Trip to Stafford / Rugeley 14-03-2026

Today we decided to re-visit Stafford. We asked Matthew bwhere he wanted to go on the Friday night and he chose Stafford. Research for the trip consisted of just checking the weather, which was for mainly dry with some sunshine and a few showers in the late afternoon. Mathew woke up at 08:00 and had his medication. Matthew got up just before 10:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. we got in the car Just before 12:00 and we set off through Blurton. We ran along Beaconsfield Drive and we turned left onto Church Road and at the roundabout we veered left onto Blurton Road. We ran through Blurton and into Heron Cross and over the A50. At Heron Cross lights we turned left onto Grove Road. We ran forwards onto Wheildon Road and we picked up uncle Dave. We continued down Wheildon Road and we joined the A500. We turned right onto City Road and right onto the Southbound A500. We ran down to Hanford and we joined the A34. We ran through Trentham and Tittensor and to the West of Stone. We continued through Aston-by-Stone and Creswell and we ran into the North end of Stafford. We ran towards the town centre we passed preserved Devon General TTT 781 on Wedding duties. We turned right onto Chell Road and left onto Broad Street and we parked on the cap aprk by the former Wilko store. We had planned on eating in the market, but as we turned into Broad Street we noticed that the Market and adjacent shopping centre had been demolished! After we parked up we stopped at the toilet block on Broad Street and Matthew went to the toilet. After we continued along Broad Street and forwards onto Stafford Street. We turned left onto Gaolgate Street and we stopped at the former Wetherspooms pub. Matthew had a breakfast washed down with a glass of Coke. When we had finished eating we went outside and we said goodbye to mum. We continued up Gaolgate Street and we turned right into the bus station. Matthew decided to catch a bus towards the hospital. Whilst we waited we saw Chaserider 5016 on a #74 to Cannock.

We waited for a few minutes and our bus appeared. As it got closer, we saw it was Chaserider 66 on a #828 to Lichfield.

We got on the bus and we booked to Rugleley before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station and we joined the A34 and we turned left onto Chell Road. After a brief stop we continued onto Tenterbanks and we headed onto Bridge Street. We ran through the town centre and we crossed over the A34 onto the Northbound A518. We ran out of town for around a mile and we entered the hospital grounds. We returned to the A518 and we turned right onto Hydrant Way. We turned left onto Tixall Road and we crossed over Blackheath Lane. We continued into Tixall and we turned right onto Mill Lane. We turned right onto Main Road and we ran throught Great Haywood. We continued South through Little Haywood into Colwich and we joined A51. We travek South for 1/2 a mile or so and we turned right onto the A460. We turned right onto Plovers Rose and right onto Springfields Road. We followed the road around onto Crabtree Way and we turned left onto Green Lane. We turned right onto the A460 and we ran into town. We turned left onto Elmore Lane and we entered Rugeley bus station where we decided to get up and get off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew took another picture of Chaserider 66 before it continued towards Lichfield.

Once off the bus we saw Bus Link 73 whiched we considered catching towards Cannock.

As we queued up to get on the bus we saw another bus pull up behind it. Matthew decided he was doing this bus. As we got closer we saw it was Chaserider 496 on a #63 to Uttoxeter.

We got on the bus and we booked to Uttoxeter. As the bus was empty, Matthew got a picture of the inside of Chaserider 496before we sat down towards the back bus.

We set off out of the bus station and onto the A460. We ran under the railway line and after about 1/2 mile we turned right onto Redbrook Lane. We continued onto Birch Lane and we turned left onto Coalpit Lane. We turned left onto the A460 and right onto Lodge Road. We turned left onto Lea Hall Lane and right onto Armitage Road. We crossed over the A51 and we ran forwards on to Rugeley Road. As we travelled East wards we realised if we went too far we would struggle to get back and woiuld not get many bus rides in so we decided to get off somewhere there was something to do. We passed a pub, so we decided to get up and get off at the next stop and walk back to the pub. Once off the bus, Matthew took another picture of Chaserider 496 before as it continued towards Uttoxeter.

