Trip to Fenton / Hanley 26-07-2017

Today Matthew was in residential and he was going to his day service. Matthew was also going to visit his uncle Dave later on. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Whilst waiting to go to the day service we saw First Potteries 67602 on a #11 to Hanley. Around 09:00 we set off on foot to the day centre. We walked onto Temple Street and right onto Christchurch Street. At the day centre we saw Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX.

In the morning Matthew was going out on the bus. We set off on foot onto Glebedale Road and we crossed over city Road. We saw D&G Bus 111 on 'the Orange ONE' service to Newcastle.

On the roundabout we turned sharp left onto Victoria Road and we stood at the stop to wait for a bus to Hanley. Whilst we waited we saw Keith's Travel minibus YC62 VPU going towards Longton. A few minutes later we saw the bus approaching an it was dud First Potteries 67636 on a #6A to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked the Hanley before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off down Victoria Road and towards Joiners Square. At the roundabout we went forwards onto Lichfield Street and up the hill. We crossed over the ring road and we pulled up at the stop outside the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we went to get something to eat. We walked up Lichfield Street and forwards onto Tontine Street. We stopped at the Reginald Mitchell pub and Matthew went to the toilet before getting a drink of Coke. For dinner Matthew had a chicken breast burger with fries followed by chocolate fudge cake and ice cream. Once we had finished eating we walked back down Tontine Street and forwards onto Lichfield Street. We walked into the bus station and we waited for a bus back to Fenton. Whilst we waited we saw First Potteries 66304 on a #4A to Talke.

A few minutes later the bus turned up and it was First Potteries 67157 on a #23 to Newstead.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton. The bus was empty so Matthew took a picture inside First Potteries 67157 before sitting down towards the back of the bus.

We set off onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We crossed over the ring road and we ran down onto Regent Road and forwards onto Cleveland Road. We ran down though Shelton along College Road and we ran down to the railway station. Due to a diversion we turned right onto Station Road and left onto Stoke Road. After crossing the A500 we got onto the one-way system and we turned left onto Copeland Street. We continued forwards onto Glebe Street and we followed the road around onto Church Street. We crossed the A500 and we ran under the railway line. After climbing up the hill we turned right onto Christchurch Street. We got up and got off the bus by the square. Once off the bus we walked back to the day centre. In the afternoon Matthew went for a walk to the part. We set off onto Christchurch Street and we went down Masterson Street. We turned left onto Watkin Street and we walked to the end. We walked along the back of Welby Street adjacent to the railway line and at the end we turned left onto Smithpool Road. We crossed over the railway line and we walked to the park. After spending some time on the play equipment we walked down towards the pool. before returning onto Smithpool Road. We turned right onto Masterson Street and at the end we turned left onto Christchurch Street and back to the day centre. When it was time to go back to the residential unit Matthew set off onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto Temple Street and back to the unit. Matthew went up to his room to chill out whilst he waited to go to uncle Daves. When it was time to go we set off on foot onto Temple Street and we walked down to Smithpool Road. We walked down City Road and we crossed over the road to the bus stop. We waited for the next #23A so we could go to uncle Dave's. A few minutes later the bus appeared and it was First Potteries 67159 on a #23A to Newstead. We got on the bus and we booked to Mount Pleasant. The bus set off up City Road and we turned right onto Smithpool Road. When we got to the railway bridge over the line to Derby we got up and got off the bus. We then continued along Smithpool Road before turning right onto the path the leads onto Willowdale Avenue. We went onto Whieldon Road and we went to uncle Dave's house. For tea Matthew had chicken potatoes and carrots. later on he had a drink of Tango orange and a few custard creams. Matthew chill out in uncle Dave's house using his computer and watching television. A couple of hours later staff came to escort Matthew back home. We set off onto Whieldon Road and we turned onto Willowdale Avenue. We crossed the spare ground and we turned left onto Smithpool Road. We turned right onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went back to the room and went on his computer. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was going to the pub for his tea, but not before he had been to his day service. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had a giant crumpet and orange juice for breakfast. Just before 09:00 his transport to his day service turned up and it was Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU.

