Trip to Newcastle / Hanley 08-03-2023

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going out on the bus. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to Belper he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to Belper and we saw First Potteries 67148 on a #11 to Hanley. After tea Matthew went for a walk to Aldi to get some shopping. We set off onto City Road and we crossed over and onto Manor Street. At the end of manor Street we turned left onto Victoria Road and we went down the hill to Aldi. Matthew brought his shopping and then we got a lucky Seven taxi back to the residential unit. We set off onto Victoria Road. We ran down the hill to Joiners Square and we ran across the roundabout onto Lichfield Street and we joined the anti-clockwise ring road. We turned right onto Waterloo Road and we ran through Cobridge. We continued through to Burslem onto Scotia Road and forwards onto the Tunstall by-pass. We ran past the police station onto the top end of Tunstall High Street. We continued through Goldenhill and down the hill to Kidsgrove. We continued under the railway line and over the A34. We followed the A50 to the right and we ran Northwards to Arclid. We turned right onto the A534 and we ran forwards into Congleton town centre. we stopped at the pub and Matthew went to the toilet. For dinner Matthew had a Fried buttermilk chicken burger with fries followed by cheesecake. When it was time to go back we set off Westwards out of town and onto the A34. We turned around and went back into town and we joined the Southbound A527. We travelled back down the road around Biddulph and through Brindley Ford. We ran up the hill to Chell and we turned left onto High Lane. We ran into through Smallthorne and we saw Copeland's Tours MIB 797. We ran through Sneyd Green and Birches Head. We followed the road to the left down the hill through Northwood and onto Limekiln Bank. We joined the A52 and we ran to Joiners square where we turned left onto Victoria Road. and we ran up to the top of the hill. We turned sharp right onto City Road and we ran down to Smithpool Road. We turned left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to his room. Matthew went into the living room and we saw grey minibus DU21 BUE. Later on we went downstairs and we set off onto City Road and we saw Afford rent-a-car BG72 UEU outside there yard. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67149 on a #11 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre along Church Street. After a brief stop in Stoke we continued along church Street and forwards onto Hartshill Road. We ran up the hill and into Hartshill. We ran forwards onto George Street and we ran down the hill into Newcastle. We turned left at the roundabout onto Barracks Road and into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew got a picture of First Potteries 67149 before it returned towards Hanley on a #11 service.

A few minutes later a bus appeared and it was First Potteries 35945 on a #25 to Hanley. We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we went upstairs. When it was time to go the bus set off out of the bus station and onto Barracks Road. We turned left at the roundabout onto the A34. we ran South as far as the hospital where we turned left. As we travelled through the hospital. We came out of the hospital and turned left onto Hilton Road. We ran into Hartshill and we turned right onto the A52. We ran down the hill into Stoke town centre and along Church Street. After a brief stop we continued along the A52, over the A500 and under the railway line. We followed the A52 to the left and we ran alongside the railway and onto Station Road. We passed the railway station and we turned right onto Stoke Road and we turned right onto Avenue Road. At the roundabout we turned left onto College Road. We ran up the hill through Shelton and we followed the road to the right onto Cleveland Road and we saw D&G Bus 194. We turned left onto Lower Bethesda Street and we crossed over the ring road, continuing onto Bethesda Street. We turned right onto John Street and into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Matthew took a picture of First Potteries 35945 before it continued towards Keele.

