Trip to Glasgow / Riverside 20-04-2023

Today we started the day in Glasgow. Matthew woke up around 07:00 and we got dressed and ready to go down for breakfast. We had full English breakfast and orange juice. After breakfast we returned to the hotel bag. After getting ready we set off onto foot down Govanhill Street and Dixon Community SF56 HWL.

and we turned right onto Hollybrook Street and we waited for a bus towards Summerston. As short time later we saw a bus approaching As it got closer we saw it was First Glasgow 38489 on a #7 to Summerston. We got on the and we booked flexible tickets at £4.50 each before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off up Hollybrook Street and we turned right onto Calder Street. We turned right into Victoria Road and we turned right onto the Pollokshaws Road and we ran forwards onto the A370 and we went through Glasgow and we turned left onto Stockwell Place. We ran forwards onto Howard Street and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew took another picture of First Glasgow 38489 before it continued towards Summerston.

We crossed over Dunlop Street and we headed into Clyde Street. We headed Southwards through the park to the South Eastern corner and we crossed over Broomielaw and we saw Stagecoach Western 27213 on a X19 to Easterhouse.

A short while later we saw Phoemix X3 PBS.

We visited The Clydeside Distillery. Matthew had a can of Irn Bru. Once we had finished we walked through Stobcross Road to the museum and on the sailing ship today. We stopped at the food truck and Matthew had a burger and we shared a few fries washed down with a can of Coke. We afterwards had a ice cream. When we had finished we walked back along Riverside. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it was Community Transport Glasgow SJ69 EXU on a #100 to Glasgow.

We got on the bus and we put the flexible tickets before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off out Pointhouse Place and we turned left into Stobcross Road and right into Hayburn Street. We turned right into Benalder Street and right into Dumbarton Road and we joined the Argyle Street. We turned right onto Finnieston Street and into Finnieston. We turned left into the A814 and right into Argyle Street. We got up and got off the bus. We walked into Hope Street and right into Renfrew Street and we went to Cineworld. Matthew had a hot dog and Coke. He went to the toilet and afterwards he saw The Super Mario Bros. Movie at the cinema. When he had finished we set off back down Renfrew Street and we turned right onto Sauchiehall Street and we went to Tesco Express store. Matthew brought a can of Coke and a couple of chocolate bars. When we had finished we went out and Matthew decided he needed the toilet. There was a pub next door so we visited Costa Coffee. Matthew used the toilet and then Matthew had a sausage roll and and a bottle of Coke. Once we had finished eating and drinking we walked through the shopping centre and back onto Sauchiehall Street and right onto Renfrew Street. We saw First Glasgow 38406 on a #75 to Castlemilk.

We crossed over the Blue Lagoon Fish & Chips. Matthew had sausage chips and gravy washed down with a can of Coke. When we had finished we walked back along Govanhill. As it got closer we saw it was First Glasgow 34399 on a #75 to Castlemilk. We got on the bus and we placed the flexible tickets under the scanner for the final time today before we went downstairs. Matthew saw a seat towards the back of the bus. When he sat down we saw another couple of seats so we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off down Renfrew Street and we ran to Union Street. We turned left onto Argyle Street and we turned left onto Queen Street. We turned right onto Ingram Street and we turned right onto Glassford Street. We ran forwards onto Stockwell Street. We turned left onto Bridgegate and we turned right onto Crown Street and we turned right onto Ballater Street. We turned right onto the A370 and we turned left onto Cumberland Street and we turned right onto the A728. We ran up to Caledonia and we saw First Glasgow 44448 parked in the garage. We got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew took another picture of First Glasgow 34399 before it continued towards Summerston.

Once off the bus we walked down Govanhill Street at the appartment. We came in and we settled down. Matthew had a ham sandwich and a can of orange Fanta. After a late tea will chilled out in the room. Matthew watched TV and we did some work on the Blog. Later Matthew had a shower and then got into his pyjamas before settling to bed around 00:30...
