Trip to Hanley / Kidsgrove 01-08-2024

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going out on the bus. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the day centre, we saw Afford rent-a-car MT70 AFZ. Later on we went downstairs and we set off onto City Road. We walked down to the bus stop outside the flats. On the way we saw Copeland's Tours MIB 394. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67154 on a #23 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we joined the A52 and ran under the railway line. After crossing over the A500 we ran into Stoke town centre along Church Street. We turned right onto Shelton Old Road. We ran forwards onto Stoke Road. We ran under the railway line and up through Shelton. We ran up Broad Street and we turned right onto the anti-clockwise ring road. We turned left onto Bethesda Street and right onto John Street. We climbed the hill and up into the bus station. We got up and got off the bus and Matthew visited the toilet. We waited for a bus to Kidsgrove. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67176 on a #7 to Kidsgrove.

We got on the bus and we booked to Kidsgrove. The bus was empty, so Matthew took a picture inside First Potteries 67176 before we sat down towards the back of the bus.

We set off out of the bus station and we ran down John Street. We turned right onto Bethesda Street and we crossed Broad street onto Marsh Street. We turned right onto Trinity Street and we stopped on Stafford Street to to pick up more passengers before we left town along Quadrant Road. We crossed over the ring road and we headed out of town towards Sneyd Green along Town Road and we continued to Smallthorne roundabouts and we continued forwards onto High Lane. At the end of High Lane the end we turned left onto the A527 and we turned right onto Turnhurst Road and we ran up to Packmoor. We continues into Newchapel and onto the High Street. We turned left onto Pennyfields Roads and at the roundabout we went onto Newchapel Road. We ran through the estate via Galleys bank and we ran into Kidsgrove and the bus terminated on King Street where we got up and got off the bus. We continued along Market Street and we went to Dougie Mac charity shop. Matthew brought a can of Coke and a couple of chocolate bars. When we had finished we went out and Matthew decided he needed the toilet. There was a pub next door so we visited the pub. Matthew used the toilet and then we brought a glass of Coke. After Matthew had finished his drink we went outside to wait for the next bus back to Hanley. We walked back onto Market Street and we turned left onto Attwood Street and we turned left onto Liverpool Road and up to the bus stop. We crossed over the road and we saw D&G Bus 49 on a #95 to Biddulph.