A few minutes later our bus appeared and it was dud First Potteries 65031 on a #6 to Coalville.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We turned left onto the ring road and we turned right onto Lichfield Street and we ran down the hill to Joiners Square. We crossed the roundabout onto Victoria Road and we ran up the hill into Fenton. At the top of the hill we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we set off on foot on the road at the back of Victoria Road. We turned left onto Manor Street. We crossed over City Road and we went back to the residential unit. Matthew went to his room to chill out and use his computer. He also watched buses out of the window. For a late tea Matthew had pizza and chips followed by angel cake and custard. We went downstairs to the taxi and we set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street. We turned right onto Station Bridge Road. We followed the road around onto Heron Street. At Heron Cross we went Eastwards along the A50. We joined the Eastbound A50 and we ran through Longton. We continued along the A50 through Blythe Bridge and Draycott. We turned right onto Cresswell Lane and to our destination. In the Sports Centre Matthew played football with his peers. After Matthew had finished we returned to Fenton on in a intercity taxi. We walked out of the entrance and we got in the taxi we set off along Cresswell Lane. We turned left onto the A50 and and Blythe Bridge. We ran down to Heron Cross and we came off the A50. We ran along Heron Street and forwards onto Station Bridge Road. We ran forwards onto Glebedale Road. once we got back we returned to the residential unit. We walked onto Christchurch Street and down Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went up to his room and chilled out on his computer. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going out on the bus. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the day centre, we saw First Potteries 67159 on a #23 to Hanley. Later on Matthew was going out. We went downstairs and out of the residential unit. We set off onto onto Temple Street. We turned left onto Christchurch Street and we crossed over City Road onto Manor Street. We turned left onto Victoria Road. We turned left into Aldi and Matthew went into the shop to do some shoppping. Once Matthew had finished shopping we returned to the residential unit in Autocabs taxi. We set off up Victoria Road and we turned right onto the private road up the the and we saw Copeland's Tours MIB 797 outside the baths. We came out of the other side and we turned left onto City Road. We turned right onto Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs and Matthew went to his room to chill out. He used his computer and watched buses out of the window. Later on we went downstairs and we set off onto City Road and we saw Afford rent-a-car LV70 UBX outside there yard. We waited for a bus to Hanley. A short time later we saw a bus turn around the corner. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67154 on a #23 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off down City Road and we joined the A52 to go under the railway line and over the A500. We continued onto Church Street. and into the centre of Stoke. After a brief stop we continued around the one-way system onto Elenora Steet and right onto Copeland street. We turned left onto Glebe Street and we went under the railway line before turning left onto Station Road. We went past the railway station and due to roadworks we ran to the end of Station Road and turned right. We ran up Stoke Road and we turned right onto Avenue Road. At the roundabout we turned left onto College Road. After running the hill through Shelton we continued onto Cleveland Road and forwards onto Regent Road. We turned left onto Lower Bethesda Street and we crossed over the ring road onto Bethesda Street before we turned right onto John Street bus station where we saw First Potteries 67177 on a #21 to Trentham. We got up and got off and we walked up Lichfield Street. We continued onto Tontine Street and onto Parliament Row. We stopped at Boots. We brought some more shopping and we continued down towards the bottom of Tontine Street. We continued forwards onto Tontine Square and we sat down on a bench and Matthew had his chicken sandwich and a bottle of Coke. We set off onto Trinity Street and we went forwards onto Lichfield Street and back to the bus station. We waited for a bus towards Fenton. A short time later we saw First Potteries 67178 on a #6 to Blythe Bridge.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We turned left onto the ring road and we turned right onto Lichfield Street and we ran down the hill to Joiners Square. We crossed the roundabout onto Victoria Road and we ran up the hill into Fenton. Near to Subway we got up and got off the bus. We walked up Victoria Road and right onto the private road up the the and we saw Copeland's Tours MIB 783 outside the baths. We came out of the other side and we turned left onto City Road. We turned right onto Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs and Matthew went to his room to chill out. He used his computer and watched buses out of the window and we saw First Potteries 67176 on a #11 to Newcastle. Later on we went out on the bus to Newcastle. We went downstairs and we set off onto City Road. We walked down to the bus stop outside the flats. A few minutes later we saw the bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was D&G Bus 113 on a #1A to Wood Lane.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre. We continued along Church Street onto Hartshill Road and into the centre of Hartshill. We turned left into the Avenue and left again onto Hilton Road before turning right into the City General Hospital. As we travelled through the hospital we saw Travel Express BG61 KTK and ABC Supreme HV22 HKK. Once through the hospital we turned right onto the A34 and we ran into Newcastle. We crossed the roundabout and we ran up Barracks Road and into the bus station from the South end. Once we got to the bus station we got up and got off the bus. We waited for a bus towards Biddulph. Whilst we waited we saw First Potteries 67172 on a #72 to Westbury Park. A short time later our bus appeared. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 63175 on a #4 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down near to the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station and onto Barracks Road. We crossed the Jubilee Roundabout and onto the A53. We ran into Basford and over the A500. We ran down into Etruria and over the A500. We continued along the A53 and we turned left onto Forge Lane. We ran out along the Lane and we crossed over the canal before we returned back into Etruria along festival Way. We crossed under the A53 onto Etruria Road. We got up and got off the bus by the Cherry Tree. Once off the bus we headed up the hill towards Tesco. Once we had finished in Tesco we cut through onto Broad Street and we walked down to Warner Street. We walked between the 2 Smithfield Building onto Bethesda Street and we walked up Albion Street past the town hall and onto Old Hall Street. We turned left onto Tontine Street. We walked through Tontine Square and onto Parliament Row. We stopped at Poundland and Matthew brought a bottle of Coke. We walked along Parliament Row and we continued into the Intu Potteries shopping centre. We went through the shopping centre. Afterwards we came back down and went to Primark. We came out of the shopping centre and we walked back along Tontine Square towards TK Maxx. We cam out of the bottom of TK Maxx onto Tontine Square and we came out on Tontine Street ans forwards onto Lichfield Street. We continued into the bus station. We saw First Potteries 44515 on a #7 to Kidsgrove. A short time later we saw First Potteries 67158 on a #11 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We turned left onto the ring road and left onto Lichfield Street and we turned right onto Birch Terrace. We followed the road around onto Charles Street and we turned right onto Old Hall Street. We crossed over the ring road onto Bucknall New Road. We ran down the hill through Limekiln lights. As we travelled up we saw D&G Bus 781 on a #16 to Hanley. We turned right onto Dividy Road and we saw . We turned left onto Beverley Drive and right onto Dawlish Drive. We ran through the estate and back onto the A5272. We ran up to Adderley Green. At the roundabout we turned right onto Anchor Road. system onto Commerce Street and right onto The Strand. After a brief stop we ran down the Strand and under the railway line onto King Street. We continued down through Fenton and forwards onto City Road. We went past KFC and we got up and got off at the Travers Court bus stop outside the block of flats. Once off the bus we walked onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went up to his room to use his computer and watch buses. For tea Matthew had ham sandwich followed by a jam filled sponge. Later on we went downstairs and we went in a Lucky Seven taxi. We got in the taxi and we set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Smithpool Road. We turned right onto City Road and we ran up onto King Street we passed the site of the new Burger King being built. We turned right onto the A50 link road and we joined the Eastbound A50 and we ran through Longton. We continued along the A50 through Blythe Bridge and Draycott. We turned right onto Cresswell Lane and to our destination. In the Sports Centre Matthew played football with his peers. After Matthew had finished we returned to Fenton on in a intercity taxi. Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going out on the bus. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the dentist and we saw First Potteries 67156 on a #23 to Hanley. We went downstairs and we and we cut through onto City Road to wait a bus to Stoke. At the Afford garage we saw Afford rent-a-car YS21 JWD parked up.