As we came passed the pub we noticed there was a canal along side the road. SWe decided to head down a side street to get on the canal. We turned right onto Church Lane and a very friendly cat followed us along the lane. We followed the road to the right and we spotted some people at the side of the road and we asked how to get on the canal towpath. They directed us to the end of the lane and we followed a passageway through into a churchyard. We walked thrugh the churchyard and we climbed over a style and we crossed over the Trent and Mersey canal at bridge 60. We headed Westwards along the canal and we passed bridge 61. We passed the pub and we went through Armitage tunnel. We crossed under the A513. and we came up on the other side of the A513. We crossed over the road and we headed to the pub. When we got to the pub, we tried the door and it was locked!. We asked Matthew if he wanted to head back to Rugeley and got to a pub there and he agreed. We crossed over the road and we waited for a bus. The first bus due was Chaserider 66 on a #826 to Stafford. We decided to turn this down and wait for the following bus. This was report as being Bus Link 166 on the bustimes.org map. Whilst we waited Matthew shared a Galaxy Caramel with us. A few minutes later we saw the bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was Bus Link 34 on a #63 to Cannock.

We got on the bus and we booked to Rugeley before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off along the A513 and we crossed over the A51 onto Armitage Road. We turned left onto Lea Hall Lane. We turned right onto Lodge Road and left onto the A460. We turned right onto Coalpit Lane and we turned right onto Birch Lane. We turned right onto Redbrook Lane and left onto the A460. We ran the last 1/2 mile into Rugeley and under the railway line. We entered the bus station and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we headed through the beer garden and into the rear of the pub on Upper Brook Street. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards we headed to the bar, Matthew had a glass of Coke. We sat down at the table and we watched some of the Scotland - Ireland Six Nations rugby union game whilst we had our drinks. When we had finished our drinkd we headed out of the back of the pub to the bus station. We passed the old market hall which now appears to be a charity shop. We sat down and we waited for a bus to Stafford. Whilst we waited we saw Chaserider 52 on a #828A to Rugeley.

A couple of minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it turned the corner we saw it was Chaserider 191 on a #828 to Stafford.

We got on the bus and we booked to Stafford before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station and we turned right onto the Westbound A460. We turned left onto Green Lane and we ran through a housing estate. We turned right onto Crabtree Way and right onto Springfields Road. We rejoined the A460 and we at the roundabout we joined the Westbound A51. We turned left onto Moan Road and we ran through Colwich. We crossed under the railway line and we ran into Little Haywood. We ran into Great Haywood and we turned left onto Mill Lane. We turned left onto Tixall Road and we ran into Tixall. We ran into the new housing estate and we turned right onto Hydrant Way. We arrived at a roundabout and we turned left onto the A518. We turned right and we ran through the hospital and back onto the A518. We turned right onto Bridge Street and we turned right onto South Walls. We turmned left onto Cope Srteet an left onto Eastgate Street. We continued onto Salter Street and we turned left onto North Walls and entered the bus station from the East. The bus stoppped in the bus station and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew got another picture of Chaserider 191 before it worked a #74 to Cannock.

We decided to catch another bus as quick as possible. We turned and we saw a bus we could do. We saw it was Select Bus Services 25 on a #9 to Highfields.

We got on the bus and we booked to Highfields before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station and onto the roundabout. We turned left onto Chell Road and we stopped oppoite Sainsbury's. After a brief stop we continued to the rounabout and we ran onto the A5187 and we crossed over the river Sow. We stopped outside the railway station and we turned right onto the A518. We crossed over the railway line and we ran out of the town centre. We turned left onto West Way and we headed Southwards. We ran towards Rising Brook and we turned right onto Barnes Road where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew took a picture of Select Bus Services 25 as it continued back towards Stafford.

We decide to catch a different service bac. We walked back along Barnes Road and we turned right onto West Way. We followed the road around and we crossed over Rising Brook. We walked to the A449 and we turned left to head towards the bus stop. We saw Select Bus Services on a #875 to Cannock. At the bus stop we had a rummage in the trip bag and we found a very old looking fudge which Matthew ate. A few minutes later we saw the bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was Select Bus Services 10 on a #875 to Stafford.