A short time later the bus appeared. It was First Potteries 63363 on a #3A to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down. We set off along the A50. We ran up the hill into Goldenhill and then forwards through Sandyford past the new retail park into Tunstall. We ran down the High Street. We continued down the High Street and we ran past the former Co-operative bank. We turned left onto Williamson Street. At the roundabout we turned right onto Scotia Road and past the the old bus garage before running up the hill into Burslem Town centre. We ran through the light onto Waterloo Road and up the hill into Cobridge. We ran down the hill towards Hanley and then up into town along Hope Street and Stafford Street. We turned right at the end past the town hall and onto Bagnall Street before entering the bus station where we got up got off. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards waited for a bus back to Fenton. The bus appeared and it was First Potteries 63100 on a #11 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton we sat down. We set off up set off onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We turned left onto the ring road and left onto Lichfield Street and we turned right onto Birch Terrace. We followed the road around onto Charles Street and we turned right onto Old Hall Street. We crossed over the ring road onto Bucknall New Road. We ran down the hill through Limekiln lights and we turned right onto Dividy Road. We turned left onto Beverley Drive and right onto Dawlish Drive. We ran through the estate and back onto the A5272. We ran up to Adderley Green and we saw First Potteries 35271 parked in the garage. At the roundabout we turned right onto Anchor Road. We turned right onto Bambury Street and we ran to the end we turned left onto Galsworthy Road and left onto Heathcote Street. We turned right onto Longley Road and left onto Ashwood. We turned right onto Anchor Road and we ran under the railway line. We turned left onto Markets Street and we followed the one-way system onto Commerce Street and right onto The Strand. After a brief stop we ran down the Strand and under the railway line onto King Street. We continued down through Fenton and forwards onto City Road. We went past KFC and we got up and got off at the Travers Court bus stop outside the block of flats. We crossed over City Road and we cut through to the residential unit. We went upstairs and chilled out in his room to use his computer and watch buses. Later on we went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street. In the distance we saw Temple Street church minibus RX18 GZW. We carried on along Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We stopped at the Co-op and Matthew had a sandwich for breakfast and bottle of Coke. We waited for a bus towards Hanley. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67154 on a #23 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Shelton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Christchurch Street. We turned left onto City Road. and we joined the A52 to go under the railway line and over the A500. We continued onto Church Street and into the centre of Stoke. After a brief stop we continued around the one-way system onto Elenora Steet and right onto Copeland street. We turned left onto Glebe Street and we went under the railway line before turning left onto Station Road. We went past the railway station and and turned right. We ran up Stoke Road and we turned right onto Avenue Road. We turned right onto Stoke Road and we ran up the hill past the college. We crossed over the canal and we continued onto Snow Hill. We got up and got off the bus Once off the bus we crossed over the road and we went along Wellesley Street. We saw Edison Pace School DE67 PZL. We continued along Wellesley Street and we turned left onto College Road and we walked to the park. We went to the playground and Matthew used the play equipment. We set off across College Road and we walked along Stoke Road. we walked to the bus stop by the College. A few mintues later we saw our bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67154 on a #23 to Newstead.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Snow Hill Before we turned left onto Copeland Street. We continued forwards onto Glebe Street and we followed the road around onto Church Street. We crossed over the A500 and we ran under the railway line. After climbing up the hill into Fenton we turned right into Christchurch Street where we got up and got off the bus. We then walked back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to his room to chill out and watch buses out of the window. Later on Matthew had a bath and had toast for supper. Matthew went on his computer until bedtime around 23:00... Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going out on the bus. He was also going to the pub, going to see Grandma and going to Blurton. Matthew got up at 08:30 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. I the morning Matthew went out to catch the bus. We went downstairs and cut through onto City Road and we saw Afford rent-a-car YN23 HHR. We waited at the bus stop for a bus towards Hanley. A short time later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67154 on a #23 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off down City Road and we joined the A52 to go under the railway line and over the A500. We continued onto Church Street and into the centre of Stoke. After a brief stop we continued around the one-way system onto Elenora Street and right onto Copeland street. We turned left onto Glebe Street and we went under the railway line before turning left onto Station Road. We went past the railway station ans we turned right onto College Road. After running the hill through Shelton we continued onto Cleveland Road and forwards onto Regent Road. We turned left onto Lower Bethesda Street and we crossed over the ring road onto Bethesda Street. We turned right onto John Street and once in the bus station we got up and we got off the bus. Once off the bus we set off on foot onto Lichfield Street and we went straight onto Stafford Street and we headed into the shopping centre. We went up the the second floor level and we went to the cafe. Matthew had a can of coke and a cake. When we had finished we walked through the shopping centre and we went into the lift to the ground floor and out onto Tontine Square. We walked down Tontine Street and onto Lichfield Street and back to the bus station. We waited for a bus towards Fenton. As short time later we saw Arriva Midlands 2977 on a #64 to Market Drayton. A few minutes later the bus came on stand. We saw it was First Potteries 67155 on a #23 to Newstead.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before we sat down. We set off onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We crossed over the ring road and we ran down onto Regent Road and forwards onto Cleveland Road. We ran down though Shelton along College Road and we ran down to the railway station. We turned right onto Glebe Street and under the railway line an we ran around the one-way system in Stoke and stopped by Stoke Minster. We turned left onto Church Street and we crossed the A500. We ran under the railway line and we continued onto City Road. At the top of the hill we got up and got off the bus. We walked up City Road and we turned left at Victoria Square and down Victoria Road to Aldi. Matthew did his weekly shop and afterwards we got a Lucky Seven taxi to the residential unit. We got in the car and we set off onto Victoria Road. We turned right onto Manor Street and right onto City Road. We turned left onto Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs and Matthew chilled out in his room. Later on Matthew went out to fetch dinner. We went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Smithpool Road. We picked up the food and we walked back along Smithpool Road and right onto Temple Street. We went upstairs and Matthew had sausage chips and gravy washed down with a can of Irn Bru. Matthew chilled in his room and waited for me to come and pick him up. I arrived just before 15:00 and Matthew came downstairs. We cut through onto City Road and we waited at the bus stop by the flats. We saw D&G Bus 126 on a #1A to Audley.

We decided to turn this bus down and wait for the following First bus. Whilst we waited we saw Starsleeper BU55 BED heading towards Stoke.

A short time later we saw the bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67179 on a #11 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre along Church Street. After a brief stop in Stoke we continued along church Street and forwards onto Hartshill Road and we saw blue minibus V604 MBL. We ran up the hill and into Hartshill. We ran forwards onto George Street and we ran down the hill into Newcastle. We turned left at the roundabout onto Barracks Road and into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we had a look around to see what we might catch. We saw D&G Bus 49 on a #94B to Bradwell.

Another vehicle seen was First Potteries 67180 on a #99 to Chell.

A short time later we saw another bus. It was First Potteries 35943 running out of service.

It dropped onto the stand and it became a #25 to Hanley. So we decided to catch this bus. We got on the bus and we booked to the hospital before going upstairs. The rear of the top deck was empty, so Matthew took a picture inside First Potteries 35943 before we sat down.

We set off out of the bus station onto Barracks Road. We ran Southwards onto the A34 and we got up and got off the bus by the Cherry Tree. We got off the bus and Matthew took a picture of First Potteries 35943 as it continued towards Hanley.

