Trip to Fenton / Trent Vale 15-07-2016

Today Matthew was going to the pub for his tea, but not before he had been to his day service. We had just found out that GHA had gone into administration. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Just before 09:00 his transport to his day service turned up and it was Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU.

We got on the bus and we sat down. We set off down to the A5035 and we ran over the railway line into Trentham. We turned right into New Inn Lane and we picked up another service user. We returned onto New Inn Lane and we turned left onto the A5035. We came back into Blurton and we turned left onto Church Road. At the roundabout we turned left onto Blurton Road. We joined the Eastbound A50 and we then turned left onto the A50 link Road and we ran up to City Road. We turned left and we ran to Glebedale Road and turned left and to our destination. In the morning Matthew did some baking. He made cup cake which his covered in icing and edible Star Wars pictures. We then went to JTF. We set off onto City Road and we saw Wint's coach FL02 ZXV. We walked up to the roundabout where we turned left and into the shop. In the shop Matthew brought some Coke. Afterwards we went to MacDonalds. We walked down City Road and turned right at Manor Street. We turned left onto Victoria Road and we walked down to Macdonalds. Matthew went to the toilet and then had a beefburger and fries and a drink of Coke. After we had finished eating we walked back up Victoria Road and we turned right into Manor Street. At the end of Manor Street we turned left onto City Road. We crossed over and walked over the car park and to our destination. After we got back to Fenton we got on the bus for the journey home. It was Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU. We set off onto Glebedale Road and we turned right onto City Road. At the roundabout we turned right onto the A50 link road and then onto the Eastbound A50 and we saw Wint's FN52 MZV. We came off the A50 at Meir and we turned left onto the A520. We turned right onto Leason Road and we went through Meir Square onto South Walk. At the end we turned left onto Colclough Road and right onto Stanton Road. At the end of Stanton Road we turned left onto the A520. At Meir we turned right onto the A50 and we ran down to Heron Cross. We turned left onto Blurton Road and we ran through Blurton onto Church Road. We turned right onto Beaconsfield Drive and they beat me home, so we did another loop around Finstock Avenue and Beaconsfield Drive. Matthew got home just before 15:00. Matthew had toast and a drink of dandeliion & burdock whilst he waited for the time to go out and catch the bus. Today we went to catch the 16:26 to Newcastle. We set off on foot to the bus stop all the way onto Magdalen Road. We had seen the turn earlier in the day and it was booked to be dud First Potteries 67634. Whilst we waited we saw First Potteries 67631 on a #22 to Longton.

A few minutes later the bus turned the corner and as expected it was dud First Potteries 67634.

We got on the bus and we booked to Harpfields Road before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We turned right onto the A5035 and we crossed the railway into Trentham. We turned right into New Inn Lane and we saw First Potteries 41521 on a #21A to Hanley outside the Man in Space. We climbed the hill into Hanford and we turned right into Wilson Road. At the end of Wilson Road we turned left onto Church Lane and we ran down the hill to the A34. We crossed under the A500 into Trent Vale. Just before we turned we saw First Potteries 67603 on a #22 to Longton. We turned right into Harpfields Road where we got up and got off the bus. Matthew took another picture of First Potteries 67634 before it carried on towards Newcastle.

We headed back onto the A34 and we walked to the pub and we saw freshly re-painted First Potteries 65042 on a #101 to Hanley. Mum Was already parked at the pub so we went straight inside. Matthew had a brunch with oatcakes followed by toffee sponge pudding with ice cream. Whilst we ate highlights of the passing buses included First Potteries 65034 on a Stafford Bound #101 service, Stanton's of Stoke yellow minibus PSU 988 going North as well as ABC Supreme E331 EYC on a South bound shuttle. When it was time to go we got in the car to go home. We went South down the A34 to Trentham and we turned left onto the A5035. We went over the railway line into Blurton and we got home around 18:00. After Matthew spoke with uncle Dave we decided to get him for a couple of hours as they hadn't seen each other since Sunday. We dropped some stuff off at the house from the car and then we went onto Beaconsfield Drive. We turned left onto Church Road and we followed the road around onto Blurton Road. Se ran down through Blurton and we stopped at the shop to drop mum off. We continued to Heron Cross and we dropped down into Fenton to pick uncle Dave up. Once we had picked him up we ran back up to Heron Cross and over the A50. We ran into Blurton and we picked mum back up before turned right into Church Road and right again onto Beaconsfield Drive. We saw First Potteries 53830 on the late #22 turn to Longton. We got home around 18:30. Matthew chilled out on his computer and we sorted things out. Just before 21:00 I took uncle Dave home and Matthew stayed home on his computer. When I got back we ate one of Matthew's cakes and we chilled out on the sofa until bedtime around 00:00... Mark

Today Matthew was going to visit grandma, but not before he had been to his day service. Matthew got up around 08:00. He got dressed and had a giant crumpet and orange juice for breakfast. Just before 09:00 his transport to his day service turned up and it was Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU.

