Trip to Hanley / Newcastle 25-09-2023

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going out on the bus later. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the day centre, we saw Copeland's Tours MIB 394. Later on we went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street. In the distance we saw Shelton Care Group YS70 KWG. We carried on along Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We waited for a bus towards Hanley. A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 67154 on a #23 to Newstead. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67150 on a #23 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Christchurch Street. We turned left onto City Road. and we joined the A52 to go under the railway line and over the A500. We continued onto Church Street and into the centre of Stoke. After a brief stop we continued around the one-way system onto Elenora Steet and right onto Copeland street. We turned left onto Glebe Street and we went under the railway line before turning left onto Station Road. We went past the railway station and and turned right. We ran up Stoke Road and we turned right onto Avenue Road. At the roundabout we turned left onto College Road. After running the hill through Shelton we continued onto Cleveland Road and forwards onto Regent Road. We turned left onto Lower Bethesda Street and we crossed over the ring road onto Bethesda Street before we turned right onto John Street where we got up and got off the bus. At the bus station Matthew used the toilet. Once off the bus we decided that if we were going to go to Bentilee on the bus we would have to do it almost immediately and not got up to the car park to take bus pictures. At the top end of the bus station we saw First Potteries 63103 on a #4A to Talke Pits. Another vehicle seen we saw First Potteries 67141 on a #7A to Biddulph. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67147 on a #11 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we booked to Bentilee before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We turned left onto the ring road and left onto Lichfield Street and we turned right onto Birch Terrace. We followed the road around onto Charles Street and we turned right onto Old Hall Street. We crossed over the ring road onto Bucknall New Road. We ran down the hill through Limekiln lights and we saw First Potteries 35937 running out of Service. We turned right onto Dividy Road and we turned left onto Beverley Drive. We got up and got off the bus. Beverley Drive After picking some chips up from the chip shop we walked Beverley Drive and right onto Dawlish Drive and we stopped at one of the house and Matthew had a glass of Coke. We continued along Dawlish Drive and we saw Jayjays Travel WX07 DJV. We got in a City Cabs taxi and we set off along onto Dawlish Drive. We turned left onto Beverley Drive and we turned right onto Malthouse Road. We turned right onto Wooliscroft Road and left onto Corneville Road. We turned right onto Ruxley Road and right onto the A52 and and we turned left onto Eaves Lane. We turned left onto Greasley Road and continued onto Greasley Road. Before we joined the A5009 and we ran past the Cemetery to Milton and we turned left onto Millrise Road and we ran forwards onto Maunders Road and we crossed over the old railway line. We turned right onto Newford Crescent and left onto the A53. We turned into the retail park. We headed through Cobridge and we ran past the site of the new Wrights Pies shop. At the lights we turned left onto Waterloo Road. We ran down to the ring Road and then we ran around Hanley before going onto Lichfield Street. We ran down to Joiners Square and we continued onto Victoria Road. We ran up to the top and we turned sharp right onto City Road. We ran down to Smithpool Road and we turned left. We turned left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs and chilled out in his room to use his computer and watch buses. We saw City Centre Central FE15 UAD going towards Stoke. We came to pick Matthew up to take him out for tea. After get ready we went downstairs to the car. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Smithpool Road. We turned left onto City Road and we headed down the road into Stoke. We ran under the railway line and we crossed the A500. We ran forwards onto Church Street and we ran around Stoke town centre on the one-way system. We turned left onto Lonsdale Street and we turned right onto Flemming Road. We turned right onto Campbell Place and we ran forwards onto Church Street. We ran forwards onto Hartshill Road and we went up the hill through Hartshill. We ran forwards onto George Street. We ran forwards onto George Street and we ran down the hill into Newcastle. We turned left at the roundabout onto Barracks Road. We went under the subway onto Queens Gardens and we walked up to the pub. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards we found a table. For tea Matthew had a chicken burger and chips washed down with a glass of Coke. Later on a had a slice of chocolate fudge cake with ice cream. After we walked back through the gardens. and right onto Barracks Road. Matthew went to the toilet. We continued onwards to the bus station and we saw First Potteries 63358 on a #101 to Hanley.

