Trip to Hanley / Bradeley 07-09-2021

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. He was also going out on the bus up to Bradeley. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the day centre, we saw grey minibus ???? DRC. Later on we went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street. In the distance we saw Temple Street church minibus RX18 GZW. We carried on along Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We waited for a bus towards Hanley. We continued along Christchurch Street and we walked on to City Road. We crossed over onto Manor Street. We continued forwards onto Leopold Street. We continued on Duncan Street and we saw ex City Cabs now taxi minibus PE11 RXA parked up nearby. We turned left onto Millicent Street and right onto George Street. We turned left onto Victoria Road to wait a bus to Hanley. A few minutes later a bus appeared and it was First Potteries 63034 on a #6 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked the Hanley before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off down Victoria Road and towards Joiners Square. At the roundabout we went forwards onto Lichfield Street. We turned left onto the ring road. We turned right onto Bethesda Street and right onto John Street and into the bus station. We got up and got off the bus and Matthew used the toilet. We headed down the bus station and Matthew decided to go to Bradeley. Whilst we waited we saw Stanton's of Stoke TCE 646 on a #61 to Bradeley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Bradeley before we sat down. We set off out of the bus station onto John Street and we ran down the hill to Bethesda Street. We ran past the museum and we ran forwards onto Marsh Street. We turned right onto Trinity street and at the top of the hill we turned left onto Stafford Street. We ran forwards onto Quadrant Road and we went across the ring road along Town Road. We ran forwards onto the A5272 and into Sneyd Green. We turned right onto Milton Road and we turned right onto Ralph Drive we ran down the hill before turning left onto Repington Road. We ran through Berwick Road. At the end of the road we turned right onto the A53. we turned right onto Norton Drive and we turned left onto Brownley Road and right onto Community Drive. We ran up to Smallthorne and we turned right onto Ford Green Road. We ran to the bottom and we turned left onto Chell Heath Road and we ran up to Bradeley Village. We got up and got off the bus. Matthew then decided he wanted to go into the sheltered housing. When he realised the door was locked he saw someone in the office ad tapped on the window for them to let him in. Surprisingly they did. He sat in the main lounge and I gave him a can of Coke from out of the bag. After he had finished the can he visited the toilet. When we left we waved to the lady in the office so that she knew we had left and then we went back to the bus stop. A few minutes later the bus turned up and it was dud Stanton's of Stoke TCE 646 on a #61 to Hanley. We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down. We set off onto After a short wait the bus returned onto Chell Heath road and we turned right onto Ford Green Road. We turned left into Community Drive and left onto Brownley Road before turning right into Norton Drive. We continued up through Sneyd Green and we turned left onto the A53. We turned right onto Berwick Road and we continued onto Repington Road. We turned right into Ralph Drive we saw Stanton's of Stoke 6052 VT on a #60 to Brown Edge. We turned left into Milton Road past the former Sneyd Arms pub which is now being worked on. We ran up the hill to the A5272. We turned left and we headed into Hanley. We entered town along Quadrant Road and we ran along Stafford Street and past the town hall into Bagnall Street. We ran into the bus station and we got up and got of the bus. Matthew went to the toilet. We waited for a bus back to Fenton. A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 67152 on a #23 to Newstead.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton. As the bus was empty Matthew took a picture inside First Potteries 67152 before we sat down.

We set off onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street and we saw Harry Shaw YD63 FFR parked up. We crossed over the ring road and we ran down onto Regent Road and forwards onto Cleveland Road. We ran down though Shelton along College Road. We turned right onto Avenue Road and left onto Stoke Road. We ran down the hill and we turned left onto Station Road and past the railway station. We turned right onto Glebe Street and under the railway line an we ran around the one-way system in Stoke and stopped by Stoke Minster. We turned left onto Church Street and we crossed the A500 and we ran under the railway line. After climbing up the hill into Fenton we turned right into Christchurch Street where we got up and got off the bus. We then walked back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to his room to chill out and watch buses out of the window. For tea Matthew had Spaghetti and Tomato Sauce followed by treacle tart and custard. We went downstairs downstairs and we got in a car. We set off onto Temple Street where we saw City Cabs DE17 OZM. We turned left onto Christchurch Street and we turned left onto City Road. We ran forwards onto the A52 and we went under the railway line. We crossed over the A500 and we went around the one way system. We turned left onto Lonsdale Street and right onto Fleming Road. We turned right onto Campbell Place and we left onto Church Street where we stopped. We got up and got off the bus. We walked down the road to pub. Matthew went to the toilet and had a glass of Coke. When we had finished we returned to Fenton. We got in a car and we set off around the one way system. We turned right onto Liverpool Road and we veered right onto Elonora Street. We turned right onto Copeland Street and we ran forwards onto Glebe Street. We turned left onto Church Street and we crossed over the A500. We went under the railway line and up City Road into Fenton. We turned right onto Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to his room to chill out. Matthew spent time in his room watching television and using his computer. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. He was also going out on the bus later on and to visit uncle Dave. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the day centre, we saw D&G Bus 44 on a #1A to Wood Lane.

