Trip to Fenton / Newcastle 03-08-2018

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. He was also going to see Grandma later on and going to the pub and returning to Blurton for a long weekend. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Whilst we waited for time to go out Matthew watched buses from his window. Around 09:00 we set off to the day centre on foot. We down onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street. We saw white minibus T4 FTE in the street.

We carried on to the day centre. In the morning Matthew did some cooking. He mad a lasagne. For dinner Matthew had sausage chips and gravy. In the afternoon Matthew walked to the pub. We set off onto Christchurch Street and to the pub. Matthew went to the toilet. He had a glass of Coke and chilled out in the pub for the afternoon. After we had finished we walked back to the residential unit. We set off along Christchurch Street and we turned left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went up to his room to chill and out and wait for me to come and pick him up. I arrived and we got ready to go to Blurton. Whilst we were getting ready we saw white taxi minibus MK18 YBN which ws brand new and on trade plates. Once we were ready we went downstairs and out of the residential unit. We got in the car and we drove onto Temple Street. We turned right onto Christchurch Street and right onto Station Bridge Road. We followed the road around onto Heron Street and into Heron Cross. We went through the traffic lights and forwards onto Blurton Road where we saw Stoke-on-Trent welfare bus LK17 DXC. We continued through Blurton and we turned right onto Church Street. We turned left onto Beaconsfield Drive and we got home around 15:00. When we got home Matthew had toast and a can of Coke. Today we were catching the 15:56 to Newcastle as we were going to the pub via Grandma's House. We set off around 15:50 on foot to the bus stop all the way onto Magdalen Road. Whilst we waited for the bus we saw Cauldwell Construction DV12 JVY heading into Blurton.

The bus was a little late today due to traffic. When it appeared it was First Potteries 63101 on a #22 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle and sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off onto the A5035. We went over the railway line into Trentham. We turned right into New Inn Lane and we ran up the hill into Hanford. We turned right into Wilson Road and we ran down Church Lane where we passed First Potteries 67152 on a #21A to the Trentham hotel. We continued down onto the A34 and as we joined the A34 we saw white minibus PN52 RZX going Southwards. As we crossed under the A500 and we saw First Potteries 67634 on the final #22 turn. We continued into Trent Vale and we saw ABC Supreme FJ17 GVT. We turned right into Harpfields Road and we continued forwards on Hilton Road where we saw white minibus DX02 DDL. We turned into the hospital and as we travelled through the hospital we saw E-zec patient transport YJ16 GHV, First Potterires 32649 on a #25 to Hanley and ABC Supreme HV18 GVR. We turned right onto the A34. A couple of stops down the road we got up and got off the bus. We walked towards the crossing and we saw D&G 159 on a #9 to Newcastle.

We crossed over the A34 and we walked up the hill to Grandma's house. At Grandma's Matthew had a can of Irn Bru and used her computer. Around 18:00 we set off onto Victoria Street. We turned left onto the A34. We continued down the A34 and we ran down into Trent Vale and we saw Queensbury Amatuer Boxing Assosiation GC14 OOE. We carried on down the A34 and we went into the pub. Matthew had a brunch with oatcakes followed by toffee sponge pudding with custard. Whilst we ate highlights of the passing buses included D&G 142 running epty towards the depot and First Potteries 65034 on a #101 to Stafford and First Potteries 65038 on a #101 to Hanley. Once we had finished eating we set off back to Blurton. We ran down the A34 and we joined the A500 at Hanford following Secure Cars LK16 MFV. We went North up the A500 to Sideway and we went Eastwards along the A50. We came off the A50 at Heron Cross. We dropped down into Fenton to pick uncle Dave up. Once we had picked him up we ran up to Heron Street and we crossed over the A50. We continued into Blurton along Blurton Road. We turned right onto Church Road and we turned right into Beaconsfield Drive. We got home around 19:30. Matthew chilled out on his computer and we composed a few e-mails and sorted a few things out. We then chilled out on the sofa doing e-mails and writing the until bedtime around 01:00... Mark

Trip to Longton / Red Street 06-06-2018

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. He was also going to Longton on the bus. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. Across the road we saw Britannia Travel S100 KKE.

Around 09:00 we set off to the bus stop. We walked onto City Road and we crossed over and headed towards Victoria Place. On the way we saw Copeland's Tours MIB 394 going towards Stoke.