Once off the bus we headed along the A34 and we went up the hill towards Grandma's. At Grandma's Matthew had toast and a can of Irn Bru and used her computer. When it was time to go we went to the pub in the car via uncle Daves house. We set off just after 17:30 and we set off onto Victoria Street. We joined the Southbound A34 and we turned left onto The Avenue. At the end we turned right onto Hartshill Road. We ran down to Stoke and onto the one way system. We turned right onto Elenora Street and we followed the road around onto Copeland Street. We ran forwards onto Glebe Street and we followed the one way system onto Church Street. We crossed over the A500. We turned right onto the A500. We veered left into Fenton to pick up uncle Dave. We set off back down towards Stoke and onto the A500. We turned left onto Church Street and and we went around the one-way system. We turned left onto London Road and we headed into the West End, and we ran past the former Oak Tree pub which has now been demolished. We ran to the end of London Road and we sat at the light waiting to turn right onto the A34. We continued up to the pub and we parked up. We walked into the pub and Matthew had a brunch with oatcakes followed by toffee sponge pudding with ice cream. Whilst we ate highlights of the passing buses included First Potteries 35949 on a #101 to Stafford and ABC Supreme midicoach YA67 VBD heading towards the hospital. Once we had finished eating we set off We carried on along the A34 through Hanford and into Trentham. We turned left onto the A5035 and we crossed over the railway line and into Blurton. We got back around 19:00. Matthew chilled out on his computer and we sorted a few things out. Matthew had a can of Cherry Coke. We wrote the Blog and watch TV. Later on we dropped uncle Dave off back at home. We got in the car and we set off through Burton and we ran along Beaconsfield Drive. We turned left onto Church Street and left onto Blurton Road. We crossed over the A50 and we ran into Heron Cross lights. We turned left onto Grove Road and we ran forwards onto Wheildon Road. We dropped off uncle Dave and we ran back up Wheildon Road and forwards onto Grove Road. We turned right onto Blurton Road and we crossed over the A50. We ran through Blurton and at the roundabout we veered right onto Church Street. We turned right onto the A5035 and back to Blurton. Later on we did some more of the Blog. We chilled out on the sofa until bedtime around 00:00... Mark

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going out on the bus later on. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the day centre, we saw white minibus SV59 ZRT. Later on we went to Newcastle in the car. We went downstairs to the car and we set off onto Temple Street where we saw Temple Street Church RX18 GZW. We turned left onto Christchurch Street and we turned left onto City Road. We ran down the hill and under the railway line into Stoke. We crossed over the A500. We went around the one-way system. We ran up the hill into Hartshill where we saw Intercity HX17 OSU. At the roundabout we ran forwards onto George Street and into Newcastle where we saw First Potteries 69148 on a #11 to Hanley. We ran forwards onto Ryecroft and we turned left onto the Southbound A34. We turned inti Hassell Street and we parked up in the Roebuck Centre car park. We walked through the Roebuck Centre and onto High Street. Matthew went for dinner in a chip shop. We set off along Hassell Street. We sat on a bench in Ironmarket. We turned left down High Street. Matthew had sausage chips and gravy washed down with a can of Coke. Once we had finished eating we returned to the bus station along Castle Walk. At the bus station we saw Arriva Midlands 2980 on a #64 to Market Drayton. Matthew went to the toilet and then returned into the bus station. Whilst we waited for the bus to Biddulph we saw First Potteries 69154 on a #22 to Longton. We waited for the next bus to Biddulph it was D&G Bus 49 on a #94 to Hanley. We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station and onto Barracks Road. We crossed the Jubilee roundabout onto the A527. We turned left onto Wulstan Drive and we turned right onto the Hempstalls Lane. We continued onto Hoon Avenue and forwards again onto Hassam Parade. We turned left onto the B5369 and right onto Oldcastle Avenue. We turned left onto Hanbridge Avenue and we turned left onto Bradwell Lane. We turned right onto Bursley Way and at the roundabout we went forwards onto Arnold Grove. We turned left onto Bradwell Lane and we went past the Potters Wheel pub. We continued left to the roundabout and we ran down Porthill Bank and crossed over the A500. As we crossed over the A500. We ran forwards onto the A5271 and we veered left onto Brownhills Road. We went to the top of the hill and we ran forwards onto Tunstall High Street and we turned right onto Furlong Road. We ran up to the A527 and we ran through Turnhurst and down the hill towards Fegg Hayes. We ran up the hill into Brindley Ford and we continued up to Knypersley. We turned right into Park Lane left into Woodlands Street. We turned right onto Church Close and we turned left onto Church Road. We continued onto Princess Street and we turned left onto Well Street. We turned right onto Biddulph High Street we got up and got off the bus. We walked a few paces down the High Street to the Biddulph Kebab & Pizza shop where we brought some fries. We walked back to the bus station around the corner to the bus station and we saw required D&G Bus 157 on the #9 to Hanley. A short while later we saw another First Bus approaching. As it got closer we saw that it was First Potteries 63098 on a #7A to Hanley. We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off onto the High Street and we turned left at the roundabout onto St John's Road. We ran around the estate and we crossed over the A527 at Knypersley. We ran through Brown Lees and we rejoined the A527 by the industrial estate. We ran down through Brindley Ford and to Fegg Hayes. We ran up the hill to Chell and we turned left onto High Lane. We ran back through Smallthorne & Sneyd Green into Hanley. When we got back to the bus station we waited for a bus back to Fenton. A short time later we saw First Potteries 63176 on a #6 to Coalville. We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We turned left onto the ring road and we turned right onto Lichfield Street and we ran down the hill to Joiners Square. We crossed the roundabout onto Victoria Road. and we ran up the hill into Fenton. At the top of the hill we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we set off on foot up Victoria Road and we went sharp right onto City Road. onto Glebedale Road and we walked along Baker Street. We turned right onto Christchurch Street. We returned onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. When Matthew got back we went upstairs and went up to his room. Later on we went out on the bus. We went downstairs and we walked out onto Temple Street. We turned left onto Christchurch Street and we waited for a bus to Hanley. We saw a a bus approaching and as it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67155 on a #23 to Hanley.