We walked onto the Barracks Road in a car park off Hassell Street. Matthew got in the car. We set off up Barracks Road onto the oined the A519 and we turned left onto Clayton Lane and we turned right onto the Northbound A519. We turned left onto Abbots Way and we stopped to dropp off a friend. We returned onto Abbots Way and we turned left onto the A519 and we ran down to Newcastle. We ran forwards onto Barracks Road and past the bus station. At the roundabout we turned right onto the A52 and we ran into Hartshill. At the end we turned right onto Hartshill Road. We ran down to Stoke and onto the one way system. We turned right onto Elenora Street and we followed the road around onto Copeland Street. We ran forwards onto Glebe Street and we followed the one way system onto Church Street. We crossed over the A500 onto City Road and we went under the railway line. We ran up the hill into Fenton and we turned right onto Smithpool Road. We turned left into Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew collected a few suypplies from the car and headed upstairs. He chilled out in his room and watched TV. He had a can of Cherry Coke. He watched television and used his computer. Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going out on the bus. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to Belper he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to Belper and we saw Stanton's of Stoke DRZ 404. After tea Matthew went for a walk to Aldi to get some shopping and we went downstairs and we set off. We walked onto City Road and we crossed over and onto Manor Street. At the end of manor Street we turned left onto Victoria Road and we went down the hill to Aldi. Matthew brought his shopping and then we got a lucky Seven taxi to Biddulph. We set off onto Victoria Road. We ran down the hill to Joiners Square and across the roundabout onto Lichfield Street. We joined the anti-clockwise ring road. We joined town road and we crossed over the ring-road and headed out of town towards Birches Head. We joinmed the A5272 and we travelled Northwards through Sneyd Green up to Smallthorne roundabouts and High Lane where we saw City Centre Central FE15 UAD. We ran forwards into Chell. At the end of High Lane the end we turned left onto the A527 and we ran up through Fegg Hayes and Brindley Ford. We went around the outskirts of Biddulph and we turned left onto Wharf Road. We parked up near to Wharf Road and set off. We walked around the corner around onto the High Street and we went into the pub. Matthew went to the toilet and then had a glass of Coke. For tea Matthew had Southern fried chicken strips with chips followed by chocolate fudge cake with ice cream. Once we had finished we walked down the road to Sainsbury's where Matthew brought a Panda mask. When we had finished we got in the car and we set off onto the the A527 and around Biddulph before going South through Knypersley and Brindley Ford. At Turnhurst we went left onto the A5272 High Lane. We ran through Smallthorne and we saw . We ran through Sneyd Green to Birches Head where we saw First Potteries 67640 on a #7 to Kidsgrove. We ran forwards onto Town Road and we joined the clockwise ring Road and we ran around Hanley. We turned left onto LIchfield Street and we ran down to Joiners Square. At the roundabout we turned right onto the A52 and we ran towards Stoke railway station. We ran alongside the railway line and we turne left onto City Road. We turned right onto Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs to his room to chill out and watch buses before going out later on. We saw Travel Express BG61 HSY.

Before tea We went downstairs out for a walk to fetch his tea. we set off onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Smithpool Road. We ordered sausages and chips gravy and then we walked back along Smithpool Road and onto and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs and Matthew went to his room to chill out. Matthew went into the living room to have tea. Matthew ate his sausages and chips gravy followed by a Butterfly cake. We went downstairs and we and we cut through onto City Road to wait a bus to Hanley. At the Afford garage we saw Afford rent-a-car RE21 ENH parked up.

We stood at the bus stop outside the flats and we waited for a bus to Newcastle. Whilst we waited we saw D&G Bus 157 on a E1 to Hanley. A short time later we saw First Potteries 65728 on a #11 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre along Church Street. After a brief stop in Stoke we continued along church Street and forwards onto Hartshill Road. We ran up the hill and into Hartshill and in the petrol station. We ran forwards onto George Street and we ran down the hill into Newcastle. We turned left at the roundabout onto Barracks Road and into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. We set off onto Hassell Street and we turned right onto High Street and we past old Edinburgh Woollen Mill which moved to the new food outlets. We turned left into Church Street and we turned left onto the Southbound A34 and we went under the subway on to the A34. We turned left onto the A525 and we turned right onto Stanier Street. When we got into the building Matthew went to the toilet. Afterwards Matthew went outside and went on the slide. When we had finished we said goodbye and we returned to Fenton in a bus. We set off onto Stanier Street and we turned right onto the A525. We turned left onto Blackfriars Road and we turned left onto the A53. We turned right onto the Southbound A34 and we went under the subway and we walked up Stubbs street and into the bus station. We saw First Potteries 65028 on a #25 to Keele.