We waited at the bus stop near to Pilpots for a bus towards LOngton. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 63174 on a #11 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Longton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We carried on along City Road and we continued forwards onto King Street. We passed through Foley. We ran forwards into Longton and under the railway line into Longton town centre. The bus stopped on Market Street and we got up and got off the bus. As we got off the bus we saw Scraggs coach 5437 VT going up the one-way system.

We crossed over Market Street an up Gransport Lane. We entered the shopping precinct and we stopped at Poundland. We then went back to the Card Factory to do some more shopping. We walked over the car park to B&M to pick up something else. We walked through to the market and Matthew went to the toilet. We came out of the market and we crossed over The Strand and went to the Cafe Delight. Matthew had a brunch washed down with a can of Coke. Once we came out we waited for a bus back to Fenton. Whilst we waited we saw D&G Bus 135 the new #50 service to Newstead.

A few minutes later we saw Secure Cars LK16 MFV going down the one-way system towards the railway bridge.

A few minutes later the bus appeared and it was First Potteries 63099 on a #6 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We saw First Potteries 41499 on a #12A to Hanley. The bus set off down The Strand and we ran under the railway line onto King Street. We ran through Foley into Fenton and forwards onto City Road. We turned right into Victoria Road and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we walked back to the residential unit. We set of around the corner onto City Road and we crossed over. We turned left into Christchurch Street and right into Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went up to his room to use his computer and watch buses out of the window. We saw Christchurch Primary DU56 DNN going towards Heron Cross.

Later on we went out to do some shopping. Transport for the trip we saw it was a taxi. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. After crossing over City Road we walked along Manor Street. At the end we turned left onto Victoria Road and we crossed over the old railway line before turning left into Aldi. In the shop Matthew brought some Bakewell tarts as well as other foodstuffs. We the returned to the residential in a Lucky Seven taxi. We set off onto Victoria Road and we ran down to Joiners Square. We turned left onto the A52 and we ran past the end of Station Road and towards Stoke. We went under the railway line and we crossed over the A500 and we went around the one-way system. We ran up the hill into Hartshill and we continued to the edge of Newcastle. We turned right into Albert Street and we crossed over the A53 onto Sandy Lane. At the roundabout we turned right onto the A527. We ran towards Wolstanton and we followed the A527 down to the A500. We ran North to the A34 and then we continued North. At the firat roundabout we turned left and we headed back over the A500 to Red Street. We stopped at the pub and Matthew went in. Matthew went to the toilet and had a glass of Coke. Matthew had a beefburger and fries followed by a chocolate fudge cake and ice cream. When we had finished we returned to Fenton in a Lucky Seven taxi. We set off Northwards up towards Talke and we turned right onto the A34 We joined the A500 and we ran Southwards to the Etruria. We joimned the A53 and we ran towards Festival park. We went right onto Etruria Road and we joined the anti-clockwise ring road. We turned right onto Lichfield Street and we ran down the hill to joiners Square. We ran forwards onto Victoria Road and we ran through the private road on which the swimming baths are situated. At the end we turned left onto City Road and right into Smithpool Road. We turned left onto Temple Street past the new building under construction and back to the residential unit. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was in residential and he was going to his day service. He was also going to see Grandma later on and going to the pub and returning to Blurton for the weekend. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Outside we saw Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX.

When it was time to go out we saw it was on Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Christcurch Street. We turned left onto Coty Road and we ran down the hil into Stoke. We went under the railway line and turned left onto the Southbound A500. We ran down to Sideway and we joined the Eastbound A50. We ran Eastwards for nearly 40 miles and at the big roundabout we went East onto the A453. After passing East Midlands Parkway we turned right onto West Leake Lane. In West Leake we turnmed left and we ran through East Leake. At Costock we turned left onto the Northbound A60 and we ran up to Bradmore and parked up at the garden centre. We saw Ladyline Coaches RIL 1017. Matthew went to the toilet and went to the soft play area. For dinner Matthew had sausage, chips and gravy and a can of Coke. We returned to Fenton on Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We set off onto the Southbound A60 and we turned right at Costock. We ram through East Leake into West Leake and we turned right to head up to the A453. At the main road we went Westbound to the M1 roundabout and we oined the Westbound A50. We ran Westwards for close to 40 miles and we came off the A50 at Longton. We wennt past the old Z Carz spare bround and we turned right onto Baths Road. We went past Longton Transport Interchange and we turned left under the railway line onto King Street. We ran through Foley into Fenton and forwards onto City Road. We turned left at Smithpool Road and we turned left at Temple Street. We got up and got off the bus and went upstairs to his room. I was already waiting for him amd we got ready and went down to the car to go to Blurton. Just before 15:00 we set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street. We turned right onto Station Bridge Road and we continued onto Heron Street. We went through the traffic lights and we crossed over the A50 and we saw First Potteries 67152 on a #23A to Newstead. We continued through Blurton along Blurton Road. We turned right onto Church Street. We turned right onto Beaconsfield Drive. We got home around 15:15. When we got home Matthew had toast and Irn Bru. Today we were catching the 15:56 to Newcastle as we were going to the pub via Grandma's House. We set off around 15:45 on foot to the bus stop all the way onto Magdalen Road. Near to the pub we saw The Terrace LDV minibus BF52 MSV.