We got on the bus and we sat down. We set off down to the A5035 and we ran over the railway line into Trentham. We turned right into New Inn Lane and we picked up another service user. We returned onto New Inn Lane and we turned left onto the A5035. We came back into Blurton and we turned left onto Church Road. At the roundabout we turned left onto Blurton Road. We joined the Eastbound A50 and we then turned left onto the A50 link Road and we ran up to City Road. We turned left and we ran to Glebedale Road and turned left and to our destination. In the morning Matthew went for a walk. We set off onto Christchurch Street and we went down Masterson Street. We turned left onto Watkins Street and we walked to the back street at the end. We joined Smithpool Road and then we walked around the lido. After we had been around the pool we walked back onto Smithpool Road and we turned right onto Alma Street. We turned left onto Watkin Street and we stopped at the shop on the corner of Masterson Street. Matthew broough a bottle of Coke. We then walked back onto Christchurch Street and then to the day centre. For dinner Matthew went to MacDonalds. We went in a Intercity taxi. We set off onto Christchurch Street and down Masterson Street. We turned right onto Smithpool Road and then left onto City Road. We turned into the private road for the swimming baths and we ran through to Victoria Road where we turned left. We then turned left into MacDonalds. Matthew used the toilet and then had a burger and fries and Coke. To get to the pub Matthew went on an Intercity taxi. We set off onto Victoria Road and we ran down into Joiners Square. At the roundabout we went straight across onto Lichfield Street and to the pub. Matthew went to the toilet and then had a can of Coke. Highlights of the bus sightings included First Potteries 63177 on a #6 to Weston Coyney. When it was time to leave we got back aboard Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU. Also in the car park was Shelton Care Group NL61 VSG. We set off towards Hanley and then we turned right onto Pelham Street. We wound our way back Lichfield Street via Eastwood Road and Hampton Street. At Joiners Square we turned left onto the A52. We followed the road to the right and into Bucknall and then we ran up the hill through Ash Bank, werrington and into Cellarhead. At the light we turned right onto the A520 and we ran through Weston Coyney to Meir. We turned right at the roundabout and we we joined the Westbound A50. On the A50 we passed an unidentified Sleafordian coach. We came off the A50 outside the Bet365 stadium and we went onto Stanley Matthews Way. We ran all the way up to the other end and then we turned right onto the A5035. We crossed the railway line into Trentham and we turned right into New Inn Lane. We dropped off another service user and then we returned onto New Inn Lane and the A5035. We carried on over the railway line into Blurton and Matthew got home just before 15:00. Matthew had toast and a drink of Barr Bubblegum whilst he waited for the time to go out and catch the bus. Today we went to catch the 16:26 to Newcastle. We set off on foot to the bus stop all the way onto Magdalen Road. We had seen the turn earlier in the day and it was booked to be dud First Potteries 67636. A few minutes later the bus turned the corner and as expected it was dud First Potteries 67636.

We got on the bus and we booked to Harpfields Road before sitting down towards the back of the bus. There were a few more passenger on this service than usual... It may have something to do with the end of the school term. We joined the Westbound A5035 and we passed First Potteries 67632 on a #22 to Longton and Leons coach 223. We turned right into New Inn Lane and we climbed the bill into Hanford. We turned right into Wilson Road and we overtook First Potteries 41540 on a 21A to Hanley. We turned left Church Lane and we ran down the hill and joined the A34. As we joined the A34 we saw Keith's Travel minibus MT07 DLZ and First Class RO62 LTU. We crossed under the A500 into Trent Vale and as we turned right into Harpfields Road we saw First Potteries 67631 on the final #22 turn to Longton. We got up and got off the bus and Matthew took a picture of First Potteries 67636 as it carried on towards Newcastle.

We headed back onto the A34 and we walked to the pub and we saw First Potteries 65038 on a #101 to Stafford. When mum arrived we went into the pub. Matthew had a brunch with oatcakes followed by toffee sponge pudding with ice cream. Whilst we ate highlights of the passing buses included First Potteries 65042 on a Stafford Bound #101 service,and ABC Supreme P881 RND on a South bound shuttle. When it was time to go we got in the car to go home. We went South down the A34. Turned left onto the A500 and we ran North up to Sideway. We turned right onto the A50 and we continued to Heron Cross dropping down into Fenton to pick uncle Dave up. Once we had picked him up we ran back up to Heron Cross and over the A50. We ran into Blurton and we picked mum back up before turned right into Church Road and right again onto Beaconsfield Drive. We saw First Potteries 67632 on the #22 to Longton. We got home around 18:00. Matthew chilled out on his computer and we sorted things out. We chilled out on the sofa until bedtime around 00:00... Mark
