Today we were returning from our short break in Lincolnshire. Matthew woke up around 08:00 and had his medication. He got up just after 09:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. We packed up our things and we left the caravan around 10:00. We got in the car and we set off out of the camp site onto Anthony's Bank Road. We ran forwards onto the A1098 and we ran into the centre of Cleethorpes. We turned left just after the pier and we followed the A1098 to the edge of town. We veered right onto the A180. We went left onto the A46 following a diversion and we turned right onto Brereton Avenuw. We tyrned right onto Reynolds Street and we re-joined the A180 and we headed towards Grimsby. On the edge of town we turned left onto Freeman Street and we park on the short stay parking at the side of the road. We headed into the YMCA for an early lunch. Matthew had an English Brekfast washed down with a can of Coke. Whilst we ate we watched the buses go past. Highlight of the bus included Stagecoach East Midlands 26267 on a #3 to Cleethorpes. When we had finished eating Matthew went to the toilet before we returned to the car. We set off along Freeman Street and we turned right into Albert Street West and we turned right onto Railway Street. We turned right onto Church Street and left onto Freeman Street. We turned left onto the A180 and we ran out of town. A few miles later we ran forwards onto the M180. We ran West towards Stainforth and we joined the Southbound M18. We ran to the South of Doncaster and we joined the Southbound M1. We stopped for a brief break at Woodall Services. We got out of the car and we saw silver minibus YO68 NDK parked up.

We walked into the building and Matthew went to the toilet. We got back into the car and Matthew had a can of Cherry Coke. We rejoined the Southbound M1. We ran through the roadwork for several miles. On the M1 we saw Ambicorp FJ23 BDO, Stagecoach Yorkshire 54412(#560), grey minibus LB25 XKJ and Wood Coaches 380(#131). We came off the M1 and junction and we headed Westwards along the A50. As we travelled along the A50 we saw blue minibus SF19 CEA. We continued Westwards along the A50 and ran Westwards towards Uttoxeter and Blythe Bridge. We passed Copeland's Tours MIB 116. We continued past Longton and we came off the A50 at Heron Cross. We turned right onto Blurton Road and left onto Grove Road. We ran forwards onto Whieldon Road. We stopped at uncle Dave's and Matthew used the toilet and updates uncle Dave's calendar with the details of the weekend. We said goodbye and we set off onto Wheildon Road and we ran forwards onto Grove Road. We turned right onto Blurton Road and we crossed over the A50. We continued through Blurton and we saw Scraggs VT 9389. turned right onto Church Road and we turned right onto the A5035 and we got back to Blurton around 15:10. Matthew chilled out on his computer. A few minutes later we saw silver minibus FY55 EVC go past the end of the street.

When we got home Matthew had a can of Cherry Coke. We wrote some Blog and afterwards Matthew returned to the residential unit. We got in the car and we set off onto the A5035. We turned right onto Stanley Matthews Way and we ran to the end. We turned right onto the Eastbound A50 and we ran up to Heron Cross and we turned left onto Blurton Road. We went through the traffic lights onto Heron Steeet. We carried on forwards onto Station Bridge Road we turned left onto Christchurch Street and we turned left onto Masterson Street and we saw Stafford & District Community Link LA72 OGZ. We turned right onto Watkin Street and we continued onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs to his room and we put all his shopping in his cupboard or in the kitchen. For tea Matthew had pasta and tuna followed by a Bakewell tart. Later on we went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street. We turned left onto Smithpool Road. We crossed over the railway line and we walked down to the entrance of the park. Once we had finished in the park we walked back along Grove Road. We crossed over the Whieldon Road and we saw it was Travel Express YJ69 EHG. We got on the bus and we set off onto Whieldon Road and we turned left onto Smithpool Road. We turned right onto City Road and we ran up onto King Street and we went forwards onto King Street. We ran through Foley and we under the railway line into Longton. The bus stopped on Market Street and we turned left onto Anchor Road. We turned right onto Sutherland Road and we stopped at the pub. Matthew had a glass of Coke. When we had finished we returned to Fenton in Travel Express YJ69 EHG. We set off onto along Sutherland Road and left onto Anchor Road. We turned right onto Market Street and left onto The Strand and we ran under the railway line onto King Street. We ran through Foley into Fenton and forwards onto City Road and left onto Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs and Matthew chilled out in his room. He watched television and used his computer. Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Trip to Derby / Belper 02-08-2025