We set off onto the A5035 and we went over the railway line and into Trentham. We turned right into New Inn Lane and we picked up another service user before. We rejoined the A5035 and we ran over the railway into Blurton before turning left into Church Road. We ran down through Blurton along Blurton Road and we saw Fiat/Mellor demonstrator SF65 AUA. We crossed the A50 and we went straight onto Heron Street and over the railway line into Fenton. We headed straight onto Glebedale Road and reached our destination. In the morning Matthew spent his time on the computer. For dinner Matthew had cheese oatcakes. In the afternoon Matthew went swimming. We set off on past the Co-operative Food store onto City Road and we walked down to the private road on which the swimming baths is situated. On the way down the road we saw Anytime Airport minibus PE11 RWY.

Matthew went swimming and then had a drink of Coke. We returned to the day centre in a Intercity taxi. We ran along the private road and we turned left onto City Road. We turned right onto Glebedale Road and to the day centre. When it was time to go home Matthew climbed aboard Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU. We set off onto Christchurch Street and we turned right onto Station Bridge Road, We followed the road around onto Heron Street and we went through the traffic lights and over the A50 on Blurton Road. We went through Blurton and we followed the road around to the right onto Church Road. At the end we turned right onto the A5035 and we ran over the railway line into Trentham. We turned right into New Inn Lane and we dropped off another service user before we returned onto New Inn Lane. We returned along the A5035 over the railway line into Blurton. Matthew got home just before 15:00. Matthew had toast and orangeade whilst he waited for the time to go out and catch the bus. Today we went to catch the 16:26 to Newcastle. I had seen the turned earlier and it was booked to be First Potteries 67601. We set off to the bus stop all the way over on Magdalen Road. When we got to the bus stop we saw First Potteries 67636 on a #22 to Longton.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off onto the A5035 and we headed over the railway line into Trentham where we passed Free Spirits minibus MV05 YMM. We turned right into New Inn Lane and we saw First Potteries 41520 on the #21 to the Trentham Hotel. We climbed the hill into Hanford and we turned right into Wilson Road. We ran down the hill onto the A34 and we saw South Staffordshire College minibus HJ58 KZA. We went under the A500 ans we passed First Potteries 41540 on a #21A to Trentham gardens. As we went through Trent Vale we passed Global Travel coach YKZ 9965. We turned right into Harpfields Road and we passed First Potteries 67638 on the final #22 turned to Longton. We turned into the hospital and we saw ABC Supreme E331 UYC & First Potteries 37158 on a #25 to Hanley. We turned right onto the A34 and as we were getting up to get off the bus we saw Scraggs coach 1 HVT on the opposite side of the A34. We got off the bus and Matthew took another picture of First Potteries 67601 as it carried on towards Newcastle bus station.

We set off on foot towards grandma and we saw D&G 158 on a 'Nines' service to Biddulph. Once at Grandma's Matthew used the toilet and the used the computer. He also had a drink of Irn Bru. Just after 18:00 we said goodbye and we set off back onto the A34. We entered Trent Vale and we saw First Potteries 65038 on a #101 to Hanley. We stopped at MacDonalds to pick up matgthew's tea and then we carried on along the A34 into Hanford and then into Trentham. As we joined the A5035 we saw First Potteries 41540 on a #21A to Hanley. We crossed over the railway line into Blurton and we got home around 18:45. Matthew then chilled out on his computer and watched telly until bedtime around 23:00... Mark

Today Matthew was going to the pub for his tea, but not before he had been to his day service. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Just before 09:00 his transport to his day service turned up and it was Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU.

