Trip to Hanley / Longton Park 29-08-2018

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. Matthew was also going out to Hanley and Longton Park. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Whilst waiting to go to the day service we saw First Potteries 63176 on a #11 to Hanley. At 09:00 we set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street and to the day centre. At the day centre we saw Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX parked up.

In the morning Matthew went to Hanley on the bus. We set off onto Christchurch Street and we stopped at the Post office. After we had picked up a Copeland's Tours brochure we went out onto Christchurch Street. The bus appeared and it was First Potteries 67153 on a #23 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Christchurch Street. We turned left onto City Road. down under the railway line and into Stoke. After a brief stop we continued around the one-way system onto Elenora Street and right onto Copeland street. We turned left onto Glebe Street and we went under the railway line before turning left onto Station Road. We went past the railway station ans we turned right onto College Road. After running the hill through Shelton we continued onto Cleveland Road and forwards onto Regent Road. We turned left onto Lower Bethesda Street and we crossed over the ring road onto Bethesda Street. We turned right onto John Street and we entered the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. In the bus station we saw Stanton's of Stoke 4051 VT on a #61 to Bradeley. We set off up Lichfield Street and we turned right onto Old Hall Street. We went forwards onto Parliament Row and we turned left onto Tontine Square and we stopped at Harley's. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards he had a glass of Coke. Once we had finished we walked up towards the shopping centre and we stopped at Greggs. Matthew brought a sausage roll. We walked along Tontine Street and back onto Lichfield Street and to the bus station. We waited for a bus back to Fenton. We saw First Potteries 67602 on a #12A to Longton.

A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 67635 on a #11 to Newcastle.

Eventually our bus turned up. It was First Potteries 67650 on a #6A to Blythe Bridge.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off up Lichfield Street and we turned right into Birch Terrace. We followed the road around to the left onto Charles Street. At the top we turned right onto Old Hall Street before turning right onto the ring road. We turned left onto Lichfield Street and we ran down the hill to Joiners Square. We crossed the roundabout onto Victoria Road and we ran up the hill into Fenton. At the top of the hill we got up and got off the bus. One off the bus we set off on foot onto City Road and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We turned right onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs and Matthew went to his room. for dinner Matthew had a sausage roll followed by a Bakewell Tart. In the afternoon Matthew went to Longton park. We went downstairs and we saw that transport for the trip was Z Carz LG09 WPE. We got on the bus and we set off onto Temple Street. We turned right onto Christchurch Street and right onto Station Bridge Road. We followed the road around onto Heron Street and into Heron Cross. We went through the traffic lights and forwards onto Blurton Road. We crossed over the A50 and we ran through Blurton. We turned left onto Drubbery Lane and we ran to the end. We crossed over the A5035 onto Queens Park Avenue where we parked up. Matthew went into the park and used the play equipment. We saw the pavillion cafe which is to refurbished and opened up. When we had finished we returned to Fenton on Z carz LG09 WPE. We ran along Queens Park Avenue and forwards onto Cocknage Road. We ran through to the A520 and we crossed over onto the B5029. We turned left onto Whitestone Road and then right onto Lysander Road. We ran down towards the A50 and we got onto the Westbound carriageway. We ran through Meir Tunnel and Longton and we came off the A50 at Heron Cross. We turned right onto Blurton Road and we ran through Heron Cross lights onto Heron Street. We followed the road around onto Station Bridge Road and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto Masterson Street and right onto Watkin Street. We ran onto Temple street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs ti his room to chill out and use his computer. We saw D&G Bus 112 on a #1 to park Site.

A few minutes later we saw grey minibus EJ12 HHM going towards Hanley.

After Matthew went for a walk to Aldi to get some shopping. We went downstairs and we set off onto City Road and we crossed over and onto Manor Street. At the end of Manor Street we turned left onto Victoria Road and and we stopped at Aldi to pickup Matthew's weekly shop. Once Matthew had finished shopping we returned to the residential unit in Autocabs minibus PO61 JXD. We set off up Victoria Road and we turned onto Manor Street. We turned right onto City Road and left onto Smithpool Road. We turned left onto Temple Street past the new building under construction and back to the residential unit. Matthew went back to the room and went on his computer. for tea Matthew had sausage chips and gravy and a bottle of Coke. Later on we went to Hanley on the bus. We went downstairs ans we set off on foot onto City Road. We walked past the Afford garage and in the garage we saw Afford Rent-A-Car BL67 YED parked up.

We continued down to the bus stop outside the flats and we waited for a First Potteries bus to Hanley. A few minutes later the bus cam around the corner. As it got closer we saw that it was First Potteries 42554. We got on the bus and booked to Hanley before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we joined the A52 and ran under the railway line. After crossing over the A500 we ran into Stoke town centre along Church Street. We followed the one-way system around onto Elenora Street and right onto Copeland Street. We turned left onto Glebe Street and we ran under the railway line before turning left onto Station Road. After stopping briefly outside the railway station we turned right onto College Road and we ran up the hill through Shelton. We continued onto Cleveland Road and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We crossed over the ring road and we continued along Bethesda Street before turning right onto John Street. We ran up the hill into the bus station and onto stand. Once in the bus station we got up and got off the bus. Matthew took a picture of First Potteries 42554 as it reversed off stand.