We waited for a bus back to Hanley. A short time later we saw First Potteries 63112 on a #25 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off out of the bus station onto barracks Road and we ran down onto the Southbound A34. We turned left into the hospital and we ran through the grounds and onto Hilton Road. We continued onto Albany Road and we turned right onto The Avenue. At the end of the road we turned right onto the A52 and we ran through Hartshill and down the hill into Stoke town centre. We went forwards onto Church Street and the bus topped in the town centre. After a brief stop we continued over the A500 and we got up and got off the bus just before the railway bridge. We walked up City Road and we cut across onto Temple Street and into the residential unit. Matthew went up to his room to chill out on his computer and watch music videos on his television. later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the dentist and we saw First Potteries 67157 on a #11 to Newcastle. We went downstairs and we and we cut through onto City Road to wait a bus to Stoke. We continued to the bus stop and we waited for a bus towards Stoke. A short time later we saw First Potteries 63034 on a #11 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. A short time later we saw First Potteries 63178 on a #22 to Longton. A short time later our bus appeared. As it got closer we saw it was D&G Bus 101 on a #94 to Congleton.

We got on the bus and we booked to Longport. we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station and onto Barracks Road. We crossed the Jubilee roundabout onto the A527. We turned left onto Wulstan Drive and we turned right onto the Hempstalls Lane. We continued onto Hoon Avenue and forwards again onto Hassam Parade. We turned left onto the B5369 and right onto Oldcastle Avenue. We turned left onto Hanbridge Avenue and we turned left onto Bradwell Lane. We turned right onto Bursley Way and at the roundabout we went forwards onto Arnold Grove. We turned left onto Bradwell Lane and we went past the Potters Wheel pub. We continued left to the roundabout and we ran down Porthill Bank and crossed over the A500. As we crossed over the A500. We ran forwards onto the A5271 and we veered left onto Brownhills Road and we got up and got off the bus. We walked around the corner onto Brownhills Road and we turned right into Westport Lake Road. We stopped at the lake and Matthew had his dinner. It was a chicken sandwich and a bottle of Coke. Matthew visited the cafe and went to the toilet. Once we we had finished we set off onto Westport Lake Road and we crossed the road to wait for a bus to Newcastle. A few minutes later we saw City Centre Central FE15 UAD. After a while we saw the bus approaching. It was First Potteries 65729 on a #99 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down. We set off down Brownhills Road over Trubshaw Cross roundabout through Longport and over the A500. We went up Porthill Bank and we followed the A527 through Wolstanton & May Bank and into Newcastle. We crossed the roundabout onto Barracks Road and we entered the bus station. Once in the bus station we waited for a bus back to Fenton. A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 69169 on a #11 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off onto Barracks Road and we ran up to the Jubilee roundabout. We ran onto the A53 and around the one-way system onto the A52. We ran up George Street into Hartshill and we ran down the hill into Stoke town centre. After a brief stop we continued along Church Street out of Stoke and over the A500. We ran under the railway line and we continued onto City Road. At the top of the hill we got up and got off the bus. We crossed over city Road and walked back to the residential unit. Matthew went back up to his room to chill out before going to see uncle Dave. We saw City Cabs WF11 MOA parked up nearby. Later on we went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street. In the distance we saw Temple Street church RX18 GZW. We continued along Temple Street and at the end we turned left onto Smithpool Road. We went across the spare ground onto Willowdale Avenue and onto Whieldon Road and into uncle Dave's house. For tea Matthew had chicken potatoes and carrots with gravy followed by a slice of toffee cheesecake. Later on he had a drink of Fanta orange and a few digestive biscuits. Uncle Dave now has a biscuit tin. Matthew chilled out in uncle Dave's house using his computer and watching television. Uncle Dave also did his DJ set. A couple of hours later staff came to escort Matthew back home. We set off onto Whieldon Road and we turned onto Willowdale Avenue and we saw silver minibus DK53 VRE parked up. We crossed the spare ground and we turned left onto Smithpool Road. We turned right onto Temple Street past the Queen Elizabeth II Court. We continued back to the residential unit. Matthew went back to the room and went on his computer. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to the barbers. He was going out on the bus. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to barbers he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the barbers, we saw Temple Street Church RX18 GZW. We went downstairs and Transport for the trip was an Intercity taxi. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Smithpool Road. and we turned right onto City Road. We ran forwards onto King Street and we ran past the site of the new Burger King. We continued up through Foley and into Longton. We turned right onto Baths Road and we turned into Tesco. We got out of the taxi and we visited Carphone Warehouse. We crossed over the Strand and we walked up to the barbers. After having his haircut We walked back to Fenton. We got an Intercity taxi back to Fenton. We set off down The Strand and we ran under the railway line onto King Street. We ran through Foley into Fenton and forwards onto City Road. We turned left onto Glebedale Road and we ran along Baker Street onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto Christchurch Street and right onto Masterson Street. We turned right onto Watkin Street and onto Temple Street to go back to the residential unit. We went upstairs and Matthew chilled out in his room. Matthew chilled out in his room on his computer. For dinner he had sausage rolls followed by a slice of cheesecake. In the afternon Matthew had a nap. He woke up and used his computer. We watch buses out of the window we saw First Potteries 69161 on a #11 to Hanley. Later on we went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street. In the distance we saw Temple Street church minibus RX18 GZW. We carried on along Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We stopped at the Co-operative food and we turned left Temple Street We walked back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to his room to chill out and watch buses out of the window we saw First Potteries 69168 on a #11 to Newcastle.

