Today we decided to re-visit Wigan. We asked Matthew where he wanted to go during the week and he chose to go to Wigan. Research for the trip was looking at the weather, which was for dry weather with some sunshine and we also researched a new place to eat. Matthew woke up around 08:00 and had his medication. Matthew got up around 09:30 and had toast for breakfast. Later on he had a can of Irn Bru. We got ready to go out and we went out around 11:45. We got in the car and we set off through Blurton onto Beaconsfield Drive. We turned left onto Church Road and at the roundabout we veered left onto Blurton Road. We ran through Blurton and into Heron Cross and over the A50. At Heron Cross lights we turned left onto Grove Road. We ran forwards onto Wheildon Road and we picked up uncle Dave. Once we had picked up uncle Dave, we continued down Wheildon Road and we joined the Northbound A500. We saw a S.A,S Travel CV68 TBX, blue minibus FG73 YBR, Z Carz YT17 GXA, taxi minibus SF67 BNV and Roseville KR16 SOA. We joined the M6 and it was mving well today. After a short while we saw we got on the M6 we saw Little's E4 heading Notyhwards.

Continug up the M6 we saw 2 x Options, grey tri axle coach, an unidentified Robinson's coach, grey minibus MC74 XTP, white minibus AE56 HCJ. We pulled into Knutsford Services as we had a fault on the car. we stopped and restarted and the fault cleared. On the services we saw silver minibus EF19 JKE and Prospect PR15 JAK. We re-joined the M6 and as we travelled Northwards we saw Alfa 105.

We continued up the M6 and we came off at junction 24. We joined the Northbound A49 and we ran towards Wigan. We continued up the A577 and we went past the retail park. We crossed under a railway line closed to Wigan Pier we turned left onto Wilcock Street. We parked up and we went to the Frexh Cafe. Matthew used the toilet and mum went to order the food. Matthew had a breakfast washed down with a bottle of Cherry Coke. When we had finished eating we went to the counter an bought a slice of cake. We headed back to the car and as we drove inti town Matthew ate the cake. We set off along Wilcock Street and we turned left onto Miry Lane. We turned right onto Prescott Street. We turned right onto Frog Lane and right onto Dorning Street. We turned left onto Richmond Street and continued onto Hallgate. There was nowhere to stop so we turned right Dorning Street. We turned left onto King Street West and left onto Crawford Street. We parked up and we said goodbye to mum. We walked onto Hallgate and we headed into the bus station. We stopped at the top end and Matthew used the toilet. We saw Go North West 4115 on a #601 to Hatfield Grange.

A short time later we saw an Arriva double decker approaching. As it came on stand we sw that it was Arriva NW&W 4643 on a #385 to Southport.

We got on the bus and we brought an system one anybus day ticket at £5 before we went upstairs and sat down. We set off out of the bus station onto Hallgate and we continued onto Dorning Street. We turned left out of King Street West and we turned right onto Wallgate. We passed the 2 railway stations and we ran under the railway line and onto the A577. We ran to the Wigan Pier and at the big rounsabout we continued onto the A577 through Newton and into Pemberton. We got up and got off the bus. After the bus had gone we crossed over the road and we walked back 1 stop to give us more choice of buses we could do back into Wigan. After a few minutes we saw a bus turn the corner. As it got closer we saw it was Go North West 4118 on a #604 Kitt Green circular.

We got on the bus and we flashed the System One anybus tickets to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off along the road and we ran the last 2 miles or so to the edge of town and we went over the big roundabout and over the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. We ran past Wigan Pier and we ran forwards onto Wallgate and under the West Coast Main Line. We past the 2 railway stations and we turned left onto King Street West. We turned right onto Dorning Street and we crossed Hallgate and into the bus station. We got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we headed down to the bottom end to take a few pictures. we saw Go North West 5201 on a #639 to Worsley Hill.

We headed into the bus station and we decided to catch another Arriva Bus. As we got to the stand we saw that it was Arriva NW&W 2967 on a #320 to St Helens.

