Trip to Hanley / Blythe Bridge 24-09-2021

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. He was also going out on the bus. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the day centre, we saw grey minibus ???? DRC. Later on we went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street. In the distance we saw Temple Street church minibus RX18 GZW. We carried on along Temple Street and we turned left onto Smithpool Road. We ordered sausages and chips gravy and then we walked back along Smithpool Road and onto and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs and Matthew went to his room to chill out. Matthew went into the living room to have tea. Matthew ate his sausages and chips gravy followed by a Butterfly cake. We went downstairs to do his pub. We went to do the pub. transport for the trip was a Lucky Seven taxi. We set off onto City Road and we crossed over and onto Manor Street and left onto Victoria Road. We headed down the hill and crossed over the roundabout at Joiners Square onto Lichfield Street and to our destination. Matthew went to the toilet and had a drink of Coke. Highlights of the bus sightings at the pub included First Potteries 69163 on the #6 to Hanley. When it was time to returned to Fenton we travelled back in a car. We set off Palmerston Street and we turned right onto the A52. We continued along the A52 past the railway station We turned left onto City Road and right onto Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street. When we got back to the residential unit Matthew went up to his room to chill out and watch buses out of the window before going out for a drink. Matthew used his computer and watched buses out of the window. We saw Premier Travel YJ14 HHA.

Later on we went out on the bus to Hanley. We went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street. We turned left onto Christchurch Street. We waited for a bus towards Hanley. After a short wait we saw blue minibus SF20 HHL.

We walked Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs and Matthew chilled out in his room. Matthew chilled out in his room on his computer. his room to use his computer and watch buses whilst waiting for us to Hanley to go out for drink. Whilst waiting. We went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We waited for a bus towards Stoke. After a short wait we saw First Potteries 67159 on a #23 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Christchurch Street. We turned left onto City Road. down under the railway line and into Stoke. After a brief stop we continued around the one-way system onto Elenora Street and right onto Copeland street. We turned left onto Glebe Street and we went under the railway line before turning left onto Station Road. We went past the railway station ans we turned right onto College Road. After running the hill through Shelton we continued onto Cleveland Road and forwards onto Regent Road. We turned left onto Lower Bethesda Street and we crossed over the ring road onto Bethesda Street. We turned right onto John Street and we entered the bus station where we got up and got off the bus and we set off onto Lichfield Street. We continued along Tontine Street. We continued through the square onto Parliament Row and we walked up McDonalds. Matthew had a washed down with a cup of Coke. Once We walked along Parliament Row and and we turned right onto Old Hall Street. We walked forwards onto Lichfield Street and into the bus station. We waited for a bus to Fenton. After a short time we saw First Potteries 65733 on a #8 to Ball Green.

We decided to wait for the next bus we saw First Potteries 69155 on a #6A to Blythe Bridge.

We got on the bus and we booked to Blythe Bridge. As the bus was empty Matthew took a picture inside First Potteries 69155 before we sat down.

We set off out of the bus station onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We turned left onto the ring road and we turned right onto Lichfield Street and we ran down the hill to Joiners Square. We crossed the roundabout onto Victoria Road. We continued onto City Road and forwards onto King street we saw D&G Bus 115. We ran through Foley and under the railway line into Longton town centre. The bus stopped on Market Street and then we continued onto Uttoxeter Road. We ran through Normacot and then we joined the A50. We ran fast up to Meir and we came off the A50 onto Broadway. At the roundabout we turned right onto the A520 and we headed up the hill to Rough Close and we turned left onto Grindley Lane. We turned left onto Whitestone Road and then left onto Lysander Road. We ran around the Meir Park and we crossed over the A50 onto the A521. We ran into Blythe Bridge and we crossed over the railway line. We continued into the town centre and as we travelled we passed Harry Shaw YJ69 VLX. We continued into the town centre and we went under the railway line. we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we waited for someone to come and pick us up. We got in the car and we set off along Uttoxeter Road. We turned right onto the A521 and we ran forwards onto the Westbound A50. We ran through Meir into Longton. We came off the A50 at Heron Cross and we turned right onto the A50 link road. We turned left onto King Street and we ran forwards onto City Road. We turned left onto Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street. We went upstairs and Matthew went to his room to chill out. For tea Matthew had sausages, chicken dippers, chips and beans followed by chocolate cake with custard. He watched television and used his computer. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.
