Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going out on the bus later. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to Newcastle. Later on we went downstairs and we set off onto City Road. We walked down to the bus stop outside the flats. We waited for a bus to Hanley. On the way we saw First Potteries 67145 on a #11 to Hanley. A short time later we saw the bus approaching. It was First Potteries 63177 on a #11 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre along Church Street. After a brief stop in Stoke we continued along church Street and forwards onto Hartshill Road. We ran up the hill and into Hartshill. We ran forwards onto George Street and we ran down the hill into Newcastle. We turned left at the roundabout onto Barracks Road and into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we had a walk around Newcastle. We waited for a bus towards Trentham. Whilst we waited we saw D&G Bus 763 on a #35 to Chesterton.

Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards we waited for a bus towards Kidsgrove. A few minutes later the bus appeared and it was First Potteries 47519 on a #38 to Kidsgrove.

We got on the bus and we booked to Talke Pits before sitting down towards the back of the bus. set of out of the bus station onto Barracks Road and at the roundabout we turned left onto Ryecroft. At the roundabout we turned right onto the Northbound A34. We ran Northwards past the bus garage and we ran through Milehouse. We ran Northwards to the McDonald roundabout and we turned left onto Wolstanton Road. At the roundabout we turned right onto Chesterton High Street. We turned right onto Crackley Bank and we ran through Crackley and Red Street. We crossed over the A500 and we veered left onto Talke High Street. We turned right somewhere and left onto Chester Road. We re-joined the road and we ran forwards onto Coalpit Hill. We ran forwards onto the A34 and up towards somewhere where we turned right onto the B5371. We turned right onto Mitchell Avenue and we turned left onto Lower Ash Road. We turned right onto First Avenue and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we walked around the corner onto the B5371 we walked onto the A50 and onto Heathcote Street and Matthew visited the toilet. As we walked through back across the A50 and we turned left onto Station Road and we went down the railway line at tunnel northern where we veered left onto the path that runs along side the steps and got onto the the Trent and Mersey canal and we walked around the corner onto the B5371 and we visited the church to look at the poppies. We set off along the B5371 and we turned left onto Liverpool Road and up to the bus stop. A short time later the bus appeared. It was First Potteries 63345 on a #38 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down. We set off along the A50. We ran up the hill into Goldenhill and then forwards through Sandyford past the new retail park into Tunstall. We ran down the High Street. We continued down the High Street and we ran past the former Co-operative bank. We turned left onto Williamson Street. At the roundabout we turned right onto Scotia Road and past the the old bus garage before running up the hill into Burslem Town centre. We ran through the light onto Waterloo Road and up the hill into Cobridge. We ran down the hill towards Hanley and then up into town along Hope Street and Stafford Street. We got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we walked along Stafford Street and we walked up Piccadilly into Tontine Square. We continued along Tontine Street. Once we had finished we went to the Intu Potteries shopping centre. after visiting shops in the shopping centre we walked down Tontine Square. We went into Stafford Street and forwards onto Lichfield Street and back to the bus station. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 63174 on a #38 to Kidsgrove.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station and onto John Street. At the bottom of the road we turned right onto Bethesda Street. We turned left onto Broad Street and then we joined the clockwise ring road. At the end we turned left onto Etruria Road before going under the A53 onto Festival Way. We ran past Waterworld and we turned left onto Forge Lane past a the Brindley Farm pub. We looped under the A53 and we joined the Westbound A53. We crossed over the A500 at Etruria and and we ran up the hill into Basford where we ran down hill to the edge of Newcastle and we got onto the one way system. At the jubilee roundabout we turned left onto Barracks Road before turning right into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. We decided to do a bus up to Thistleberry. We waited for a bus to appear. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 35948 on a #25 to Keele.

We got on and booked to Thistleberry before we went upstairs and we sat down. The bus set off out of the bus station onto Barracks Road we turned right onto Ryecroft. We veered left onto Merrial Street and after a brief stop we ran forwards onto Church Street. We crossed over the roundabout and we ran forwards onto the A525. We turned right into Orme Road and we saw St Giles And St George's academy MF68 AFJ. We continued along Orme Road before we re-joined the Westbound A525. We got up and got off the bus. A short time later we saw a bus approaching. It was First Potteries 35942 on a #25 to Hanley. We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down the A525. We went past the scrapyards which is going to be the site of some new houses. We turned left onto Orme Road. We ran through the estate and to the end of the road. We turned left onto the A525 and at the roundabout onto the Southbound A34. We ran down two roundabout and we went left onto Barracks Road. We entered the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. A few minutes later the bus appeared and it was D&G Bus 6003 on a #9 to Biddulph. We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station onto Barracks Road and we ran Southwards onto the A34. We turned left into the hospital and we ran through the the grounds. We turned right onto Hilton Road. At the roundabout we went left onto Newcastle lane and we ran up the hill into the centre of Penkhull. We turned left onto St Thomas Place and forwards onto Princes Street. We past the old school. on the left old North Staffs Royal Infirmary. At the end of the road we turned right onto the A52 and we ran down into Stoke. We passed through Church Street and the bus topped in the town centre. After a brief stop we continued over the A500 and we got up and got off the bus just before the railway bridge. Matthew took another picture of D&G Bus 6003 before it continued to Hanley.