We got on the bus and we booked to Stafford before we sat down towards the back of the bus. This Scania was a former Halton Transport bus and had "Halton Transport" sown into the leather seats. We set off up the A449 and we headed into town. We crossed over the railway line and we ran forwards onto Bridge Street and we turned right onto South Walls where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew took another picture of Select Bus Services 10 before it returned to the depot.

We turned left onto Cope Street an left onto Eastgate. As we walked us Eastgayte we spotted a few Select Bus Services vehicle on layover. We saw Select Bus Services 1 and 39 parked up. As we continued up Eastgate we were passed Chaserider 198 on a #828 to Stafford.

We continued onto Salter Street and we turned right onto Malt Mill Lnae and we crossed over North Walls and we headed into the car park. We met up with mum and we got in the car. Matthew had a McDonalds Apple Pie. We set off out of the car park and we ran onto the A34. We ran passed the bus station and we continued up the A34 and we ran out of town Northwards. We continued through Aston-by- Stone and we headed to the West of Stone. We stopped at the Walton roundabout and we parked up by the shops, Matthew and mum went to the shop and I went to the chip shop. Matthew bough a couple of small bottles of pop and a couple of chocolate bars. I returned to the car with the food and Matthew had his sausage chips and gravy. When I had finished eating we set off on B5026 and we turned left onto the A34. When Matthew finished his food he had a small bottle of Coke. We ran though Tittensor and Trentham and we continued up to Hanford. At the roundabout we turned right onto the A500. We ran up to Stoke and we turned right onto City Road. We turned right onto the A500 and we veered left onto Wheildon Road. We crossed over the canal and under the railway line. We stopped to drop off uncle Dave and we said goodbye. We set off onto Wheildon Road and past the former Regent pub which is now being set up as an Indian Restaurant. We ran forwards onto Grove Road and we saw green minibus R482 NDM parked up. We turned right onto Blurton Road and we crossed over the A50 and continued along Blurton Road. We stopped at Blurton Stores so that mum could pick up a parcel. Whilst we were stopped we saw Paul's of Soke Y29 POS heading towards Heron Cross. We continued through Blurton and we turned right onto Church Street. We turned right onto the A5035 and back to Blurton around 19:00. Matthew chilled out on his computer and we did some of the Blog. We also wrote a few emails and generally used the computer to entertain ourselves. We watched YouTube and Matthew got ready for bed. Matthew settled down around 00:00... Mark

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going out on the bus. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. After getting ready we went downstairs and we got in the car and we drove onto Temple Street and we saw Sporting Stars HX22 BLF. We turned right onto Smithpool Road onto we turned right onto City Road and we turned right onto the A50 link road and we joined the Westbound A50. We ran fast up to Meir and we came off the A50 onto Broadway. At the roundabout we turned right onto the A520 and we headed up the hill onto the B5066 and we ran through Spot Acre and we reached Hilderstone and Sandon and we turned left onto the Eastbound A51. We ran through Colwich and we passed to the North of Rugeley and we turned left onto Colton Road. We turned right onto the B5013 onto we ran through Hamley Heath and up the bank to Admaston. We turned left onto Newton Hurst Lane and we ran through Dapple Heath. We turned right onto Booth Lane and we ran through The Blyth ande turned right onto Blythe Bridge Bank and we ran through Kingstone and Loxley Greene ran through Willslock. We turned right onto the B5013 headed North and did a u-turn at the roundabout. We ran Southwards onto Quee Lane and we turned left onto Highwood Road ran through Highwood. We turned right onto the B5014 and we ran through Netherland Green. We continued through Marchington and we carried on along the A516 through Draycott. We turned right onto the B5234 and we ran through Newborough and into Bromley Wood and we turned right onto the B5014 and we ran through Abbots Baromley and we ran up to Mill Green and we ran up to Bromley Hurst. We continues into Blihbury and we turned left onto the A513. We turned right onto the A515 and we turned right onto the A51 for a short run before turning right into Brereton. As we descended the hill into Rugeley and as we joined the roundabout to go onto Elmore Lane we ran past the bus station and we saw Bus Link 73 on a #63 to Uttoxeter. We crossed onto Station Road and we turned right onto Power Station Road. We went to McDonalds and Matthew had a cup of coke. Once we had finished in McDonalds we set off up Power Station Road. We ran forwards onto the A51 and we continued out of town through Wolseley Bridge and Great Haywood. We continued through Weston and Sandon and we joind the A34 South of Stone. We ran to the West of Stone and past Darlaston Roundabout and the new petrol station. We continued through Titensor and Trentham and we turned left onto the Northbound A500. We turned right onto City Road and we ran under the railway line and up the hill into Fenton. We turned right onto Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew collected a few suypplies from the car and headed upstairs. He chilled out in his room and watched TV. We went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street. In the distance we saw Temple Street church minibus RX18 GZW. We carried on along Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We waited for a bus towards Hanley. We continued along Christchurch Street. We onto City Road and we saw Afford rent-a-car HJ23 USP outside there yard.