We got on the bus and we flashed the System One busonly day ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off out of the bus station onto New Market Street and we turned right onto Mesnes Street. We ran forwards onto Compton Street and we crossed over the A49 onto the A573. We ran out of the town and we past Lidl and we crossed over the A577. We continued Southwards down the A573 and we crossed over the canal and under the railway line. We ran through Ince-in-Makerfield and we continued through Spring View and into Platt Bridge. We got up and got off the bus. Once of the bus we decided to have a quick look at the nearby scrapyard theat has a few buses in it. Of Note was Stagecoach 40649. We crossed over the road and we went into the Co-op. Matthew bought a bottle of Dr Pepper and a couple of chocolate bars. We went to the Northbound bus stop and Matthew ate a Twirl. We walked Northwards up to the Burger King. Matthew went to the toilet and I order him a cup of Coke. When we collected the order we walked back towards the bus stop. On the way we saw Arriva NW&W 4614 on a #320 to Wigan.

We got to the bus stop and Matthew finished off his drink. We waited for the next bus to Wigan. A short time later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was Go North West 3109 on a #609 to Wigan.

We got on the bus and we flashed the System One anybus tickets to the driver before we went upstairs and sat down. We set off Northwards towards Spring View. We continued up the A573 though Ince-in-Makerfield and to the edge of Wigan. We turned left onto the A577 and we crossed over the A49. We ran forwards onto King Street and we turned left onto Wallgate. We turned right onto King Street West and at the end we turned right onto Dorning Street. We entered the bus station and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we headed down to the bottom to take a few pictures. We saw Holmeswood YX25 OEP on a #110 to Preston.

We decided tha we would go to Westhoughton as there was a #607 due. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was Go North West 3495 on a #607 to Bolton.

We got on the bus and we flashed the System One anybus ticket to the driver before we went upstairs and sat down. We set off out of the bus station onto Dorning Street. We turned left onto King Street West and we turned left onto Wallgate. We turned right onto and we ran out of town. We travelled along Darlington Street East and we joined onto Manchester Road for the run into Hindley. We climbed up towards Castle Hill and we headed into the housing estate. We headed towards Hindley Green before turning and going past Greenbank industrial estate. We went North Eastwards towards Daisy Hill passing Orrell's NH14 HBH. We went through another housing estate before coming out on Market Street in Westhougton. We got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew took another picture of Go North West 3495 as it continued towards Bolton.

Once off the bus we headed into the pub. Matthew went to the toilet and afterqards we went to the bar and we ordered drinks. Matthew had a glass of Coke. We sat down and we finished off our drinks then went outside to meet up with uncle Dave. Once outside we saw Rotala Diamond 30650 on a #516 to Horwich.

We went to the bus stop and we looked for the next bus. We saw there was a #559 to Ashton-in-Makerfield due in a few minutes. Almost immediately we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was Rotala Diamond 30656 on a #559 to Ashton-in-Makerfield.

We got on the bus and we flashed the System One anybus tickets to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off along the Market Street and we passed through the town centre of Westhoughton. We turned left and we joined the Southbound A58. We went through the centre Hindley and we continued Eastwards through Platt Bridge. We got up and got off the bus. We crossed over the road and we waited for a bus up to Wigan. Whilst we waited we saw Bestway YJ68 CCX heading Southwards through PLatt Brdige.

A short time later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was Go North West 3109 on a #609 to Wigan.

We got on the bus and we flashed the System One anybus tickets to the driver before we went upstairs and sat down. We set off Northwards towards Spring View. We continued up the A573 though Ince-in-Makerfield and to the edge of Wigan. We turned left onto the A577 and we crossed over the A49. We ran forwards onto King Street and we turned left onto Wallgate. We turned right onto King Street West and at the end we turned right onto Dorning Street. We entered the bus station and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew went to the toilet. We came out of the bus station and we saw Go North West on layover.

