right onto Blurton Road and we crossed over the A50. We ran through Blurton and at the roundabout we veered right onto Church Street. We turned right onto the A5035 and back to Blurton. Later on we did some more of the Blog. We chilled out on the sofa until bedtime around 00:00... Mark

Today we decided to re-visit Warrington. Research consisted of looking at where we ate when we last visited in 2021, and to check the weather. Which was for warm dry weather with some sunshine. Matthew woke up at 08:00 and had his medication. Matthew got up at 09:30 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. We got in the car and we set off just before 11:50. We set off along Beaconsfield Drive. We turned left onto Church Road and at the roundabout we veered left onto Blurton Road. We ran through Blurton and into Heron Cross and over the A50. At Heron Cross lights we turned left onto Grove Road passing silver minibus Y661 TNS. We ran forwards onto Wheildon Road and we picked up uncle Dave. Once we had picked up uncle Dave, we continued down Wheildon Road and we joined the Northbound A500. As we travelled up the A500 we saw silver minibus PY17 OFP. We ran up to Bathomley Interchnage and we joined the Northbound M6. Seen on the M6 was an unidentified Sky Coaches coach, An unidentified Goward coach. white minibus VK70 OGF, grey minibus VO64 GER / LV70 RXC, an unidentified Megabus coach(unnamed) and Inline Travel RHZ 2157. We came off the M6 at junction 20 and we joined the Northbound A50. We ran through Grappenhall and we crossed over the Manchester Ship Canal. We ran under the railway line and we crossed over the A5061 onto Grange Avenue and we turned right onto Westy Lane. We stopped opposite to the cafe and we parked up. We went into the cafe and Matthew had a full English Breakfast washed down can of Coke. When we had finished we crossed over the road and we got back into the car. We set off along Westy Lane and we turned left onto Kingsway South. We turned left onto the A57 and we ran into town. We crossed over the roundabout and we turned into the car park. After we parked up we went down the stairs and we walked through the Golden Square Shopping Centre. We went down into the Interchange. We went to use the toilets and the toilets were closed. We walked though the interchnage and we went to the pub by the shopping centre. Matthew used the toilet and afterwards had a glass of Coke. When we had finished we met up with uncle Dave and we walked along Winwick Street. We crossed over the road and we walked along the other side of the Interchange. We saw Warrington's Own Buses 235 parked up on layover.

We continued to the other end and we saw Warrington's Own Buses 1021 on a #32 to Widnes.

We had a walk around and we tried to decide on a bus to catch. We spotted a bus heading Northwards up towaeds Winwick on stand. As we got closer we saw it was Warrington's Own Buses 220 on a #19 to Leigh.

We got on the bus and we bought Adult Day Network tickets at £5.90 each before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off along the bus station and turned around to head back onto Winwick Street. We went under the railway line past Warrington Central station. At the roundabout we veered right onto Pinners Brow. We turned left onto the A49 and we headed Northwards. We travelled Northwards through Orford and we crossed over the M62 into Winwick where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we walked over to Burger King and Matthew had a cup of Dr Pepper. When we had finished we walked outside to meet uncle Dave and we crossed over the A49 to the bus stop on the opposite side of the road. We had about 10 minutes to wait for thw bus. A short time later we saw the bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was Warrington's Own Buses 1005 on a #19 to Warrington.

We got on the bus and we placed the Adult Day Network tickets under the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off Southwards down the A49 and we crossed over the M62. As we travelled South I we passed the Winwick Quays Hotel which is having a restaurant added to it. We travelled down the A49 through Orford and into the North end of Warrington. We followed the A49 to the left and we turned right into Pinners Row. We turned left into Winwick Street. We ran past the railway station under the railway line and we entered the Interchange. Once off the bus we had a look around to see what we might catch. We saw Warrington's Own Buses 94 on a #16A to Dallam.

We walked back into the bus station and we saw a bus on stand. As it got closer we saw it was Warrington's Own Buses 249 on a #14 Great Sankey circular.

We got on the bus and we placed the Adult Day Network tickets under the scanner before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off out bus station and through the tunnel under the shopping centre before turning left onto Leigh Street. We turned right onto Sankey Street and we ran forwards onto Liverpool Road. We crossed over the railway line and at the roundabout we turned left at the roundabout onto Old Liverpool Road. We ran for around 1/2 mile through Sankey Bridges and we turned left onto the A562. We turned right onto the A574 and we turned left onto Canons Road and we ran forwards onto Hood Lane North and we turned left into Dorchester Road. We turned right onto Sycamore Lane and we turned left into Tankersley Grove. We turned left onto the A5281 and we turned right into the A57. We turned left onto St Mary's Road and right onto Meeting Lane. We turned right onto Stocks Lane and left onto the A57 and right onto Lingley Road. We got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we set off along Lingley Road and we went to the pub. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards we went to the bar and Matthew had a glass of Coke. When we had finished we went outside and we met up with uncle Dave. We turned left onto Lingley Road and we crossed over to the opposite stop. We had some time before the bus was due and there was no seat at the bus stop, so we continued up Lingley Road to the green and the next stop with had a bench next to it. About 10 miutes later the bus appeared. As it got closer we saw it was Warrington's Own Buses 243 on a #15 to Warrington.