A short time later we saw the bus approaching. As it closer we saw it was D&G Bus 6008 on a #1 to Meir. We got on the bus and we booked to Meir before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off up City Road and we ran past the site of the new Burger King and we went forwards onto King Street. We ran through Foley and we under the railway line into Longton Transport Interchange onto Baths Road and we ran forwards onto Market Street. We turned left onto Anchor Road and right onto Sutherland Road. We ran to the other end of the road and we turned left onto Weston Coyney Road. We ran up the hill past Matthew's old respite place and at the end we turned right onto the A520 and we turned left onto Brookwood Drive. We got up and got off the bus. We got in the car and we went along Brookwood Drive and we where work has started to build new flats. we turned left onto the A520 and passed the site of the new special school being built. We joined the Westbound A50 and we ran fast to the edge of Longton and we came off the A50 onto the end of Lightwood Road. We crossed over the A50 and we ran into Longton down The Strand and we turned left onto King Street. We ran through Foley into Fenton and forwards onto City Road. We turned left onto Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street. When we got back we returned to the residential unit. Matthew went back to the room and went on his computer. Later on Matthew went to Farmfoods Bucknall. Matthew went downstairs and we got in a car. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Smithpool Road. We turned left onto City Road and we ran down the hill into Stoke. We turned right onto the A52 and we ran past the railways station to Joiner Square. We ran to Bucknall and we turned right into the car park. Matthew did his weekly shop and afterwards got back in the car. We set off onto the A52 and we headed through Joiners Square and past the university. We ran past the railway station and we turned left onto City Road. We turned right onto Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street and afterwards Matthew went to the pub. We set off on foot along Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We crossed over City Road onto Manor Street and into the pub. It was someone's birthday and Matthew had some egg sandwiches and we sang Happy Birthday and blew out candles on a cake. Matthew had a glass of Coke and some birthday cake. When we had finished we returned to the residential unit. We walked along Manor Street and over City Road. We went forwards onto Christchurch Street and right onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs and chilled out in his room to use his computer and watch buses. Matthew also watched buses out of the window. Later on Matthew had a bath and had toast for supper. Matthew went on his computer until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew in the residential unit and was going out for tea, but first he was going out on the bus. Matthew woke up at 08:00 and had his medication. Matthew got up and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Matthew chilled out in his room until it was time to go out. We saw City Centre Central BF60 WCP parked up outside. In the morning Matthew went to get his shopping. We went downstairs ans we got in the car. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Smithpool Road. We turned left onto City Road and we turned right onto the road to the swimming baths. We turned left onto Victoria Road and we ran down to Aldi. After we had sone the shopping we got back in the car and we headed back to the residential unit. We turned right onto Victoria Road and right onto the road to the swimming baths. We turned left onto City Road and we turned right onto Smithpool Road. We turned left onto Temple Street and we returned to the residential unit. We went upstairs and we put the shopping away. Later on we went downstairs and we set off onto City Road. On the way to the bus stop. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 63360 on a #11X to Newcastle.

The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre along Church Street. After a brief stop in Stoke we continued along church Street and onto Hartshill Road and past the former pub where we are building a new convenience store. We ran up the hill and into Hartshill. We ran forwards onto George Street and we ran down the hill into Newcastle. We turned left at the roundabout onto Barracks Road and into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. We walked out of the bus station and we saw D&G Bus 763 on a #33 to Westlands.