We went downstairs and we set off onto City Road. We waited at the bus stop by the flats for a bus towards Hanley. A short time later we saw Afford Rent-A-Car YM69 NTG.

Whilst at the bus stop Matthew noticed the trees from the blind school had been dug up and an old painted advert could be seen on the end of the terrace of houses, in preparation for the new sheltered housing complex being built. The bus turned the corner and as it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67158 on a #23 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off down City Road and we joined the A52 to go under the railway line and over the A500. We continued onto Church Street and into the centre of Stoke. After a brief stop we continued around the one-way system onto Elenora Steet and right onto Copeland street. We turned left onto Glebe Street and we went under the railway line before turning left onto Station Road. We went past the railway station and due to roadworks we ran to the end of Station Road and turned right. We ran up Stoke Road and we turned right onto Avenue Road. At the roundabout we turned left onto College Road. After running the hill through Shelton we continued onto Cleveland Road and forwards onto Regent Road. We turned left onto Lower Bethesda Street and we crossed over the ring road onto Bethesda Street before we turned right onto John Street. We entered the bus station and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we set off up Lichfield Street and we walked forwards onto Stafford Street. We stopped at Potteries Pantry and Matthew had his dinner. Matthew had sausage and cheese oatcakes and a can of Coke followed by a slice of lemon meringue. Whilst we ate dinner highlights of the bus sighting included Stanton's of Stoke TCE 646 on a #61 to Bradeley. After dinner Matthew went to the toilet. We set off onto Stafford Street aand we walked through Tontine Square. We stopped at the PDSA charity shop before continuing up to the Intu Potteries shopping centre. We went in Menkind and Matthew brought a little bus charm which he attached to his camera. We visited the Samsung Support centre and Edwards. Afterwards we walked around the corner onto Tontine Street and we went forwards onto Lichfield Street and back to the bus station. We waited for a bus towards Fenton. A short time later we saw First Potteries 67159 on a #23 to Newstead.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before we sat down. We set off onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We ran forwards onto Church Street and we ran around Stoke town centre on the one-way system. We turned left onto Lonsdale Street and we turned right onto Flemming Road. We turned right onto Campbell Place and we ran forwards onto Church Street. We ran forwards onto Hartshill Road and we went up the hill through Hartshill. We ran forwards onto George Street and we ran down the hill onto the one-way system. At the roundabout we turned right onto the A527. We ran through May Bank. We continued into Wolstanton and at the top of Porthill Bank. We ran forwards into Bradwell and we stopped at the pub. We stopped at the pub and Matthew went to the toilet. Matthew had a glass of Coke. When it was time to go we returned to the car for the trip back to Fenton. We set off onto Bradwell Lane and we crossed over the roundabout and ran through Wolstanton. We ran along the A527 through May Bank. We continued along the A527 and into Newcastle. We turned left onto Ryecroft and right onto Barracks Road. We ran past the bus station and we saw First Potteries 65728 on a #4A to Kidsgrove. We continued down to the A34. We turned left at the Avenue and we ran up to Hartshill Road. We ran down to Stoke and onto the one way system. We turned right onto Elenora Street and we followed the road around onto Copeland Street. We ran forwards onto Glebe Street and we followed the one way system onto Church Street. We crossed over the A500 onto City Road and we went under the railway line. We ran up the hill into Fenton and we turned right onto Smithpool Road. We turned left into Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs to chill out before going to see uncle Dave. We saw City Cabs WF11 MOA parked up nearby.

Matthew returned to his room and we saw silver minibus SF19 AXC going towards Heron Cross.

Later on we went to uncle Dave's. We went downstairs and we set off onto we set off onto Temple Street and at the end we turned left onto Smithpool Road we saw Intercity SF62 GZN. We went across the spare ground onto Willowdale Avenue and onto Whieldon Road and into uncle Dave's. Matthew had some cheesecake and a can of Fanta orange. For tea Matthew had chicken potatoes and carrots. Later on he had another slice of cheesecake and a few digestive biscuits and custard creams. Uncle Dave now has a biscuit tin. Matthew chilled out in uncle Dave's house using his computer and watching television. Uncle Dave also did his DJ set. A couple of hours later staff came to escort Matthew back home. We walked onto Whieldon Road. We got in the car and we set off along Whieldon Road. We turned onto Smithpool Road. We turned right onto Temple Street past the new building under construction, which is now getting near to completion. We continued back to the residential unit. Matthew went back to the room and went on his computer. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.
