Trip to Norton Green / Smallthorne 19-05-2018

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. Matthew was also going to the Auto Extravangzer at Norton Green later. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. Across the road we saw First Potteries 67157 on a #23 to Hanley. Also seen was Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX outside the residential unit.

Transport for today it was Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We set off onto Temple Street and we ran down to Smithpool Road We turned right and left onto City Road. We crossed the A500 and we ran up the A53 through Cobridge. We turned left onto Sandbach Road and we climbed the hill to Smallthorne roundabouts where we saw First Potteries 41498 on a #8 to Hanley. We crossed over onto Ford Green Road and we ran down through Smallthorne and up the other side into Norton. We crossed Norton Lane and we ran down the hill in to Norton Green. We turmed right into Ball Lane and right onto the road leading to Heakley Hall Farm. We parked up and we went to look at the classic cars and other vehicles. We saw preserved Lymers URE 281 at the show.

Matthew went onto the bus and had his photo taken. Matthew went to the toilet and Matthew had a burger washed down with a can of Coke. After looking around the cars, buses, truck and steam engine Matthew returned to Fenton on Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We ran Westwards towards Ball Lane and we turned left onto the B5051 and we saw First Potteries 41499 on a #8A to Endon. We crossed over Norton Lane and we ran down the hill through Norton. We caught up with First Potteries 32649 on a #8 to Hanley. We continued up through Smallthorne and we crossed over Smallthorne roundabouts where we saw First Potteries 32639 on a #8 to Ball Green. We continued onto Sandbach Road and onto the Westbound A53. We ran to Etruria and we joined the Southbound A500. We came off the A500 onto Wheildon Road and we turned left onto Smithpool Road. We turned right onto Temple Street past the new building under construction and back to the residential unit. Matthew went back to the room and went on his computer. Later on Matthew had a party at the house for one of the other service users. Matthew ate egg sandwiches and egg baps and drank some Cherryade and Limeade. After the party Matthew returned to his room to watch buses. We saw Lucky Seven SM12 HGX going towards Longton.

A few minutes later we saw blue minibus BK67 YGC going towards Stoke.

Later on Matthew went out for tea in Smallthorne in an ABC Supreme taxi. We set off onto temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto City Road and we ran down the hill and we turned right onto the A52. We ran past the railway station and on towards Joiners Square. At the roundabout we turned left onto Lichfield Street and we ran up the hill to the ring road. We went anti-clockwise around town and we turned right onto Waterloo Road. We ran through Cobridge up to Burslem and we turned right onto Moorland Road. We ran to the top of the hill and we turned into the pub. Matthew went to the toilet and then had a glass of Coke. Matthew had a mixed grill burger for tea followed by sticky toffee pudding. when it was time to go home we returned on an ABC Supreme taxi. We set off onto Moorland Road and we ran down the hill into Burslem. We turned left into Waterloo Road and we ran through Cobridge. At the end we turned left onto the ring road. We went clockwise around Hanley and we turned left onto Lichfield Street. We ran down the hill to Joiners Square and we crossed over the roundabout onto Victoria Road. We ran up the hill and we turned sharp right onto City Road. We turned left onto Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went up to his room to chill out and use his computer. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.