We got on the bus and the bus set off onto the A5035. We turned left and ran through Dresden and up to Longton. We crossed the A50 and we turned into Chadwick Street and passed the Gladstone Pottery Museum. We crossed Uttoxeter Road on Bridgewood Street and went to the end before turning left on Forrister Street. At the ens we turned right onto Anchor Road. We ran up the hill and we saw First Potteries 41496 at the back of the depot. At the roundabout we turned left and we ran down to Bentilee. We picked up another service user and we saw Meadows minibus DN65 XZK. The respite place was still in the middle of a big renovation project. We got back onto Dividy Road and we ran into Bucknall and onto the A52. We followed the road around to the left and we saw Scraggs 8416 VT. At joiners Square we went left onto Victoria Road. At the top of Victoria Road we turned sharp right onto City Road and then onto Glebedale Road and to our destination. In the morning Matthew went for a short walk around Fenton. We went onto Christchurch Street and Righr onto Masterson Street Right onto Watkin Street and right again onto Temple Street before returning to the unit. For Dinner Matthew had MacDonalds out. We went in a magnum taxi. We set off onto Glebedaoe Road and we turned right onto City Road. At thr rundabout we turned sharp left onto Victoria Road and we ran down the hill to MacDonalds. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards He had burher and fries washed down with a can of Coke. When it was time to got they called for another taxi for the journey to the pub. It was another Magnum taxi. We traveled down Victoria Road and across the roundabout onto Lichfield Street and to our destination. In the pub Matthew went to the toilet and then had a glass of Coke. As it was a nice day Matthew spent time in the beer garden at the back of the pub. When it was time to go we were picked up by Shelton Care Group BU05 EWX. We set off onto Palmerston Street and we saw Roseville NU61 VJX. We turned right onto the A52 and then we turned left onto Victoria Road. At the top of Victoria Road we turned sharp right onto City Road. We turned left into Glebedale Road and we stopped briefly at the day centre and then continued onto Christchurch Street. We turned right onto Station Bridge Road and we went forwards onto Heron Street. We crossed over the crossroad and over the A50 and we went through Blurton along Blurton Road. We veered right onto Church Road and we continued to the end onto the A5035. We headed over the railway line into Trentham and we turned right onto New Inn Lane. After dropping off another service user we returned New Inn Lane and then left onto the A5035. We went to Magdalen Road and we follwed the road around onto Finstock Avenue and Beaconsfield Drive where we passed white minibus NX03 BFP. Matthew got home just before 15:00 and had toast and a can of diet cherry cola. Just before it was time to go we saw that there was torrential rain! luckily mum was at home today and she was able to give us a lift to the bus stop on the A5035 where there is a bus shelter. We got dropped off at he bus stop around 16:15. I hadn't seen any of #22 turns today, so whatever turned up was going to be a surprise. As we waited for the 16:28 we saw dud First Potteries 67635 on a #22 towards Longton.

The rain didn't let up much, it varied from being very heavy to torrential. A few minutes later we saw a bus appraoching from off Magdalen Road. As it got closer we saw that it was dud First Potteries 67601.

We got on the bus and we booked to Harpfields Road. As it was empty Matthew took a picture inside First Potteries 67601.

We set off along the A5035 over the railway line into Trentham. We turned right into New Inn Lane and we saw First Potteries 43877 on a #21 to the Trentham Hotel. We climbed the hill up to Hanford and we turned right into Wilson Road. At the end we turned left onto Church lane and we ran down to the A34. We crossed under the A500 and we ran into Trent Vale. We turned right into Harpfields Road where we got up and got off the bus. Matthew took another photo of First Potteries 67601 as it carried on towards Newcastle.

Once off the bus we walked back onto the A34 and towards the pub. On the way we saw Stafford Grammar minibus BD64 RSV. We got to the pub at the same time as mum pulled up in the car park. Today was a belated birthday meal, and Grandma and Grandad came as well as a few other friends. Matthew had his usual brunch with bread and butter followed by toffee sponge pudding with ice cream. With there being more people than usual, here was a timing issue and Matthew was unhappy about not get his meal at the same time as Grandma & Grandad. Whilst we ate highlights of the passing buses included required First Potteries 65037 on a Stafford Bound #101 service branded for the #101 as well as ABC Supreme minibus E331 EYC and P&D York coach YT61 GRZ. We also saw City Cabs LL09 SSV pull into the car park.

After we had finished eating on of the staff member at the pub brought out Matthews birthday cake, and Matthew blew out his candles. We shared out his cake and when we had finished we said goodbye to everyone and got in the car. Matthew called up uncle Dave and told him we were on our way to pick him up. We set off onto the A34 and we ran down to the A500. We went North to Sideway and then joined the eastbound A50. We came off the A50 at Heron Cross and we saw First Potteries 41497 on a #23A to Newstead. After dropping down into Fenton we picked up uncle Dave and we set off back to Heron Cross. We then got onto the A50 which we did up to Longton. We filled up with diesel and then we carried on East to the other end of Longton. As we waited to get on the roundabout we saw First Potteries 41497 again, now running out of service towards Adderley Green. We crossed the A50 and we ran down through Dresden along the A5035, passing First Potteries 53123 which was also running out of service. We got home around 19:30. Matthew then chilled out on his computer until bedtime around 00:00... Mark