We walked around the corner onto Hallgate and we waited for mum to arrive. Mum pulled up and we jumped into the car. We set off up Hallgate and we turned right onto dorning Street. We stopped at the bottom of the hill and uncle Dave jumped out quickly to photograph the uncle Joe's mintball factory. They have repainted this recently in a lighter shade of red than used to be there. We continued along Dorning Street and we turned left onto Frog Lane. We went under the railway bridge and we turned left onto Prescott Street. We turned left onto Miry Lane and right onto Herbert Street. We turned left onto the A577 and we ran around Wigan Pier before headed Southwards. We went under the Ormskirk line and at the big roundabout we veered left onto the B5386. We ran forwards onto the A49 and we stopped at the chip shop. Matthew had sausage chips and gravy washed down with a can of Irn Bru. After I had finished eating we continued South down the A49. We stopped at the petrol station and topped up with petrol. At thr roundabout we turned right to follow the A49 and we joined the Southbound M6. As we travelled down the M6 we saw silver minibus RX16 AVF and an unidentified Anthoy's Travel coach. We travelled Southwards through Cheshire and we came off the M6 at junction 16. We ran Southwards down the A500 through Longport and Etruria and we came off the A500 at Stoke. We ran forwards onto Whieldon Road and we stopped at uncle Dave's. Matthew used the toilet and had some of uncle Rob's orange Fanta. We update the calendar and we got back in the car. We set off up Whieldon Road and we ran forwards onto Grove Road. At Heron Cross we turned right onto Blurton Road and we crossed over the A50. We continued through Blurton and we turned right onto Church Road. We turned right onto the A5035 had just been re-surfaced. It was very dusty and very rough! We got back home just after 20:00. Matthew had his medication and we updated the Blog and wrote and e-mail. Today we decided to revisit Ellesmere Port and Chester for the first time in a long time. Research consisted of checking what ticket we needed, Checking the car parking in Chester and checking the Weather, which was for dry cool weather with some sunshne. Matthew wokw up at 08:00 to have his medication and then got up around 09:30. We had toast and orange juice for breakfast. We got in the car and we set off around 12:00. We set off through Blurton and we ran along Beaconsfield Drive. We turned left onto Church Road and at the roundabout we veered left onto Blurton Road past the former Coral shop which is new going to be flats. We ran through Blurton and into Heron Cross and over the A50. At Heron Cross lights we turned left onto Grove Road. We ran forwards onto Wheildon Road and we picked up uncle Dave. Once we had picked up uncle Dave, we continued down Wheildon Road and we joined the Northbound A500. On the A500 we saw AJS Passenger Travel AJ54 BUZ, Rothwells RIB 4404 / FJ06 ZKU, Alpine ??23 ?? and grey minibus BP72 VFT. We joined the Northboumnd M6 and we headed up to juncction 20. Travelling up the M6 we saw Eavesway EV62 WAY, silver taxi minibus reg like SM13 KSV, Selwyns BV67 JXY(#540), Bakers Dolphin BD14 GLD, Little Mick's Knights HY67 FCG, Lochs and Glens SJ22 GZG, 33??? E400 ex first and white coach. We joined the Westbound M56 and we passed the site of a new McDonalds. We got onto the Northbound M53. We came off the M53 at junction 9 and we headed Westwards on the A5032. We turned left onto Cromwell Road and we followed the road to the right onto Wellington Road. We turned left onto Cambrdge Road and we went right onto McGarva Way. We turned right onto Grange Road and we parked up near to the Market. Once out of the car we saw grey minibus CX73 ZKW parked up.

We walked into the market and Matthew went to the toilet. We met up with mum and uncle Dave and Matthew had a breakfast washed down with a bottle of Coke. Once we had finished we said goodbye to mum and we walked out of the market. We walked along Wellington Road past the site of the old bus station where they have now built an office building. In the distance we saw Arriva NW&W 4640 on a #5 to Mold. We turned right onto Civic Way and we waited for a bus towards Chester. Whilst we waited we saw Stagecoach Merseyside 27901 on a #6 to Little Sutton.

A short time later we had 2 buses to choose from. The first bus was Stagecoach Merseyside 10882 on a #1 to Chester. As we were considering doing this another bus turned up. We saw it was Stagecoach 27777 on a #2 to Chester.