Matthew got another picture of First Potteries 67155 before it continued into the bus station.

We walked along Bagnall Street and Cheapside and we turned right onto Piccadilly. We turned left onto Stafford Street. We continued forwards onto Bryan Street and we went to Cineworld. Matthew had a hot dog and Coke. He went to the toilet and afterwards he saw No Time To Die at the cinema. When he had finished we set off back down Bryan Street onto Stafford Street we saw Autocabs DX57 LMK.

we returned to the residential unit in a Lucky Seven taxi. We set off onto Lichfield Street and into joiners Square. We crossed over the roundabout We turned right onto the A52 and we ran towards Stoke. By the railway station we veered left along the A52 and we ran parallel to the railway line. We turned left onto City Road and right onto Smithpool Road. We turned left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to his roon to watch TV and chill out. Matthew went up to his room to use his computer and watch buses. He also ate the a toffee Crisp. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. He was also going out on the bus later on. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. Whilst waiting for the time to go to the day centre, we saw Temple Street Church RX18 GZW.

We went downstairs and Transport for the trip was an Intercity taxi. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Smithpool Road. and we turned right onto City Road. We ran forwards onto King Street and we stopped at the charity shop to pic something up. We continued up through Foley and into Longton. We turned right onto Baths Road and we turned into Tesco. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards we set off on foot to Longton Interchange. We looked at the bus time and we saw the first bus towards Blurton was to D&G Bus #24 service. Whilst we waited for the bus we saw First Potteries 63117 on a #11 to Newcastle. A short time later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was D&G Bus 49 on a #24 to Hanley. We got on the bus and we booked to Blurton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off out of the Interchange onto Baths Road. We ran forwards onto Market Street and we followed the one-way system around onto Commerce Street. We crossed over the A50 and we headed out of Longton along Lightwood Road. We turned right onto Belgrave Road and left onto Chaplin Road. At the end we turned right onto Cocknage Road and we continued onto the end of Queens Park. We turned left onto the A5035. We ran through Blurton. We turned left onto Barlaston Road and right onto Waterside Drive. We turned left onto Wimbourne Avenue and we turned right onto Waterside Drive. we continued to the ens and we turned left onto Barlaston Road. We turned left onto the A5035 and right onto Ripon Road. At the end we turned right onto Finstock Avenue. We turned left onto Beaconfield Drive. We ran to the other end and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we walked all the way back to the house. When it was time to go we went back to the residential unit in the car. We set off onto Beaconsfield Drive and we turned left onto Church Road. We turned left onto Blurton Road and we ran through Blurton. We joined the Eastbound A50 and we then turned left onto the A50 link Road. We turned left onto King Street and we turned left into KFC. We picked up some food and we set off onto City Road where we saw we saw Afford rent-a-car DS21 SXT. We turned left onto Smithpool Road. We turned left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went into the visitor room. We brough with us a bottle of chicken burger, chicken popcorn, fries and a cup of Coke. Matthew looked at dad's phone and afterwards we did some of the Blog. After the visit Matthew said goodbye and went back upstairs to his room to chill out. Later on Matthew chilled out in his room. He watched television and used his computer. Once we were ready we went downstairs and out of the residential unit. We got in the car and we drove onto Temple Street. We turned right onto Christchurch Street and right onto Station Bridge Road. We followed the road around onto Heron Street and into Heron Cross. We went through the traffic lights and forwards onto Blurton Road. As we travelled through Blurton we passed First Potteries 63176 on a #22 to Longton. We continued through Blurton and we turned right onto Church Street and right onto Beaconsfield Drive. We got home around 15:00. When we got home Matthew had toast and a small bottle of dandelion & burdock. We went out in the car. We set off into the estate and we ran down to the A5035 where we saw ABC Taxis SL09 BXM.

