Trip to Hanley / Leek 17-03-2020

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. He wa also going out on the bus to Hanley. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had orange juice and toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the day centre, we saw First Potteries 67155 on a #23 to Hanley. We went downstairs and we set off on foot onto Temple Street and right onto Christchurch Street to the day centre. In the morning we were going to Hanley on the bus, so we set off on foot to the bus stop. We set off along Glebedale Road. We crossed over City Road Fountain Street and we turned right onto George Street. We turned left onto Victoria Road. We walked down the hill to the bus stop. A short time later we saw First Potteries 67657 on a #6 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked the Hanley before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off down Victoria Road and towards Joiners Square. At the roundabout we went forwards onto Lichfield Street where we saw Stanton's of Stoke HRZ 7193. we turned left onto the ring road. We turned right onto Bethesda Street and right onto John Street and into the bus station we saw D&G 157. We got up and got off the bus. Once off the we walked down Old Hall Street and acrioss the ring road. We walked down Bucknall New Road and we stopped at the mobile phone shop. Once we had finished we We crossed back ober the ring road and back down Old Hall Street. Matthew had a bottle of Coke. We carried on along Parliament Row and up to Town Road and we visited Barclays Bank. We walked down Quadrant Road onto New Hall Street. We stopped at Wyndsor's World Of Shoe before walking along Marsh Street and up Trinity Road. We walked through the Piccadily Arcae and along Xhepside up to Old Hall Street. We stopped at B&M to buy some chocolate before heading down Lichfield Street to the bus station. We waited for a bus back towards Fenton. A short time later we saw First Potteries 44515 on a #23 to Newstead.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before we sat down. We set off onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We crossed over the ring road and we ran down onto Regent Road and forwards onto Cleveland Road. We ran down though Shelton along College Road. We turned right onto Avenue Road and left onto Stoke Road. We ran down the hill and we turned left onto Station Road and past the railway station. We turned right onto Glebe Street and under the railway line an we ran around the one-way system in Stoke and stopped by Stoke Minster. We turned left onto Church Street and we crossed the A500 and we ran under the railway line. After climbing up the hill into Fenton we turned right into Christchurch Street where we got up and got off the bus. Matthew went upstairs to his room to chill out and watch buses out of the window. we went to Leek by Car. We went downstairs and we got in the car. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We crossed over City Road onto Manor Street and we headed onto Victoria Road. We turned left onto Victoria Road and we ran down to Joiners Square. We turned right onto the A52 and we ran up to Bucknall. At Bucknall we continued onto the A5009. We ran through Abbey Hulton and Milton and we joined the Northbound A53 where we saw Teletaxis CU15 PJJ. We continued North through Endon where we saw First Potteries 65029 on a #18 to Hanley. We ran through Longsdon and we ran into Leek. We turned left Sneyd Street and we parked up. We visited onto soft play area, as well as a cafe. When we had finished we got in the car and we returned to Fenton. We ran to the end and we turned right onto the A53. We ran through Longsdon and into Endon. We continued South Through Stockton Brook and down to Cobridge past the site of a new Wrights Pies. At the lights we turned left onto Waterloo Road. We ran down to the ring Road and then we ran around Hanley before going onto Lichfield Street. We ran down to Joiners Square and we continued onto Victoria Road. We ran up to the top and we turned sharp right onto City Road. We ran down to Smithpool Road and we turned left. We turned left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs and chilled out in his room. We saw First Potteries 65005 on a #11 to Newcastle.