We got on the bus expecting to pay, but the ticket machine was broken and we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off onto of the bus station onto Wellington Road and we turned right onto Stanney Lane and we turned left onto the A5032 traveling Southwards. We turned right onto Overpoll Road and we weaved through the estate before we came out on the A41. We traveled South before turning right onto the A5116. We passed the Countess of Chester hospital and we ran into town passed the former Stagecoach bus depot which is now student accomodation. We continued and into town along Northgate. We crossed over the ring road on Northgate and we turned left onto Delamere Street. We continued down onto George Street and onto Gorse Stacks and into the bus station. Once in the bus station we got up and got off the bus. We saw Stagecoach Merseyside 15567 on a #84 to Crewe.

Matthew went to the toilet. Afterwards he went into the cafe and had a slice of Victoria sponge and a can of Coke. On layover in between service was M & H Coaches SK18 TKD.

We had already decided that we were going to do an Arriva bus. Whilst we chose what we were going to catch we saw Arriva NW&W 2665 on a #4 to Mold.

We crossed over the other side of the bus station to wait for a bus towards Wales. Whilst we waited we saw Stagecoach Merseyside 10573 on layover in between runs on the X1 to Liverpool.

We saw the arrive on the bus station. It went on layover for a short while and then came on stand. As it got closer we saw it was Arriva NW&W 4481 on a #11 to Holywell.

We got on and we bought Arriva Chester Plus Day Saver tickets before we went upstairs and sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Gorse Stacks and turned right into Foregate Street. We went past a new adult gaming centre which appears to being built by the old betting shop. We turned right onto Love Street. We continued onto Lower Bridge Street and we turned left onto Old Dee Bridge into Handbridge. We continued onto Overleigh Road and we crossed the A483. After we had passed the Sealand turning the traffic was better and we went over the dee towards Wrexham. We turned onto the A51054 and we went through Lache and up to Broughton via Saltney. After calling into the busy Broughton Shopping Park we continued onto Hawarden. We turned right and we headed a mile or so down the hill past the garden centre and into Queensferry. We crossed under the A494 and we turned left by Asda. A couple of stops towards Shotton. We passed the leisure centre. We got up and got off the bus and Matthew took a picture of Arriva NW&W 4481 as it continued towards Holywell.

Once off the bus we went to the petrol station. Matthew had a bottle of Irn Bru and some chocolate bars. We crossed over the road to the bus stop opposite. Matthew had his Galaxy Caramel and me and uncle Dave shared a Wispa Duo. We headed towards the centre of Shotton. We went under the railway line and we went into Wetherspoons. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards we had a drink of Coke. When we had finished we went outside and walked to the nearest bus stop. We saw Arriva NW&W 2685 on a #10 to Connah's Quay. Whist we waited for an Arriva bus we saw P & O Lloyd YJ68 FSC on a #1 Deeside Shuttle.

A short time later we saw a bus apporoaching. As it got closer we saw it was Arriva NW&W 3145 on a #10 to Chester.

We got on thebus and we placed the Arriva Chester Plus Day Saver tickets under the scanner before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off along the B5129 passed under the railway at Shotton and we continued to Quensferry. We turned left into Station Road and we followed the road around onto Wales Coast Path and we continued to Garden City. Where we got up and got off the bus. Matthew took another picture of Arriva NW&W 3145 as it carried on towards Chester.

We crossed over the road and we can see a double decker in the bus station in the distance. As it got closer we saw it was Arriva NW&W 4643 on a #10 to Connah's Quay.

We got on the bus and we placed the tickets under the scanner before we went upstairs and sat down. We set off the B5441 past a new housing estate. We carried on to into Queensferry. We crossed under the A494 and we turned left by Asda. A couple of stops towards Shotton. We continued into Wepre and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we saw grey minibus NK69 DYA. We walked past the site of a new Lidl and Costa Coffee. We crossed over the road and we waited for a bus back towards Chester. A short time later we saw a single decker approaching. As it got closer we saw it was Arriva NW&W 2685 on a #10A to Chester.

