Trip to Hanley / Bradwell 20-02-2020

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. He was also going out on the bus later on and to visit uncle Dave. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the day centre, we saw D&G Bus 44 on a #1A to Wood Lane.

Also seen was Stanton's of Stoke SO57 OKE going towards Heron Cross.

We went downstairs and we set off onto City Road. We waited at the bus stop by the flats for a bus towards Hanley. A short time later we saw Afford Rent-A-Car YM69 NTG.

Whilst at the bus stop Matthew noticed the trees from the blind school had been dug up and an old painted advert could be seen on the end of the terrace of houses, in preparation for the new sheltered housing complex being built. The bus turned the corner and as it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67158 on a #23 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off down City Road and we joined the A52 to go under the railway line and over the A500. We continued onto Church Street and into the centre of Stoke. After a brief stop we continued around the one-way system onto Elenora Steet and right onto Copeland street. We turned left onto Glebe Street and we went under the railway line before turning left onto Station Road. We went past the railway station and due to roadworks we ran to the end of Station Road and turned right. We ran up Stoke Road and we turned right onto Avenue Road. At the roundabout we turned left onto College Road. After running the hill through Shelton we continued onto Cleveland Road and forwards onto Regent Road. We turned left onto Lower Bethesda Street and we crossed over the ring road onto Bethesda Street before we turned right onto John Street. We entered the bus station and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we set off up Lichfield Street and we walked forwards onto Stafford Street. We stopped at Potteries Pantry and Matthew had his dinner. Matthew had sausage and cheese oatcakes and a can of Coke followed by a slice of lemon meringue. Whilst we ate dinner highlights of the bus sighting included Stanton's of Stoke TCE 646 on a #61 to Bradeley. After dinner Matthew went to the toilet. We set off onto Stafford Street aand we walked through Tontine Square. We stopped at the PDSA charity shop before continuing up to the Intu Potteries shopping centre. We went in Menkind and Matthew brought a little bus charm which he attached to his camera. We visited the Samsung Support centre and Edwards. Afterwards we walked around the corner onto Tontine Street and we went forwards onto Lichfield Street and back to the bus station. We waited for a bus towards Fenton. A short time later we saw First Potteries 67159 on a #23 to Newstead.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before we sat down. We set off onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We crossed over the ring road and we ran down onto Regent Road and forwards onto Cleveland Road. We ran down though Shelton along College Road and we ran down to the railway station. We turned right onto Glebe Street and under the railway line an we ran around the one-way system in Stoke and stopped by Stoke Minster. We turned left onto Church Street and we crossed the A500. We ran under the railway line and we continued onto City Road. At the top of the hill we got up and got off the bus. We crossed over City Road. we got in the car. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Smithpool Road. We turned left onto City Road and we headed down the road into Stoke. We ran under the railway line and we crossed the A500. We ran forwards onto Church Street and we ran around Stoke town centre on the one-way system. We turned left onto Lonsdale Street and we turned right onto Flemming Road. We turned right onto Campbell Place and we ran forwards onto Church Street. We ran forwards onto Hartshill Road and we went up the hill through Hartshill. We ran forwards onto George Street and we ran down the hill onto the one-way system. At the roundabout we turned right onto the A527. We ran through May Bank. We continued into Wolstanton and at the top of Porthill Bank. We ran forwards into Bradwell and we stopped at the pub. We stopped at the pub and Matthew went to the toilet. Matthew had a glass of Coke. When it was time to go we returned to the car for the trip back to Fenton. We set off onto Bradwell Lane and we crossed over the roundabout and ran through Wolstanton. We ran along the A527 through May Bank. We continued along the A527 and into Newcastle. We turned left onto Ryecroft and right onto Barracks Road. We ran past the bus station and we saw First Potteries 65728 on a #4A to Kidsgrove. We continued down to the A34. We turned left at the Avenue and we ran up to Hartshill Road. We ran down to Stoke and onto the one way system. We turned right onto Elenora Street and we followed the road around onto Copeland Street. We ran forwards onto Glebe Street and we followed the one way system onto Church Street. We crossed over the A500 onto City Road and we went under the railway line. We ran up the hill into Fenton and we turned right onto Smithpool Road. We turned left into Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs to chill out before going to see uncle Dave. We saw City Cabs WF11 MOA parked up nearby.

