Trip to Hanley / Stoke 05-07-2026

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going out on the bus. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. We saw Shelton Care Group YP70 JYJ outside. Later on we went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street and we went onto Christchurch Street. We walked through the passageway and across the car park onto City Road and JW Travel JW62 FLY. We walked up to Victoria place and we turned left onto Victoria Road. We walked down the hill to the park. In the park Matthew had a sit down and ate a washed down with a can of Coke. We left the park onto Beville Street and we turned left onto Victoria Road to wait for the bus at the bus stop. A few minutes later the bus turned up and it was dud First Potteries 63345 on a #6 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down. We set off down Victoria Road and we crossed over the A52 at Joiners Square. We ran up Lichfield Street and we turned left onto the ring road. We turned right onto Bethesda Street and right onto John Street and into the bus station and we got up and got off the bus and Matthew visited the toilet. Once off the bus we set off up Lichfield Street. We turned righ onto Old Hall Street anbd we went into B&M. Matthew did some shopping and we crossed over the road onto Old Hall Street past the site of the old bus station which has now been almost completely demolished. We turned the corner onto and we walked up Pound bakery and Matthew brought a sausage roll. We walked back along parliament Row and we continued into the Intu Potteries and we went up to HMV. Matthew visited the toilet and afterwards we left shopping centre we continued onto Tontime Square to Crown Bank abnd we sat and He also ate his sausage roll and drank the bottle of Coke. When we had finished we set off along Stafford Street and forwards onto Lichfield Street and back to the bus station. Matthew visited the toilet and afterwards we waited for a bus back towards Fenton. A short time later we saw First Potteries 67144 on a #43 to Milton. A short time later we saw a bus approaching. We saw it was First Potteries 63100 on a #25 to Keele.

We got on the bus and we booked to Stoke before we sat down. We set off through the bus station. and onto John Street. We turned right onto Bethesda Street. We crossed over the ring road and we ran down through Shelton along Regent Road and College Road. We turned left onto Station Road and we past the railway station. We ran forwards onto the A52. We got off the bus. Once off the bus we got in car crossed over the A52 and we ran alongside the railway line before turning left onto City Road. We ran under the railway line and up the hill into Fenton. We turned right onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto Baker Street and we saw past the former day centre. We turned left onto Glebedale Road and right onto City Road. As we ran up onto King Street we passed the site of the new Burger King being built. We turned right onto the A50 link road and we joinrf the Eastbound A50. AS the route into Longton was busy we continued upto Normacot. We came of the A50 at Normacot and we turned left onto Uttoxeter Road. As we headed into Longton and we turned right onto Kingcross Street and parked in the car park. Once parked up they headed back to Market Street. We returned to the car and we headed back to the residential unit. We set off onto Commerce Street and we went around the roundabout and onto The Strand and under the railway line onto King Street. We continued down through Fenton and forwards onto City Road. We turned left onto Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street. When we got back to the residential unit we went upstairs to his room to chill out and watch buses before going out later on. Later on we went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street. We turned left onto Smithpool Road. We crossed over the railway line and we walked down to the entrance of the park. For dinner Matthew had washed down a can of Irn Bru. In the park Matthew walked up to the playground. Once we had finished in the park we walked back along Grove Road. We crossed over the Whieldon Road and we turned left onto Smithpool Road. We turned right onto Masterson Street and we turned left onto Watkin Street. We continued onto Temple Street and back to the residential until we went downstairs and we sat in the lounge. We had a birthday party for one of the staff member. Matthew had eggs sandwiches and a cup of Coke. A cake was brought out and we sang happy birthday. Later on Matthew had a piece of birthday cake. Matthew also played bingo. Matthew went upstairs to his room to chill out and use his computer. He also watched buses out of the window. Matthew spent time in his room watching television and using his computer. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going on the bus. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Whilst waiting to go to Hanley we saw Copeland's Tours MIB 992. We went downstairs and we walked through onto City Road. We waited at the bus stop by the flats for a bus towards Hanley. A short time later we saw D&G Bus 113 on a #1 to Park Site.

