Trip to Longton / Congleton 13-03-2019

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. This was the day Matthew read of the redevelopment of Congleton Leisure Centre being approved. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Whilst waiting for time to got to the day centre Matthew spent time in his room watching buses. We saw First Potteries 67647 on a #23 to Hanley. Around Around 09:00 we set off on foot to the day centre. We walked onto Temple Street and right onto Christchurch Street. We continued along Christchurch Street and into the day centre. We continued to the day centre and we saw silver minibus YT12 VHP. At the day centre we saw Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX.

In the morning Matthew went out on the bus. We set off on foot onto Glebedale Road and we walked around the corner onto City Road. We walked up to the bus stop near to Philpott's and we waited for a bus towards Longton. A few minutes later we saw D&G 112 on a #1 to Meir.

We got on the bus and we booked to Longton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We carried on along City Road and we continued forwards onto King Street. We passed through Foley we saw dud First Potteries 67699 on a #6 to Hanley. and we ran under the railway line into Longton before turning right into Baths Road We entered Longton Transport Interchange and we got up and got off the bus. Once of the bus we saw First Potteries 63100 on a #22 to Newcastle. Once off the bus we walked around the corner onto The Strand. We stopped at Barclays bank and then we cross over the road onto Transport Lane. We stopped at a cafe at the bottom end of The Bennett Precinct and Matthew brought a can of Coke. We walked through the precint and we came out opposite to the bus stop. We waited on the main bus stop on The Strand for a bus back to Fenton. A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 63177 on a #6A to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down The Strand and we ran under the railway line onto King Street. We ran through Foley into Fenton and forwards onto City Road. We turned right into Victoria Road and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we walked back to the residential unit. We set off along City Road and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We turned right onto Temple street and back to the residential unit. Later on we went to Congleton by car. We went downstairs and we got in the car. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We crossed over City Road onto Manor Street and at the end of Manor Street we turned left onto Victoria Road. We ran down the hill and we cross over the roundabout at Joiners Square. We went straight onto Lichfield Street and we joined the anti-clockwise ring road. We turned right onto Waterloo Road and we ran through Cobridge. We continued through to Burslem onto Scotia Road and forwards onto the Tunstall by-pass. We ran past the police station onto the top end of Tunstall High Street. We continued through Goldenhill and down the hill to Kidsgrove. We continued under the railway line and over the A34. We followed the A50 to the right and we ran Northwards to Arclid. We turned right onto the A534 and we ran forwards into Congleton town centre. We parked up in the town centre and we visited Bear Grills cafe by the bus station. Matthew had a breakfast washed down with a can of Coke. When we had finished we walked across the A54 and onto Worall Street. We went to the leisure centre and Matthew went to the toilet. When we had finished we returned to Fenton by car. We set off out of town Northwards along the A54. We turned left onto the A34 and we ran Southwards out off Congleton. We ran through Scholar Green and into Talke. By the pub we followed the A34 to the left. When we got to the roundabout we joined the Southbound A500. We ran through Longport and Etruria and we came off the A500 at Stoke. When we came off the A500 in Stoke and we turned left onto City Road. We went under the railway line. We ran up the hill into Fenton and we turned right onto Smithpool Road. We turned left into Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Later on Matthew chilled out in his room. Matthew used his computer. Later on we went downstairs and out onto Temple Street. We went in a car to Bentilee. We set off onto along Temple Street and onto Christchurch Street. We turned right up Baker Street and left onto Glebdale Road. We turned right onto City Road and at the roundabout we turned sharp left onto Victoria Road. We ran down the hill to Joiners Square and and we went forwards on Lichfield Street. At Hanley joined the anti-clockwise ring road and we turned right onto Bucknall New Road. We crossed over the traffic lights and forwards onto the A52. We veered right and we joined the A5272. We ran to the other end of Bentilee and we turned left onto Beverley Drive. We turned right onto Cowley Way and left onto Waverton Road. We stopped in the estate and we stopped at a house. Matthew went to a themed party. After the party Matthew returned to Fenton by car We set off onto Waverton Street and we turned onto Cowley Way. We turned left onto Beverley Drive and left onto the A5272. We turned left onto the A5272 and at Adderley Green we turned right onto Anchor Road. We ran up the hill and down the other side and into Longton town centre. We joined the one way system and due to the road been closed eastbound from Market Street to Commercial Street we turned right into Chadwick Street. We turned right into Normacot Road and we crossed the roundabout onto The Strand. We ran under the railway line and forwards onto King Street. We ran through Foley into Fenton and forwards onto City Road. We turned left onto Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs and to his room to chill out. He watched Matthew used his computer and watched music videos on the television. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.