We set off onto Hassell Street and we turned right onto High Street and we stopped at Cash Converters. We walked up High Street and we stopped at Subway and Matthew had a chicken Sub with a cup of Coke and a cookie. We crossed over and we walked across to the bowling alley and then Matthew had a few games of bowling. We walked back onto High Street and we walked onto Hassell Street. We continued down Castle Walk and we stopped Bristish Heart Foundation Home and Fashion and Matthew bought some boots. We walked down Castle walk and stopped at Cancer Research. We continued up Castle Walk and we went down to the bottom end of the bus station. A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 63349 on a #99 to Chell Heath. A few minutes later a bus appeared and it was First Potteries 63360 on a #11 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off onto Barracks Road and we ran up to the Jubilee roundabout. We ran onto the A53 and around the one-way system onto the A52. We ran up George Street into Hartshill and we ran down the hill into Stoke town centre. After a brief stop we continued along Church Street out of Stoke and over the A500. We ran under the railway line and we continued onto City Road. At the top of the hill we got up and got off the bus. We crossed over city Road and walked back to the residential unit. Matthew went back upstairs to chill out in his room and use his computer and watch buses out of the window. We went downstairs and we got in a car. We set of onto temple street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street. We turned right onto Station Bridge Road and we turned right onto Heron Street. We ran forwards onto Blurton Road and we turned left onto the Eastbound A50. We ran up to Meir and we turned left onto the A520. We turned right onto Woodville Road and we ran onto Meir Square. We continued onto Colclough Road and we parked up. We went into the village and Matthew had a can of Coke. Matthew went to the the toilet and afterwards we returned to Blurton. We set off along Colclough Road and we turned right onto Staunton Road. We turned left onto the A520 and we turned right to join the Westbound A50. We came off at Longton and we ran onto Roslyn Road. We turned left onto the A5035 and we ran through Dresden into Blurton around 15:12. Matthew chilled out on his computer and had a red velevet cheesecake and a can of Cherry Coke. We wrote the Blog and watch TV. Around 16:49 we got ready to return to the residential unit. We got in the car and we set off through Burton and we ran along Beaconsfield Drive where we saw silver minibus D11 SCX parked up. We turned left onto Church Street and left onto Blurton Road. We went through the traffic lights onto Heron Steeet. We carried on forwards onto Station Bridge Road we turned left onto Christchurch Street and we turned left onto Masterson Street and we saw Stafford & District Community Link LA72 DDU. We turned right onto Watkin Street and we continued onto Temple Street and we saw SAS Travel SA68 RZZ. We turned right onto Smithpool Road and left onto City Road. We ran down the hill and under the railway line into Stoke. We crossed over the A500. We turned left onto Church Street and we ran around the one-way system. We turned right onto Campbell Place and left onto Hartshill Road. We ran forwards onto George Street and we ran down the hill into Newcastle. We turned left at the roundabout onto Barracks Road and into the bus station. We continued onto the Southbound A34. We headed down to the Cherry Tree where we had tea. Matthew had a glass of Coke. Afterwards he had hunters chicken and fries followed by cheesecake and ice cream. Once we had finished eating we set off and we carried on along the A34 and we turned right onto Barracks Road. We turned left onto Ryecroft and we pulled up. We dropped out our friend and we continued along Ryecoft. We turned left onto Barracks Road and we ran past the bus station. We continued onto the Southbound A34 and we ran South as far as the hospital where we turned left. As we travelled through the hospital. We came out of the hospital and turned left onto Hilton Road. We ran into Hartshill and we turned right onto the A52 past the former pub which is now a new convenience shop. We ran down the hill into Stoke and onto the one-way system. We turned right onto Elenora Street and we followed the road around onto Copeland Street. We ran forwards onto Glebe Street and we followed the one way system onto Church Street. We crossed over the A500 onto City Road and we went under the railway line. We ran up the hill into Fenton and we turned right onto Smithpool Road. We turned left into Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew collected a few suypplies from the car and headed upstairs. He chilled out in his room and watched TV. He had a can of Cherry Coke. He watched television and used his computer. Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

We turned right onto the A5035 and we ran over the railway line into Trentham. We turned right Brough Lane and forwards The Lea. We turned right onto New Inn Lane and left onto Trentley Road. We turned left onto Allerton Road and right to rejoin the A34. We ran through Hanford and under the A500 into Trent Vale. We turned left London Road and we ran through Oak Hill past the former Oak Hill pub. We continued through the the West End before running into Stoke Town centre and Campbell Place. We continued around the one-way system onto Church Street. We turned right onto Shelton Old Road and we saw Travel Express SF20 BPU paeked up th the depot. We joined the Southbound A500. We ran up to the next junction we turned left onto City Road and right into Smithpool Road. We turned left onto Temple Street past the new building under construction and back to the residential unit. Matthew went back to the room and went on his computer. Matthew chilled out in hs room whilst getting ready. Once we were ready we went downstairs and out of the residential unit. We got in the car and we drove onto Temple Street. We turned right onto Christchurch Street and right onto Station Bridge Road. We followed the road around onto Heron Street and into Heron Cross. We went through the traffic lights and forwards onto Blurton Road. As we travelled through Blurton. We continued through Blurton and we turned right onto Church Street and right onto Beaconsfield Drive. We got home around 13:00. When we got home Matthew had ttoast and a small bottle of dandelion & burdock. We set off around 13:51 on foot to the bus stop all the way onto Magdalen Road. We turned right the A5035 and we saw D&G Bus 763 on a #27A to Bentilee.

