Trip to Hanley / Crewe 24-03-2020

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. He was also going to Crewe on the bus. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the day centre, we saw First Potteries 67154 on a #23 to Hanley.

When it was time to go out we went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street. In the distance we saw Temple Street church minibus RX18 GZW. We carried on along Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We waited for a bus towards Hanley. After a short wait we saw First Potteries 67156 on a #23 to Hanley. We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Christchurch Street. We turned left onto City Road and we joined the A52 to go under the railway line and over the A500. We continued onto Church Street and into the centre of Stoke. After a brief stop we continued around the one-way system onto Elenora Steet and right onto Copeland street. We turned left onto Glebe Street and we went under the railway line before turning left onto Station Road. We went past the railway station and due to roadworks we ran to the end of Station Road and turned right. We ran up Stoke Road and we turned right onto Avenue Road. At the roundabout we turned left onto College Road. After running the hill through Shelton we continued onto Cleveland Road and forwards onto Regent Road. We turned left onto Lower Bethesda Street and we crossed over the ring road onto Bethesda Street before we turned right onto John Street and into the bus station. We got up and got off the bus. We waited for a bus to Tunstall. A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 67651 on a #3 to Crewe. We got on the bus and we booked to Tunstall before we sat down. We set off out of the bus station and onto John Street. We turned right onto Bethesda Street and we went straight across onto Marsh Street. We turned right up onto Trinity Street and we went past the former RBS now a new shop. We turned left onto Stafford Street. After picking up more passenger outside of Debenhams we followed the road around to the left and then back onto Marsh Street. At the roundabout we went straight on onto Waterloo Road and we ran up the hill into Cobridge. We continued into Burslem and through the traffic lights onto Scotia Road. We went past the old Burslem PMT garage and we followed the road around to the left onto Williamson Street. We turned right onto Tunstall High Street and we continued North onto the A50. We ran through Goldenhill past the working mens club which is set to be demolished to make way for a new clubhouse and new houses. We continued along the A50 and down the bank into Kidsgrove. We ran under the railway line into Cheshire and we crossed over the A34. We continued into Church Lawton and then into Alsager. We continued Westwards along the B5077 under the M6 and into Radway Green. We followed the road to the right up Slaughter hill and we continued straight up into Haslington. We turned left onto Crewe Road and we re-joined the B5077 towards Crewe Green. We crossed over the roundabout onto the Westbound A534 and we ran towards Crewe railway station. We past the railway station and we continued for around 1/2 mile before turning right into Edlestone Road. We ran into town crossing over the railway line and forwards onto Chester Bridge. We followed the road around onto Delamere Street and we turned right into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we walked to the chip shop restaurant on the corner of Victoria Street. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards he had sausage chips and gravy washed down with a cup of Coke. The bus station will soon be re-developed should be complete by next year. After we had finished we walked back through the bus station we saw Arriva NW&W 2931 on layover. We waited for the bus back to Hanley. A few minutes later the bus appeared and it was First Potteries 65692. We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before sitting down. off out of the bus station onto Delamere Street and we followed the road around onto Chester Bridge. We ran forwards onto Edleston Road and we turned left onto the A534. We ran past the railway station and we continued up towards Haslington. We turned right onto Slaughter Hill and we ran back through Radway Green and into Alsager. We continued over the A34 and into Staffordshire and we ran under the railway line into Kidsgrove. We ran up the hill into Goldenhill and we continued into Sandyford. We joined Tunstall High Street and then we ran around the town centre and joined Scotia Road near to Asda. We ran up into Burslem and we continued along the A50 into Cobridge. We ran down the hill to the edge of Hanley and we went around the ring road to Town Road and we ran into Hanley. We ran down Quadrant Road and forwards onto Stafford Street. We ran across the shared space past the town hall and onto Bagnall Street. We ran forwards into the bus station. We got off the bus and we waited for a bus back to Fenton. A short time later we saw First Potteries 67155 on a #23 to Newstead. We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton. we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street we saw Harry Shaw YR17 CYL at the depot. We crossed over the ring road and we ran down onto Regent Road and forwards onto Cleveland Road. We ran down though Shelton along College Road. We turned right onto Avenue Road and left onto Stoke Road. We went passed the former chemists which is becoming a new dessert shop. and we ran down the hill and we turned left onto Station Road and past the railway station. We turned right onto Glebe Street and under the railway line an we ran around the one-way system in Stoke and stopped by Stoke Minster. We turned left onto Church Street and we crossed the A500. We ran under the railway line and we continued onto City Road where we saw Lucky Seven LT63 WRD. At the top of the hill we got up and got off the bus. We crossed the road and we walked onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs and Matthew chilled out in his room. Matthew chilled out in his room on his computer. We saw Afford rent-a-car KV19 NVB going towards Stoke.