Today we decided to re-visit Derby. Matthew chose Derby on the Friday and we did no research for the trip other than to look at the weather, which was for dry weather with some sunshine. Matthew woke up at 08:00 and had his medication. Matthew got up around 10:00 and had toast and apple juice for breakfast. We got resy to go out and we set off just before 12:00. We had someone else coming with us today so we set off through Blurton and we turned right onto the A5035. We ran to Trentham and we turned right onto the Northbound A34. We ran into Hanford and under the A500 and we continued into Trent Vale. We ran into Newcastle and we turned right onto Barracks Road. We ran past the bus station and we turned left onto Ryecroft. We stopped in the small pull in by the shops and we picked up our friend. We then went to pick up uncle Dave. We turned around on Ryecroft and we ran around the one way system onto the A52. At the top of the hill in Hartshill we turned left onto Shelton New Road. We ran down the hill into the valley and we joined the Southbound A500. We ran through Stoke and we came off the A500 onto Wheildon Road. After we picked up uncle Dave we continued up Wheildon Road and onto Grove Road. We turned right onto Blurton Road and at the roundabout we joined the Eastbound A50. We ran through Longton and Meir. We turned right to continued along the Blythe Bridge bypass. We went near to uttoxeter and we continued along the A50 for a few more miles. As we travlled Eastwards we saw an unidentified Hunters Coaches coach and a black double decker Van Hool coach with a gold and maroon Splash. We came off the A50 and we and we headed towards Hatton on the A511. We decided to go to the Salt Box truck stop but when we got there we found it had closed, had been demolished and they had started to build a new care home on the site! We turned left onto Malthouse Lane and we turned around. We turned right nto the A511 and we stopped at Rascals for dinner. Matthew had a breakfast washed down with a bottle of Coke. He also used the toilet which was in a barn. When we had finished we headed back along the A511 and we re-joined the A50. We turned left onto the A516 and we headed North onto the A38. We ran North a few roundabout and we turned right onto the A52. We ran to the edge of Derby and we turned left onto the clockwise ring road. We ran arubd the ring road and we turned right onto Morledge. We ran under the car park and we a u-turn at the round about. We pulled in to the side the of the road and we got out of the car. We said goodbye to mum and our friend and we set off on foot along Morledge to the bus station We stood outside of the bus station and we took a few pictures. We saw Trent Barton 311 on a Ilkeston Flyer to Cotmanhay.

We walked through the bus station and out of the other end and we saw Kinchbus 149 on a Skylink to Leicester.

We walked back into the bus station and we looked for something to catch. We saw Trent Barton 88 on a Red Arrow service to Nottingham. We stopped part way down the bus station and we decided to do a High Peak bus. We got to the stand and we saw it was High Peak 806 on a Trans Peak service to Buxton.

We got on the bus and we booked Peak Network Day Tickets at £6 each before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off out of the bus station onto the A601 and we crossed over the Derwnt and onto King Street. We joined the Northbound A6 and we ran for through Darley Abbey. We crossed over the A38 and we continued up the A6 into Duffield. We crossed over the railway line and we ran Northwards into Milford. We crossed back over the railway line and we ran into Belper. We puled into the Trent Barton bus station and we saw Trent Barton 836 on Layover. We continued the Cromford and we got up and got off the bus. Matthew took another picture of High Peak 806 before it returned towards Buxton.

Once off the bus we walked around the corner onto the B5036. We crossed over the road and we went to the pub. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards we had a glass of Coke. When we had finished we came out of the pub and we saw Stagecoach Yorkshire 80151 on a X17 to Wikrksworth.

We headed back to the main road to catch abus back Southwards. We crossed over the A6 and Matthew spotted a cake shop. We went in and it was about to close, so Matthew had a slice of chcocolate cake to take away. We paid for the cake and we headed to the bus stop. We got to the bus stop and Matthew started to eat his chocolate cake. We saw Caledonian Travel YJ25 CVE heading Southwards down the A6. A few minutes later we saw the bus approaching before Matthew had finished eating his cake. As it got closer we saw it was High Peak 527 on a Trans Peak service to Derby. We got on the bus and we placed the Peak Network Day tickets under the scanner before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off along the A6 and we ran Southwards through Whatstandwell and Ambergate and we headed inti Belper. We turned into the bus garage and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew took another picture of High Peak 527 before it contnued Southwards towards Derby.

