Trip to Blurton / Newcastle 21-09-2018

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. He was also going to Newcastle later on. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Whilst waiting to go to the day service we saw First Potteries 67631 on a #11 to Hanley.

Around 09:00 we set off on foot to the day centre. We walked onto Temple Street and right onto Christchurch Street. At the day centre we saw Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX.

In the morning Matthew went Douglas Macmillan hospice at Blurton. Transport for the trip was Shelton Care Group PE67 XEU. We set off onto Glebedale Road. We ran forwards onto Station Bridge Road and around the corner onto Heron Street. We ran through Heron Cross an over the A50. We ran through Blurton on Blurton Road and we turned right onto Church Road. At the end of Church Road we turned we turned right onto the A5035. We turned left onto Barlaston Road and we stopped at the Douglas Macmillan hospice. Matthew brought some cakes. Once we had finished we rturned to Fenton in Shelton Care Group PE67 XEU. We set offout of the hospice and we turned left onto Barlaston Road. We turned right onto the A5035 and we turned left onto Church Road. We turned left onto Blurton Road and we ran through Blurton where we saw First Potteries 63100 on a #22 to Newcastle. We ran forwards over the A50 in Heron Cross an onto Heron Street. We followed the road to the left onto Station Bridge Road and we ran forwards onto Glebedale Road. For dinner Matthew had sausage chips and gravy followed by a Bakewell tart and custard. In the afternoon Matthew walked to the pub. Across the road we saw Britannia Travel S100 KKE parked up.

We set off onto Christchurch Street. We went into the pub. Matthew went to the toilet and had a glass of Coke. Once we had finished in the pub we walked back to the residential unit. We set off onto Christchurch Street and we turned left onto Temple Street. We went upstairs to the residential unit and Matthew chilled out in his room. He used his computer and watched buses out of the window. We saw Blackfriars EU55 KVZ going towards Longton.

After a short while we saw D&G Bus 112 on a #1A to Wood Lane.

Also seen was A1 Embassy red taxi minibus SD06 HTC going towards Stoke.

A short time later we saw white minibus RA55 YZW going towards Stoke.

After a few minutes we saw First Potteries 63177 on a #11 to Newcastle.

For tea Matthew had shepherds pie and Chips followed by cheesecake. Later on Matthew went to Newcastle to try and catch the bus. We walked onto Christchurch Street and we must have missed the bus as we walked back down Temple Street to Smithpool Road to it was car. We set off onto City Road. We ran down under the railway line and around the one-way system onto the A52. We ran through Hartshill along Hartshill Road and we dropped down into Newcastle along George Street. We ran forwards onto Ryecroft we we veered left onto Merrial Street. At the end we turned right onto High Street and we veered right onto Liverpool Road where we stopped. Once out of the we saw taxi minibus we went to the Jumbo fun & play. Matthew went to the toilet and then used the play equipment. When we had finished we returned to Fenton in car. We ran down Liverpool Road onto the Ryecroft and we did a u-turn at the A34 roundabout and we headed back Eastwards. We went onto the A53 and we ran around the one-way system onto the A52. We ran along Hartshill Road through Harthsill and down the hill into Stoke town centre. We went around the one-way system onto Elenora Street and right onto Copeland Street. We turned right onto Glebe Street and left onto Church Street. We crossed over the A500 and under the railway line and we ran up City Road. We turned right into Smithpool Road and left into Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went back to the room and went on his computer. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.
