Trip to Fenton / Newcastle 31-08-2018

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. Matthew was returning to Blurton for the weekend. He was also going to visit Grandma and going to the pub for tea. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Whilst waiting to go we saw First Potteries 32648 on a #11 to Newcastle. In the morning Matthew did some baking. He made chocolate cake. For dinner Matthew had a McDonalds burger & fries washed down with a cup of Coke. In the afternoon Matthew walked to the pub. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned right into Christchurch Street. We stopped at the pub and Matthew went to the toilet. He had a glass of Coke and he chilled out in the pub all afternoon. When we had finished we set off along Christchurch Street where we saw First Potteries 67153 on a #23 to Newstead.

We turned left into Temple Street and Matthew went upstairs to the residential unit to wait for me to come and pick him up. I arrived around 14:30 and we got ready to go back to Blurton. Once we were ready we went downstairs and out of the residential unit. We got in the car and we drove onto Temple Street. We turned right onto Christchurch Street and right onto Station Bridge Road. We followed the road around onto Heron Street and into Heron Cross where we saw First Potteries 67154 on a #23 to Hanley. We went through the traffic lights and forwards onto Blurton Road. We saw Lightning Travel MX54 VVF at the lightning House. We continued through Blurton and we turned right onto Church Street. We turned right onto Beaconsfield Drive. We got home around 15:10. When we got home Matthew had toast and a small bottle of Coke. Today we were catching the 15:56 to Newcastle as we were going to the pub via Grandma's House. We set off around 15:45 on foot to the bus stop all the way onto Magdalen Road. Whilst we waited for the bus to Newcastle we saw First Potteries 67660 on a #22 to Longton.

A few minutes later we saw a bus come around the corner. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 63176 on a #22 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle and sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off onto the A5035. We went over the railway line into Trentham. We turned right into New Inn Lane and we ran up the hill passing First Potteries 67154 on a #21 to Trentham. into Hanford. We turned right into Wilson Road and we ran down Church Lane We continued down onto the A34 and First Potteries 67636 on the final #22 turn. We crossed under the A500 and we into Trent Vale and we saw Stoke City Academy BL66 YRN heading towards Trentham. We turned right into Harpfields Road and we continued forwards on Hilton Road and we turned into the hospital. Due to a diversion we turned sharp left and went past the A&E department. We ran down the hill towards the A34 and we saw First Potteries 32648 on a #25 to Hanley and ABC Supreme HV18 GVR. We continued past the Clinical Education Centre. We turned right onto the A34. A couple of stops down the road we got up and got off the bus. Matthew took another picture of First Potteries 63176 as it carried onto Newcastle.

We crossed over the A34 and we walked up the hill to Grandma's house. At Grandma's Matthew had a can of Irn Bru and used her computer. When it was time to go we went to the pub in the car. We set off just after 17:40 and we ran down Victoria Street. We turned left onto the A34 and we saw ABC Supreme ST56 MUE coming out of the hospital. We continued southwards into Trent Vale. We carried on down the A34 and we went into the pub car park. We saw Destination Courtesy Travel YE17 AHA park up briefly before continuing on it's journey.

Matthew had a brunch with oatcakes followed by toffee sponge pudding with custard. Whilst we ate highlights of the passing buses included D&G 110 running empty towards the depot and E-zec patient transport OU18 CEO going Southwards and First Potteries 63096 on a #101 to Hanley. Once we had finished eating we set off to uncle Dave's to pick him up. We ran down the A34 and we joined the A500 at Hanford. We went North up the A500 to Sideway following white minicoach YN56 DYV and we went Eastwards along the A50. We came off the A50 at Heron Cross. We dropped down into Fenton to pick uncle Dave up. Once we had picked him up we ran up to Heron Street and we crossed over the A50. We continued into Blurton along Blurton Road. We turned right onto Church Road and we turned right into Beaconsfield Drive. We got home around 19:30. Matthew chilled out on his computer and we composed a few e-mails and sorted a few things out. Later on we dropped mum off on her night out. We set off onto the A5035 and we ran though Blurton to Dresden. We turned right onto the B5038 and right onto Lightwood Road. We veered left onto Gravelly Bank and we crossed over the A520 onto Grange Road. We turned left onto the B5029 and left onto Whitestone Road. We turned left onto Lysander Road and we turned right to pick up mum's friend. We continued back onto Lysander Road and we turned left onto the A50. We ran up to Sideway and we got onto the Southbound A500. At Hanford we turned left onto the A34 and left onto Church Lane. We turned right onto Wilson Road and we dropped off mum and her friend. We rejoined Wilson Road and we turned right onto Mayne Street. We turned left onto the A34 and we ran into Trentham. We turned left onto the A5035 and we crossed over the railway line into Blurton. We got home around 21:15. We then chilled out on the sofa doing e-mails and writing the until bedtime around 01:00... Mark