We turned right onto Rosalyn Road. Mum went to the dentist and had a tooth repaired. When we had finished we set off onto Rosalyn Road and we turned left onto the A5035. We ran through Dresden to Blurton and we returned home. Once home Matthew had washed down with a bottle of Cherry Coke. We called for taxi and we returned to Fenton in a Lucky Seven taxi. We set off along Beaconsfield Drive ad we turned left on Church Road. We turned left onto Blurton Road and we ran through Blurton. We crossed over the A50 and int heron Cross. We ran forwards onto Heron Street and we followed the road around onto Station Bridge Road. we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto Masterson Street and we turned right onto Watkin Street. We continued onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. When we got there we saw Temple Street Church minibus RX18 GZW parked up nearby. We went upstairs Matthew went up to his room to use his computer and watch buses. Matthew had a can of Fanta orange. For tea Matthew had a pizza and chips followed by a pancake. Until it was time to go out Matthew watched buses out of the window we saw Lucky Seven BT57 FSN going towards Stoke.

Whilst we waited Matthew used his computer in his room. Tonight Matthew went out to the disco in a car. We went downstairs and got in the car. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto Baker Street and left onto Glebedale Road. At the end we turned right onto City Road. At the roundabout we turned sharp left onto Victoria Road. We ran down the hill to Joiners Square. We turned right onto the A52 and we ran up to Bucknall. At the lights we went straight on, forwards onto the A5009 and we ran through Abbey Hulton. We turned left onto Birches Head Road and we stopped at the disco. Matthew went to the toilet and had a drink of Coke and did some dancing. When it was time to go back to Fenton we travelled back on car. We set off onto Birches Head Road and we turned right onto the A5009. We ran down though Abbey Hulton and into Bucknall where we went straight onto the A52. We ran through Joiners Square and towards Stoke railway station we continued along the A52 along side the railway line and we then turned left onto City Road. We turned right onto Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went up to his room to chill out. He used his computer and watched music videos on the Television. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. He was also to do a local trip. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the day centre, we saw Temple Street Church RX18 GZW.

we went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street. In the distance we saw Temple Street church minibus RX18 GZW. We carried on along Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We waited for a bus towards Hanley. After a short wait we saw First Potteries 67152 on a #23 to Hanley. We got on the bus and we booked a Network Day ticket at £7.50. We sat down towards the back of the bus and we set off along Christchurch Street. We turned left onto City Road. and we joined the A52 to go under the railway line and over the A500. We continued onto Church Street where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we walked along Church Street to Stoke Cafe. Matthew went to the toilet and I ordered the food. For dinner Matthew had a breakfast washed down with a can of Coke. Once we had finished eating we set off onto Church Street and we waited at the bus stop for a bus to Newcastle. A few minutes later the bus appeared and it was First Potteries 65731 on a #11 to Newcastle. We got on the bus and we flashed the Smart Day ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off along Church Street and forwards onto Hartshill Road. We ran the mile or so up to Hartshill and to the top of Newcastle. We descended down George Street into Newcastle and we turned left at the roundabout onto Barracks Road. We turned into the bus station and We got off the bus and we sat on the bench at the bottom of the bus station whilst we decided what we were going to do next. A few minutes later we saw required Arriva Midlands 3697 on a #164 to Market Drayton. As we contemplated doing a bus to Tunstall. A short time later we saw First Potteries 67657 on a #99 to Chell Heath. We got on the bus and we flashed the Knot Day ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station and onto Barracks Road. We crossed the Jubilee roundabout onto the A527 and headed through Wolstanton. As we travelled North up the road we passed First Potteries 67154 on a #99 to Newcastle. We turned right onto Porthill Bank and we we went down the hill and over the A500. We went through Middleport and at Trubshaw Cross we went left onto Brownhills Road. We joined Tunstall High Street and at the top of the Road we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we walked to Tunstall Park. We crossed over the road and we walked down the path onto The Blvd. We crossed over Victoria Park Road. We walked around Tunstall Park for a while. We walk northwards through the park and into the North West corner to the sensory play area. We walked through the park and Matthew went to the toilet and went to the cafe and Matthew had a can of Coke. After spending a while there we walked back to the South East corner of the park. We returned back into Victoria Park Road and we turned right onto The Blvd and right onto High Street. We waited for the next Crewe bus. A short time later we saw First Potteries 65729 on a #3 to Crewe. We got on the bus and we flashed the Network Day ticket to the driver before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off High Street. and we continued North onto the A50. We ran through Goldenhill and down the bank into Kidsgrove. We ran under the railway line and we passed the site of the new Lidl being built. into Cheshire and we crossed over the A34. We continued into Church Lawton and then into Alsager. We continued Westwards along the B5077 under the M6 and into Radway Green. We followed the road to the right up Slaughter hill and we continued straight up into Haslington. We turned left onto Crewe Road and we re-joined the B5077 towards Crewe Green. We crossed over the roundabout onto the Westbound A534 and we ran towards Crewe railway station. We past the railway station where we saw Arriva NW&W 2951 on a #38 to Macclesfield. We continued for around 1/2 mile before turning right into Edlestone Road. We ran into town crossing over the railway line and forwards onto Chester Bridge. We followed the road around onto Delamere Street and we turned right into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we saw Arriva NW&W 2501 on a #31 to Northwich. We walked into the main station and we saw Arriva NW&W 2934 on a #38 to Macclesfield. we got the bus bus ready for service. We got on and we brought Arriva Day Saver tickets at £5.50 each before we sat down. The bus set off out of the bus station and we turned left onto Delamere Street. We followed the road around to the right onto Chester Bridge and we crossed the railway line and onto Edleston Road where we saw Arriva NW&W 2933 on a #38 to Crewe. At the end of the long straight road we turned left onto the A534 and we ran past the railway station ans past B&Q. The bus emptied a little and Matthew to a picture of the empty seat adjacent to us inside Arriva NW&W 2934.