Later on we went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street. In the distance we saw Temple Street Church minibus RX18 GZW. We carried on along Temple Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street and to the day centre. At the day centre. We set off out of the day centre on to Christchurch Street where we saw Stanton's of Stoke RUI 2486. We waited for the bus to appear and a few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. The bus appeared and it was First Potteries 44515 on a #23 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Christchurch Street. We turned left onto City Road and we joined the A52 to go under the railway line and over the A500. We continued onto Church Street and into the centre of Stoke. After a brief stop we continued around the one-way system onto Elenora Steet and right onto Copeland street. We turned left onto Glebe Street and we went under the railway line before turning left onto Station Road. We went past the railway station and due to roadworks we ran to the end of Station Road and turned right. We ran up Stoke Road and we turned right onto Avenue Road where we saw Stanton's of Stoke PSU 989. At the roundabout we turned left onto College Road. After running the hill through Shelton we continued onto Cleveland Road and forwards onto Regent Road. We turned left onto Lower Bethesda Street and we crossed over the ring road onto Bethesda Street before we turned right onto John Street and into the bus station. We got up and got off the bus and we set off onto Lichfield Street. We went forwards onto Tontine Street and we stopped at the Card Factory. We continued onto Paliament Row and we stopped at Pounland where Matthew brought a can of Coke. Once we had finished in the shop we set off onto Tontine Street and forwards onto Lichfield Street. We continued to the bus station and we waited for a bus towards Fenton. A short time later the bus pulled onto the stand. We saw it was First Potteries 67152 on a #23 to Newstead.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before we sat down. We set off onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We crossed over the ring road and we ran down onto Regent Road and forwards onto Cleveland Road. We ran down though College Road. We turned right onto Avenue Road and left onto Stoke Road. We went passed the former chemists which is becoming a new dessert shop. and we ran down the hill and we turned left onto Station Road and past the railway station. We turned right onto Glebe Street and under the railway line an we ran around the one-way system in Stoke and stopped by Stoke Minster. We turned left onto Church Street and we crossed the A500 and we ran under the railway line. After climbing up the hill into Fenton we turned right into Christchurch Street where we got up and got off the bus. We walked back to the residential unit. We set off onto Christchurch Street and left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went up to his room to chill out on his computer. Later on Matthew chilled out in his room. Matthew used his computer and watched music videos on the television. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was in residential and he was going to his day service. Matthew was also going out to the disco later. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Whilst waiting to go to the day service we saw First Potteries 67633 on a #11 to Hanley. Around 09:00 we set off on foot to the day centre. We walked onto Temple Street and right onto Christchurch Street. At the day centre we saw Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX.

In the morning Matthew went to Chester on Stanton's of Stoke HRZ 7193. We set off onto Glebedale Road and we turned right onto City Road. We ran under the railway line and then we turned right onto the Northbound A52. We ran North up to the M6 and we continued North as far as junction 20. At Junction 20 we went Westwards along the M56. At junction 15 we went Southwards down the M53 and forwards onto the A56. We then ran into the North end of Chester and we went on the clockwise ring road. We joined the Eastbound A51 and we went up Tarvin Road and around the one way system before going eastwards along the A5115. we stopped for dinner at The Peacock. Matthew went to the toilet and then had a glass of Coke. For dinner Matthew had a burger and chips followed by chocolate fudge cake. Highlights of the bus sightings included Stagecoach Merseyside 47515 on a #5 service to Huntington and D Jones Solo BU53 DJS on a C56 to Wrexham. When it was time to return we got back on board Stanton's of Stoke HRZ 7193. We set of along the A5115 and forwards onto the A51. We ran Westwards to the ring road and then we went anti-clockwise around to the A56. We ran North up to the M53 and we went North one junction to the M56. We got onto the Eastbound M56 as far as the A556 and then we went down to the A50. We travelled South through Knutsford. We continued to Holmes Chapel and down into Kidsgrove. We carried on South towards Tunstall and we turned left onto the A527. In Fegg Hayes we turned right onto Oxford Street and we ran through Chell Heath past Matthew's old school. In Smallthorne we turned right onto Ford Green Road and at the roundabouts we turned left onto the A5272. We followed the road through Sneyd Green and Northwood and down to Bucknall. We turned right onto the A52 and at Joiners Square roundabout we turned left onto Victoria Road. At the top of the hill we turned right onto City Road and we ran down the hill to Smithpool Road. We turned left and left again onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went up to his room and chilled out on his computer. We saw red minibus R839 UWF.

For tea Matthew had chicken and chips followed by cake. Later on Matthew we to the disco in an ABC Supreme taxi. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto City Road and we ran down the hill. We joined the A52 and we ran North through Joiners square to Bucknall. We turned left onto Bucknall New Road and we turned right onto Keelings Road. We then went to the Cat Inn. Matthew used the toilet and had a drink of Coke. We then returned to Fenton in an ABC Supreme taxi. We set off onto Keelings Road and we ran down the hill to Bucknall New Road. At the light we turned right onto the A52. We ran through Joiners Square into Stoke. We turned left onto City Road and we ran up the hill to Smithpool Road. we turned right and left into Temple Street and back to the residential unit. When Matthew got back he had a bath. Later on he chiled out in his room on his computer until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was going to Grandma's, but not before he had been to his day service. Matthew got up around 08:00. He got dressed and had toast for breakfast. Just before 09:00 his transport to his day service turned up and it was Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX.