We turned right onto Stocks Lane and we turned left onto Meeting Lane and we turned left onto St Mary's Road and right onto the A57. We turned left onto the A5281 and we turned right onto Tankersley Grove. We turned right onto Sycamore Lane and we turned left onto Hood Lane North and we ran onto forwards Canons Road. We turned right onto the A574 and we turned left onto the A57. At the roundabout we turned right onto the A5061. We crossed over the railway line just North of Warrington Bank Quay railway station, and we ran forwards onto Sankey Street. We turned left onto Legh Street and we turned right under the shopping centre and through the tunnel into the interchange. Once we got off the bus we visted the shop. Matthew bought a bottle of Coke and some chocolate bars. We went to the end of the bus station to take a few pictures. We saw Warrington's Own Buses 242 on a #16A to Dallam.

We walked back into the bus station to see what else we might catch. We saw one of the older Volvo sibngle deckers so we decied to have a look what it was. As we got closer we saw it was Warrington's Own Buses 84 on a #20 Orford circular.

We got on the bus and we flashed the ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off along the bus station and turned around to head back onto Winwick Street. We went under the railway line past Warrington Central station. At the roundabout we veered right onto Pinners Brow. We crossed over the A49 onto Orford Lane. We continued Northwards to Jubilee Way and we ran down to The Orford Centre. After passing the bus stop we returned to the A49. We turned right nto the A49. We turned right ono Long Lane and left onto Northway. We turned left ono Sandy Lane and we ran forwards onto Cotswold Road where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we crossed over the road to the opposite bus stop. We went into the bag and Matthew had the double milky Way that we had bought att he shop earlier. We waited for a few minites for the next bus to appear. After a short wait we saw an electric bus come around the corner. It was Warrington's Own Buses 1009 on a #21 to Warrington.

We got on the bus and we flashed the the Adult Day Network tickets under the driver for the final time today before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We ran forwards onto Sandy Lane and at the next roundabout we turned right onto Northway. At the end of Northwards we turned right onto the A50 and then left onto the A49. We continued Southwards to Jubilee Way and we ran down to The Orford Centre. After passing the bus stop we returned to the A49. We turned left onto Pinners Brow and Left onto Winwick Street. We ran under the railway line and we turned right into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we had a walk around the Interchnge to take a few more pictures. We saw Omega Busways V23 HOW on a #47 to Statham Massey.

We walk alongside the A57 and around the corner to the other entrance to the shopping centre. We headed to the lift and we went up to the car. We met with mum and Matthew had a cup of Cherry Coke. We set off out of the car park and we headed Westwards along the A57. We turned right and headed Northwards towards the M62. After a brief discussion we decided to fing a chip shop to have something to eat. We turned left onto Westbrook Way and we ran forwards onto White Avenue. We turned left onto the A57 and we headed back towards to town. We stopped at a chip shop and Matthew had sausage chips and gravy. When I had finished eat we set of along the A57 and we went forwards onto Froghall Lane and we turned left onto the B5210. We took a rong turn onto Bewsey street so we turned around and rejoined the B5210. We headed along Pinners Brow and we tirned right onto the A49. We joined the Eastboud A57 and we turned right onto the A50. We crossed over the River Mersey and we continued over the Manchester Ship Canal. We joined the M6 at Junction 20 and we headed Southwards. Seen on the M6 were white minibus FP67 HZA and Brookline BC20 BLC which past us enabling Matthew to get a picture of Brookline BC20 BLC.

We came off the M6 at junction 16 and we ran though Longport and Etruria into Stoke. We came off the A500 and we diverted onto Wheildon Road. We dropped off uncle Dave and Matthew got out to use the toilet. Matthew also took a can of Irn Bru into the house to drink in front of Uncle Rob who no longer drinks pop. Once we had dropped off uncle Dave we set off onto Wheildon Road and past the former Regent pub which is now an Indian Restaurant. We ran forwards onto Grove Road and we saw green minibus R482 NDM parked up. We turned right onto Blurton Road and we crossed over the A50. We continued through Blurton and we turned right onto Church Road. We turned right onto the A5035 and we got back to Blurton around 20:45. Matthew chilled out on his computer and we did some of the Blog. We also wrote a few emails and generally used the computer to entertain ourselves. We watched TV and Matthew got ready for bed. Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. He was also going to see Grandma later on and going to the pub and returning to Blurton for a long weekend. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Once Matthew had finished his breakfast he chilled out in his room until it was time to go to the day centre. We saw Taxico WX07 DFV going towards Stoke. When it was time to go out we went downstairs and we set off on foot to the day centre. We walked onto Temple Street and right onto Christchurch Street. At the day centre we saw Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX.