We carried on onto the A5035 and we carried on along Stanley Matthews Way. We walked to the bus stop and we waited for a bus to Hanley. As we got closer we saw it was D&G Bus 6001 on a #24 to Norton.

We got on the bus and we booked to Stoke before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down Stanley Matthews Way past the BET365 Stadium. We joined the Westbound A50. We briefly got onto the Southbound A500 and we wheeled around over the A500 and past the Dunelm. We turned right onto Campbell Road. We ran into Stoke and we joined the one-way system before turning right onto Boothen Road. We turned left onto Church Street and into the centre of Stoke. After a brief stop we continued around the one-way system onto Elenora Steet and right onto Copeland street. We turned left onto Glebe Street and we went under the railway line before turning left onto Station Road. We went past the railway station and and turned right. We ran up Stoke Road and we turned right onto Avenue Road. At the roundabout we turned left onto College Road. After running the hill through Shelton we continued onto Cleveland Road and forwards onto Regent Road. We turned left onto Lower Bethesda Street and we crossed over the ring road onto Bethesda Street before we turned right onto John Street where we got up and got off the bus. when we got back to the bus stationwe decided to do a taxi. We called for a Lucky Seven taxi and we sat outside the bus station until kit arrived a few minutes later. We got in the taxi and we set off down Lichfield Street and over the ring road. We ran down to joiners Square and we went over the roundabout onto Victoria Road past Adsa and the B&M. We turned right onto Manor Street and we turned left onto City Road and we turned right Glebedale Road. We turned right Baker Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street. We ran to the end of the road and we got out. We walked around the corner onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to his room and chilled out in his room and use his computer and watch buses out of the window. We went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street. We turned left onto Smithpool Road. We crossed over the railway line and we walked down to the entrance of the park. In the park Matthew walked up to the playground. Once we had finished in the park we walked back along Grove Road. We crossed over the Whieldon Road and we turned left onto Smithpool Road. We turned right onto Masterson Street and we turned left onto Watkin Street. We continued onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs and Matthew went to his room. For tea Matthew had a jacket potato with tuna followed by cake. In the late evening Matthew went downstairs to spend time with the other residents ar cuppa club. Matthew had various biscuits as well as some rice crispy cakes washed down with a can of Dr Pepper. Later on Matthew went back upstairs and had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Once through the hospital we turned right onto the A34 and we ran into Newcastle. We crossed the roundabout and we ran up Barracks Road and into the bus station from the South end. Once we got to the bus station we got up and got off the bus. We waited for a bus towards Hanley. A short time later our bus appeared. Once we got to the bus station we got up and got off the bus. We waited for a back to Talke Pits. After a short while we saw D&G Bus 763 on a #94 to Congleton.

We turned left onto the ring road and left onto Lichfield Street and we turned right onto Birch Terrace. We followed the road around onto Charles Street and we turned right onto Old Hall Street. We crossed over the ring road onto Bucknall New Road. We ran down the hill through Limekiln lights. we turned right onto Dividy Road. We turned left onto Beverley Drive and right onto Dawlish Drive. We got up and got off. We walked down Dawlish Drive and we turned right onto Wellfield Road and we passed old school site which is going to be a new sheltered housing site. We ran to the end and we turned left onto Dawlish Drive. We got in a City Cabs taxi and we set off along onto Dawlish Drive. We turned left onto Beverley Drive and we turned right onto Malthouse Road. We turned right onto Wooliscroft Road and left onto Corneville Road. We turned right onto Ruxley Road and right onto the A52 and and we turned left onto Eaves Lane. We turned left onto Greasley Road and continued onto Greasley Road. Before we joined the A5009 and we ran past the Cemetery to Milton and we turned left onto Millrise Road and we ran forwards onto Maunders Road and we crossed over the old railway line. We turned right onto Newford Crescent and left onto the A53. We turned into the retail park. We headed through Cobridge and we ran past the site of the new Wrights Pies shop. At the lights we turned left onto Waterloo Road. We ran down to the ring Road and then we ran around Hanley before going onto Lichfield Street. We ran down to Joiners Square and we continued onto Victoria Road. We ran up to the top and we turned sharp right onto City Road. We ran down to Smithpool Road and we turned left. We turned left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs and chilled out in his room to use his computer and watch buses. Later on Matthew went downstairs. We set off onto City Road and we crossed over onto Manor Street for We stopped at the Fenton Community Hall and Matthew went to the toilet. Afterwards we had a drink of Coke. Matthew had a Steak pie and chips. After we had finished we returned to the residential unit. We walked along Manor Street and we crossed over City Road and we turned right onto onto Temple Street and we returned to the residential unit. We went upstairs and back into his room. Later on Matthew chilled out in his room. He watched television and used his computer. Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Today was the annual Wedgwood POPS rally, and we had been planning to come here for quite a while. Setting off around 10:20 we arrived on site to see Ex First PMT 860 depart on a Hanley bound service. First thing we do after getting a programme is to go shopping! Matthew brought £48 worth of DVD from Mrs Spencer and then brought some packs of photo's (10 for £5). He also brought the new First Fleet book and then checked to see if his favourite buses were still running or had been withdrawn. he brought another couple of books and then we had a wander round the non PMT bus exhibits. He had a quick sit on Bassetts SUX 476X and then we went to the PMT exhibits. As we were about to sit down and work out which buses we were going to catch, we saw ex First PMT Olympian 30035 move off. A quick consult of the program and it was seen to be doing the 11:30 to Hanley