A few minutes later the bus turned up and it was First Potteries 67159 on a #23 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off down City Road and we joined the A52 to go under the railway line and over the A500. We continued onto Church Street and into the centre of Stoke. After a brief stop we continued around the one-way system onto Elenora Street and right onto Copeland street. We turned left onto Glebe Street and we went under the railway line before turning left onto Station Road. We went past the railway station ans we turned right onto College Road. After running the hill through Shelton we continued onto Cleveland Road and forwards onto Regent Road. We turned left onto Lower Bethesda Street and we crossed over the ring road onto Bethesda Street. We turned right onto John Street and once in the bus station we got up and we got off the bus. We crossed over Lichfield Street. We called for a Lucky Seven taxi. We got in the taxi and we set off down Lichfield Street and over the ring road and we continued down onto Etruria Road. We went under the A53 and we went forwards onto Festival Way. We walked through Ridgehouse Drive. We ran to the end and we parked up at Morrison's We went to the supermarket and we brought some Shopping. Outside of Morrisons and we got to Starbucks, but we decided to go for chips instead. After we had parked up we went into Poundland and we did some shopping. we continued along Ridgehouse drive and we went to Etruria Hall. Matthew had sausage chips and gravy washed down with a can of Coke. After we had finished we walked back onto Festival Way to catch a bus back to Hanley. The bus appeared and it was First Potteries 63103 on a #39 to Hanley. We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down. We set off along Festival Way and under the A53. We went forwards onto Etruria Road and we ran up the hill into Hanley. We crossed over Marsh Street and we ran forwards onto Trinity Street. At the top of the hill we turned right onto Stafford Street, past the town hall and Radio Stoke. We entered the bus station off Bagnall Street and we got up and got off the bus. Matthew took another picture of First Potteries 63103 as it carried on towards Westbury Park.

Whilst we waited for a bus back to Fenton. A few minutes later the bus appeared and it was First Potteries 67142 on a #11 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We turned left onto the ring road and left onto Lichfield Street and we turned right onto Birch Terrace. We followed the road around onto Charles Street and we turned right onto Old Hall Street. We crossed over the ring road onto Bucknall New Road. We ran down the hill through Limekiln lights. we turned right onto Dividy Road. We turned left onto Beverley Drive and right onto Dawlish Drive. We ran through the estate and back onto the A5272. We ran up to Adderley Green and we saw First Potteries 35678 parked in the garage. At the roundabout we turned right onto Anchor Road. system onto Commerce Street and right onto The Strand. After a brief stop we ran down the Strand and under the railway line onto King Street. We continued down through Fenton and forwards onto City Road. We went past KFC and we got up and got off at the Travers Court bus stop outside the block of flats. Once off the bus we walked onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went up to his room to use his computer and watch buses. He also ate the a bottle of Coke and a toffee Crisp. Later on Matthew had a bath and had toast for supper. Matthew went on his computer until bedtime around 23:00... Mark..

