Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. He was also going to see Grandma later on and going to the pub and returning to Blurton for a long weekend. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Whilst he was waiting to out we saw First Potteries 67153 on a #11 to Newcastle. Around 09:00 we went downstairs and out of the unit. We set off outside and we saw Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU outside the residential unit.

We set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street and we saw Britannia Travel S100 KKE going towards Hanley.

We continued along Christchurch Street and to the day centre where we saw Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX parked up outside.

In the morning Matthew did some baking and made cupcakes. For dinner Matthew had sausage chips and gravy followed by a cupcake. In the afternoon Matthew went to a coffee morning and ate cakes and won a box of biscuits in the raffle. When it was time to return to the residential unit we set of on foot onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto Temple Street and we went into the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to his room and I was already waiting for him. We transferred his pictures back onto his camera and we got ready to go to Blurton. We went downstairs and we got into the car. We drove onto Temple Street. We turned right onto Christchurch Street and right onto Station Bridge Road. We followed the road around onto Heron Street and into Heron Cross where we saw E-zec patient transport YJ16 GHV heading towards Longton. We went through the traffic lights and forwards onto Blurton Road. We continued through Blurton and we turned right onto Church Street. We turned right onto Beaconsfield Drive. We got home around 15:10. When we got home Matthew had toast and a glass of orange Irn Bru. Today we were catching the 15:56 to Newcastle as we were going to the pub via Grandma's House. We set off around 15:45 on foot to the bus stop all the way onto Magdalen Road. Whilst we waited for our bus we saw First Potteries 67637 on a #22 to Longton.

A few minutes later we saw a bus come around the corner. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 63100 on a #22 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle and sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off onto the A5035 and we went over the railway line into Trentham. As we turned right into New Inn Lane we saw First Potteries 41500 on a #21A to the Trentham Hotel. We ran up the hill into Hanford and we turned right into Wilson Road. We ran down Church Lane We continued down onto the A34 where we saw Gardiners BX14 KRN going Northwards. We crossed under the A500 and we ran into Trent Vale where we saw ABC Supreme FJ18 DNX. We turned right into Harpfields Road and saw First Potteries 41500 on the final #22 turn. We continued forwards on Hilton Road and we turned into the hospital. We ran through and we saw First Potteries 32633 on a #25 to Hanley and ABC Supreme ST56 MUE. We turned right onto the A34. A couple of stops down the road we got up and got off the bus. Matthew took another picture of First Potteries 63100 as it continued towards Newcastle.

We crossed over the A34 and we walked up the hill to Grandma's house. Matthew had a can of Irn Bru and used her computer. As mum was at work, grandad gave us a lift to the pub in his new car. We set off just after 17:40 and we ran down Victoria Street. We turned left onto the A34 and we saw First Potteries 63098 on a #101 to Hanley. and we ran southwards into Trent Vale. We carried on down the A34 and we went into the pub. Matthew had a brunch with oatcakes followed by toffee sponge pudding with custard. Whilst we ate highlights of the passing buses included Robin Hood YJ10 JZF going Northwards and First Potteries 65036 on a #101 to Hanley. Once we had finished eating we went out to catch a bus towards home. We had missed the last #22 to Blurton by 15 minutes and since the timetable change the last bus of Newcastle is 18:09! We decided to catch a bus as far as Trentham and walk the rest of the way. We crossed over London Road and we waited at the stop opposite the pub. A few minutes later the bus appeared and as it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67650 on a #21A to the Trentham Hotel.

We got on the bus and we booked to the Trentham Hotel before we sat down to wards the back of the bus. We set off onto the A34 and we went under the A500 into Hanford. We turned left onto Church Lane and we ran up to the top of the hill. We turned right into Wilson Road and at the end we turned left onto New Inn Lane. We ran down the hill past the Man in Space and forwards onto the A5035. We headed left and we stopped out side the Trentham Hotel where we got up and got off the bus. Matthew got another picture of First Potteries 67650 before it returned to Hanley on the last #21A of the evening.

Once we let the bus go we headed along the A5035 towards Blurton. We crossed over the railway line into Blurton and we continued past the Hem Heath pub. We crossed over the A5035 to have a better look at the Party Bus we had seen earlier and we saw that it was Party Bus L102 GBO.

We crossed over the road and we continued walking past the Newstead Industrial estate. We turned into the estate and we got home around 19:30. Back at Blurton we wrote e-mails and worked on the Blog. Matthew had a glass of Irn Bru as well as a bag of Frazzles. We then chilled out watching music videos on the television and Matthew went to bed around 00:30... Mark