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. It was the first day of the new X1 Express Service to Manchester. Matthew was also going out for tea with mum and dad. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. Across the road we saw First Potteries 67154 on a #23 to Hanley. In the yard was Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX.

A short while later we saw dud Harry Shaws TIL 6715. We walked to the day centre. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street and to the day centre. In the morning we went to Crackley. Transport for the day was Destination Courtesy Travel YE17 AHA. We set off onto Glebedale Road and we continued onto Station Bridge Road and we crossed over the railway line. We ran forwards Heron Street and we went through Heron Cross. We turned right onto Grove Road and we went forwards onto Whieldon Road. We ran down under the railway line and the A500 and we joined the North bound A500. We ran through Stoke and up to Etruria where we turned left onto the A53. We ran through glorious Basford to Newcastle and we went around the one-way system onto the ring road. At the end of Ryecroft we turned right onto the A34 and up past the old First bus depot. We ran North Through Cross Heath and towards Parkhouse industrial estate. After the roundabout we turned left onto the pub car park. Matthew went to the toilet and then had a glass of Coke. For dinner Matthew had a brie and bacon burger with chunky chips followed Lemon meringue pie. When we had finished eat we got back in Destination Courtesy YE17 AHA to return to Fenton. We came out of the car park and we went North up the A34. We turned right onto the Southbound A500 and we ran down through Longport and Etruria to Stoke. We came off the A500 and we joined City Road. We went under the railway line and up the hill. We turned right onto Smithpool Road and then left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to wait for us to arrive. We saw Stoke-on-Trent city council welfare bus LK17 DXC going towards Heron Cross.

A short while later we came to pick Matthew up to go out for tea. After spending some time getting ready we went out to the car. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto City Road and we ran down the hill onto the A52. We ran down the hill under the railway line and over the A500 into Stoke town centre. We ran around the one-way system and we ran up Hartshill Road through Hartshill. We continued along the A52 to the edge of town and we turned right into Albert Street. At the traffic light we turned right onto A53 and we stopped at the pub. Matthew went to the toilet and then we found mum who had saved us a table. I ordered the food and Matthew had a glass of Coke whilst we waited. The food arrived and Matthew had a burger and fries. He also helped us eating the some of the meat and sausage on our mixed grills. Whilst we ate we saw First Potteries 67152 on a #4 to Audley. For dessert Matthew had Chocolate fudge cake and ice cream. After we had finished eating we left the pub and went to the car. We turned left onto the A53 and ran through Basford down to Etruria where we saw The Travellers Choice coach FN63 PXB on a #333 to Blackpool. We turned left onto the A500 and we followed Reeseheath College YN15 ELU Southwards. We came of the A500 in stoke and we turned left onto City Road. An we ran up the hill into Fenton. We turned left onto the private road on which the baths are situated and we dropped mum off outside the baths. We turned around and we ran back to City Road. We turned left and we turned right into Smithpool Road. We turned left Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We went up to Matthew's room and we wrote some of the Blog. After doing a couple of entries I left and Matthew chilled out in his room watching television and using his computer. Later on Matthew emptied his bin into a bin bag. had a bath and then had toast for supper. Later on Matthew He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was in residential and he was going to his day service. He was also going out for a trip on the bus. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. Across the road we saw First Potteries 67604 on a #11 to Newcastle. Around 09:00 we set off on foot to the day centre. We walked onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street and to the day centre. At the day centre we saw Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX parked outside.