We got on the bus and we set off onto the A5035. We continued up through Dresden into Longton and we crossed over the A50. We ran past the Gladstone Pottery Museum on Chadwick Street and we crossed over Uttoxeter Road and onto Bridgewood Street. Due to the road ahead being closed we turned left onto Sutherland Road an we went past the Police Station. We turned right onto Anchor Road and we ran up the hill and down the other side into Adderley Green. At the roundabout we turned left onto the A5272 and into Bentilee. After picking up another service user we ran along the A5272 and into Bucknall and onto the A52. We followed the road around to the left and we ran to Joiners Square and we turned left onto Victoria Road. We ran to the top of the hill and we turned sharp right onto City Road. We turned left onto Glebedale Road and to our destination. In the morning Matthew went on the computer. For dinner Matthew had fish fingers & chips followed by cake. In the afternoon Matthew watched a DVD and then went for a run out in the minibus. Transport for the trip was Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We set off onto Glebedale Road and we went forwards onto Station Bridge Road. We continued onto Heron Street before we got on the Eastbound A50. We ran up to Blythe bridge roundabout before turning around and coming back to Meir Heath. We turned right onto Caverswall Lane and through Cookshill to Weston Coyney and onto the Northbound A520. We ran up to Winterfield Lane and then we went cross country all the way up to the A52 at Ash Bank. We turned left and we ran down the hill through Bucknall and over the traffic lights and up the hill to Hanley. We turned right onto the ring road and we ran around to the end before turning right onto Waterloo Road. We ran up through Cobridge to Burslem and we continued onto Scotia Road and we tan up to Tunstall. We turned left onto Williamson Street and then right onto High Street. We parked up in the square and then we visited the Wrights Pie shop where they purchased dome stuff for the end of term party on Friday. When we had finished we got back into Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX for the trip back to Fenton. We set off back down the high Street and back into Burslem via Williamson Street and Scotia Road. We crossed through the lights and onto Waterloo Road and we ran through Cobridge and onto the Hanley ring road. We ran around to Lichfield Street and down the hill to Joiners Square. At the roundabout we crossed over onto Victoria Road and we ran up the hill and turned right passing Fenton manor sport complex. We turned left onto City Road and we ran up to Glebedale Road and turned right to our destination. After a short stop Matthew transferred onto Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU. We set off onto Glebedale Road and we turned right onto City Road. We turned sharp left onto Victoria Road and we ran down the hill to Joiners Square. We turned right onto the A52 and we followed the road to the right towards Bucknall. We turned right onto the A5272 and into Bentilee. We stopped to drop off another service user and we saw Stanton's of Stoke HRZ 7193. We continued along the A5272 to Adderley Green and we turned right onto Anchor Road. We ran down the hill to Longton. We ran around the one way system and we crossed over the A50 on the A5035. We ran through Dresden into Blurton and we saw silver minibus EU16 EYJ parked up at The Gables. Matthew got back home around 15:00. Once in the house Matthew had toast and orange juice whilst he waited for the time to go out and catch the bus. Today we went to catch the 16:26 to Newcastle. We set off on foot to the bus stop all the way onto Magdalen Road. I hadn't seen bus earlier so we didn't know what bus to expect. A few minutes later running bang on time we saw dud First Potteries 67601 turned the corner.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We joined the Westbound A5035 and we saw First Potteries 67634 on a #22 to Longton. We ran over the railway line into Trentham and we turned right into New Inn Lane and we climbed the hill into Hanford were we saw We turned right into Wilson Road passing First Potteries 67151 on a #21 to the Trentham Hotel. We turned left Church Lane. We joined the A34 and we crossed under the A500 into Trent Vale and we saw First Potteries 67155 on a #21 to the Trentham Hotel. We turned right Harpfields Road and we ran forwards onto Hilton Road where we passed First Potteries 67637 on the final #22 turn. We turned into the City General hospital and we saw ABC Supreme NM08 WKT and First Potteries 66845 on a #25 to Hanley. We rejoined the A34 and we travelled North about 1/2 mile and we got up and got off the bus and Matthew took a picture of First Potteries 67601 as it carried on towards Newcastle.

