Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the day centre, we saw Temple Street Church minibus RX18 GZW. We went downstairs and got into car we set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto Baker Street and left onto Glebedale Road. We turned right onto City Road and we continued onto King Street. We ran through Foley and under the railway Bridge into Longton. We ran forwards onto Market Street and we turned left onto Anchor Road. We ran up the hill to Adderley Green and we saw First Potteries 35667 in the depot. We turned left onto the A5272 and we ran through Bentilee to Bucknall. We continued onto the A52 and at the traffic lights we turned right onto the Northbound A5009. we ran through Abbey Hulton and Milton into Badderly Green and we joined the A53 at Stockton Brook. We ran through Endon and continued Northwards to Longsdon. We ran up to Ladderedge and we ran down the hill into Leek. We ran up the hill into Leek town centre and we continued onto Ball Haye Street. We turned right onto the A53 and we ran Eastwards out of town. We ran through Blackshaw Moor and we climbed the hill through Winkhill. We ran over the top of the moor through Flash and we ran down into Buxton. Wwe stopped at McDonalds. Matthew had a burger and fries washed down with a cup of Coke. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards it was time to return to Newcastle. We got in the car and we set off onto Station Road. We ran forwards onto the A53 and we headed Westwards out of town. After passing the junction of the A54 we climbed up the hill and out of Derbyshire into Staffordshire. We ran through Flash and Winkhill and we ran down the hill into Blackshaw Moor. We continued into Leek and we ran past Lidl and the new KFC site and we turned left onto Ball Haye Street. We ran onto the A53 and we ran Southwards out of town. We climbed up the hill towards Ladderedge and we ran down the other side into Longsdon. We continued Southwards through Endon and we veered left onto the A5009. We ran through Milton and Abbey Hulton and into Bucknall. At Limekiln light we ran forwards onto the A52. We crossed over the roundabout at Joiners Square and we ran towards Stoke. We ran alongside the railway line and we turned left onto City Road. We ran up the hill in to Fenton and we turned right onto Smithpool Road. We turned left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs to his room to chill out and watch buses out of the window. He also ate the a can of Dr Pepper and a toffee Crisp. We went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto City Road. We stopped at the kebab shop and we brought burger and fries. When we brought the food we walked back down City Road and we turned left into Christchurch Street. We turned left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to his room to chill out and use the computer. For tea Matthew had burger and fries followed a couple of slices of syrup sponge puddinge. Later on we went downstairs and we set off onto City Road. We walked down to the bus stop outside the flats. We waited for a bus to Hanley. On the way we saw First Potteries 67152 on a #23 to Newstead.

We stood at the bus stop and we waited for a first but to Hanley. A short time later we saw the bus approaching. It was D&G Bus 6008 on a #1A to Wood Lane.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre. We continued along Church Street onto Hartshill Road and into the centre of Hartshill. We turned left into the Avenue and left again onto Hilton Road before turning right into the City General Hospital. Once through the hospital we turned right onto the A34 and we ran into Newcastle. We crossed the roundabout and we ran up Barracks Road and into the bus station from the South end. Once we got to the bus station we got up and got off the bus. We set off onto Hassell Street and we turned right onto High Street and we crossed over and we went to the cinema. Matthew had a cup of Coke. He went to the cinema to watch Now You See Me: Now You Don't. After the film Matthew went to the toilet. We walked out of the cinema onto the High Street and we got a Lucky Seven taxi back to Fenton. When we got in taxi. We set off onto High Street and we turned left onto Southbound A34 and we turned left onto The Avenue. Travelling up towards Hartshill. At the end we turned right onto Hartshill Road. We ran down to Stoke and onto the one way system. We turned right onto Elenora Street and we followed the road around onto Copeland Street and we turned left onto Glebe Street. We turned right onto Lytton Street and we ran through onto City Road. We ran under the railway bridge and we ran up the hill into Fenton. We turned right into Smithpool Road and we turned left onto Temple Street past the new building under construction and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs to his room to chill out and watch buses before going out later on. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre. After the film Matthew went to the toilet. We walked out of the cinema onto the High Street and we got a Lucky Seven taxi back to Fenton. When we got in taxi. We set off onto High Street and we turned left onto Southbound A34 and we turned right onto Newcastle Lane and we ran through Penkhull. Ee turned left into St Thomas Place and we ran forwards onto Honeywall. We ran into Stoke and we joined onto the one-way system. We turned left onto Liverpool Road and we veered right onto Elenora Street. We turned right onto Copeland Street and we turned left onto Glebe Street. We turned right onto Lytton Street and we ran through onto City Road. We ran under the railway bridge and we ran up the hill into Fenton. We turned right into Smithpool Road and we turned left onto Temple Street past the new building under construction and back to the residential unit. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