We got on the bus and the bus set off onto the A5035. We turned left and ran through Dresden and up to Longton. We crossed the A50 and we turned into Chadwick Street and passed the Gladstone Pottery Museum. Fir dinner Matthew had cheese oatcake followed by chocolate cake. In the afternoon Matthew was going swimming. We set off on foot onto Christchurch Street and we went across onto Temple Street. We cut in between the Old Royal Oak pub and Jack Ashley Court onto City Road and we walked down over the old railway line to Leek and right into the private Road on which the baths are. Matthew went to the toilet and after getting changed he went swimming. After we came out of the baths we saw Copelands Tours Van Hool bodied coach MIB 246.

We continued on to City Road and we walked up the hill before we turned right onto Smithpool Road. We turned left onto Temple Street and at the end we turned right on Christchurch Street and too our destination. When it was time to go home we got on board Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU. We set off onto Christchurch Street and we turned right onto Station Bridge Road, We followed the road around onto Heron Street and we went through the traffic lights and over the A50 on Blurton Road. We went through Blurton and we followed the road around to the right onto Church Road. We turned right onto Beaconsfield Drive and we saw white minibus NX03 BFP and another unidentified white Volkswagen minibus. Matthew got home just before 15:00. Matthew had toast and a drink of orangeade whilst he waited for the time to go out and catch the bus. Today we went to catch the 16:56 to Newcastle. We were late setting off and it appeared we had missed the bus. We set off on foot to the bus stop all the way onto Magdalen Road. Going other other way we saw First Potteries 67641 going towards Longton. We had to wait for nearly 30 minutes for the next bus, which was the 17:31 departure. When in appeared it was as expected it was dud First Potteries 67641.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off on the A5035 and we turned right towards Trentham. We crossed the railway line into Trentham and we passed First Potteries 67602 on a #22 to Longton. We tuned right into New Inn Lane and we saw First Potteries 53208 on a #21 the Trentham Hotel. We climbed the hill into Hanford and we turned right into Wilson Road. We turned left onto Church Lane and we ran down to the bottom of the hill. We queued to join the A34 and we saw Mikro coach FJ07 TKF. We joined the A34 and we went under the A500 into Trent Vale. We turned right in Harpfields Road and we continued over the roundabout onto Hilton Road. We turned into the City General hospital and we saw ABC Supreme E331 UYC on a staff shuttle. We also passed First Potteries 37159 which was on a #25 to Hanley. We turned right onto the A34 and we got up and got off the bus. Matthew took another picture of First Potteries 67641 as it continued to Newcastle.

We walked back down the road to the crossing and we saw D&G 157 on a 'Nines' service to Newcastle.

We crossed the road and we walked up to Grandma's house here we met up with mum. Matthew spent a short while on the computer and had a can of Irn Bru. Thirty minutes later it was time for us to go and do the evening's chores. We said goodbye to Grandma and we drove down to the A34. We turned right onto Barracks Road and we saw First Potteries 65038 in the new fuscia livery and with #101 branding, and new to D&G 163 on a #73. We crossed the Jubilee roundabout onto the A53 and we saw First Potteries 67637 on a #37 turning into Albert Street. We ran down to Etruria and we turned right onto the A500. We ran fast up to Longtport and we turned right onto the A527. We stopped briefly in Longport and we continued up Newcastle Street into Burslem. We crossed through town and we went up the hill to Smallthorne. We did a few drops in Smallthorne and we saw First Potteries 53155 running out of service. After doing some stuff in Smallthorne we returned to Lonport via Burslem and Trubshaw Cross. We got on the A500 and we ran down to Etruria where we went East on the A53 to Festival Park. We turned right onto Etruria Road and we turned right again onto the Hanley ring road. We turned right at Lichfield Street and we ran down to Joiners Square. We crossed the roundabout on to Victoria Road and we ran up the hill to MacDonalds where we picked up Matthew's tea. We rejoined Victoria Road and we ran up to the A50 link Road. We did the link road to the A50 and we came off the A50 at Heron Cross. We ran through Blurton along Blurton Road and we went home via Church Road and Beaconsfield Drive. We got home around 19:30. Matthew ate his tea which consisted of a Chicken nugget meal and a plain cheeseburger, as washed down with a cup of Coke. Matthew chilled out, and later had a chip sandwich. He chilled out watching television and on his computer and went to bed around 00:00... Mark