Also in the bus station were High Peak 282 on layover in between runs on the #113 and Trent Barton 836 parked up spare.

The bus next bus we wanted to catch was due off the stop around the corner in just over 10 minutes. We had already seen the bus on layover in the bus garage. We went around the corner onto King Street and we saw the was an event going. It was Pride in Belper and part of King Street was closed. We were concerned that the bus might not be able to get to the stop. We walked to the corner of Campbell Street and we saw there was a way through for the bus. We walked back to the stop and Matthew had a Twirl out of the trip bag. Almost immediately the bus appeared. We saw it was High Peak 282 on a #113 to Ashbourne as expected.

We got on the bus and we flashed the Peak Network Day tickets to the driver. The rear of the bus was empty so Matthew took a picture inside High Peak 282 before sitting down towards the back of the bus.

A few minutes later we set off along King Street and we turned right onto the Northbound A6. We veered left onto Bridge Foot and we crossed over the river Derwent. We ran forwards onto Belper Lane and we turned left onto Dalley Lane. We crossed over the A517 and we ran forwards onto Farnah Green Road. We continued onto Firestone and we ran forwards onto Sprimg Hollow. We turned right onto Hazelwood Hill and we ran forwards onto Over Lane. We turned left onto the A517 and we headed Westards into Cowers Lane. We continued into Turnditch and we ran for several miles into Hulland Ward. We ran through Hulland and Sturston and we ran into Ashbourne. We turned right into Park Avenue and we turmed left onto the A515. We turned right onto the A515 and right again to follow the A515 into the town centre. We turned left onto King Edward Street and we got to the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew took another picture before it returned on a #113 to Belper.

We had around 10 minutes to wait for the next bus we were going to catch. In the bus station was Trent Barton 702 which had broken down whilst working a Swift service to Uttoxeter. Matthew had a can of Irn Bru whilst we waited. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was High Peak 294 on a #442 to Buxton.

We got on the bus and we flashed the Peak Network Day tickets to the drive before sitting down towards the back of the bus. When it was departure time we set off along King Edwards Street and we turned right onto the Station Road. We turned right onto Church Street and we ran forwards onto the A515. We turned left to follow the A515 out of town and we headed Northwards. We continued through Fenny Bentley and we turned right onto The Avenue. We ran into Tissington and we turn left onto The Green and we continued onto Rakes Lane. We re-joined the Northbound A515 and we turned left onto Liffs Road. We turned right onto Drury Lane and we ran into Biggin village. We turned left onto Main Street and we turned right to re-join Liffs Road. We turned left onto High Cross and we continued onto Hall Bank. We ran into Hartington and when we got to the Square we got up and got off the bus. Matthew took a other picture of High Peak 294 as it coninued on the #442 to Buxton.

Once off the bus we headed across the square to the pub. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards he had a glass of Coke. When we had finished our drinks we went outside and we went up to the local shop, but the shop was closed. We headed back to the bus stop and Matthew had another Twirl from the trip bag. We waited for aruond 15 minutes and the bus appeared from West side of the village. As it got closer we saw it was High Peak 285 on a #442 to Ashbourne.

We got on the bus and we placed the Peak Network Day tickets under the scanner for the final time today before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the Square and we ran forwards onto Hall Bank. We continued onto High Cross and we joined Liffs Road. We turned left onto Main Street and we ran into Biggin. After a brief stop turned right onto Drury Lane. We ran out of the village and we re-joined Liffs Road. We ran for a few miles and we turned right onto the A515. We turned left onto Rakes Lane and we ran into Tissington. We continued through The Green and we turned right onto The Avenue. We rejoined the Southbound A515 and we ran through Fenny Bentley. We ran to the edge of Ashbourne and we turned left onto B5035. We turned right onto Cokayne Avenue and left onto Park Road. We turned right onto Sturston Road and right onto Compton Street. We turned left onto Edward Street and we stopped at the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Matthew took another picture of High Peak 285 before it returned empty to the depot.

Once we had got off the bus we started heading towards where mum was stopping. We walked down Compton Street and we saw Trent Barton 702 on a Swift service to Derby.

