Trip to Fenton / Stoke 14-06-2017

Today Matthew was in residential and he was going to his day service. Matthew was also going to Stoke and going to see uncle Dave later. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Whilst waiting to go to the day service we saw First Potteries 67157 on a #11 to Hanley. Around 09:00 we set off on foot to the day centre. We walked onto Temple Street and right onto Christchurch Street. At the day centre we saw Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX.

In the morning Matthew walked down to Stoke. We set off onto Christchurch Street and we turned left onto Temple Street. At the end of Temple Street we turned right onto Smithpool Road. We turned left onto City Road and we saw Copeland's Tours MIB 746 going towards the swimming baths. We continued down the hill and under the railway line before we crossed over the A500 and went into Stoke town centre. On Church Street we saw D&G Bus 111 on 'the Orange ONE' service to Newcastle.

We then went to The Wheatsheaf and Matthew used the toilet. He then had a glass of Coke. Highlights of the bus sightings in the pub included First Potteries 32648 on a #25 to Keele. We then crossed over to Campbell Place and went to Wrights Pies and Matthew had a Manchester Tart. We then we back onto Church Street and we saw First Potteries 42553 on a #11 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Church Street and we crossed over the A500. We ran under the railway line and we climbed up the hill and over the old railway line to Leek. We got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we crossed over city road and walked up to Christchurch Street and back to the day centre, For dinner Matthew had a ham sandwich followed by a Manchester Tart. In the afternoon Matthew watched a DVD. when it was time to return to the residential unit we set off onto Christchurch Street and left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went up to his room to chill out and watch buses out of his window. We saw First Potteries 67604 on a #11 to Hanley.

Before tea Matthew went lout for a walk. We set off out of the unit onto City Road and we crossed over and walked down the hill to bus stop outside the baths. A few minutes later dud First Potteries 67159 made an appearance on a #23A to Newstead. We got on the bus and we booked to Smithpool Road before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set of up City Road and we turned right into Smithpool Road. We ran a few hundred yards and over the railway bridge and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bud we walked along Smithpool Road before turning right onto the footpath towards Mount Pleasant. We walked onto Willowdale Avenue and around the corner to uncle Dave's house. For tea Matthew had chicken potatoes and carrots. He then chilled out using uncle Dave computer and eating custard creams and drinking orange Tango. just after 19:00 staff from the residential unit came to escort Matthew back home. We set off onto Whieldon Road and we walked down the hill to Sutherland Street. We turned right onto Clarendon Street We crossed over the railway line over the footbridge and onto Hawkins Street. We followed the road aroun to the left onto Napier Street an we turned right onto Ashworth Street. We crossed over Smithpool Road and we turned right onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went to his room and chilled out for a while. later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.
