Trip to Hanley / Longton 24-08-2019

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. He was also going out on the bus later on. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the day centre, we saw Temple Street church RX18 GZW parked up in the Street.

we went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street. In the distance we saw Temple Street church minibus RX18 GZW. We carried on along Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We waited for a bus towards Hanley. After a short wait we saw First Potteries 42553 on a #23 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Christchurch Street. We turned left onto City Road. and we joined the A52 to go under the railway line and over the A500. We continued onto Church Street and into the centre of Stoke. After a brief stop we continued around the one-way system onto Elenora Steet and right onto Copeland street. We turned left onto Glebe Street and we went under the railway line before turning left onto Station Road. We went past the railway station and we turned right onto College Road. After running the hill through Shelton we continued onto Cleveland Road and forwards onto Regent Road. We turned left onto Lower Bethesda Street and we crossed over the ring road onto Bethesda Street before we turned right onto John Street where we got up and got off the bus. In the bus station we saw First Potteries 32639 on a #3A to Talke.

Once off the bus we walked up Lichfield Street and onto Stafford Street. We visited Wilko and we brought a can of Fanta orange. Once we had finished shopping we walked back towards the bus station and we watched the festival. We saw Stanton's of Stoke 4051 VT on a #61 to Bradeley. At the festival we watched the dancers who were dancing in mud, we saw some people doing graffiti art and we saw people constructing unusual bikes. After we had seen the sights we returned to the bus station. We saw First Potteries 37158 on a #32 to Uttoxeter. We waited for a bus to Longton. A short time later we saw First Potteries 63100 on a #11 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we booked to Longton, we sat down. We set off out of the bus station onto John Street and down the hill past the car park. We turned left onto Bethesda Street and we turned left onto the ring road. We ran around the ring road and we turned right onto Bucknall New Road. We ran down the hill through Limekiln lights. We ran forwards onto the A52 and we turned right onto Dividy Road we saw Scraggs 6626 VT. We turned left onto Beverley Drive and right onto Dawlish Drive. We ran through the estate and back onto the A5272. We ran up to Adderley Green and we saw First Potteries 63118 parked in the garage. At the roundabout we turned right onto Anchor Road. system onto Commerce Street and right onto The Strand. We got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we walked down The Strand and we turned right into the Bennett Precinct. We visited the Baguette shop and Matthew had a sausage roll and a can of Coke. He also had a Manchester tart. when we had finished in the shop we walked back to the bus stop on The Strand. Matthew ate his sausage roll and drank a can of Coke. We waited for a bus to Fenton. After a while we saw First Potteries 67656 on a #6A to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down The Strand and we ran under the railway line onto King Street. We ran through Foley into Fenton and forwards onto City Road. We turned right into Victoria Road and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we walked back to the residential unit. We set off along City Road and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We turned right onto Temple street and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs and Matthew went to his room to chill out. He used his computer and watched buses out of the window whilst and ate his Manchester tart whilst we waited for tea. We saw D&G Bus 114 on a #1 to Park Site. We set off onto Temple Street and onto Christchurch Street. We walked onto City Road. We crossed over and onto Manor Street. At the end of Manor Street we turned left onto Victoria Road and we went down the hill to Aldi. Matthew brought his shopping and waked back to the residential unit. We set off onto Victoria Road and we walked up the hill. We turned right onto Manor Street and we crossed over City Road. We cut through onto Temple Street. We went back to the back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to his room to chill out and use the computer. Matthew chilled out in his room for a while. Later on Matthew went out to KFC. Matthew went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street. We turned left onto Christchurch Street and right onto City Road, We walked past Philpots and at the roundabout we turned right into KFC. Matthew had a chickenburger and fries washed down with a cup of Coke. Once we had finished eating we walked back along City Road and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to chill out in his room. He watched television and used his computer. Matthew had a drink can of Fanta Orange. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. It was also the day Matthew became aware of the shuttle service for the Middleport Pottery park and ride. Matthew was also going out on the bus later. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the day centre, we saw Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX.

We went to the shops in Longton. Transport for the trip was Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We got on the bus and we sat down. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Chrsitchurch Street. We turned right onto Station Bridge Road ans we followed the road around onto Heron Street. We went over the traffic lights onto Blurton Road and at the roundabout we joined the Eastbound A50. Wecame off the A50 at Longton and we ran along the high level road to the other end of town. We turned shrp left onto The Strand. We turned left and went into the Lidl car park. Matthew did his food shopping and we returned to Fenton. Transport for the trip was Sheltobn Care Group DY08 FFX. We joined the East bound high level road and we crossed over the A50. We went back West and past the Lucky Seven depot where we saw Lucky Seven VX63 WYK. We continued forwards onto the Westbound A50. We came off the A50 at Heron Cross. We turned right onto Blurton Road and we went through the traffic lights onto Heron Street. We followed the road around onto Station Bridge Road and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto Masterson Street and right onto Watkin Street. We turned right onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. After going upstairs and dropping off the shopping we went out to Stoke. We set off on foot towards the bus stop on City Road. Whilst we waited for the bus to Stoke we saw Scraggs 6626 VT heading towards Stoke.

A few minutes later the bus appeared and it was D&G Bus 44 on a #1 to Park Site.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre along Church Street. We got off the bus and we walked along Church Street. We crossed over the road into the pub and Matthew went to the toilet. We crossed back over Church Street and forwards onto Campbell Place. We stopped at the cafe on the corner of Hide Street that used to be called the London Grill. For dinner Matthew had a sausage bap and a can of Coke. When we had finished we walked back along Campbell Place onto Church Street. We saw First Potteries 67155 on a #21 to Trentham.

We continued to the bus stop and we waited for a bus back to Fenton. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw that it was First Potteries 63176 on a #11 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off onto Church Street out of Stoke and over the A500. We ran under the railway line and we continued onto City Road. At the top of the hill we got up and got off the bus. We crossed over City Road and onto Christchurch Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went up to his room to chill out and watch buses out of the window. whilst in the room we saw Afford rent-a-car minibus WX18 WKJ going towards Stoke. Later on we went out to Trentham Gardens. Transport for the trip was aboard Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We got on the bus and we sat down. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street. We turned right onto Station Bridge Road and we followed the road around onto Heron Street. We went through the Traffic lights and at the roundabout we got onto the Westbound A50. We came off onto Stanley matthews Way and we saw Stanton's of Stoke 5658 RU. At the end we turned right onto the A5035. We crossed over the A34 and we entered Trentham Gardens. We parked up and we went into the gardens as Matthew now has an annual pass. Matthew went to the toilet and we to Coffee Interlude. Matthew had a bottle of Coke. When we had finished eating we returned Fenton. Transport for the trip was Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We got on the bus and we set off out of the gardens. We turned left onto the Northbound A34 and we ran up to Hanford Roundabout. We got onto the Northbound A500 and we came off at Sideway. We got onto the Northbound A5006 and we ran up to Stoke. We joined the one-way system and we turned left onto London Road. We stopped at Sainsbury's petrol station for air in the tyres and petrol. After we filled up we turned right onto London Road. We ran forwards onto Campbell Place and we joined the one-way system. We turned left onto Church Street and right onto Liverpool Road. We veered left onto Elenora Street and we followed the road around onto Copeland Street. We turned left onto Glebe Street crossing over the A500 and right onto Lytton Street. At the end we turned left onto City Road and under the railway line. We ran up the hill into Fenton and we turned right onto Smithpool Road. We turned left into Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went up to his room watching television and using his computer. For tea Matthew had shepherds pie followed by treacle tart and custard. Later on Matthew chilled out in his room. Matthew used his computer and watched music videos on the television. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.
