Trip to Hanley / Blurton 17-06-2025

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going out on the bus. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the Hanley and we saw Roseville BV60 BAA. We went downstairs and we and we cut through onto City Road to wait a bus to Hanley. At the Afford garage we saw Afford rent-a-car DT23 PJJ parked up.

We continued to the stop outside the flats and we saw Afford rent-a-car CF74 DHZ. A few minutes later the bus turned up and it was First Potteries 67159 on a #23 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we joined the A52 and ran under the railway line. After crossing over the A500 we ran into Stoke town centre along Church Street. We turned right onto Shelton Old Road and we saw Travel Express LK67 FWJ parked up th the depot. We ran forwards onto Stoke Road. We ran under the railway line and up through Shelton. We ran up Broad Street and we turned right onto the anti-clockwise ring road. We turned left onto Bethesda Street and right onto John Street. We climbed the hill and up into the bus station. We got up and got off the bus and Matthew visited the toilet. Once of the bus Matthew went to the toilet. A few minutes later the bus turned up and it was dud First Potteries 67152 on a #11 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle. we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We turned left onto the ring road and left onto Lichfield Street and we turned right onto Birch Terrace. We followed the road around onto Charles Street and we turned right onto Old Hall Street. We crossed over the ring road onto Bucknall New Road. We ran down the hill through Limekiln lights and we turned right onto Dividy Road. We turned left onto Beverley Drive and right onto Dawlish Drive. We ran through the estate and back onto the A5272. We ran up to Adderley Green. At the roundabout we turned right onto Anchor Road. system onto Commerce Street and right onto The Strand. After a brief stop we ran down the Strand and under the railway line onto King Street. We continued down through Fenton and forwards onto City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre along Church Street. After a brief stop in Stoke we continued along church Street and forwards onto Hartshill Road. We ran up the hill and into Hartshill. We ran forwards onto George Street and we ran down the hill into Newcastle. We turned left at the roundabout onto Barracks Road and into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we went down to the bottom end of the bus station and we waited for a bus towards Stoke. Once off the bus Matthew went to the toilet. We set off on foot up Hassell Street and we turned right onto High Street and we stopped at the McDonalds and Matthew went to the toilet. He had a chicken nuggets and fries washed down with a cup of Coke. Once we had finished we walked down High Street. When we had finished we set off onto High Street and we visited Primark. Matthew brought some clothes for his up and coming overnight trip. Afterwards we crossed over High Street. We continued onto. We turned right onto Ironmarket and past the former Malik's store which Titanic Brewers want to open up as a Bod. We turned right onto Castle Walk and into the bus station and we waited for a bus towards Hanley. A short time later a bus appeared and it was First Potteries 63362 on a #11 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off onto Barracks Road and we ran up to the Jubilee roundabout. We ran onto the A53 and around the one-way system onto the A52. We ran up George Street into Hartshill and we ran down the hill into Stoke town centre. After a brief stop we continued along Church Street out of Stoke and over the A500. We ran under the railway line and we continued onto City Road. We ran past the site of the new Burger King and we went forwards onto King Street. We ran through Foley and we under the railway line into Longton town centre. We stopped outside the old job centre as the #11 no longer calls in the Interchange. We ran up Market Street and we turned left onto Anchor Road. We ran up the hill to the top and ran down to the roundabout in Adderley Green. At the roundabout at the East end of Bentilee we turned right onto Beverley Drive and then left onto Dawlish Drive. We ran to the end and we turned left onto Beverley Drive. At the end we turned right onto Dividy Road and we ran down the hill to Bucknall. We turned left onto the A52 and we ran to limekiln lights and we went across onto Bucknall New Road. We climbed the hill up to Hanley and we joined the clockwise ring road. We turned right onto Bethesda Road and we turned right onto John Street. Once in the bus station we got up and got off the bus. Afterwards Matthew visited the shop and brought a flake. We waited for the next #23 back to Fenton. A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 67178 on a #8 to Ball Green. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67153 on a #23 to Newstead.