We walked down onto Magdalen Road and to the bus stop. Whilst we waited for the bus we saw Keith's Travel YC62 VPU going towards Trentham.

Whilst at the bus stop we saw First Potteries 67661 on a #22 to Longton.

A few minutes later the bus appeared around the corner and it was First Potteries 67632 on a #22 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off onto the A5035 and we saw blue minibus BX54 YFF on Crowcrofts Road. We went over the railway line into Trentham and we saw Destination Courtesy Travel DS15 ABX. We turned right into New Inn Lane and we were passed by First Potteries 41496 on a #21A to the Hanley. We continued up the road and we were passed by First Potteries 43875 on a #21 to Trentham Gardens. We ran up the hill into Hanford. Due to roadworks in Hanford instead of turning left into Wilson Road we ran down Mayne Street down to the A34. We crossed under the A500 and we saw First Potteries 67653 on the final #22 turn. We turned right into Harpfields Road and forwards on Hilton RoadAs we travelled through the hospital we saw A1 Embassy MA59 KME & E-zec patient transport YN15 FEO. We turned right onto the A34 and saw First Potteries 67639 on a #25 to Hanley. A couple of stops down the road we got up and got off the bus. Matthew took another pictue of First Potteries 67632 before it carried on to Newcastle.

Once off the bus we crossed over the road we headed up the hill to Grandma's House. At Grandma's Matthew had a can of Irn Bru and used her computer. Grandad returned home from watching football and he then gave us a lift to the pub. Around 18:00 we set off onto Victoria Street and we saw white minibus YK08 PVA. We turned left onto the A34. As we past the hospital we saw First Potteries 67602 on a #25 to Keele. We continued into Trent Vale and Grandad dropped us of at the pub. As we said goodbye to grandad we saw Secure Cars LK16 MFV.

We met up with uncle Dave and we went into the pub. Matthew had a brunch with oatcakes followed by toffee sponge pudding with custard. Whilst we ate highlights of the passing buses included D&G 119 runing out of service. We also saw First Potteries 65728 on a #101 to Hanley. When we had finished eating we went outside to catch a bus back. As we went around the corner to the bus stop we saw Shearing 723 going Southwards. We srtood at the bus stop and we only had to wait a couple of minutes and we saw a Dart approaching. As it got closer we saw that it was First Potteries 41502 on a #21 to Trentham.

We got on the bus and we booked to Trentham before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off onto the A34 and we crossed under the A500 into Hanford. We turned left onto Curch Lane and we saw white minibus BU07 KGV in the yard at the bottom of the hill. We turned right onto Wilson Road and at the end we turned left onto New Inn Lane. We entered Trentham amd we ran down the hill to the Man in Space where the bus terminated. We got up and got off the bus and Matthew took another picture of First Potteries 41502 before it ran back empty to the depot.

As that was the last bus we had to walk all the way back to Blurton. We set off on foot along New Inn Lane and we turned left onto the A5035. We saw the old Nat West bank which has closed and is now up for sale. At the bus stop outside the Trentham Hotel Matthew bumped into one of his carers from his residential unit who was waiting for a bus. We informed her that it was a Saturday service and that there wasn't another one! We walked with then as far as the other care home and we crossed over the raileay line into Blurton. We walked past the pub and Stanley Matthew Way. We eventually got home around 19:45. Matthew chilled out on his computer and we composed a few e-mails and sorted a few things out.