We ran forwards onto Spring Garden and we went forwards onto Fairfield Road. We ran Northwards out of town along the A6 and we turned right onto Waterswallos Road. We turned left onto Upper End Road and we ran through Upper End. We turned right onto Batham Gate Road and we ran forwards onto Smalldale Road. We ran through Smalldale and forwards onto Batham gate and at the end of the road we turned left. In Peak Forest we turned left onto the A623. We followed the road through Sparrowpit and we joined the Northbound A6. We turned left onto the B5470 and we ran into Chapel-en-le-Frith. We ran up to Morrisons and afterwards we turned left onto Hayfield Road. We crossed under the A6 and we continued into Chapel Milton. We continued along the A624 and we ran forwards onto the B6062. After going into the village we headed Eastwards through Hulme into Hartington. where we got up and got off the bus. We waited in the square for the next bus to Buxton. A short time later we saw High Peak 290 on a #442 to Buxton. We got on the bus and we flashed the High Peak day ticket to the driver before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off Westwards through Hulme and into Warslow. We turned around in the village and we headed North up Buxton Road into Lognor. We turned right onto the High Street and we headed Eastwards and into Crowdecote. We climbed the hill out of the village and we ran Eastwards a few miles before turning left and headed up to Earl Sterndale. We turned right onto the B5053 and we ran Northwards through Barlow's Bar. We ran up towards Harpurs Hill and we joined the Northbound A515. We ran into the centre of Buxton where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we waited for a bus to Glossop. We saw Majestic coach YN66 WTE running through town. A short time later the bus appeared. It was High Peak 692 on a #61 to Glossop. We got on the bus and we flashed the High Peak day ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set of from the Market Square onto the High Street and forwards onto Terrace Road. We turned left onto St John's Road. We turned right onto Manchester Road and we climbed the hill out of Buxton. Once we were out in the open we had a fast run up the hill until we reached Fernilee. We continued Northwards into Whaley Bridge and we ran Northwards out of town to join the Northbound A6. We ran Northwards up to Newtown and we turned right onto the A6015. We turned left onto Union Road and we ran up to the railway station. After a brief stop we ran down Union Road and we re-joined the Eastbound A6015. We continued through Birch Vale to Hayfield and we turned left onto Glossop Road. We ran Northwards through Little Hayfield and through Charlestown and Whitefield. We continued into the centre of Glossop and we turned left onto the A57. We ran around the Square and we stopped at the stops on Henry Street where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we saw High Peak 786 on a #394 to Stepping Hill. Matthew need the toilet so we walked through the market to the toilet block at the rear of the Market in the car park. We walked through the market and we crossed the Square onto Henry Street. We waited for a bus back to Buxton. A short time later we saw High Peak 525 on a #61 to Buxton. We got on the bus and we flashed the High Peak day ticlet to the driver for the last time today before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Henry Street onto Norfolk Square and we crossed the A57 onto the A624. We ran Southwards out of town through Whitefield and Charlestown. We continued through Little Hayfield and into Hayfield where we turned right onto the A6015. We ran through Birch Vale into New Mills. We turned right onto Union Road and we ran up to the railway station. We returned down Union Road and we turned right onto the A6015. We ran to the end of the road and we turned left onto the A6. We ran Southwards and we turned right onto Buxton Road. We ran through Whaley Bridge and Southwards into Taxal. We continued into Fernilee and we continued fast along the windy road to the edge of Buxton. We ran to the end of Manchester Road and we turned left onto St John's Road. We ran to the end and we turned righ onto the Southbound A6. We ran fast for a few