Trip to Warrington / Grappenhall 26-05-2018

Today we decided to re-visit Warrington. We asked Matthew where he wanted to go within around 50 miles and Matthew chose to go to Warrington. Matthew did his own research, visiting the Network Warrington website and downloading the map and sending to a phone by e-mail. We also checked the price of a day ticket. And we looked to see what Fairbrothers had in their current fleet. We checked the weather and it was for warm weather with sunny intervals with the chnace of an odd shower. Matthew got up around 09:30 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. We set off just before 12:00 onto the A5035 and we saw Stanton's of Stoke minibus NXJ 321 in a layby. We turned right onto Stanley Matthews Way and at the end we joined the Westbound A50. When we got to Sideway we joined the Northbound A500 which was very busy. There had been an accident on the Northbound M6 and traffic had diverted onto the A500. We needed petrol so we headed up the Wolstanton to go to the petrol statipon at Adsa. On the way to the petrol station we saw Glovers AIG 7450 & Club Travel CT04 BUS. We came off the A500 and we ran up to the petrol station. After filling up we returned to the Northbound A500. We came to a stand about 1 1.2 mils South of the M6. It took us around 20 minutes to get to the motorway. As we queues we saw Intercity OU59 EFH, Stanton's of Stoke TPY 245, Rosevile EJ61 VGZ, Edwards BX65 WCZ (#375), Yourbus 4028 (#550), Park's of Hamilton BV67 JYW( #570), Ausden Clark CRZ 6381, Selwyn's BX16 CKA(#323), Bruce's Coaches FN63 PWK(#532), Travel De Courcey FJ13 EAK, blue minibus BV67 KVW & white minibus GN60 EFZ. Eventually we got onto the Northbound M6 and it was busy but mving Well. As we travelled up to Junction 20A we saw an unidentified Weardale coach, Park's of Hamilton HSK 656(#540) & D Hurst N12 RFL. We came off the M6 onto the Northbound A50. As we travelled into town we saw Roseville BG07 XCN. After we crossed over the ship canal we turned left onto Station Road. We followed the road around onto Wash Lane and we joined the Westbound A5061. As we travelled through Latchford we noticed large crowds of people. We had decided to come to Warrintgon on the same day as a music festival. We continued into town and at the big roundabout that straddles the river Mersey we went Northwards onto Mersey Street. We turned left onto Midland Way and then we went past the bus station and into the car park for the Golden Square shopping centre. Once we had parked up we made our war through the shopping centre to the bus station. We stopped at the toilets and Matthew used the facilities. We decided to go and have dinner at Wetherspoons so we crossed over Winwick Street onto Scotland Road. As we approached Cockhedge Way we saw Network Warrington 194 on a shuttle service to the music festival.

We continued along the road the pub abd we got a table outside. It was extremely busy as people had come to get drinks before continuing to the festival. Mum placed an order using the Wetherspoons app and we waited outside for the food. Whilst we waited we saw quite a few buses go past. Highlights of the bus sightings included JM Travel coach P522 NMA gping Northwards.

For dinner Matthew had a chicked and beefburger in a bun with fries washed down with a glass of Coke. When we had finished eating we said goodbye to mum and we set off up Scotland Road back to the bus station. We enetered the bus station and we quickly looked for something we could catch. We spotted Network Warrington 89 on #21 Orford circular.

We decided to do this bus so we got on and bought Day tickets at £5.95 each before we sat down towards the rear of the bus. A quick consultation of the buses I travelled on revealed the bus to be dud. We had been on this bus into Leigh on the #19 back in August 2016. The bus set off along the bus station and turned around to head back onto Winwick Street. We went under the railway line past Warrington Central station and we saw Copeland's Tours MIB 293 on Rail Replacement work. At the roundabout we veered right onto Pinners Brow. We crossed over the A49 onto Orford Lane and we followed the road around a right hand bend. We turned left onto Orford Avenue and we followed the road to the right onto Norris Street. We turned left onto Hallifelds Road and we turned rihght onto Smiths Drive. At the roundabout we turned left onto the A50 and right onto Poplars Avenue. We ran the entire length of the Avenue which is about a mile long and we followed the road around a left hand bend onto Cotswold Road. We stopped outside some shops before continuing Southwards. We decided to stay on the bus until we reached the A49. We ran forwards onto Sandy Lane and at the next roundabout we turned right onto Northway. At the end of Northwards we turned right onto the A50 and then left onto the A49. We got up and got off the bus. Matthew took another picture of Network Warrington 89 as it continued back towards Warrington.