We got to the the A515 and we spotted mum coming down Derby Road. Mum pulled into the Taylor Court and we got into the car. We set off onto the A515 and we turned left onto Derby Road. We ran out of town and we stopped at a chip shop for a late tea. Matthew had sausage chips and gravy washed down with a can of Coke. When iI had finished eating we re-joined Derby Road and we turned right onto the A52. We ran through Hangingbridge and Mayfield and we turned right onto the B5032. We ran through Ellastone and we turned left onto the B5030. We ran near to Denstone and Rocester and we got to the A50 at Uttoxeter. We turned right and we headed West to the Blythe Bridge Bypass. We continued through Meir and Longton and at Sideway we joined the A500. At Hanford we joined the Northbound A34 and we ran through Trent Vale to Newcastle. We ran up Barracks Road and we turned left onto Ryecroft. We droipped off out friend and we headed towards uncle Dave's. We turned around on Ryecroft and we ran around the one way system onto the A52. At the top of the hill in Hartshill we turned left onto Shelton New Road. We ran down the hill into the valley and we joined the Southbound A500. We ran past the Travel Express garage and we ran through Stoke and we came off the A500 onto Wheildon Road. When we got to uncle Dave's Matthew got out to go to the toilet. He had some of uncle Rob's Fanta and we updates uncle Dave's calendar with today's trip. We got back in the car and we set off for Blurton. We set off onto Wheildon Road and we ran forwards onto Grove Road. We turned right onto Blurton Road and we crossed over the A50. We continued through Blurton and we turned right onto Church Road and right onto Beaconsfield Drive. We turned left onto Finstock Avenue and we saw black minibus HK74 ZGD parked up. We continued back to the house and we parked up. Matthew chilled out on his computer. Matthew had his medication and we did some of the Blog. We also wrote a few emails and generally used the computer to entertain ourselves. Matthew had a can of Cherry Coke. Matthew settled down around 01:00... Mark

Trip to Crystal Peaks / Sheffield 12-10-2024

Today we decided to re-visit Sheffield. I asked Matthew where he wanted to start, and out of the choices he chose Crystal Peaks. Research for the trip included looking at the ticketing, and checking the weather. It was going to be mainly dry with some showers due just before dark. Matthew woke up around 08:00 an had his medication. Matthew got up about 09:30 and had toast an orange juice for breakfast. Mum returned home from work and just after 12:00 we set off to pick up uncle Dave. We got in the car and we set off through Blurton and onto Beaconsfield Drive. We turned left onto Church Road and at the roundabout we veered left onto Blurton Road. We ran through Blurton and into Heron Cross and over the A50. At Heron Cross lights we turned left onto Grove Road. We ran forwards onto Wheildon Road and we picked up uncle Dave. After picking up uncle Dave we continued up Wheildon Road and forwards onto Grove Road. We turned right onto Blurton Road and left onto the A50. Once we had picked up uncle Dave, we continued back up Wheildon Road and we ran forwards onto Grove Road. We turned right onto Blurton Road and at the roundabout we joined the Eastbound A50. We ran through Longton and Meir. There were some roasdworks around Meir so this delayed our journey slightly. Traveling along the A50 we saw silver minibus BN64 ZGM, D&G Bus 111(#1), Atlantic Travel BV22 WRK and Stanton's of Stoke 80 YCX. We continued to junction 5 and we joined the Northbound A516. We ran up to the edge of Derby and we joined the Northbound A38. We travelled through Derby and we ciontinued Northwards. As we travelled on the A38 we saw Caledonian Travel YJ17 CXU and YJ20 FPU. We joined the Northbound M1 and we ran though a section of roadworks. We came of at junction 30 and we headed Westwards along the A6135. ran thrugh Eckington and we turned right onto the B6058. We ran forwards onto the B6053 and we turned right onto Sevenairs Road. We turned rigt into the car park and we parked up outside the pub. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards mum ordered the food. Matthew had a beefburger and chicken burger with chips washed down with a glass of Coke. After we had eaten we walked onto Sevenairs Road and left ono the B6053. We crossed over at the crossing and we walked along the path alongside the shopping centre. We walke around the corner past the Milestone pub and into the bus station. As we entered the bus station we saw TM Travel 835 on layover.