We got on the bus and we booked to Shelton before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus waited for time before setting off out of the bus station. We went down John Street and onto Bethesda Street. We turned left onto Broad Street. We ran down the hill and over the ring road onto Snow Hill Before we turned left onto Copeland Street. We continued forwards onto Glebe Street and we followed the road around onto Church Street. We crossed over the A500 and we ran under the railway line. After climbing up the hill into Fenton we turned right into Christchurch Street through the road works and at the end we turned right onto Station Bridge Road. We went forwards onto Heron Street and we went through the traffic lights at Heron Cross onto Blurton Road. After crossing over the A50 we continued along Blurton Road into Blurton and by Critclow's Corner we turned right onto Church Road. We turned right onto Beaconsfiled Drive and we ran through the estate and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we walked back to the bus stop. A couple of minutes later we saw the First Potteries. As expected it was First Potteries 67155 on the #23 to Hanley. We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Beaconsfield and at the end we turned left onto Church Road. At the mini roundabout we veered left onto Blurton Road and we ran down the hill into the valley. After crossing Longton Brook we ran up the hill into Heron Cross. We crossed over the A50 and we went through the traffice lights onto Heron Street. We followed the road around onto Station Bridge Road and and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto City Road and we got up and got off at the Travers Court bus stop outside the block of flats. Once off the bus we walked onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew upstairs and Matthew went to his room to chill out and watch buses out of the window. We went downstairs and we set off onto City Road and we crossed over onto Manor Street for We stopped at the Fenton Community Hall and Matthew went to the toilet. Afterwards we had a drink of Coke. Matthew had a burger and fries. After we had finished we returned to the residential unit. We walked along Manor Street and we crossed over City Road and we turned right onto onto Temple Street and we returned to the residential unit. We went upstairs and back into his room. Later on Matthew chilled out in his room. He watched television and used his computer. Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... We continued to the stop outside the flats and we saw Afford rent-a-car DT23 PFG. A few minutes later the bus turned up and it was First Potteries 67155 on a #23 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we joined the A52 and ran under the railway line. After crossing over the A500 we ran into Stoke town centre along Church Street. We followed the one-way system around onto Elenora Street and right onto Copeland Street. We turned left onto Glebe Street and we ran under the railway line before turning left onto Station Road. After stopping briefly outside the railway station we turned right onto College Road and We turned left onto Avenue Road and we turned right onto Snow Hill. We turned left and ran up Broad Street. We turned right onto the ring road and left onto Bethesda Street. We turned right onto John Street and we ran up to the bus station. Once in the bus station we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew went to the toilet. We left the bus station and we walked up LIchfield Street. We walked down Tontine Street and onto Tontine Square and we stopped at Greggs. Afterwards we walked back along Tontine Square to the Intu Potteries shopping centre. We had a walk around the shops and afterwards we walked through Tontine Square onto Tontine Street. We walked back down Lichfield Street and back to the bus station. A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 67173 on a #101 to Stafford.

A short time later the bus arrived on stand. We saw it was First Potteries 35944 on a #25 to Keele.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before We went upstairs we sat down. The bus set off out of the bus station onto John Street. We turned right onto Bethesda Street and left onto Broad Street. We ran down the hill and over the ring road onto Snow Hill Before we turned left onto Avenue Road. At the roundabout we turned right onto College Road. We ran down though Shelton along College Road and we passed the railway station and we continued forwards onto the A52. We followed the road to the right under the railway line. We crossed over the A500 we entering Stoke town centre. We continued along Church Street onto Hartshill Road and into the centre of Hartshill. We turned left into the Avenue and left again onto Hilton Road before turning right into the City General Hospital. Once through the hospital we turned right onto the A34 and we ran into Newcastle. We crossed the roundabout and we ran up Barracks Road and into the bus station from the South end. Once we got to the bus station we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we walked up Castle Walked and we went past the former Poundland. Afterwards we continued up Castle Walk and we turned right onto Ironmarket and past the old RBS bank which has now The Bank Space. We turned left onto Castle Walk and we turned left onto barracks Road and we veered left onto Stubbs Street and into the bus station. A few minutes later the bus appeared and it was First Potteries 63146 on a #4 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down near to the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station and onto Barracks Road. We crossed the Jubilee Roundabout and onto the A53. We ran into Basford and over the A500. We ran down into Etruria and over the A500. We continued along the A53 and we turned left onto Forge Lane. We ran out along the Lane and we crossed over the canal before we returned back into Etruria along festival Way. We crossed under the A53 onto Etruria Road. We turned right onto the ring road and we ran around anti-clockwise to Bethesda Street. We turned right onto John Street and we ran up the hill to the bus station. We got up and got off the bus and Matthew visited the toilet. In the bus station we saw First Potteries 67175 on a #7A to Biddulph. A few minutes later the bus appeared and it was First Potteries 67172 on a #6 to Coalville.

We got on the bus and we booked to Longton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We turned left onto the ring road and we turned right onto Lichfield Street and we ran down the hill to Joiners Square. We crossed the roundabout onto Victoria Road. City Road and we continued forwards onto King Street. We passed through Foley. We ran forwards into Longton and under the railway line into Longton town centre. The bus stopped on Market Street and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we crossed Market Street and walked up Transport Lane and crossed over The Strand and to the bus stop. We waited for a bus back towards Fenton. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 63362 on a #11 to Newcastle. We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down The Strand and we ran under the railway line onto King Street. We ran through Foley into Fenton and forwards onto City Road. We went past KFC. We got up and got off the bus. We walked down City Road and we turned right onto onto Glebedale Road and we walked along Baker Street. We turned right onto Christchurch Street. We returned onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. When Matthew got back we went upstairs and went up to his room to chill out and use the computer. Matthew also watched buses out of the window. We went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street. We turned left onto Smithpool Road. We crossed over the railway line and we walked down to the entrance of the park. In the park Matthew walked up to the playground. Once we had finished in the park we walked back along Smithpool Road. We turned right onto Alma Street and we turned right onto Watkin Street. We turned left onto Marlborough Street and we turned left onto Clifton Street. We turned left onto Christchurch Street and we turned left onto Temple Street past the Queen Elizabeth II Court. We continued back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs and back to his room to chill out. For tea Matthew had Spaghetti and Tomato Sauce followed by a Vienetta. Matthew spent time in his room watching television and using his computer. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00...
