Trip to Hanley / Crewe 09-09-2017

Today Matthew was in residential and he was going to his day service. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. Across the road we saw First Potteries 63098 on a #11 to Hanley. Around 09:00 we set off on foot to the day centre. We walked onto City Road we saw First Potteries 43875 on a #11 to Hanley.

We continued up City Road and we walked up to the roundabout and around the corner onto Victoria Road to wait for the bus to Hanley. Whilst we waited we saw First Potteries 37146 on a #6 to Weston Coyney. A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 63099 on a #6 to Hanley. We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down. We set off down Victoria Road and we crossed over the A52 at Joiners Square. We ran up Lichfield Street and we crossed over the ring road. We then got up and got off the bus at the stop outside the bus station. Matthew took a picture of First Potteries 63099 before it returned on a #6A to Blythe Bridge.

We walked forwards onto Stafford Street and we saw D&G Bus 38 on the new #2 service to Westbury Park.

We walked around the corner onto Cheapside and down to Piccadilly. We walked down to pall mall and we turned left. We walked back along Cheapside and we went to Radio Stoke. Afterwards we walked down Pall mall and Piccadilly onto Bethesda Street where we saw First Potteries 67639 on a #7 to Kidsgrove.

Matthew went into the Potteries Museum and looked at the Spitfire. Once we had finished in the museum we went for dinner. We walked up Piccadilly and across Stafford Street up to Tontine Square. We walked around the corner onto Tontine Street and we cut through the alleyway onto Parliament Row. We went to McDonalds and Matthew went to the toilet. For dinner Matthew had a burger and fries washed down with a cup of Coke. We walked onto parliament Street and right onto Tontine Street and we crossed old Hall Street and into B&M to get shaver. We saw First Potteries 67643 on a #7A to Biddulph. We then went back to the bus station to wait for a bus back to Fenton. We saw First Potteries 63173 on a #3 to Crewe. We also saw First Potteries 43877 on a #12 to Bentilee.

A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 63176 on a #6 to Weston Coyney.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off up Lichfield Street and we turned right into Birch Terrace. We followed the road around to the left onto Charles Street. At the top we turned right onto Old Hall Street before turning right onto the ring road. We turned left onto Lichfield Street and we ran down the hill to Joiners Square. We crossed the roundabout onto Victoria Road and we ran up the hill into Fenton. At the top of the hill we got up and got off the bus. One off the bus we set off on foot onto City Road and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We turned right onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Back in his room Matthew chilled out on his computer and watched buses out of the window. We saw First Potteries 37156 on a #11 to Newcastle.

For tea Matthew went to a pub in Crewe on Shelton Care Group MX16 DHE. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto City Road and we ran down the hill onto the A52. We went under the railway line and then we turned right onto the Northbound A500. We ran north under the A34 and M6 and we wheeled around to the West. South of Crewe we turned right onto David Whitby Way. We turned left onto the A532 and we ran towards the railway station, stopping at the new Farmhouse Inns pub. Matthew went to the toilet and then had a glass of Coke. For tea Matthew had a burger and fries followed by Lemon Meringue Pie with custard. When Matthew had finished eating we returned to Fenton on Shelton Care Group MX16 DHE. We set off onto the A532 and we ran Eastwards along to the next roundabout. We ran Southwards down David Whitby Way and we turned left onto the Eastbound A500. We ran under the M6 and A34 and we continued Southwards into Stoke. We left the A500 onto the A52 and we ran under the railway line and onto City Road. we turned right onto Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went back up to his room to chill out and use his computer. Matthew then watched some television and used his computer. Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.
