Today Matthew was going back to Blurton and going to Grandma's. He was also going out on the bus. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had his medicine. For breakfast Matthew had toast and orange juice. In the morning Matthew went out on the bus. We went downstairs and we cut through onto City Road and walked to the stop outside the flats. We waited for a bus to Hanley. A short time later we saw a bus approaching. We saw it was First Potteries 67153 on a #23 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we joined the A52 and ran under the railway line. After crossing over the A500 we ran into Stoke town centre along Church Street. We followed the one-way system around onto Elenora Street and right onto Copeland Street. We turned left onto Glebe Street and we ran under the railway line before turning left onto Station Road. After stopping briefly outside the railway station we turned right onto College Road and We turned left onto Avenue Road and we turned right onto Snow Hill. We turned left and ran up Broad Street. We turned right onto the ring road and left onto Bethesda Street. We turned right onto John Street and we ran up to the bus station. Once in the bus station we got up and got off the bus. We waited for a bus to Newcastle. We were considering what bus to do next and we saw First Potteries 35947 on a #101 to Stafford. A few minutes later we saw a bus come around the corner. It was First Potteries 47519 on a #4 to Crackley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Cross Heath. The bus was empty, so Matthew took a picture inside First Potteries 47519 before we sat down towards the back of the bus.

We set off out of the bus station and onto John Street. At the bottom of the road we turned right onto Bethesda Street. We turned left onto Broad Street and then we joined the clockwise ring road. At the end we turned left onto Etruria Road before going under the A53 onto Festival Way. We ran past Waterworld and we turned left onto Forge Lane past a new minibus building by the Brindley Farm pub. We looped under the A53 and we joined the Westbound A53. We crossed over the A500 at Etruria and and we ran up the hill into Basford where we saw First Potteries 63117 on a #4 to Hanley. We ran down hill to the edge of Newcastle and we got onto the one way system. At the jubilee roundabout we turned left onto Barracks Road before turning right into the bus station. After a short stop we set off out of the bus station onto Barracks Road. We turned left onto Ryecroft and veered left onto Merrial Street. We turned right onto High Street and forwards onto Liverpool Road. We turned left onto the Ryecroft and right onto the Northbound A34. We ran North onto up past the former bus garage to Cross Heath and we got up and got off the bus outside the motorcycle shop. We got a taxi back to Newcastle. It was a lucky seven taxi. We got in the taxi and we set off Southwards down the A34. We turned right into Sainsbury's and we got out of the taxi. In Sainsbury's we brought a bottle of Coke. Matthew used the toilet and afterwards we walked next door to the new building on Hall Street and we went upstairs. Matthew had sausage chips and gravy wash down with a bottle of Coke. After we crossed under the A34 and onto Bridge Street. We continued onto High Street and we turned left onto Hassell Street and back to the bus station. We waited for a bus towards Stoke. AS short time later we saw it was First Potteries 35941 on a #25 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off out of the bus station onto barracks Road and we ran down onto the Southbound A34. We turned left into the hospital and we ran through the grounds and onto Hilton Road. We continued onto Albany Road and we turned right onto The Avenue. At the end of the road we turned right onto the A52 and we ran through Hartshill and down the hill into Stoke town centre. We went forwards onto Church Street and the bus topped in the town centre. After a brief stop we continued over the A500 and we got up and got off the bus just before the railway bridge. We walked up City Road and we turned right onto Smithpool Road. We turned left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs and back to his room to chill out and wait for us to arrive. Matthew had a bottle of orange Fanta. We got to Matthew just after 15:00 and we said goodbye to meum and cut through onto City Road. On the way to the bus stop we saw Afford Rent-A-Car YM70 BXL parked outside their garage.

We continued to the bus stop and waited for a bus. Whilst we waited we saw Autocabs DX17 VWC headed towards Longton.

A short time later we saw the bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67156 on a #11 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre along Church Street. After a brief stop in Stoke we continued along church Street and forwards onto Hartshill Road. We ran up the hill and into Hartshill and in the petrol station. We ran forwards onto George Street and we ran down the hill into Newcastle. We turned left at the roundabout onto Barracks Road and into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we had a look around to see what we might catch. We saw D&G Bus 21 on a #1 to Park Site.

Another vehicle we considered catching was D&G Bus 523 on a #9 to Biddulph.

We decided we would do the double decker on the Hanley service. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 35943 on a #25 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to the hospital before going upstairs. The rear of the top deck was empty, so Matthew took a picture inside First Potteries 35943 before we sat down.

We set off out of the bus station onto Barracks Road. We ran Southwards onto the A34 and we got up and got off the bus by the Cherry Tree. We got off the bus and Matthew took a picture of First Potteries 35943 as it continued towards Hanley.

Once off the bus we headed along the A34 and we went up the hill towards Grandma's. At Grandma's Matthew had toast and a can of Irn Bru and used her computer. He also had some Yule log that was left over from Chrsitmas. When it was time to go we went to the pub and we headed down Occupation Street. We turned left onto the A34 and we saw First Potteries 47520 on a #22 to Newcastle. We continued southwards into Trent Vale we past the Greggs. We continued through Trent Vale and we stopped at the pub. We walked into the pub and we sat down at our one our normal tables. Matthew had a brunch with oatcakes followed by toffee sponge pudding with ice cream. Highlights of the bus sightings included First Potteries 33828 on a #101 to Stafford and First Potteries 33827 on a #101 to Hanley. Once we had finished eating we saw Roseville H19 DXR go Southwards. We set off We carried on along the A34 through Hanford and into Trentham. We turned left onto the A5035. We crossed over the railway line and into Blurton. We got back around 19:00. Matthew chilled out on his computer and we sorted a few things out. Matthew also had a can of Cherry Coke. We wrote the Blog and sent a couple of e-mails. Matthew also finished off the rest of the Yule Log. We chilled out on the sofa until bedtime around 00:00... Mark