Once off the bus we saw E-zec patient transport YJ16 GFA followed by D&G 157 on a 'Nines' to Clayton.

We crossed over the A34 and we then walked back towards Grandma's house. At Grandma's Matthew had a can of Irn Bru and used her computer. We said goodbye to Grandma around 18:15 and we ran down to the A34. We went past Newcastle bus station and we went around the Jubilee roundabout. We joined the Eastbound A53 and After crossing the A500. We ran through Etruria and up through Cobridge and into Smallthorne via Sneyd Hill. We crossed the roundabouts and we ran down Ford Green Road. We turned left onto Chell Heath Road and stopped just off Duddell Road to drop somethinf off. We then rejoined Chell Heath Road and we turned right onto Ford Green Road. We ran around Saturn Road, Mars Street and Jupiter Street and we stopped again. Whilst stopped we saw D&G 157 & 159 both on the 'Nines' service. We ran back up to Smallthorne Roundabout and we turned left onto High Lane. We ran into Hanley and onto the ring road. We turned left onto Lichfield Street. At Joiners Square crossed the roundabout onto Victoria Road. We stopped at McDonalds to pick up food for Matthew. We continued up Victoria Road onto the A50 link road. We ran up to the A50 and we went West to Heron Cross. We turned left onto Blurton Road and we ran through Blurton. We turned right into Church Road and right again onto Beaconsfield Drive. We got home around 19:45. When we got back Matthew ate his McDonalds, which was a cheeseburger, fries and chicken nuggets washed down with a Coke. Matthew then chilled out on his computer until bedtime around 23:30... Mark

Trip to Fenton 18-06-2015

Today Matthew was in respite and going to his day service before going home. Matthew got up at 08:00 and had some breakfast and waited for the bus to turn up. Whilst waiting for his bus, Stanton's of Stoke minibus HRZ 7193 made an appearance.

A few minutes later Matthew's transport to his day service came... It was Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX.

We left the respite place and we travelled through Bentilee to Bucknall. We joined the A52 and followed around to joiners Square. We then went up Victoria Road before turnung right into manor Street. We tutned left onto to City Road and right onto Glebedale Road before reaching our destination. In the morning Matthew did communication skills. For dinner he had bacon & cheese oatcakes. After dinner it was time to go swimming. They walked onto Christchurch Street and onto Temple Street before joining onto City Road via Smithpool Road. After crossing over the road we saw D&G 112 working 'The Orange One' to Meir.

We turned right onto the private road and outside the baths we saw Copeland's Tours MIB 986 on a school swimming trip.

Matthew then went swimming. After he had finished his swmming session he came out of the pool and saw a second coach outside the baths. It was Copeland's Tours MIB 246.

We walked up the private road and onto City Road. Further up the road we saw D&G 189 on a #31 to Hanley.

Back at the day centre, Matthew got on the bus for the ride back home... It was Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We set off onto Glebedale Road and forwards onto Station Bridge Road. We carried on onto Heron Street. In Heron Cross we went straight across onto Blurton Road and over the A50. We carried on into Blurton along Blurton Road and forward onto Church Road. We turned right onto Beaconsfield Road and arrived home just before 15:00. Matthew had some toast and a drink. just after 16:00 we went to Hem Heath for tea. We drove onto the A5035 and left onto Stanley Matthews Way and into the car park. Matthew had a breakfast washed down with a drink of Coke followed by 'Mars attacks' with a scoop of ice cream. After we had finished eating we saw First Potteries 41514 running out of service and Stanton's of Stoke NEZ 9506. We drove to Trentham along the A5035 and we turned at New Inn Lane. We dropped a few things off on Pacific Drive and Constance Avenue and we saw First Potteries 42353 on a #21 service. We headed back onto New Inn Lane and we turned left onto The Lea and back onto the A5035. We turned left onto Magdalen Road and followed this road around onto Finstock Avenue. We dropped something off on Gainsboro Road before returning home. We got home around 18:00. Matthew helped to unpack his suitcase and he then chilled out on his computer until bedtime around 23:15...