We decided to wait for a #120 into Sheffield. WE didn't have to long as as few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First South Yorkshire 35320 on a #120 to Fulwood.

We got on the bus and we booked TM SY Connect bus only tickets at £6.50 each. The lower deck was empty, so Matthew took a picture inside First South Yorkshire 35320.

We set off out of the bus station and we turned left onto Peaks Mount. We turned right onto Ochre Dyke Lane and we headed Westwards. We turned right onto Moss Way and we headed Northwards. We turned left onto Birley Spa Lane and we ran to the end before turning right onto Occupation Lane. We turned right onto the A6135 and we headed North Westwards. We ran through Fecheville and Intake and at Manor top we turned left onto Hurlfield Road and left onto Ridgeway Road before re-joining the A6135. We ran down the hill through Deep Pit shring the space with the tram lines. The tram lines veered off to the left and we continued along the A6135 before running forwards onto the B6070. We ran crossed over the railway line and as we approached the city centre we saw Grayscroft TJI 1679 going Northwards. We ran onto the Park Square roundabout and under the tram line. We turned left onto the A61 and past Sheffield Midland railway station. We turned right onto Hamrmer Lane and right onto Pond Street where we got up and got off the bus bus the interchange. Once off the bus we had a walk around to take a few pictures. We saw First South Yorkshire 63376 on a #56 to Nether Edge.

We crossed over and Matthew went to the toilet. At the other side of the we saw First South Yorkshire 37524 on layover.

We walked around the South end of the bus station and we saw First South Yorkshire 35270 on a X5 to Dinnington.

After we had walked around the bus station we saw a double decker on Pond Street. As it got closer we saw it was First South Yorkshire 37511 on a #95 to Walkley.

We got on the bus and we placed the SY Connect ticket under the scanner before we went upstairs and sat down. We set off up Pond Street and we ran forwards onto Flat Street. We turned left on High Street and we ran past the cathedral. We ran forwards onto Church Street and onto West Street. We continued onto Glossop Street and we turned right onto Upper Hanover Street. We headed West along Bolsover Street and we ran past Crookes Valley Road. We continued onto Crookes Valley Road and we ran forwards onto Barber Road. We continued onto Commonsde and forwards onto Howard Road. We got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew got another picture of First South Yorkshire 37511 as it continued towards Walkley.

Once off the bus we crossed over the road to the opposite stop. we worked out that we would be on the same bus going back. If we had gone further a little further we would have been on another busy bus route. Whilst we waited we saw First South Yorkshire 37120 on a #95 to Walkley. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As expected we saw it was First South Yorkshire 37511 on a #95 to Rotherham.

We got on the bus and we placed the SY Connect ticket under the scanner before we went upstairs and sat down. We set off up Howard Road and forwards onto Commonside. We continued onto Barber Road and we ran forwards onto Crookes Valley Road. We headed West along Bolsover Street and we turned right onto Mappin Street. We turned left onto West Street where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we saw Stagecoach Yorkshire 11712 on a #120 to Halfway.

We went to look for a pub we could have a drink in. We crossed over the road and we to Mr Wilson's but they were serving lunches. We crossed back over the road and we headed West along West Street. We went to go into Molly Malones, but the door staff would not let Matthew in with trainers on. We went into the Hallamshire Hotel and Matthew used the toilet. We came out and queued at the bar. Whilst we waited Matthew made friends with one of the bar staff that was testing measures. Matthew had a glass of Coke and after we had finished we went outside and met up with uncle Dave. We walked back along West Street to the bus stop and we waited for a bus. A short time later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was Stagecoach Yorkshire 12170 on a #120 to Halfway.

We got on the bus and flashed the SY Connect ticket to the driver before we went upstairs and sat down. We set off along West Street and we turned right onto rockingham Lane. We turned right onto Division Street and left onto Rockingham Street. We turned left onto Charter Row and we passed First South Yorkshire 63038 on a X2 to Doncaster. We ran forwards onto Furnival Gate and we turned left onto Arundel Gate. We ran onto High Street and we turned right onto Flat Street. We continued to the Interchange and we stop briefly before carrying on along Pond Street. We turned left onto Hamrer Lane and we turned right onto the A61. We ran past the railway station and we veered left onto Suffolk Road. We turned left onto the A6135 and almost imediately turned left onto the B6071. We crossed over the Southern throat of Sheffield Midlands railway station and we ran up the hill. We veered right onto Talbot Road and we turned right onto City Road. We ran through Deep Pit and to the top of the hill at Manor Top. We crossed over the roundabout and we continued along the road for another 2 stops where we got up and got off the bus. We crossed over the road to catch something back towards Sheffield. A short time later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was Stagecoach Yorkshire 15690 on a #50A to Sheffield.