We set off onto Tontine Street and onto Tontine Square. We went down to Stafford Street and we stopped at the dessert shop. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards had a glass of Coke and a red velvet cheesecake. We walked down Trinity Street onto Etruria Road. By the casino we saw Roseville DN13 TMU parked up.

We continued down Etruria Road and we walked around the ring road in an anti-clockwise direction all the way to the bus station. We then waited for a bus back to Fenton. A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 67156 on a #23 to Newstead.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton. As the bus was empty Matthew took a picture inside First Potteries 67156 before we sat down.

We set off out of the bus station onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We crossed over the ring road and we ran down onto Regent Road and forwards onto Cleveland Road. We ran down though Shelton along College Road and we ran down to the railway station. We turned right onto Glebe Street and under the railway line an we ran around the one-way system in Stoke and stopped by Stoke Minster. We turned left onto Church Street and we crossed the A500 and we ran under the railway line. After climbing up the hill into Fenton we turned right into Smithpool Road where we got up and got off the bus. We walked back up Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went up to his room to chill out. He used his computer and watched music videos on the Television. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to Stafford Hospital. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice. Whilst waiting for the time to go out, we saw D&G Bus 44 on a #1A to Audley. Matthew chilled out in his room until dinnertime, using his computer and watching buses out of the window. We saw First Potteries 67156 on a #23 to Hanley. When it was time to go out we went out it was Z Carz LG09 WPE. We set off onto Temple Street and we ran down to Smithpool Road. We turned right and then left onto City Road. We ran down the hill to the A52 and we turned right towards the railway station. We went forwards onto Station Road and we turned right onto College Road and we saw First Potteries 67155 on a #23A to Newstead. We ran up the hill through Shelton and forwards onto Cleveland Road. We continued onto Regent Road and we turned left onto Lichfield Street. We joined the anti-clockwise ring road and we ran around to Town Road. We came into the town centre and we stopped at Quadrant Road. Once out of the minibus we walked through the Intu hanley shopping centre onto Parliament Row and Matthew brought some jelly sweets. We then walked around onto Tontine Square and back through the Intu Hanley shopping centre back to Quadrant Road. Afterwarda we went to Stoke. We set off onto the ring road and we ran clockwise around to Snow Hill. We down the hill through Shelton onto Stoke Road and just before the railway line we turned left onto Station Road. At the end of Station Road we turned right onto Glebe Street and we ran around the one-way system. We went left onto London Road and we stopped at Sainsbury's. We walked back into Stoke town centre onto Campbell Place and we stopped at Heron Foods. Matthew brought some frozen food. We went to the cafe and Matthew had sausage sandwich and chips and a can of Coke. After we had finished Matthew went to the toilet. When we had finished in the cafe we went outside and we saw First Potteries 67158 on a #21 to Trentham.

We walked down London Road and we saw Paul's of Stoke L232 BUT going towards Stoke.

We went to visit HD Reptiles to see the animals. The first one we saw was a large snake, possibly a Python.

We also saw another Python with lighter colouring.

Once we had finished in the reptile shop we returned to the minibus and we went to Park Hall. We set off around the one-way system around Stoke and we joined the A52 and ran under the railway line. We ran up City Road into Fenton and we continued forwardes onto King Street. We turned left onto Clarence Road and we crossed over Ashwood onto Longley Road. At the end we turned right onto Heathcote Street and we ran to the end. We turned left onto Anchor Road and we ran up the hill and down into Adderley Green. At the roundabout we turned right onto the A5272 and we ran for around 1/2 mile up to the next turn on the left. We parked up and Matthew went for a walk around Park Hall. We found the toilet block and Matthew visited the toilet whilst there. After a couple of hours we headed back to Fenton. We set off out of the car park and down the road to the A5272. we turned right an we ran to the roundabout at Adderley Green. We turned left onto Anchor Road and we ran up the hill and over the top. As we ran down towards Longton we turned right onto Wood Street and right onto Marlborough Road. We ran forwards onto Drayton Road and we turned left onto Clarence Road. At the end of Clarence Road we turned right onto King Street. We ran through Fenton, running forwards onto City Road. We turned left onto Glebedale Road and we ran along Baker Street onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto Christchurch Street and right onto Masterson Street. We turned right onto Watkin Street and onto Temple Street to go back to the residential unit. Once back at the unit Matthew back upstairs to chill in his room. Matthew used his computer and watched some Television. Matthew then went shopping. We walked onto Christchurch street and we stopped at the papershop. We continued over City Road and onto Manor Street. We crossed through George Street and Edwards Street onto Victoria Road and we walked down the hill to Aldi. Matthew did his food shopping and then walked back to the residential unit. We walked up Victoria Road and we saw First Potteries 67604 on a #6A to Blythe Bridge. We turned right onto Manor Street and we stopped at the green space on the corner of William Street. we stopped at the playground and Matthew had a can of Coke. We continued along manor Street onto City Road and back to the residential unit. Matthew returned to his room to chill out on his computer. For tea Matthew shepperd's pie followed by a jam tart. Later on Matthew went to his room to chill out. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.