In the morning Matthew went on the computer. For dinner Matthew had a ham sandwich followed by a Bakewell tart. In the afternoon Matthew went to Longton to do some shopping. we set off on foot onto Glebedale Road and across City Road. At the top we crossed over Victoria Road to wait for the bus at the bus stop. A few minutes later the bus turned up and it was dud First Potteries 63177 on a #6A to Blythe Bridge. We got on the bus and we booked to Longton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off up City Road and forwards onto King street we saw First Potteries 63096 on a #11 to Newcastle. We ran through Foley and under the railway line into Longton town centre. The bus stopped on Market Street and we got up and got off the bus. we saw First Potteries 41494 on a #13 to Hanley. Once off the bus we crossed over Market Street and onto Transport Lane. We went into the Bennett Precinct and out the other side into the car park. We then we into the Strand. We crossed over the road and went into Lidl. Matthew did his food shopping and then waited on the strand We walked up The Strand and we waited at the bus stop. A few minutes later the bus appeared and it was First Potteries 42552 on a #6A to Hanley. We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down The Strand and we ran under the railway line onto King Street. City Road. After crossing over the first roundabout we turned right at the next one onto Victoria Road where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we walked onto City Road we saw First Potteries 63097 on a #11 to Newcastle. and down onto Glebedale Road. When we got back to the day centre. When it was time to go back to the residential unit Matthew set off on foot onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew then chilled out in his room on his computer and watching buses out of the window we saw Destination Courtesy Travel YE17 AHA. When it was time to go to the doctor we set off on foot onto City Road and we walked up to the doctor. Matthew went in and had a few tests. He turned out to be fine. On the way back to the residential unit we saw First Potteries 63178 on a #11 to Hanley.

We then went out for tea in Tunstall in a Z Carz minibus. We saw it was Z Carz CE02 LYX. We got on the bus and sat down and we set off along city Road and down the hill to the A52. We ran under the railway line and we turned right onto the Northbound A500. We ran up to the A527 and we ran Eastwards around the top end of Tunstall towards Pitts Hill. We stopped at the pub and Matthew went the toilet then had a glass of Coke. For tea Matthew had bacon and cheese burger followed by a chocolate fudge cake and ice cream. When it was time to go back to Fenton we returned on Z Carz CE02 LYX. We set off along the A527 around the North end of Tunstall and we ran down to the A500. We travelled southwards to Stoke and we cams off the A500 onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and up City Road before turning right onto Smithpool Road. We turned left onto temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went back to the room and went on his computer. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was in residential and he was going to his day service. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Whilst waiting to go to the day service we saw red minibus YN52 MZF.

Around 09:00 we set off on foot to the day centre. We walked onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street and to the day centre. At the day centre we saw Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX parked outside

In the morning went to Hanley on the bus. We set off on foot onto Glebedale Road and across City Road. At the top we went around the corner onto Victoria Road to wait for the bus at the bus stop. A few minutes later the bus turned up and it was unusually First Potteries 32647 on a #6A to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we went upstairs. We set off down Victoria Road and we crossed over the A52 at Joiners Square. We ran up Lichfield Street and we crossed over the ring road. We then got up and got off the bus at the stop outside the bus station. Once we got off the bus we went inside the bus station to wait for the next #23 to Stoke. Whilst we waited we decided to walk into town to visit Wright's Pies We set off on foot onto Tontine Street and we walked up to the square where the pie shop was situated. From the shop Matthew had a Manchester Tart. We walked back along Tontine Street down through Hanley to the Brewers Fayre pub. Matthew had a burger and fries followed by by a lemon meringue pie. Matthew had a drink of Coke and then went to the toilet. We walked back up to Stafford Street and we went back to the bus station. A few minutes later the bus appeared and it was First Potteries 67159 on a #21 to Trentham.