We got on the bus and flashed the SY Connect ticket to the driver before we went upstairs and sat down. We set off along the A6135 and we went around the circular at the top of Intake. We headed onto City Road and through Depp Pit. We continued onto the B6070 and we saw a row of shops so we got up and get off the bus. Once off the bus we walked up the B6070 past all the takeaway to the corner of the A6135 where there was a convenience store. We went in and Matthew had a bottle of Dr Pepper and a Galaxy Caramel. When we had finished we went outside. It started to rain so we crossed over the road and we headed to a bus stop. By the time we got to the bus stop it had pretty much stopped raining, but we turned and saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was Stagecoach Yorkshire 11710 on a #120 to Halfway.

We got on the bus and flashed the SY Connect ticket to the driver before we went upstairs and sat down. We set off up City Road through Deep Pit and up to the circular at Intake. We decided to go to the came point as before so we got up and got off the bus. Matthew took another picture of Stagecoach Yorkshire 11710 as it continued towards Halfway.

As we were thinking about what to do next we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First South Yorkshire 37496 on a #120 to Halfway.

We got on the bus and we placed the SY Connect ticket under the scanner for the final time today before we went upstairs and sat down. We set off along the A6135 and we ran through Intake and Frechville. We turned left onto Occupation Lane and left onto Birley Spa Lane. We turned right onto Moss Way and left onto Ochre Dike Lane. We turned left Peaks Mount and we turned right into Crystal Peaks bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we spotted First South Yorkshire 35279 about to work a #120 to Fulwood.

We walked over to the pub and we went in. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards we had a glass of Coke. It was busy and crowded inside so we went and stood outside for a while. When we had finished we returned the glasses to the bar and we got in the car. We set off onto Peaks Mount and we turned left onto Waterthorpe Greenway. We continued onto Donetsk Way and we turned right onto Occupation Lane. We turned right onto the A6135 and we ran for around 1/2 mile until we came to the shops in Birley. We parked up and we went to the chip shop. Matthew had sausage chips and gravy. When I had finished eating we turned right onto the A6135 and we headed through Eckington and back onto the Soutbound M1. We ran through the roadwork for several miles. On the M1 we saw white minibus FP67 YMX. We came off the motorway at junction 28 and onto the Southbound A38. We travelled Southwards through Derby and we joined the A516. We ran for a few miles before joining the Westbound A50. As we travelled Westwards we saw an unidentified Flixbus coach on a 023 service. We continued through Meir and Longton an we came off the A50 at Heron Cross. We turned right onto Blurton Road and left onto Grove Road. We continued onto Whieldon Road and we dropped off uncle Dave. Matthew went in as he was desperate for the toilet. He also updated uncle Dave's calendar with the details of today's trip. We said goodbye to uncle Dave and we set off back to Blurton. We set off onto Wheildon Road and past the former Regent pub which is now up for sale. We ran forwards onto Grove Road and we saw green minibus R482 NDM parked up. We turned right onto Blurton Road and we crossed over the A50. We continued through Blurton and we turned right onto Church Street. We turned right onto the A5035 and back to Blurton around 21:00. Matthew had his medication and chilled out on his computer and we did some of the Blog. We also wrote a few emails and generally used the computer to entertain ourselves. Matthew got ready for bed. Today we decided to re-visit Derby. We did very little research for this trip other than to look at the Trent Barton tickets and to check the weather which was for dry weather with some sunshine. Matthew woke up just before 08:00 and had his medication. Matthew got out of bed at 10:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. We got ourselves ready and we set off around 12:00 to pick up uncle Dave. We got in the car and we set off through Blurton and we ran along Beaconsfield Drive and we turned left onto Church Road and at the roundabout we veered left onto Blurton Road past the former Coral shop which is new going to be flats. We ran through Blurton and into Heron Cross and over the A50. At Heron Cross lights we turned left onto Grove Road. We ran forwards onto Wheildon Road and we picked up uncle Dave. Once we had picked up uncle Dave, we continued back up Wheildon Road and we ran forwards onto Grove Road. We turned right onto Blurton Road and at the roundabout we joined the Eastbound A50. We ran through Longton and Meir. We turned right to continued along the Blythe Bridge bypass and we were passed Stanton's of Stoke 614 WEH. We went near to uttoxeter and we continued along the A50 for a few more miles. We came off the A50 and we and we headed towards Hatton on the A511. We deciedd to try something new today. We stopped at a cafe called Rascals for dinner. Matthew had a breakfast washed down with a bottle of Coke. He also used the toilet which was in a barn. When we had finished we headed back along the A511 and we re-joined the A50. We continued Eastwards for a few miles before joining the Northbound A516. We continued onto the A38 and we came off to headed into Derby. We followed the A516 to the edghe of town and we turned right onto the A601. We ran around the town centre and we turned left onto Morledge. After doing a loop bacl onto the A601 to try and get to a car park we headed back onto Morledge and mum dropped us off after saying goodbye to mum we walked along Morledge to the bus station. We saw Trent Barton 737 on a Swift service to Uttoxeter.