miles before turned left onto the B6049. We ran near to Blackwell and we continued up to Miller's Dale. Just South of Tideswell we turned right onto a lane and we ran into Litton. We turned around in the village and we headed back to the main road. We turned right and we ran Northwards into Tideswell where we got up and got off the bus. Once of the bus we visited a shop. Matthew brought a bottle of Coke and a bar of chocolate. We waited for a bus back towards Buxton. A short time later we saw Stagecoach Yorkshire 36989 on a #65 to Buxton. We got on the bus and we flashed the High Peak day ticket to the driver before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off Southwards down the B6049 and we turned left onto the lane into Litton. After turning around we headed back to the B6049. We joined the Southbound B6049 and we ran through Miller's Dale and close to Blackwell. We turned right onto the Northbound A6 and we ran towards Buxton. We ran into the town centre and we turned right onto Station Road. We turned left onto the A515 and we stopped at the Market Square where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we looked for something else we could do before we went home. We saw High Peak 295 on a #442 to Ashbourne. We got on the bus and we flashed the High Peak day ticket to the driver before we sat down. The bus set off Southwards down the A515 and we turned right onto Harpur Hill. We ran forwards onto Barlow Road and we ran Southwards. We went though Barlow's Bar and we continued along the B5053. We turned left onto Dale View and we ran Southwards through Earl Sterndale. We continued South Eastwards and we turned right onto Tagg Lane. We ran down the hill into Crowdecote and we ran fordwards onto High Street and into Longnor. We turned right and we ran Southwards down Buxton Road to Warslow. After going into the village we headed Eastwards through Hulme into Hartington. where we got up and got off the bus. We waited in the square for the next bus to Buxton. A short time later we saw High Peak 291 on a #442 to Buxton. We got on the bus and we flashed the High Peak day ticket to the driver for the final time today before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off Westwards through Hulme and into Warslow. We turned around in the village and we headed North up Buxton Road into Lognor. We turned right onto the High Street and we headed Eastwards and into Crowdecote. We climbed the hill out of the village and we ran Eastwards a few miles before turning left and headed up to Earl Sterndale. We turned right onto the B5053 and we ran Northwards through Barlow's Bar. We ran up towards Harpurs Hill and we joined the Northbound A515. We ran into the centre of Buxton where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we walked along Spring Garden and back to the car park. We got in the car and we set off onto Station Road. We ran forwards onto the A53 and we headed Westwards out of town. After passing the junction of the A54 we climbed up the hill and out of Derbyshire into Staffordshire. We ran through Flash and Winkhill and we ran down the hill into Blackshaw Moor. We continued into Leek and we ran past Lidl and the new KFC site and we turned left onto Ball Haye Street. We ran onto the A53 and we ran Southwards out of town. We climbed up the hill towards Ladderedge and we ran down the other side into Longsdon. We continued Southwards through Endon and we veered left onto the A5009. We ran through Milton and Abbey Hulton and into Bucknall. At Limekiln light we ran forwards onto the A52. We crossed over the roundabout at Joiners Square and we ran towards Stoke. We ran alongside the railway line and we turned left onto City Road. We ran up the hill in to Fenton and we turned right onto Smithpool Road. We turned left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs and Matthew chilled out in his room for a while. Later on Matthew attended a new Years Eve party. We went downstairs and the main lounge was filled with food. Matthew ate egg sandwiches and a burger followed by lots of cake! He also drank a bottle of Coke. Matthew stayed up until after midnight in order to see in the new year. Happy New Year 2020! Matthew went upstairs and we to bed around 00:30... Mark.

