Trip to Fenton / Newcastle 24-05-2017

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. We also saw former M&M coaches minibus N617 VSS for sale on E-bay. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Whilst waiting to go to the day service We saw First Potteries 63177 on a #11 to Newcastle. At 09:00 we set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street and to the day centre, where we saw Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX parked up.

In the morning Matthew went to the doctor to get his test results from the other day. The results were clear so they went to Newcastle. We walked up the road to the bus stop and we waited for a first Potteries bus to Newcastle. A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 63098 on a #11 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre along Church Street. After a brief stop in Stoke we continued along church Street and forwards onto Hartshill Road. We ran up the hill and into Hartshill. We ran forwards onto George Street and we ran down the hill into Newcastle. We turned left at the roundabout onto Barracks Road and into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Once of the bus we left the bus station and walked up CastleWalk. We turned right onto Ironmarket and we visited the papershop. Matthew brought a can of Coke. We walked back up Iron market and we sat on a bench. Matthew drank his can of Coke. We walked around the corner onto High Street. We sat down on a seat for a while and then carried on down High Street. We turned left onto Hassell Street and we walked back to the bus station where we saw D&G Bus 121 on a #94 to Congleton.

We sat in the bus station and we waited for a First bus going back to Fenton. A few minutes later First Potteries 63171 on a #11 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station onto Barracks Road and we ran up to the Jubilee roundabout. We ran onto the A53 and around the one-way system onto the A52. We ran up George Street into Hartshill and we ran down the hill into Stoke town centre. After a brief stop we continued along Church Street out of Stoke and over the A500. We ran under the railway line and we continued onto City Road. At the top of the hill we got up and got off the bus. We then crossed over City Road. Matthew used the toilet in the car park. We then went back to the day centre. For dinner Matthew had ham sandwich followed by cake. In the afternoon Matthew went to Central forest park on Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We set off onto Glebedale Road and we turned left onto City Road. We ran down the road and under the railway line before we turned right onto the A500. We ran North up to Etruria and we turned right onto the A53. We ran past Festival park and up to Cobridge and we saw First Potteries 42552 on a #100 Bradeley circular service. We turned right onto Waterloo and we ran down to the ring road. We ran out of town along Town Road and forwards onto the A5272. We ran through Birches Head to Sneyd Green and we stopped at Central Forest Park. At he park we saw Blackfriars minibus CN59 AEW. Matthew had a can of Pepsi and then we returned to Fenton on Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We set off onto the Northbound A5272 and we ran up to Smallthorne roundabouts. We turned left onto Moorland Road and we ran down to Burslem. We turned left onto Waterloo Road and we ran down to Cobridge. We ran though Festival Park and we crossed back under the A53. We joined the B5046 and we ran through Cliffe Vale through to Snow Hill. We turned right onto Stoke Road and we ran down the hill. We turned left onto Station Road and we went past the railway station. We went forwards onto the A52 and then we turned left onto City Road. We turned right onto Glebedale Road and back to the day centre. We then returned to the residential unit on foot. We set off onto Christchurch Street and we turned left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to his room and used his computer and watched buses out of the window. We saw Meadows minibus DX65 DMF going towards Longton.

We walked onto Temple Street and we turned right into Christchurch Street. Matthew then went to Stoke in a Lucky Seven taxi. We set off out of Christchurch Street and we turned left onto Baker Street. We turned left onto Glebedale Road and left again into City Road. We ran down the hill onto the A52 and under the railway line. We crossed over A500 and we ran into Stoke. We went around the one-way system onto Lonsdale Street and we followed it around onto Flemming Road and we turned left onto London Road and we saw City Cabs minibus YX61 VVO. We then turn left into Iceland. Matthew went into the shop and brought some shopping for the week. When we had finished we returned to Fenton in a Lucky Seven taxi. We set off onto London Road and we ran into the one-way system around Stoke. We followed the route onto Church Street and right onto Elenora Street. we turned right onto Copeland Street and left onto Glebe Street. We turned right into Lytton Street and we ran parallel to the railway line up to City Road. We ran up the hill and we turned right into Smithpool Road. We turned left into Temple Street and back to the residential unit. For tea Matthew had shepperds pie followed by cake. Later on Matthew had a bath followed by toast for supper. Matthew then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark
