Trip to Hanley / Cheadle 11-01-2026

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going out on the bus. Matthew got up around 09:00 and had toast and juice for breakfast. He chilled out in his room and watched buses out of the windown until it was time to go out. Whilst we waited to go out we went downstairs and onto Temple Street. We turned cut through onto City Road and we headed towards the bus stop. On the way we saw Afford rent-a-car MK71 WPT parked up at their garage.

We walked to the stop opposite the flats and we watched the sheltered housing complex. We waited for a bus towards Hanley. A short time later we saw First Potteries 63114 on a #23 to Hanley. A few minutes later we saw the bus approaching and we saw it was First Potteries 67143 on a #11 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off up City Road and we went forwards onto King Street. We ran through Foley and we under the railway line into Longton town centre. We ran up Market Street and we turned left onto Anchor Road. We ran up the hill to the top and ran down to the roundabout in Adderley Green. At the roundabout at the East end of Bentilee we turned right onto Beverley Drive and then left onto Dawlish Drive and we ran to the end and we turned left onto Beverley Drive. At the end we turned right onto Dividy Road and we ran down the hill to Bucknall. We turned left onto the A52 we ran to limekiln lights and we went across onto Bucknall New Road. We climbed the hill up to Hanley and we joined the clockwise ring road. We turned right onto Bethesda Road and right onto John Street and into the bus station and we got up and got off the bus. As it was a nice day we sat on the seats and Matthew had a chicken sandwich washed down with can of Irn Bru. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 63114 on a #23 to Newstead.

We got on the bus. We booked to Leek and as the rear of the bus was empty Matthew took a picture inside First Potteries 63114 before we sat down.

We set off onto bus station onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We crossed over the ring road and we ran down onto Regent Road and we got up and got off the bus. We turned onto Regent Road and we turned left onto Lower Bethesda Street and we turned right the ring road. We turned into the the stop outside the bus station. Whilst we waited for a bus back to Fenton and Matthew visited the toilet. A few minutes later the bus appeared and it was D&G Bus 6012 on a #32X to Upper Tean. We got on the bus and we booked to Cheadle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off out off the bus station. The bus went out of the bus station and onto the ring road. We turned left into Lichfield Street and onto Birch Terrace and past the old bus station. We turned right onto old Hall Street and then we crossed the ring road onto Limekiln Bank. At the bottom of the hill we went across the traffic lights onto the A52. We continued through Bucknall and up Ash Bank. We went into Werrington and forwards into Cellarhead. We went through the crossroad and we headed Eastwards towards Kingsley Moor. We turned right onto the A522 and past the JCB Pond. We ran into Cheadle and we turned left onto Chapel Street and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we walked back down Chapel Street and we visited Asda. Afterwards we walked up the road to Morrisons. Matthew went of dinner and had a sausage roll. When we had finished shopping we walked onto Leek Road to wait for the bus. A short time later and it appeared. It was D&G Bus 6012 on a #32X to Hanley. We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off Northwards up the A522 and we ran into Kingsley Holt and we turned left onto Holt Lane. We ran into Kingsley and forwards onto the Westbound A52. We ran up to the junction of the A522 and we turned right to continue along the A52. We ran through Cellarhead crossroads and into Werrington. We ran down Ash Bank and into Bucknall. We continued over the traffic light onto Bucknall New Road and we climbed the hill into Hanley. We turned left onto the clockwise ring road and we turned right onto Bethesda Street. We turned right onto John Street and we entered the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. We waited for the next #23 back to Fenton. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67157 on a #6 to Park Hall. We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We turned left onto the ring road and we turned right onto Lichfield Street and we ran down the hill to Joiners Square. We crossed the roundabout onto Victoria Road and we ran up the hill into Fenton. At the top of the hill we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we set off on foot on the road at the back of Victoria Road. We turned right onto George Street and we turned left onto Leopold Street. We stopped at the playground and Matthew had a can of Coke. We continued along Manor Street. We crossed over City Road and we went back to the residential unit. Matthew went to his room to chill out and use his computer. He also watched buses out of the window. We went upstairs and Matthew chilled out in his room. We went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street. We turned left onto Smithpool Road. We crossed over the railway line and we walked down to the entrance of the park. For dinner Matthew had washed down a can of Irn Bru. In the park Matthew walked up to the playground. Once we had finished in the park we walked back along Grove Road. We crossed over the Whieldon Road and we turned left onto Smithpool Road. We turned right onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs and Matthew went to his room. For tea Matthew had a Lamb Mince Pasta Bake Cheese & Bacon followed by cake. In the late evening Matthew went downstairs to spend time with the other residents ar cuppa club. Matthew had various biscuits as well as some rice crispy cakes washed down with a can of Dr Pepper. Later on Matthew went back upstairs and had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to out for bus later. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the day centre, we saw First Potteries 67157 on a #23 to Hanley. We went downstairs and we set off onto City Road and we crossed over and onto Manor Street. At the end of Manor Street we turned left onto Victoria Road and and we stopped at Aldi to pickup Matthew's weekly shop. Once Matthew had finished shopping we returned to the Burslem in Lucky Seven taxi. We set off up Victoria Road and we ran down the hill. We crossed over the roundabout at Joiners Square onto Lichfield street and we ran up the hill towards Hanley. We went around the ring-road and we got onto the A50. We ran through Burslem we past Lidl. We around the back of Tunstall High Street past the police station. We re-joined the High Street and ran through Sandyford. We ran through Goldenhill and down the hill into Kidsgrove. We went under the railway line and into Cheshire and we crossed over the A34 onto the B5077. We continued into Alsager and we ran forwards into Radway Green. We continued up Slaughter hill and we ran up to Haslington before running towards Crewe along the A534. We ran inti the town and past the railway station before turning right into Edleston Road. We ran into the centre of Crewe and we followed the road around onto Delamere Street. We walked onto the bus station is currently being re-developed and we have set up a new temporary bus station to the West of the original site. We sat down in the chip restaurant and we order our food. Matthew went to the toilet and the food arrived. He had Chips beans and sausage with 2 round of bread and butter washed down with a cup of Coke. After we had finished eating headed back to the bus station. After we had finished we walked back through the bus station. After we had finished we walked back through the bus station and we saw First Potteries 67141 on a #3 to Hanley. When we had finished we returned We got in the car and we set off onto Edleston Road and we turned left onto the A534. We ran past the railway station and we continued up towards Haslington. We turned right onto Slaughter Hill and we ran back through Radway Green and into Alsager. We continued over the A34 and into Staffordshire and we ran under the railway line into Kidsgrove. We ran up the hill into Goldenhill and we continued into Sandyford. We joined Tunstall High Street and then we ran around the town centre and joined Scotia Road near to Asda. We ran up into Burslem and we continued along the A5o into Cobridge. We ran down the hill to the edge of Hanley and we went around the ring road to Lichfield Street. We ran down the hill to Joiners Square and we turned right onto the A52. We ran forwards past the railway station and we veered left towards Fenton. We turned left onto City Road and we turned right onto Smithpool Road. We turned left onto Temple Street and we returned to the residential unit. Mathew went upstairs to his room to chill out and watch buses before going out later on. We went downstairs and we and we cut through onto City Road to wait a bus to Newcastle. At the Afford garage we saw Afford rent-a-car MK71 WPT parked up.

We stood at the bus stop outside the flats and we waited for a bus to Newcastle. Whilst we waited we saw silver minibus DY04 XLT.

A few minutes later the bus appeared and it was First Potteries 63112 on a #11 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre along Church Street. After a brief stop in Stoke we continued along church Street and forwards onto Hartshill Road and we saw blue minibus V604 MBL. We ran up the hill and into Hartshill. We ran forwards onto George Street and we ran down the hill into Newcastle. We turned left at the roundabout onto Barracks Road and into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. A short time later we saw First Potteries 35944 on a #25 to Keele.

We set off onto Hassell Street and we turned right onto High Street and we stopped at McDonalds. Matthew had a burger and fries washed down with a cup of Coke. Once we had finished we walked down High Street and we turned left into Church Street. We turned left onto the Southbound Southbound A34 and we walked down Stanier Street. We walked onto Stanier Street and we walked along the footpath which used to be the Dunkirk Court. We came out onto Dunkirk and we saw white minibus SN56 FCL. We walked up Castle Hill Road and we crossed over the roundabout onto the Southbound A34 and we went under the subway and we walked up Church Street and into the High Street and we walked onto Hassell Street. We got a Lucky Seven taxi back to Fenton. We set off onto Friars Street. We turned right onto the Southbound A34 and and we turned left onto the A527. We ran past the bus station and we crossed over the roundabout onto the A52 and we run up to Hartshill. We veered left onto Shelton New Road and we stopped briefly near to the old Gilberts furniture shop. We continued down Shelton New Road through the traffic lights and we turned right to join the Southbound A500. We stayed on the high level road and we came off the A500 at City Road. We ran under the railway line and up the hill into Fenton. We turned right onto Manor Street. We turned left onto Victoria Road and we ran down to Joiners Square. We turned right onto the A52 and we ran towards Bucknall. At Limekiln we turned right to follow the A52. We turned left onto Finney Green and we parked up. after spending some time at the gardens we returned to Fenton in a Roseville taxi. We got in the taxi. We set off onto Finney Green and we turned right onto the A52. At Limekiln Light we followed the A52 to the left. At Joiners Square. We turned left onto Victoria Road and we ran up the hill into Fenton. We turned right onto Manor Street and left onto City Road and we turned right Glebedale Road. We turned right Baker Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street. We ran to the end of the road and we got out. We walked around the corner onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to his room and chilled out in his room and use his computer and watch buses out of the window. Matthew also drank a can of Cherry Coke. Later on Matthew chilled out in his room. Matthew used his computer and watched music videos on the television. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going out on the bus. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the dentist and we saw Roseville BV60 BAA. We went downstairs and we and we cut through onto City Road to wait a bus to Newcastle. At the Afford garage we saw Afford rent-a-car MK71 WPT parked up. We continued to the stop outside the flats and we waited for a bus to Newcastle. A short time later we saw First Potteries 69151 on a #11 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre along Church Street. After a brief stop in Stoke we continued along church Street and forwards onto Hartshill Road. We ran up the hill and into Hartshill. We ran forwards onto George Street and we ran down the hill into Newcastle. We turned left at the roundabout onto Barracks Road and into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Once we got off the bus we saw Stanton's of Stoke LRV 731. Matthew went over to investigate. He persuaded the driver to let him on the bus and we took a picture of the inside of the minibus.

We said thank you to the driver and then we went to wait for the bus and sat at the stop. We walked out of the bus station onto Castle Walk. We turned left onto Ironmarket and we stopped at the bank at the end. We turned left onto High Street and we stopped at McDonalds. Matthew had a burger and fries washed down with a cup of Coke. Once we had finished we walked down High Street and we turned left into Hassell Street. We returned to the bus station and we waited for a bus to Hanley. After a short while we saw First Potteries 69174 on a #22 to Longton.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station onto Barracks Road and we ran Southwards onto the A34. We turned left into the hospital and we ran through the the grounds. As we travelled through the hospital we saw ABC Supreme KX14 EBZ & E-zec patient transport OU18 CEF. We turned left onto Hilton Road. We continued onto Albany Road and we turned right onto The Avenue. At the end of the road we turned right onto the A52 and we ran through Hartshill and down the hill into Stoke town centre. After a brief stop we continued along Church Street out of Stoke and over the A500. We ran under the railway line and we continued onto City Road. At the top of the hill we got up and got off the bus. We crossed over City Road and we cut through to the residential unit. We went upstairs and chilled out in his room. We went to Holmes Chapel by Car. We went downstairs and we got in the car. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We crossed over City Road onto Manor Street and we headed onto Victoria Road. We ran down the hill to Joiners Square and we crossed over the roundabout onto Lichfield Street. We ran up the hill to the edge of Hanley and we we joined the anti-clockwise ring road. We went around town anti-clockwise and we ran onto Waterloo Road. We ran through Cobridge into Burslem and we continued through town onto Scotia Road. We turned left onto Williamson Street and at the end we turned right onto Tunstall High Street. We continued through town through Goldenhill into Kidsgrove. We continued North through Church Lawton into Rode Heath and out the other side We passed the Stanway's depot. We continued North to Holmes Chapel along the A50 through Arclid crossroads. We ran into Holmes Chjapel and we turned left onto the A54. We turned left onto Selkirk Drive and we ran down to the leisure centre. Once in leisure centre Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards cafe for food to take away. Matthew had a can of coke. Once he had pickd up the drink we returned to the car. We had finished we got in the car and we set off onto the Selkirk Drive. We turned right onto Chester Road and right onto the A50. We continued through Brereton Green and down towards Brereton. We continued down through Arclid. We ran through Fourlanes End and into Rode Heath. We continued over the A34 and into Staffordshire and we ran under the railway line into Kidsgrove. We ran up the hill into Goldenhill and we continued into Sandyford. We joined Tunstall High Street where we saw City Centre Central YD63 UKW in the depot. We continued down the Scotia Road and left into the Boulevard. We ran down the hill past the park and we went forwards onto Queens Avenue. We turned left onto High Lane. We ran through Smallthorne & Sneyd Green. We ran into Hanley and onto the ring road. We turned left onto Lichfield Street. At Joiners Square crossed the roundabout onto Victoria Road. Victoria Road and we ran up the hill into Fenton. At the roundabout we turned sharp right onto City Road and left onto Smithpool Road. We turned left onto Temple Street and we went to his room and chilled out. We went upstairs and Matthew had a can of Irn Bru. For a late tea Matthew had a egg sandwich. Later on we went out to Longton in a car. We went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We crossed over City Road and we crossed over and onto Manor Street. At the end of Manor Street we turned left onto Victoria Road. We ran up the hill and we stopped at McDonalds. Matthew had a cup of Coke and an ice cream. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards we returned to Fenton. We got in the car and we set off onto Victoria Road and We turned right onto City Road. We turned left onto Glebedale Road and we ran along Baker Street onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto Christchurch Street and right onto Masterson Street. We turned right onto Watkin Street and onto Temple Street past the new building under construction and back to the residential unit. Matthew went back upstairs to chill out in his room and use his computer and watch buses out of the window. Matthew also drank a bottle of Irn Bru. Matthew returned to his room to chill out. He watched television and used his computer. later on he had a bath. For supper Matthew had some toast. Matthew went to bed around 23:00... Mark