We traveled Eastwards along Crewe Road. We went through Haslington and Winterley and further North through Wheelock Heath. We crossed the A534 and we ran through Wheelock. We ran over the canal and into Sandbach town center past Sandbach School. When we got to the Common onto Congleton Road. We joined the A534 and past the site of the new development by the M6. We continued along the A534 and we crossed over the M6 and into Arclid. We carried on through Medhurst Green and we crossed over the Wall Hill roundabouts. On the edge of Congleton we joined the A34 and we ran East along the road for a short while before going onto West Street. We entered town along Antrobus Street, Mill Street and Mountbatten Way. We turned right into Market Street, past the Bear Grills cafe and into the bus station. We got off the bus. We walked up to the top end of the bus station and Matthew visited the toilet. Afterwards we continued up Market Street and we turned right on to Bridge Street. We stopped at B&M and we brought a bottle of Coke, some chocolate bars and a cup of pick and mix sweets. We walked along Bridge Street and left onto Market Street and back to the bus station. We sat in one of the bus stops and Matthew ate a couple of fun sized Milky Way bars. Whilst we were eating we saw D&G Bus 49 on a #94 to Newcastle. We got on the bus and we brought singles at £2.20 each before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Market Street and we turned right into High Street. We continued onto Lawton Street. We turned right onto the A527 and we ran out of town past Congleton railway station. We ran through Mossley and White More and into Biddulph. We set off along the by-pass before turning right into Wharf Road where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we used the toilet and turned the corner onto the High Street. We walked down to the kebab shop and we ordered some food. We picked up a couple of portions of fries and a can of Vimto and we returned onto Wharf Road. We returned to the bus stop to eat the fries. After we had eaten we had around 10 minutes to wait for the next #7A to Hanley. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 63178 on a #7A to Hanley. We got on the bus and we flashed the First Network Day ticket to the driver for the final time today. we sat down. The bus set off onto the High Street and we turned left at the roundabout onto St John's Road. We ran around the estate and we crossed over the A527 at Knypersley. We ran through Brown Lees and we rejoined the A527 by the industrial estate. We ran down through Brindley Ford and to Fegg Hayes. We ran up the hill to Chell and we turned left onto High Lane. We ran back through Smallthorne & Sneyd Green into Hanley. The bus came in through Quadrant Road and forwards onto Stafford Street. We ran past the town hall and we ran along Bagnall Street and into the bus station. We got up and got off the bus and we spotted First Potteries 65031 on a #101 to Stafford. We visited the toilet and afterwards we left the bus station and we crossed Lichfield Street. We walked along Birch Terrace and we met up with mum and her friend. We got in the car and Matthew had a can of Coke. We set off along Birch Terrace and we turned left onto Lichfield Street. We crossed over the ring road and we ran down Lichfield Street and into joiners Square. We crossed over the onto Victoria Road. Victoria Road and we ran up the hill into Fenton. At the roundabout we turned sharp right onto City Road and left onto Smithpool Road. We turned left onto Temple Street and we went to his room and chilled out. We went upstairs and Matthew had a can of Irn Bru. For a late tea Matthew had a toast and cheese with chips. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today we decided to re-visit Widnes. It had snowed in the week and the weather wasn't the best so we decided to do a medium distance trip. We gave Matthew a choice of nearby destinations in the Midlands and North West and from the list Matthew chose Widnes. Matthew got up around 10:30 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. We set off a little after 12:00 on the A5035 and we turned right onto Stanley Matthew Way. We ran to the Northern end past a new building that is appearing next to the Audi garage. We joined the Westbound A50 and we ran down to Sideway. At the roundabout we joined the Northbound A500. Traffic was light and we made good progress. We joined the M6 at junction 16 and we ran Northwards. As we travelled North we saw Edwards Coaches National Express liveried coach BU18 OTL on a #528 to Haverfordwest, an unidentified KT Coaches coach and an unidentified gold coloured coach. When we got to Thelwall Viaduct we could see the snow on top of Winter hill to the North side of Bolton. At junction 21A we turned left and we joined the Westbound M62. We came off at junction 7 and we headed Southwards down the A557. After a few miles we did the designated u turn onto the Northbound side of the A557 and we veered left onto Watkinson Way. At the next roundabout we turned left onto Green Oaks Way and after the bus station entrance we turned left into the car park. As we were parking up the car we saw a Stagecoach coach approaching. Once out of the car we headed over to the bus station to see Stagecoach Merseyside 53290 on a X5 to Liverpoool One.