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. A shuttle bus service will operate at frequent intervals between Mount Pleasant and Fenton run by Stanton's of Stoke. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. Across the road we saw Afford Rent-A-Car HN16 CMZ.

Around 09:00 we set off on bus to Buxton. It was Z Carz minibus YJ62 RCO. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto Baker Street and left again onto Glebedale Road. We turned right City Road and we joined the A50 link road. We joined the A50 and we went Eastwards past Blythe Bridge to Uttoxeter. We ran Northwards up the A515 through Ashbourne and up to Buxton. We ran into town and we stopped at Wetherspoons. For dinner Matthew had a burger and fries followed by chocolate fudge cake and ice cream washed down with a glass of Coke. Highlights of the bus sighting included High Peak 287 on a #442 service to Hartington and 693 on a TP service TM Travel 1178. Once we had finished eating we ran out of town and we saw 594 on a 190 to along the A53 and we continued Westwards into Leek and through town into Etruria. We joined the Southbound A500 and we came off the A500 at Stoke. We ran up into Fenton and we turned right into Smithpool Road. We turned left onto Temple Street and we returned to the residential unit. We went upstairs and We saw Intercity SF58 EXE going towards Longton.

A few minutes later we came to pick Matthew up to take him out for tea. we set off down to the car. We ran onto Chrsitchurch Street and up Baker Street and we turned left onto City Road. We ran down the hill under the railway line and over the A500 into Stoke town centre. We ran around the one-way system and we ran up Hartshill Road through Hartshill. We continued along the A52 to the edge of town and we turned right into Albert Street. At the traffic light we turned right onto A53 and we stopped at the pub. Matthew went to the toilet and then we found mum who had saved us a table. I ordered the food and Matthew had a glass of Coke whilst we waited. The food arrived and Matthew had a burger and fries. He also helped us eating the some of the meat and sausage on our mixed grills. Whilst we ate we saw First Potteries 65727 on a #4 to Audley. For dessert Matthew had Chocolate fudge cake and ice cream. Matthew went to the toilet again and then we left the pub and went to the car. We turned right onto the A53 and we went around the one-way system into Newcastle. We went past the bus station and then we went South down the A34. We ran through Trent Vale to Hanford and then we got onto the Northbound A500. We ran up to Sideway and then we went right onto the A50. We came off the A50 at Heron Cross and we ran through the lights onto Heron Street. We continued onto Station Bridge Road and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We turned left Temple Street and back to the residential unit. As we went back inside we saw Harry Shaw RJI 6155 going towards Longton. We went upstairs an back into Matthew''s room and we wrote some more of the Blog. We said goodbye to Matthew around 19:30 and Matthew chilled out in his room. Later on Matthew had a slice of New York Cheesecake. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was going to The motorway was busy this today due to bank holiday traffic, but not before he had been to his day service. Matthew got up around 08:00. He got dressed and had a giant crumpet and orange juice for breakfast. Just before 09:00 his transport to his day service turned up and it was Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX.

Due to one thing or another, and the recent poor weather, we have been unable to take Matthew out as often as we would have liked to. The weather today was quite good, so we decide to take Matthew out for a few trips out on local buses. The plan was to let Matthew catch the Copelands #16 to Leek and then work something out from there...


We got to Hanley bus station at around 13:40, about 20 minutes before the #16 was due. Matthew photographed the copelands bus whilst it was sitting at the bottom of the bus station. Matthew sat relatively good whilst we waited for the bus to come onto stand.


He also photographed a few other buses the best of which was 40022 sitting in the late afternoon sunshine. MIB 783 rolled up and we promptly boarded this bus for a brisk run up to Leek. At Leek we had around 30 Minutes to kill, Matthew sat good as gold and ate sausage sandwiches!


At a little after 15:00 the bus for Hanley turned up 65040. We did this to Hanley and another quick run, the afternoon sun was in our faces most of the way there! As expect, when Matthew got off the bus he wanted to go on another. he could have either travelled on the #23A to Blurton or the #25 Keele bus.


Whilst he was deciding which bus to take, he also photograped the Green D&G bus 118 that does the service #118 between Hanley and Buxton.


Matthew chose to do the #25 Keele bus as far as Stoke Station. This was the first time Matthew had been on one of these new buses since they arrived in the Potteries during the summer of 2009. We got off by the station where mum was waiting for us to drive us home...