Matthew returned to his room and we saw silver minibus SF19 AXC going towards Heron Cross.

Later on we went to uncle Dave's. We went downstairs and we set off onto we set off onto Temple Street and at the end we turned left onto Smithpool Road we saw Intercity SF62 GZN. We went across the spare ground onto Willowdale Avenue and onto Whieldon Road and into uncle Dave's. Matthew had some cheesecake and a can of Fanta orange. For tea Matthew had chicken potatoes and carrots. Later on he had another slice of cheesecake and a few digestive biscuits and custard creams. Uncle Dave now has a biscuit tin. Matthew chilled out in uncle Dave's house using his computer and watching television. Uncle Dave also did his DJ set. A couple of hours later staff came to escort Matthew back home. We walked onto Whieldon Road. We got in the car and we set off along Whieldon Road. We turned onto Smithpool Road. We turned right onto Temple Street past the new building under construction, which is now getting near to completion. We continued back to the residential unit. Matthew went back to the room and went on his computer. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Trip to Werrington / Newcastle 11-01-2019

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. He was also going to Werrington and going to Newcastle for tea later on. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Whilst waiting to go to the day service we saw First Potteries 67601 on a #11 to Newcastle. Around 09:00 we set off on foot to the day centre. We walked onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street and to the day centre. At the day centre we saw Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX parked outside.

In the morning Matthew went to Werrington. Transport for the trip was Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We set off onto Glebedale Road and we turned right onto City Road. We turned left onto Victoria Road and we ran down the hill to Joiners Square. We turned right onto the A52 and we ran towards Bucknall. At Limekiln lights we followed the A52 to the right and we ran up the hill towards Ash Bank. We turned left at Brookhouse Lane and we ran up towards the dogs Home we turned left onto an un named road and we ran to the end and turned right onto Eaves Lane. We continued for a short distance at we stopped near to Wetley Moor Common. At the farm we met with aninmals. When we had finished we returned to Fenton on Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We set off along Eaves Lane a and we ran down to Brookhouse Lane. We re-joined the A52 and we ran down the hill into Bucknall. At Limekiln Lights we followed the road to the left and towards Joiners Square. We ran forwards onto the A52 past the university and alongside the railway line. We turned left onto City Road and we ran up the hill into Fenton. We turned right into Glebedale Road and back to the day centre. For dinner Matthew had sausage chips and gravy. After dinner Matthew went to the pub. We set off onto Christchurch Street and we stopped at the pub. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards had a glass of Coke. When it was time to go Matthew walked onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs and he chilled out in his room. He watched buses out of the window. We saw D&G Bus 114 on a #1 to Meir.

Later on we went to Newcastle in a car. We went downstairs and got in the car and set off onto Temple Street. We turned left into Christchurch Street and left onto City Road. We ran down the hill onto the A52 and we went under the railway line. We crossed over the A500 and we ran into Stoke and on the one way system. We followed the road onto Lonsdale Street and right onto Fleming Street. We turned right onto Campbell Place and we followed the road around back onto Church Street. We ran up the hill into Hartshill and edge the edge of Newcastle we ran onto George Street. We went forwards onto the ring road and we crossed the roundabout onto Ironmarket. We parked up and and we went to the pub. Matthew went to the toilet and had a glass of Coke. Matthew had a cheese and bacon beefburger with fries. For dessert he had chocolate fudge cake with ice cream. When we had finished we set off along Ironmarket to the High Street. We turned left onto Hassell Street and we walked past the bus station. We walked onto the ring road and past the new council building and into the park. We got back in the car and we returned to Fenton in a car. We set off onto the roundabout and we turned right onto barracks Road. We joined the Southbound A34 and we ran down to Trent Vale. We turned left onto Harpfields Road and we went forwards onto Keelings Drive. We turned left onto London Road and we ran through Boothen into Stoke. We ran around the one-way system and onto Church Street. We crossed over the A500 and under the railway line into Fenton. We ran up City Road and we turned right into Smithpool Road and left into Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went back to the room and went on his computer. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.
