Trip to Fenton / Longton 10-09-2017

Today Matthew was in residential and he was going to his day service. He was also going out for a trip on the bus. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. Across the road we saw First Potteries 67159 on a #23 to Newstead. Around 09:00 we set off on foot to the day centre. We walked onto Temple Street and onto Christchurch Street. We onto City Road we saw First Potteries 63098 on a #11 to Hanley.

At the top we crossed over Victoria Road to wait for the bus at the bus stop. A few minutes later the bus turned up and it was dud First Potteries 63177 on a #6A to Blythe Bridge. We got on the bus and we booked to Longton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off up City Road and forwards onto King street We ran through Foley and under the railway line into Longton town centre. The bus stopped on Market Street and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we crossed over Market Street and onto Transport Lane we saw First Potteries 63179 on a #6 to Hanley. We went into the Bennett Precinct and out the other side into the car park. We then we into Wilko's where Matthew brought home accessories. We continued past Wilko and around B&B and we walked onto the Strand. We crossed over the road and went into Lidl. We walked up The Strand and we waited at the bus stop. A few minutes later the bus appeared and it was First Potteries 63101 on a #11 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down The Strand and we ran under the railway line onto King Street. We ran through Foley into Fenton and forwards onto City Road. As we approached the flat we got up and got off the bus. Matthew took a picture of First Potteries 63101 as it carried on towards Newcastle. Matthew walked back to the residential unit and then went out for dinner at the Moorland Inn in A1 Embassy LK13 BRU. We set off onto Temple Street and left onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto City Road and we ran down the hill to the A52. We went Eastwards towards the railway station and we carried on towards Joiners Square. We turned left onto Lichfield Street and we ran anti-clockwise around the ring road. We came off onto Town Road and we ran into Birches Head and onto the Northbound A5272. We ran through Sneyd Green up to Smallthorne and we turned left onto Moorland Road and we stopped at the pub. Matthew went to the toilet and then had a glass of Coke. For dinner Matthew had a BBQ chicken burger followed by a chocolate fudge cake with ice cream. Once we had finished we returned to Fenton. We set off onto the A5272 and we ran southwards to the edge of Hanley. We ran clockwise around the ring road and we turned left onto Lichfield Street. We ran down to Joiners square and we went right onto the A52. We ran into Stoke and we turned left onto City Road. We turned right onto Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went up to his room to chill out on his computer and watch buses. We saw silver minibus W917 NWG going towards Stoke.

For tea Matthew had cheese oatcakes followed by a butterfly cake. In the evening Matthew chilled out in his room watching television and using his computer. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.