For tea Matthew had beef sirloin steak and chips and gravy for tea followed by a Tunnock's Caramel biscuit. Later on we went to Hanley. We went downstairs and onto City Road. We waited for a bus to Hanley. After a short while we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67151 on a #23 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton. As the bus was empty Matthew took a picture inside First Potteries 63179 before we sat down.

When it was time the bus set off out of the bus station. We went down John Street and onto Bethesda Street before we went across onto Marsh Street and then we turned right into Trinity Street. We turned left into Stafford Street and we continued forwards to Quadrant Road and we left Hanley along Town Road. We travelled through Sneyd Green and over Smallthorne roundabouts and High Lane where we saw City Centre Central FE15 UAD. We ran forwards into Chell. At the end of High Lane the end we turned left onto the A527. We turned right onto Turnhurst Road past the old school which moved to the new building. We ran up to Packmoor. We continues into Newchapel and onto the High Street. We turned left onto Pennyfields Roads and at the roundabout we went onto Newchapel Road. We ran through the estate via Galleys bank and we ran into Kidsgrove and the bus terminated on King Street where we got up and got off the bus. We walked down Attwood Street and Matthew used the toilet. We turned left onto Liverpool Road and up to the bus stop. Matthew ate his a can of Irn Bru. A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 69151 on a #3 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down. We set off along the A50. We ran up the hill into Goldenhill and then forwards into Tunstall. We ran down the High Street. We continued down the High Street an we turned left onto Williamson Street. At the roundabout we turned right onto Scotia Road and past the the old bus garage before running up the hill into Burslem Town centre. We ran through the light onto Waterloo Road and up the hill into Cobridge. We ran down the hill towards Hanley and then up into town along Hope Street and Stafford Street. We turned right at the end past the town hall and onto Bagnall Street before entering the bus station where we got up got off. Once off the bus we visited the toilet. We waited for a bus back to Fenton. A short time later we saw First Potteries 65031 on a #6 to Meir.

We got on the bus we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off up Lichfield Street and we turned right into Birch Terrace. We followed the road around to the left onto Charles Street. At the top we turned right onto Old Hall Street before turning right onto the ring road. We turned left onto Lichfield Street and we ran down the hill to Joiners Square. We crossed the roundabout onto Victoria Road and we ran up the hill into Fenton. At the top of the hill we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we set off on foot up Victoria Road and we went sharp right onto Maud Street. We walked along the footpath and over George Street. We crossed over William Street. We walked forwards onto Fountain Street and we turned right onto City Road and we we turned left into Christchurch Street and right onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to chill out in his room. He watched television and used his computer. later on he had a bath. For supper Matthew had some toast. Matthew went to bed around 23:00... Mark