Afterwards we saw Arriva Midlands 2339 running out of service.

We walked to the ither end of the bus station to see what was around. matthew indiceated that he wanted to go towards Belper. There was a bus due in around 7 minutes so we waited at the approriate stand. A short time later we saw the bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was Trent Barton 328 on a #6.4 to Belper Estates.

We got on the bus and we booked a Zig-Zag duo ticket at £13.50 before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off out of the bus station onto the A601 and we crossed over the Derwnt and onto King Street. We joined the Northbound A6 and we ran for through Darley Abbey. As we stopped at a bus stop we crossed over the A38 and we continued up the A6 into Duffield. We crossed over the railway line and we ran Northwards into Milford. We crossed back over the railway line and we ran into Belper. The was a 'Save our NHS' protest outyside the Babington hospital. At the roundabout we turned right onto the A609 and then we turned left onto Campbell Street. We turned right into King Street and we got iup and got off the bus. Once off the bus we had a walk down King Street. We had about 15 minutes for the next bus forwards to Ripley. We decided to to have a cake in Costa. Before we went inside we saw Stagecoach Yorkshire 36990 on a #142 to Alfreton.

We went into Costa Coffee and Matthew had a slice of millionaire's shortbread and a bottle of Coke. When we had finished Matthew went to the toilet and we went outside and met up with uncle Dave. There were numerous Morri Dancers outside in the street that were doing dances and they even stopped the traffic. Just before our bus there was another bus at the bus stop. We saw Notts & Derby 826 on a #71 to Derby.

A few minutes later we saw our bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was Trent Barton 843 on a #6.3 to Ripley.

We got on the bus and we flashed the Zig-Zag Duo ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off up King Street and we turned right onto Strutt Street. We turned left onto the A609 and we ran Northwards. We turned left ont Chesterfield Road and we ran North for around 1/2 mile before we turned right into Ladywood Avenue. We turned left onto Dovedale Crescent and left onto Whitemoor Lane. We turned left onto Over Lane and we ran Northwards into Heage. We re-joined the B6013 by the Black Boy and we ran through the village onto the B6374. We ran Eastwards for a few miles and we crossed over the A38 and ran towards Ripley. We turned right onto Norman Road. We continued onto Kenilwirth Road and forwards onto Maple Avenue. We turned left onto Elms Avenue and we turned left onto the B6179. We stopped on the High Street and we got up and got off the bus. Matthew a picture of Trent Barton 843 before it carried on towards Ripley.

We walked into the Market place and we saw Trent Barton 170 on a RainbowOne to Nottingham. We went into the pub and Matthew went to the toilet. Afterwards Matthew had a glass of Coke. When we had finished we went outside and we met up with uncle Dave. We turned down Trent Barton 818 on a #90 to Sutton as it was going further away. We also turned down Trent Barton 750 on a Comet to Chesterfield. A short time later we saw another bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was Trent Barton 173 on a RainbowOne to Nottingham.