Also in the bus station was Halton Transport Dart 3 on a #17 to St Helens.

Mum caught up with and we headed over to the market. On the way was saw Dial a Ride minibus DK66 CKJ parked up near to Morrisons.

We headed into the market and Matthew used the toilet. We had dinner at the nearby Widnes market Cafe. Matthew had a breakfast washed down with a bottle of Coke. When we had finished we said goodbye to mum and we walked towards the exit near to the bus station. We stopped on the way at a sweet stall and Matthew had a few eggs and a couple of jelly snakes. We asked which buses Matthew wanted to do and he chose Arriva. We decided to head over the river first so we stood on the North side of the bus station. Whilst we waited we saw Halton Transport 92 on a #62 to Halebank.

A few minutes later we saw an Arriva bus approaching. As it got closer we saw that it was dud Arriva NW&W 5015 on a #500 to Murdishaw.

We got on the bus and we brought Arriva NW&W daysaver tickets at £5.50 each. As the bus was empty Matthew took a picture inside Arriva NW&W 5015.

We set off out of the bus station and we turned right onto Gerrards Street. We ran forwards onto Milton Road and we turned left onto the B5419. We went through the old town and across the roundabout onto Victoria Road. We got onto the new A533 and we crossed over the new Mersey Gateway Bridge. We then headed back Westwards and then joined Leiria way to run into Runcorn town centre. We ran onto the High Street we ran past the bus station before turning right into the bus station so we were pointing the right way to go towards Halton Lea. We got up and got off the bus and Matthew took another picture of Arriva NW&W 5015 as it continued towards Murdishaw.

We decided to go forwards towards Halton Lea on the next bus. A few minutes later we saw dud Arriva NW&W 2642 on a #110 to Murdishaw.

We got on the bus and we flashed the Arriva NW&W Day Saver ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off out of the bus station and onto Church Street. We ran forwards onto Leiria Way and at the first roundabout we ran forwards onto the busway. We ran the industrial areas around Astmoor and under the Mersey Gateway bridge. We joined Castlefield Avenue East and we got onto the busway at the corner of Tyrrel Way by the McColls Store. We ran through the Castlefields area and we stopped at the library side of the Halton Lea shopping centre where we got up and got off the bus. After taking a few bus pictures we set off to go into the shopping centre. There was an old lady who was struggling to get to the shopping centre due to there being an elevated walkway and her being quite afraid of heights. I helped her to the lift and I also guided he out of the lift into the shopping centre after I had walked down the stairs. We walked through the shopping centre and we went to the toilets. After we had used the toilets we headed over to the South side of the shopping centre where the Runcorn bound buses stop. A few minutes later we saw required Arriva NW&W 2552 on a #1 Halton Lea circular service which Matthew decided to turn down.

We waited for the next bus back to Runcorn. A few minutes later dud Arriva NW&W 2540 on a #110 to Warrington.

We got on the bus and we flashed the Arriva Daysaver ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus stattion onto busway, and we went around an Asda store and North under the Halton Link Road. The busway was on a sweeping curve to the right and we went through the middle of the Castlefields area. After around 3/4 of a mile we left the busway and went forwards on Tyrell Way. We followed the road around to the left and we turned left onto Castlefields Avenue East. We crossed over the A558 Daresbury Expressway and we then turned left onto another busway. We ran Westwards through the Astmoor area of town. The busway crossed over road every couple of hundred yards and there were traffic lights which usually turned to green and we approached them. We also passed under the Southern end of the Mersey Gateway bridge. We went under the B5155 adjacent to the canal and we turned right at a roundabout off the busway onto Lieria Way with the town centre in sight. We ran down the hill and we turned left into the bus station. Once we got to the station we got up and got off the bus. Matthew took another picture of Arriva NW&W 2540 before it continued of towards Warrington.

Once we had seen the bus depart towards Warrington Matthew want a short break away from the buses. He walked to the bottom end of the bus station and played with the ice on the wall, clearing much of it away. On the other side of the bus station we saw Arriva NW&W 2536 on a #110 to Murdishaw.