Due to coronavirus not going to visit mum and dad today. Another vehicle seen was First Potteries 67156 on a #11 to Hanley.

For tea Matthew had Chicken & sausage Pasta Bake followed by a Bakewell tart. Later on Matthew chilled out in his room. He watched television and used his computer. Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the day centre, we saw Temple Street Church minibus RX18 GZW. We went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street. In the distance we saw Temple Street church minibus RX18 GZW. We carried on along Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We waited for a bus towards Stoke. After a short wait we saw First Potteries 44515 on a #23 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Stoke before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Christchurch Street. We turned left onto City Road. down under the railway line and into Stoke. We got off the bus and we decided to get back on and continued towards Shelton. After a brief stop we continued around the one-way system onto Elenora Steet and right onto Copeland street. We turned left onto Glebe Street and we went under the railway line before turning left onto Station Road. We went past the railway station and due to roadworks we ran to the end of Station Road and turned right. We ran up Stoke Road and we turned right onto Avenue Road. At the roundabout we turned left onto College Road. After running the hill through Shelton we continued onto Cleveland Road and forwards onto Regent Road. Once off the bus we walked up Lichfield Street we Right onto Old Hall Street. We turned left onto Parliament Row and we stopped at the pound bakery. Matthew picked up a ham sandwich. Afterwards we continued along Parliament Row and we stopped at Poundland. We brought a bottle of Coke and a twirl. Once we had finished in the shop we headed through Intu Potteries and down the ramp onto Quadrant Road. As we went under the shopping centre we saw First Potteries 63116 on a #7 to Hanley.

We turned left onto Bryan Street and we visited the cinema. In the cinema went to the toilet and afterwards had a hot dog. He went to see Frozen 2. at the cinema. When he had finished we set off along Bryan Street and onto Quadrant Road. We walked along Stafford Street and forwards onto Lichfield Street and back to the bus station. we saw Copeland's Tours MIB 104. We waited for a bus back to Fenton. Whilst we waited we saw First Potteries 67159 on a #23 to Newstead.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton. The bus was empty so Matthew took a picture inside First Potteries 67159 before we sat down towards the back of the bus.

We set off out of the bus station onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street we saw Harry Shaw YR17 CYL at the depot. We crossed over the ring road and we ran down onto Regent Road and forwards onto Cleveland Road. We ran down though Shelton along College Road. We turned right onto Avenue Road and left onto Stoke Road. Matthew chilled out in his room on his computer. before going out for the Christmas party Matthew watched buses out of the window. We saw silver minibus WN05 NUB going towards Longton.

As we were going out partying later on, we had a light tea of cheese on toast. Matthew got ready for the Christmas party and had a bath. After his bath he put a nice shirt on. He spent time in the living room and took a picture of Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX out of the window.

Later on when it was time to go Matthew went downstairs to get on a bus. Transport for the journey to Hanley was Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We crossed City Road onto Manor Street and we ran to the end where we turned left onto Victoria Road. We ran down the hill to Joiners Square and across the roundabout onto Lichfield Street. We joined the anti-clockwise ring road and we ran around to Town Road. We turned right onto Quadrant Road and right onto Bryan Street. We turned left onto Brewery Street and left onto Hope Street. We turned right onto New Hall Street and left onto Marsh Street where we got off the bus. Matthew took a picture of Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX before it ran off to park up.

Once of the bus we walked around the corner onto Trinity Street and we turned left onto Foundry Street. In foundry Street we saw Shelton Care Group PE67 XEU parked up.

We went into the club and Matthew had a glass of Coke. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards ha a selection of party foods including egg sandwiches, party rings, jammy dodgers, jam tarts and a slice of chocolate roll. He spent time dancing with his peer and staff and had a great night. when it was time to go home we walked onto Foundry Street and around the corner onto Trinity Street. We turned right onto Marsh Street and back to the car park. Transport for the journey back was Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We got on the bus and we sat down. We set off onto Marsh Street and we turned right onto Etruria Road. We ran down towards Festival park and we joined the Westbound A53. We ran up to Etruria and we joined the Southbound A500. We came off the A500 at Stoke road and we ran along the high level A500. We turned left onto the A52 and we went under the railway line. We ran forwards onto City Road and ran up the hill into Fenton. We turned right onto Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs and Matthew went to his room to chill out. Matthew went back to the room and went on his computer. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.