We got on the bus and we flashed the Zig-Zag Duo ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off up the High Street and we turned right onto Church Street. We turned right onto the B6441 and we headed out of town. At the roundabout we turned right onto the Southbound A610. We travelled for about 1/2 mile and we ran forwards onto the A6007. We headed through Cross Hill and Loscoe. We ran forwards onto the A608 and into the centre of Heanor. After a brief stop we continued along the A608 into Langley Mill. We stopped for a driver change opposite to the depot and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew took another picture of Trent Barton 173 before it continued towards Nottingham.

We crossed over the road and we had a quick look into the depot. We could only see on distant Wright Eclipse branded for the Twos. Matthew wanted the toilet so we decided to walk along the road until we found a pub. after about 1/3 mile we came across a pub on the opposite side of the road. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards Matthew had a small glass of Coke. We finished our drink and we crossed over the road and we waited for a bus back towards Heanor. We saw the was a #33 due in a few minutes. A short time later we saw the bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was Trent Barton 497 on a #33 to Ilkeston.

We got on the bus and we placed the Zigzag Duo Day ticket under the scanner before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off along the A608 and we headed Northwards past the bus garage. We foolwed the A608 to the right and into Heanor. We turned left onto Wilmot Street and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we crossed over the road to the market square and Matthew got another picture of Trent Barton 497 before it continued towards Ilkeston.

We walked into the square to llok for a shop. We went into a very unusual shop which was a chip shop combined with a conveniece store. Matthew bought a can of coke and a Milky Way, as well as a Bounty for me and uncle Dave to Share. After paying for the supplies, we walked across the square and we sat on a bench near to the bus stops. Matthew had a can of Irn Bru out of the bag and the Milky Way whilst uncle Dave and I shared a Bounty. Whilst we were still eating the bus pulled onto the stand. We saw it was Trent Barton 322 on a H1 service to Derby.

We finished off our food and we waited for the bus driver to change over. We got on the bus and we placed the Zig-zag group ticket under the scanner before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Market Street and we ran up to the roundabout and we turned left onto the Westboind A608. We ran through Smalley and continued Southwards through Morley. We decided to break the journey and wait for the bus behind so that we could get a 6th bus in for the day so as we approached the Northern edge of civilisation we decided to get up and get off the bus. We had a few minutes to wait for the bus so we visited the pub across the road. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards we had a glass of orange Fanta. When we had finished our drinks we left the pub and crossed back over the road to wait for the bus. We had a few minutes to wait and we soon saw the bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was Trent Barton 326 on a H1 to Derby.

We got on the bus and we placed the Zig-zag duo ticket under the scanner for the final time today before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off Southwards and we ran through Breadsall Hilltop and over the A61. We ran past the Meteor Retail Park and we turned right onto Mansfield Road. We crossed over the railway line and at the roundabout we followed mansfield Road to the left. We ran Southwards parallel to the railway line before joining the A601 and crossing over the Derwent. We turned right into Morledge and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we took a few more bus pictures. At the same stop we saw Trent Barton 254 on a #9.3 to Mansfield.

Matthew needed the toilet so we walked along Morledge and we cut past the courtroon to the Derwent and we entered the bus station from the far end. Matthew used the toilet and afterwards we had a walk along the bus station to take a few more pictures before we met up with mum. We saw Arriva Midlands Scania Omnicity 3559 parked up on layover.

We came out of the bus station onto Morledge and we waled to the other end to wait for mum to pick us up. Whilst we waited we saw Arriva Midlands 3740 on a X38 to Burton-on-Trent.

We set off along Morledge and we turned left onto the ring road and we ran anti-clockwise around town. We turned left onto the A516 and we ran out of town. We ran forwards onto the B5020. We crossed over the A38 and we ran into Mickleover. We stopped in the car park near to the chippy and I went to get food. Matthew had sausage chips and gravy washed down with a can of Cherry Coke. When I had finished eating we re-joined the B5020 and we headed onto the Westbound A516. We ran to the North of Burnaston and Etwall and we joined the Eastbound A50. On the A50 we saw an unidentified Roberts coach and an unidentified Silverdale coach. We continued past Blythe Bridge bypass and through Meir. We came off the A50 at Heron Cross. We turned right onto Blurton Road and left onto Grove Road. We continued onto Whieldon Road and we dropped off uncle Dave. Matthew went in as he was desperate for the toilet. He also updated uncle Dave's calendar with the details of today's trip. We said goodbye to uncle Dave and we set off back to Blurton.