The bus turned the corner and as it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67151 on a #23 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we joined the A52 and ran under the railway line. After crossing over the A500 we ran into Stoke town centre along Church Street. We followed the one-way system around onto Elenora Street and right onto Copeland Street. We turned left onto Glebe Street and we ran under the railway line before turning left onto Station Road. After stopping briefly outside the railway station we turned right onto College Road and We turned left onto Avenue Road and we turned right onto Snow Hill. We turned left and ran up Broad Street. We turned right onto the ring road and left onto Bethesda Street. We turned right onto John Street and we ran up to the bus station. Once in the bus station we got up and got off the bus. We waited for a bus to Newcastle. We ran down John Street and we turned right onto Bethesda Street. We turned left onto Broad Street. We visited Tesco and Matthew brought viennetta mint ice cream. Once we had finished in Tesco we cut through onto the clockwise ring road and we continued down onto Etruria Road and we walked over to Sports Direct to get some trainers. When we had finished there we walked over to Etruria Road and into Hanley. We continued onto trinity Street before turning right into Stafford Street and we turned right onto Piccadilly. We turned right onto Fountain Square and left onto Tontine Street and we crossed over Parliament Row. We stopped at McDonalds and we had tea. Matthew had a burger and fries washed down with a cup of Coke. When we had finished we walked along Parliament Row and across Tontine Square. We stopped at the PDSA charity shop before continuing up to Stafford Street and we stopped at the cosmetics shop to buy dinner and we turned right onto Piccadilly and we saw Stanton's of Stoke SVS 924.

We re-joined Marsh Street and into Katharine House – The Big Charity Shop and we brought some stuff. We returned to Marsh Street and we crossed over New Hall Street. We crossed over Stafford Street. Once we had finished we went to the Intu Potteries shopping centre. after visiting shops in the shopping centre. We set off along Tontine Street and onto Lichfield Street and back to the bus station. A short time later we saw First Potteries 67150 on a #7A to Biddulph. As it got closer we saw that it was First Potteries 67157 on a #23 to Newstead.

We got on the bus bus and we booked to Fenton before We sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off through the bus station. and onto John Street. We turned right onto Bethesda Street and left onto Broad Street. We ran down the hill and over the ring road onto Snow Hill Before we turned left onto Avenue Road. At the roundabout we turned right onto College Road. We ran down though Shelton along College Road and we ran down to the railway station. We turned right onto Glebe Street and under the railway line an we ran around the one-way system in Stoke and stopped by Stoke Minster. We turned left onto Church Street and we crossed the A500 and under the railway line. We ran up City Road. At the top of the hill we got up and got off the bus. We crossed over city Road and walked back to the residential unit. Matthew went back upstairs and Matthew went to his room to chill out. He used his computer and watched buses out of the window. We went downstairs and we set off onto City Road and we saw JW Travel NK18 GDF.

We got to the stand and we saw it was D&G Bus 111 on a #1 to Park Site.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre. We continued along Church Street onto Hartshill Road and into the centre of Hartshill. We turned left into the Avenue and left again onto Hilton Road before turning right into the City General Hospital. As we travelled through the hospital we saw ERS Medical FJ22 FUT. Once through the hospital we turned right onto the A34 and we ran into Newcastle. We crossed the roundabout and we ran up Barracks Road and into the bus station from the South end. Once we got to the bus station we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we set off along Hassell Street and we turned right onto High Street. We turned right onto Ironmarket and we stopped at the pub. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards had glass of Coke. For tea Matthew had a burger and fries followed by chocolate fudge cake and ice cream. When we had finished eating we set off onto Ironmarket and we turned left onto High Street. We turned left onto Hassell Street and we returned to the bus station. On Stubbs Street we saw First Potteries 63175 on a #4A to Hanley. A few minutes later we saw our bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was D&G Bus 780 on a #1A to Meir.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station onto Barracks Road and we ran Southwards onto the A34. We turned left into the hospital and we ran through the the grounds. As we travelled through the hospital we saw ABC Supreme HV22 HKB. We turned left onto Hilton Road. We continued onto Albany Road and we turned right onto The Avenue. At the end of the road we turned right onto the A52 and we ran through Hartshill and down the hill into Stoke town centre. After a brief stop we continued along Church Street out of Stoke and over the A500. We ran under the railway line and we continued onto City Road. At the top of the hill we got up and got off the bus. We crossed over city Road and walked back to the residential unit. Matthew went back upstairs to chill out in his room and use his computer and watch buses out of the window. Matthew chilled out in his room. He watched television and used his computer. Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.