So we all went around to the bus stop where 30035 was waiting. We went on the top deck near to the stairs. on the way up, Matthew tried to help himself to the antique 320 hanley - Crewe timetable until I told him not to do it. As we travelled down to Hanley via Blurton Road, the A50 link and Victoria Road, we passed ex first PMT 30039 coming the other way. We checked the programme to see if we could get 860 in later. It turns out that it did it's one and only turn early on and we missed it! The next bus due towards Hanley was down to be worked by "B35/B36". It was at this point that I wished i pad attention to the number in the bus windows! We made a snap decision to wait for the next bus and to let 30035 go back to Wedgwood without us. We has some food in Tony's cafe and then Matthew took some pictures in the bus station, at the bus station was 31519 between relief duties for Alton Towers.

After a few minutes, a maroon colour single decker appeared. It turned out to be Ex devon General 23.

Not sure if there was more than one bus scheduled for this run, I asked the driver if this was the only 12:30 to Wedgwood to which he replied "yes". So we did this bus, which was quite full. Matthew sat down with a total stranger and we had to persuade him to sit with mum by offering him a window seat. So we did this back to Wedgwood. I don't think was on Matthew's wish list but he enjoyed it anyway. This bus took the route via snow hill and then past the railway station. There was a Wardles ALX400 outside the station on football duties. The bus then went back via Leek Road, City Road, A50 and then A5035. At this point we had another look around whilst mum went shopping on her own for "future" events :-). We decide that we were going to do the 13:30 departs to stone for 801 back. The 13:30 was book for a Prince of the Road coach and two PMT Bristols. Matthew wanted to do the coach and uncle Dave wanted to do one of the Bristols. I persuaded Uncle Dave to do the coach as the Bristols are regular performers at the Rally. We went to see the buses turn in so we could get a photograph before we went around to the bus stop.

The coach was the first to set of and the Bristol followed straight behind. At the junction of the A5035 / A34 all three buses were together. The bus took the usual route to Stone, by passing the town and in through the south end of town.

At Stone there was a few minutes wait for the the rear Bristol to arrive as it must have been held up at some lights.

We let these buses go in order to wait for the 14:30 to Wedgwood which was booked to be Ex First PMT Optare Delta. It's a bus that we have been on twice before but Matthew is a big fan. Whilst waiting we saw the road go quiet. It was closed off for a few minutes in allow a band to march past the end. then First PMT 65039 turned up on the service bus to Hanley.After a few more minutes the red and yellow Delta appeared.

As we took the picture we heard someone say "an Olympian was following us down". Sure enough Ex first PMT 30039 turned up on an addition 14;00 from Wedgwood. We asked Matthew if he want the Delta or the new Olympian and he choose the Olympian.

We got and were able to get top deck front seats. The bus went back via the A520 to Rough Close and then via Lightwood and then joining the A5035 in Dresden. Whilst I took a picture of Matthew in the domed mirror, tree hit the front window and gave me a right scare! We we arrived back Matthew allowed the bus to empty and took a picture of the top deck.

After this we had a quick look around. 801 had already got back and was parked up back in it original spot. we returned to the car and then we decided to go home at a few minutes after 15:00. On the way back we put the match on the radio to find that Stoke were winning 2-0! Final score for the match was stoke 3 arsenal 1. bring on Man City next Saturday... (Mark)