Once off the bus we consulted the electronic display which said that the next bus was due in around 3 minutes. Whilst we waited we spotted D Hurst N12 RFL going North towards Winwick.

A few minutes later we saw the bus approaching. It was required Network Warrington 68 on a #19 to Warrington.

We got on the bus and we flashed the day ticket to the driver before we sat down towards back of the bus. The bus was quite full as people were travelling down to the festival. It was quite lively journey as we travlled down thw A49 to the edge of town. We turned left onto PInners Brow and Left onto Winwick Street. Most of the revellers got off by the railway station as that is where one of the shuttles departed from. We ran under the railway line and we turned right into the bus station. We let the bus empty and Matthew took a picture inside Network Warrington 68 before we got off.

Once off the bus we decided to walk around the other side of the bus station to get a few bus pictures. We set off onto Winwick Street and we crossed over. We crossed over Crown Street and we crossed back over Winwick Street under the railway bridge to get to the bus station. We walked along the walkway and we looked at the buses on layover. We saw Network Warrington 207 on layover in between Cat services.

At the roundabout at the other end we saw Network Warrington 93 on a #21 to Orford.


Network Warrington 93 in Warrington Interchange
We saw that you could get back into the bus station at the other end by the car park. We entered the bus station and we went to look for something to catch. The was a Cat service about to go so we went over to have look. It was required Network Warrington 201 on a Cat6 service to Grappenhall via Stockton Heath.

We decided to do this bus. We got on and we flashed the day tickets to the driver before we sat down near to the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station and under the car park. We turnd left onto Leigh Street and right onto Sankey Street. We turned left onto Parker Street and past Warrintgon Bank Quay railway station where we saw Paul's of Stoke Y12 POS on a rail replacement service. We turned right onto Sluchers Lane and left onto Centre park Square. We continued onto a roundabout and forwards onto the A49. We headed Southwards into Stockton Heath and we crossed over the A56. We turned left onto Dingleway and at the end we turned left onto Bridge Lane. We turned left onto Lumb Brook Lane. We turned right onto the A56 and we ran Eastwards. We had a brief stop at a bus stop and we saw that the bus in front was empty so Matthew took a picture inside Network Warrington 201.

We continued Eastwards for a short while and we turned left onto East View. We turned left onto the A50 and at the next stop we got up and got off the bus. We sat at the bus stop and waited for the next cat5 back to Warrington. Whilst we waited we saw Robinsons FN04 JZV on a Holiday trip returning from Tenby.

The bus was running a ltiile late. Whilst we waited Matthew ate a packet of Milky Stars whilst we waited for the bus. The Cat5 appeared running just in front of the following Cay6 service. As it got closer we saw that it was required Network Warrington 206.

We got on the bus and we flashed the day ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off along the A50 and we ran forwards onto Hunts Lane. We ran forwards onto Ackers Road and we turned right onto the A56. We turned left onto Lumb Brook Road and right onto Bridge lane. We turned right onto Dingleway and at the end we turned right onto the A49. We ran Northwards into Stockon Heath and up to the edge of town. We past the Nework Warrington bus depot and the adjacent coach depot and we ran forwards onto park Boulevard. We crossed over Centre Park Square and we turned right onto Slutchers Lane. We turned right onto Parker Street and we saw D Hurst N12 RFL outside the railway station. We turned right onto Sankey Street and left onto Leigh Street. We turned right and we ran under the car park and into the bus station from the West end. We ran to the roundabout on Winwick Street and we turned around and cam back into the bus station. We got up and got off the bus and Matthew went to the toilet. We saw required Network Warrington 155 on layover and we hoped that it might work, but it was in between runs on the shuttle. It had gone 17:00 so we needed to catch another bus quickly. We walked to the other end of the bus station and we saw required Network Warrington 73 on a #21 to Orford.