We continued to the bus stop and we waited for a bus towards Stoke. A few minutes later we saw a stoke bound bus approaching. As it got closer we saw that it was D&G Bus 44 on a #1 to Wood Lane. We got on the bus and we booked to Stoke before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre along Church Street where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we walked towards the Newcastle stop. As we headed to the stop we saw D&G Bus 21 on a #9 to Westbury Park. We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. After a brief stop in Stoke we set off along church Street and forwards onto Hartshill Road. We turned left onto Princes Road past the old school. Part of site was demolished to make more car parking spaces. We ran into Penkhull village. We onto Newcastle Lane and we turned right onto Hilton Road. We turned into the hospital and as we travelled through the hospital we saw ERS Medical YJ21 FVZ, First Potterires 32650 on a #25 to Hanley and ABC Supreme YA67 VBB. We turned right onto the A34 and we ran into Newcastle. We crossed the roundabout and we ran up Barracks Road and into the bus station from the South end. Once we got to the bus station we got up and got off the bus. Once we got off the bus. We walked out of the bus station onto Castle Walk and we visited Poundland. Matthew brought a can of Coke. We continued along Castle Walk. We turned left onto Ironmarket and we stopped at the bank at the end. We turned left onto High Street and we stopped at McDonalds. Matthew had a burger and fries washed down with a cup of Coke. Once we had finished we walked down High Street and we turned left into Hassell Street. We returned to the bus station and we waited for a bus to Hanley. After a short while we saw First Potteries 65028 on a #101 to Hanley. We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station onto barracks Road and we ran up to the Jubilee Roundabout. We joined the one-way system and we ran onto the A52. We continued up to the top of George Street and we veered left onto the B5045. We went through the traffic light onto Shelton New Road. We crossed over the A500 and we ran up to Snow Hill. We ran up Broad Street and we turned right onto the anti-clockwise ring road. We turned left onto Bethesda Street and right onto John Street. We climbed the hill and up into the bus station. We got up and got off the bus and Matthew visited the toilet. We waited for the bus to Longton and a short time later we saw First Potteries 65732 on a #6A to Blythe Bridge. We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We turned left onto the ring road and we turned right onto Lichfield Street and we ran down the hill to Joiners Square. We crossed the roundabout onto Victoria Road to the stop we saw Stanton's of Stoke FJ66 CYC. We got off and crossed the road to walk up to Aldi and Matthew went into the shop to do some shoppping. Once Matthew had finished shopping we returned to the residential unit in Autocabs taxi. We set off up Victoria Road and we turned onto Manor Street. We turned right onto City Road and left onto Smithpool Road. We turned left onto Temple Street past the Queen Elizabeth II Court and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs and Matthew chilled out in his room. Matthew went into the living room and we saw grey minibus DU21 BUE.

Before tea Matthew went out to do some shopping. We went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We picked a few things up at the Co-operative food and we turned left Temple Street We walked back to the residential unit. we went upstairs to his room to chill out and watch buses out of the window. For tea Matthew had lasagne and chips with garlic bread followed by a cheesecake. Matthew took some batteries and We went downstairs to Meir to go out to see the centre in Draycott in an intercity taxi. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street.