A few minutes later we spotted First Potteries 41499 on a #23 to Newstead, which we decided to do. We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station and onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We crossed over the ring road and we ran down onto Regent Road and forwards onto Cleveland Road. We ran down though Shelton along College Road and we ran down to the railway station. We turned left onto Station Road and we ran part the railway station before going right onto Glebe Street. After a brief stop we continued forwards onto Glebe Street where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus. We set off along Glebe Street and we walked around the corner onto Church Street to the One Stop Shop. We couldn't get a bus pass here so we went to Bentilee. We crossed the road to wait for the next #11. A few minutes later it appeared and it was First Potteries 63173 on a #11 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Bentilee before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Church Street and we crossed over the A500. We ran under the railway line and we climbed up the hill and over the old railway line to Leek. We ran through Foley and we under the railway line into Longton town centre. We stopped outside the old job centre as the #11 no longer calls in the Interchange. We ran up Market Street and we turned left onto Anchor Road. We turned right onto Sutherland Road and we passed blue minibus GN03 MTZ. We turned left onto Weston Coyney Road and we ran up the bank. half way up the bank we turned left onto Farnworth Road. we jinked onto Lindburn Road and we ran to the end turning right onto Amison Street. At the end of the street we turned right onto Anchor Road. We ran up the hill to the top and ran down to the roundabout in Adderley Green. At the roundabout at the East end of Bentilee we turned right onto Beverley Drive and then left onto Dawlish Drive. We ran to the end and we turned left onto Beverley Drive where we got up and got off the bus. We walked down to the Bentilee neighbourhood Centre and we got a bus pass from there. Once we had the bus pass we returned to the road to catch a bus to Hanley. A few minutes later it appeared and it was First Potteries 63172 on a #11A to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off up Beverley Drive At the end we turned right onto Dividy Road and we ran down the hill to Bucknall. We turned left onto the A52 and we ran to limekiln lights and we went across onto Bucknall New Road. We climbed the hill up to Hanley and we joined the clockwise ring road. We ran around to Lichfield Street and we turned right to pull up outside the stop adjacent to the bus station. We got up and got off the bus and we walked into the bus station. Once we got off the bus we walked down to the Smithfield to go a get a bus pass. We walked down Adventure place and past the museum to the new building. We were finally able to get a bus pass. We crossed over the ring road and we went to the shop on the corner of Hinde Street car park and we went to the pet shop to see some animals. Afterwards we went to Hanley Museum to see the natural history display. We then returned onto Bethesda Street and up John Street to the bus station. Matthew went to the toilet in the bus station. We waited at the stand out the bus station to catch a bus to Fenton. A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 63179 on a #6A to Blythe Bridge.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off up Lichfield Street and we turned right into Birch Terrace. We followed the road around to the left onto Charles Street. At the top we turned right onto Old Hall Street before turning right onto the ring road. We turned left onto Lichfield Street and we ran down the hill to Joiners Square. We crossed the roundabout onto Victoria Road and we ran up the hill into Fenton. At the top of the hill we got up and got off the bus. One off the bus we set off on foot onto City Road and we turned left into Glebedale Road. When we got back to the day centre. When it was time to go back to the residential unit Matthew set off on foot onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew then chilled out in his room on his computer and watching buses out of the window we saw Destination Courtesy Travel YE17 AHA. Matthew had toast and can of Coke. tea was chicken nuggets and beans followed by Chocolate cake and custard. Matthew went to the room to watch buses whilst we saw Leek Link minibus YX53 CYZ.

Matthew went on his computer for a while and then he went out to the disco in a Lucky Seven taxi. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We crossed over City Road onto Manor Street and we ran ran to the end. We turned left onto Victoria road and we ran down the hill to Joiners sqaure. we crossed over the roundabout and onto Lichfield Street. We turned right onto Westmill Street. We turned left onto the A52 and we ran into Bucknall. We went forwards onto the A5009 and through Abbey Hulton. We turned left into Birches Head Road and to our destination. Matthew went to the toilet and then had a drink of Coke. Matthew did some dancing until it was time to return to the residential unit. Transport back was Lucky Seven minibus GJ11 ZXV.

We set off onto Birches Head Road and we turned right onto the A5009. We ran through Abbey Hulton and into Bucknall. We ran forwards onto the A52 and at joiners Square we turned left onto Victoria Road. We ran up the hill and we turned right into Manor Street. We turned right onto City Road and then left onto Smithpool Road. We turned left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. When Matthew got back he went up to his room. He used his computer and watched music videos on the Television. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.