We got on the bus and we flashed the ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off along the bus station and turned around to head back onto Winwick Street. We went under the railway line past Warrington Central station. At the roundabout we veered right onto Pinners Brow. We crossed over the A49 onto Orford Lane and we followed the road around a right hand bend. We turned left onto Orford Avenue and we followed the road to the right onto Norris Street. We turned left onto Hallifelds Road and we turned rihght onto Smiths Drive. At the roundabout we turned left onto the A50 and right onto Poplars Avenue. We ran the entire length of the Avenue which is about a mile long and we followed the road around a left hand bend onto Cotswold Road. We decided to get up and get off the bus. Matthew took another picture of Network Warrington 73 as it continued back towards Warrington.

Once off the bus we decided to visit the Co-operative food store and do some shopping. Matthew had a couple of small bottle of Coke as well as a couple of chocolate bars. We went out to the stop and a few minute later we saw a required bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was Network Warrington 211 on a #21 to Warrington.

We got on the bus and we flashed the ticket to the driver for the final time today before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We ran forwards onto Sandy Lane and at the next roundabout we turned right onto Northway. At the end of Northwards we turned right onto the A50 and then left onto the A49. We continued Southwards to Jubilee Way and we ran down to The Orford Centre. After passing the bus stop we returned to the A49. We turned left onto PInners Brow and Left onto Winwick Street. We ran under the railway line and we turned right into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Matthew went to the toilet and we decided to take a few picture before meeting uo with mum. We walked clockwise around the bus station to the layover lane and we saw Network Warrington 195 which had been working on shuttle services earlier in the day.

Also seen was Arriva NW&W 3047 on layover in between #7's to Liverpool.

We crossed over Winwick Street and Crown Street and we turned left onto Scotland Road. We walked towards the pub and we waited on the wall for mum to come and pick us up. Whilst we waited we saw First Manchester 37442 on a #100 to Manchester.

Due to road layout mum was unable to get to us easily, so we ended up walk down Scotland and around the corner onto Buttermarket. We got in the car and mum was waiting with some doghnuts and a can of Irn Bru for Matthew. We set off onto Academy Street and the sat-nav sent us down Bridge Street. This was not a through road for car so we returned onto Friars gate and left onto Barbauld Street. We crossed over the big roundabout and we exited town along the A5061. We past the festiavl site and we continued through Latchford. We crossed over the ship canal and we ran forwards onto the A50. We joined the M6 at Junction 20A and we ran Sluthwards into Staffordshire. Travelling home along the M6 we saw Coastal Coaches BF67 WKG, Copeland's Tours MIB 293, Springfields F13 HOW, Alfa 80 & Rotala Hallmark 11524. We came off the M6 at junction 16 and as we travelled Southwards we saw Ace Travel SF11 HZE parked in the first layby. We ran into Stoke-on-Trent and at Sideway we joined the Eastbound A50. We came off the A50 at Longton and we turned left onto Baths Road. We turned right into tesco and we filled up with petrol. Once we had filled up we ran along the hight level of the A50 and around past the site of the new Lidl. We came off the A50 and we went to check out what was at Z carz this evening. There was nothing on the spare ground so we turned left into Willow Row. The only bus we could see was Z Carz blue minibusn BN61 RWK parked up behind a car.

We went West along the A50 to Heron Cross and we turned left onto Blurton Road. By the BP garage we saw Alfa 64. We continued up to Church Road and we turned right into Beaconsfield Drive and we got back home at 19:30. When we got back for a late tea Matthew had sausage chips and gravy followed by a hortbread snack biscuit. We did an e-mail and we wrote some of the Blog. Matthew went to bed around 02:00.... Mark.