In the morning we went to Hereford. Transport for the trip was Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We got on the bus and we sat down. We set off onto Glebedale Road and turned left onto City Road. We ran down the hill through the roadworks and we ran forwards onto the A52. We went under the railway line and we turned left onto the Southbound A500. We ran past Sideways to Hanford and we turned left onto the Southbound A34. We ran through Trentham and we continued through Tittensor and to the West of Stone. We continued Southwards into Stafford and we continued onto the A449. We joined the M6 at junction 13 and we ran Southwards. We continued into the West Midlands and at junction 8 joined the Southbound M5. We ran down to junction 3 and we joined the Westbound A456. We ran through Kidderminster and we continued to the A49. We headed South through Leominster and we entered Hereford from the North. We went into town and we saw Lugg Valley 124 on a #492 to Leominster. We coninued into town and we parked up. Matthew ate at the Hereford bus station cafe. For dinner Matthew had a cooked breakfast washed down with a can of Coke. Whilst there we saw Stagecoach West 25213 on a #36 to Monmouth and Stagecoach South Wales 28725 on a X3 to Cardiff. When we had finished we set off back to Fenton on Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We set off Northwards up the A49 and we headed Eastwards along the A456. We passed through Kidderminster and we joined the Northbound M5. We headed into the West Midlands and we joined the Northbound M6. We came off the M6 at junction 13 and we headed into Stafford. We joined the A34 and we ran Northwards past the town centre. We continued to the West of Stone and up through Tittensor into Trentham. We came of the A34 at Hanford and we joined the Northbound A500. We came off the A500 at Stoke and we turned right onto the A52. We went under the railway line and we headed into Fenton along City Road. We turned right onto Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to his room to chill out and wait for me to arrive to pick him up. I arrived around 14:45 and Matthew got ready to go out. When he was ready we went downstairs and we walked through onto City Road. We saw D&G Bus 115 on a #1A to Wood Lane.

We walked to the bus stop but we weren't quick enough to get to the D&G bus. There was a #23 right behind. It turned the corner and as it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 43877 on a #23 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Stoke before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre along Church Street where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew we waited for a #25 to Newcastle. A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 67658 on a #11 to Newcastle.

We decided to do this bus to Newcastle instead. We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. After a brief stop in Stoke we set off along church Street and forwards onto Hartshill Road. We ran up the hill and into Hartshill. We ran forwards onto George Street and we ran down the hill into Newcastle. We turned left at the roundabout onto Barracks Road and into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we looked for a bus towards Grandma's house. Whilst we waited we spotted First Potteries 65705 on a #4 to Hanley.

A few minutes later we saw a couple of buses going in that direction. There was First Potteries 63172 on a #22 to Longton. We decided to do the Biddulph bus instead. We saw it was D&G 159 on a #9 to Biddulph.

We got on the bus and we booked to the Cherry Tree before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station onto Barracks Road. We ran Southwards onto the A34 and we got up and got off the bus by the Cherry Tree. Once off the bus we headed up the hill towards Grandma's. At Grandma's Matthew had toast and a can of Irn Bru and used her computer. When it was time to go we went to the pub in the car via uncle Daves house. We set off just after 17:30 and we set off onto Victoria Street. We turned the A34 and after the traffic lights we turned left onto The Avenue. At the end we turned right onto Hartshill Road. We ran down to Stoke and onto the one way system. We turned right onto Elenora Street and we followed the road around onto Copeland Street. We ran forwards onto Glebe Street and we followed the one way system onto Church Street. We crossed over the A500. We turned right onto the A500 and we veered left int Fenton to pick up uncle Dave. We set off back down towards Stoke and onto the A500. We went around the one-way system. We went around the one-way system. We ran up the hill into Hartshill and we continued to the edge of Newcastle and we caught up with First Potteries 65027 on a #101 to Stafford. We went forwards onto the one way-system and we turned left onto Barracks Road. As we passed the bus station we saw First Potteries 67659 on a #72 to Clayton. We turned left onto the A34 and we ran into Trent Vale to the pub. We walked into the pub and Matthew had a brunch with oatcakes followed by toffee sponge pudding with custard. Whilst we ate highlights of the passing buses included First Potteries 65036 on a #101 to Stafford, First Potteries 32633 on a #101 to Hanley and D&G Bus 159 running out of service towards the depot. Once we had finished eating we set off We carried on along the A34 through Hanford and into Trentham. We turned left onto the A5035 and we saw Happy Days 235 going towards the A34. We crossed over the railway line and into Blurton. We got back around 19:00. Matthew chilled out on his computer and we sorted a few things out. We wrote the Blog and we sent a couple of e-mails. We chilled out on the sofa until bedtime around 00:00... Mark