Matthew decided he wanted to do this bus, which seemed a little surprising. It turned out we had never done the Weston section of the #3C circular, so it was quite an interesting journey. We got on the bus and we flashed the Arriva North West Daysaver ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station and onto the High Street. We went past 'The Archers' and over the A557. We went under the A533 and past the railway station. We continued along Picow Farm Road and we turned left into Penn Lane. We turned right onto Holloway and right onto Weston Road. As we travelled around Weston as the bus climbed up a little there were great views of the Mersey and the chemical plant below. As we got to a tur in the road we noticed the Selwyns coach depot in front of us. In the gate was Selwyns double decker SN16 OGW. We followed the road to the left and we got another view of the depot and saw Selwyns midicoach FJ65 XRW. We turned right onto Rocksavage Way and under the A557. We ran adjacent to the chemical plant and into the Weston Point area. We ran forwards onto Bankes' Lane and forwards again onto Lydgate Lane. We turned right onto South Parade and left into Sandy Lane. We crossed back under the A557 and we turned left onto Russell Road. We turned right onto Westfield Road and at the end we turned left onto Holloway. We turned left onto Penn Lane and Right onto Picow Farm Road. We ran past the railway station and under the A533. We crossed over the A557 and forwards onto High Street and into the bus station. We got off the bus and it was at this point Matthew decided to go to the pub across the road. Matthew used the toilet and afterwards he had a glass of Coke. Once he had finished his drink we re-joined uncle Dave who waited outside and we went back up to the bus station. We decided to go to Murdishaw and back to Widnes. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. It was required Arriva NW&W 5012 on a #500 to Murdishaw.

We got on the bus and flashed the Arriva Daysaver ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of town and as we got close to the town hall on Heath Road, we turned right into Ivy Street and left into Langdale Road. We ran through Halton Lodge Norleane Crescent and Linkway. We ran clockwise around Grangeway and we joined the busway and we ran though Halton Lea North close to the library. We decided to go a bit further East to Murdishaw. We ran past the hospital and we travelled East for about a mile and the busway opened out at a turning circle and we had reached the end of the run. We got up and we got off the bus. After taking a few bus pictures off the footbridge we went into the Co-operative food store. Mathew had a bottle of Coke. He also had some Milky Way and a Flake. Once we had done our shopping we went to the till. Whilst we waited to catch an Arriva bus we saw Halton Transport 63 on a #14A to Liverpool One.

We had seen required Arriva NW&W 5013 which was going to work the next #500 to Widnes. Whilst we waited we saw dud Arriva NW&W 5007 on a #1 Halton Lea circular service.

We got on the bus and flashed the Arriva Daysaver ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off around the turning circle and onto the Southbound busway we ran through the Palacefields area and past Halton Hospital. We continued down to the Halton Lea shopping centre and we got up. The rear of the bus was empty so Matthew took a picture inside Arriva NW&W 5007 before we got off the bus station.

Matthew decided to do Halton Transport 49 so we got on the bus and booked the final bus journey of today to Widnes. We set off onto Grangeway. At the end we ran forwards onto Linkway and right onto Laburnum Grove. We turned right onto Windsor Grove and we followed the road around. We ran North up Norleane Crescent and we turned left onto Heath Road. We then did a loop around Langdale Road and Ivy Street before we rejoined Heath Road, this time going Northwards. We continued up the B5155 and we followed the road to the left over the canal. We then travelled via Lena Way into the town centre and into the bus station. After a brief stop we set off up the High Street We turned right to go onto the Leiria Way.joined the A533. We crossed over the Mersey on the new bridge. we ran into the old town of Widnes up Victoria Road. We crossed over the roundabout and we ran through a bus lane into the Asda car park. We joined onto Gerrard Street past Marks & Spencers and we turned left onto Green Oaks we got up and got off the bus. Once we got off the bus Matthew took another picture Halton Transport 49 before it carried on towards Halebank.

We walked back to the car and mum was waiting for us with Greggs sausage rolls and a can of Irn Bru. We set off onto Green Oaks Way and we did a U-turn at the roundabout and headed Southwards. We turned left at the roundabout and we joined the Northbound A557. We ran the 3 miles or so up to the M62 and we got onto the Eastbound M62. We ran for around 8 miles to junction 10 and we joined the Southbound M6. As we travlled down the M6 we saw Intercity SF07 DHU, an unidentified GDS Travel minibus, and Pod Tre? MC14 BYR. We came off the M6 at junction 16 and we joined the Southbound A500. Seen on the A500 was an unidentified National express liveried coach (#325). At Sideway we left the A500 and got onto the Eastbound A50. Seen on the A50 was an unidentified A1 Travel minibus. We came off the A50 at Longton and we went to see what was parked up at Z Carz this evening. The spare ground was empty so we went to Willow Row and we saw Z Carz Volkswagen minibus OV05 WSW in the compound.

We turned around and got back onto the A50 and we went Westwards to Heron Cross. We turned left onto Blurton Road and we ran through Blurton. We ran forwards onto Church Street and we turned right into Beaconsfield Drive. As we got home we saw Afford rent-a-car WX18 WKF. We got home just before 19:00. For a late tea bangers and mash with carrots followed by jam filled shortbread biscuit. We did an e-mail and we wrote some of the Blog. Matthew went to bed around 00:00.... Mark.