We set off along the B5129 out of Wepre and we passed under the railway at Shotton and we continued to Quensferry. We turned left into Station Road where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we walked along B5441 and we crossed over the road and onto the B5129. We walked to the stop near to the A494 roundabout and we waited for a bus towards Chester. We did not have to wait long before a bus appeared. As it got closer we saw it was Arriva NW&W 4540 on a #11 to Chester.

We got on the bus and we flashed the Group day Saver ticket to the driver before we sat down upstairs. We set off Southwards down the A550 and we passed under the A494. We ran up the hill into Hawarden and we turned left onto the B5125. We ran Eastwards towards BroughtonWe joined the A5104 and we entered the Bfrought Shopping Park onto the Eastbound A5104 and we passed through Salntey and into Lache. We entered England and Chester and at the big roundabout we turned left onto Grosvenor Road. We crossed over the River Dee and at the roundabout we ran forwards onto Nicholas Street. We ran arounf to the North end of town and we turned right onto Upper Northgate Street. We turned left onto Delamere Street and we followed the road around onto George Street and we ran forwards onto Gorse Stacks. We pulled in to the bus station and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we saw Stagecoach Merseyside 15585 on a #84 to Crewe.

We walked through the bus station and we saw Stagecoach Merseyside 26061 on a #16 to Saltney.

We headed to the car but Matthew needed the toilet so we dropped the bag off at the car and we crossed over Frodsham Street to the pub. Matthew used the toilet and afterwards we had a glass of Coke. When we had finished we returned to the car. Wwe set off along Gorse Stacks and we turned left onto Frodsham Street. Something didn't sound right on the car so we turned left onto the ring road. We turned right onto the A5116 and we ran forwards onto the A540. We ran to a garage and we put some air into one of the tyres. It appeare to take air reasonable well so we decided to return caustiously along the A540 back towards Chester. We turned left onto the ring road and we joined the A51. We ran out of the city the Piper's Ash amd we crossed over the A55 just East of Chester and we continued along the Eastbound A51. We turned right to bypass Tarvin and we continued Eastwards along the A51. We turned right and headed Southwards down the A49. We continued past the A51 junction and we turned left onto School Lane and we ran into Bunbury. We stopped in the villge and we went to the chip shop. Once Matthew got his sausage chips and gravy washed down with a bottle of Irn Bru. We ran forwards Vicareage Lane and we stopped at the pub. We went inside and Matthew used the toilet. Afterwards Matthew had a glass of Coke. When we had finished we headed back to the car and we saw grey minibus PL10 RYO parked up in the car park.

We got in the car and we set off along Vicarage Lane. We ran forwards onto Bowe's Gate Road and we ran through Gosland Green. We joined the A51 and we passed the site of a new Shell petrol station where work has statrted. We continued Nantwich by-pass and we ran around the North side of town and we joined the A500. We crossed under the M6 and we continued through Longport and Etruria into Stoke and we forgot to come off the A500 for uncle Dave. We joined the Eastbound A50 and we headed up to Heron Cross. We turned left onto Blurton Road and left onto Grove Road and we ran into Fenton. We dropped off uncle Dave on the main road and we ran up Wheildon Road and forwards onto Grove Road. We turned right onto Blurton Road and we crossed over the A50. We ran through Blurton and at the roundabout we veered right onto Church Street. We turned right onto the A5035 and back to Blurton. Later on we did some more of the Blog. We chilled out on the sofa until bedtime around 00:00... Mark

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going out on the bus. He was also going to a new leisure centre. It's a brand new inflatable park of it's kind in Wales and today was it's first day.. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to Belper he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to Queensferry and we saw Temple Street Church RX18 GZW.

Later on when it was time to go Matthew went downstairs to get on a bus. Transport for the journey to Queensferry was Shelton Care Group LT21 UVM. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto City Road and we ran down the hill onto the A52. We ran under the railway line towards Stoke. we crossed over the A500 before we turned right onto the Northbound carriageway. We ran North for a few miles and then we continued Westwards as we crossed under the M6. We continued along the A500 before we turned right onto the Northbound carriageway. At the end of the by-pass we turned right following the A51 for another 1/2 mile and we saw Arriva NW&W 4409 on a #84 to Crewe. We ran up to Tarven and we joined the Westbound A54. At the edge of Chester we crossed the Westbound A55. We ran to the end of the A494 and at the roundabout we ran through Queensferry and we saw saw Arriva NW&W 4549 on a #11M to Rhyl. We crossed under the B5129 and we stopped at the leisure centre. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards used the play equipment. Matthew visited the cafe and had sausage chips and gravy washed down with a glass of Coke followed by a cake. Afterwards Matthew went to use the inflatable park. When they had finished the session we went outside to the minibus. Transport for the returned journey was Shelton Care Group LT21 UVM. We got on the bus and we sat down and we set off the B5129 and we saw Arriva NW&W 4643 on a #10 to Wepre. We ran forwards onto the A494 at Garden City. We got onto the Eastbound M56. At junction 9 we joined the Southbound M6 and we ran down to junction 16. We went Southwards down the A500 and we ran down to the A527 and we continued into Sandyford past the sight of the new petrol station. We crossed over the top of Tunstall past the new Costa Coffee and we headed down the hill towards Fegg Hayes. We turned right onto Oxford Road and we ran forwards into Chell Heath. We passed Matthew's old school site which is going to be a new sheltered housing site. We ran through Bradeley to the traffic lights. We turned right and we ran up the hill through Smallthorne. At the top of the hill we turned left onto the A5272. We ran through Sneyd Green and we saw First Potteries 63103 on a #7A to Biddulph. We continued into Birches Head. We ran forwards onto Town Road and we joined the Clockwise ring road. We ran past the bus station and we turned left onto Lower Bethesda Street. We turned right onto Cleveland Road and we ran forwards onto College Road where we saw First Potteries 67157 on a #21 to Hanley. We turned left onto Station Road and we ran past the railway station. We ran forwards onto the A52 and we ran alkongside the railway line. We turned left onto City Road and right into Smithpool Road. We turned left onto Temple Street past the new building under construction and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs and Matthew chilled out in his room. He used his computer and watched buses out of the window. We saw First Potteries 65729 on a #11 to Newcastle. For tea Matthew had MacDonalds, which was a cheesebuger, fries and chicken nuggets washed down with a Coke. followed by a slice of cheesecake. In the evening Matthew went downstairs and we got in the car. We set off onto Temple Street We set of onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street and we crossed over City Road onto Manor Street. and at the end we turned left onto Victoria Road. We ran down the hill to joiners Squre and we went straight across the roundabout onto Lichfield Street. We joined the anti-clockwise ring road and we ran around to the the A50. We went North to Cobridge and we turned right onto the A53. In Sneyd Green we joined the A5272. We went through Smallthorne Roundabout and Northwards up High Lane up to Turnhurst. We turned right onto the A527 and we ran down to Fegg Hayes. We ran up the hill into Brindley Ford and we continued through Brown Lees to the Southern edge of Biddulph. We turned right onto St John's Road and we turned right at the roundabout onto Church Street. We stopped at the youth centre and Matthew went in. Matthew went to the toilet and spent the evening patying away. Matthew had several glasses of Coke. When it was time to go home he returned to Fenton. We got in the car and we set off onto Church Road and we turned right onto Mayfield Road. We turned left onto Woodland Street and right onto Park Lane. We turned left onto the A527 and we ran through Brown Lees and into Brindley Ford. We followed the road down to Fegg Hayes and we ran up the hill to Turnhurst. We turned left onto the A5272 and we ran along High Lane through Smallthorne Roundabouts. We continued into Sneyd Green and Birches Head and we ran into Hanley along Town Road. We ranaround the clockwise ring road and we turned left onto Lichfield Street. We ran down the hill to Joiners Square and we we straight up Victoria Road into Fenton. We turned right onto Manor Street and right onto City Road. We turned left onto Smithpool Road and left into Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went up to his room and chilled out on his computer. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.
