Trip to Hull / Beverley 08-11-2025

Today was the first full day of a short break in Lincolnshire. Last night we asked Matthew where he wanted to start of the day and chose Hull. Research consisted of looking at bus tickets, looking to see where and when Hull City were playing and checking the weather. The weather was forcast for dray with some sunshine, mild for the time of year. I woke Matthew up at 08:00 to give him his medication and Matthew got out of bed just after 09:00. Matthew had toast and orange juice for breakfast. We did some of the Blog and we got ready to go out. We set off around 10:00 out of the campsite and we ran forwards onto Kings Road. We ran into Cleethorpes and we turned left onto the A180. We went left onto the A46 following a diversion and we turned right onto Brereton Avenuw. We tyrned right onto Reynolds Street and we re-joined the A180. We ran through Grimsby and we continued out of town for about 10 miles. We joined the Northbound A15 and we ran over the Humber Bridge. Once on the North bank we turned right onto the A1105. We ran Eastwards towards Hull and we turned left onto Pickering R0ad. We turned right onto Analby Road and left onto Calvert Lane. We had planned on stopping here to visit a cafe, but it was busy because Hull City were at home so we carried on driving. We went under a railway bridge and we turned right onto Spring Bank West. We turned left onto Chanterland Avenue and left onto Perth Street West. We turned right onto National Avenue and we headed Northwards. We spotted a Sizzling pub so we decided to stop there for dinner. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards we sat down at the table. Mum oreder the food and drink and Matthew had a bacon cheeseburger with an extra chicken burger with fries, was down with a glass of Coke. We gave Matthew a choice of having a dessert now or having one later and he chose to have one later. We went outside and we got the trip bag from the car. We said goodbye to mum and we set off on foot to a nearby bus stop. We turned right onto national Avenue and we crossed over County Road North. We crossed over Bricknell Avenue and we walked to the nearby bus stop. We waited for a bus towards Hull. A short time later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was Stagecoach East Midlands 11694 on a #3 to Hull Interchange.

We got on the bus and we booked singles to Hull at £3 each before we went upstairs and sat down. We set off down Bricknell Avenue and we headed Southwards. We turned right onto Chanterlands Avenue and we turned left onto Spring Bank West. We continued onto Spring Bank and we turned right onto the A1079. We turned left onto Prospect Street and left onto Albert Street. We turned right onto Bond Street and we ran forwards onto Vernon Street. We turned left onto Carr Lane and we ran forwards onto Anlaby Road. We turned right onto the A1079 and we turned left into the Interchange. We let the bus empty and Matthew took a picture inside of Stagecoach East Midlands 11694.

Once off the bus we headed up to the layover area. We saw Stagecoach East Midlands 24194 parked up there.

We walked back into the interchange and we looked for something we could catch out. We saw a bus come onto stand 22. As it came closer we saw it was East Yorkshire 928 on a X46 to York.

We got on the bus and we bought a Go anywhere ticket at £17.20 before we went upstairs and sat down. We set off out of the interchange and we turned left onto the Northbound A1079. We continued through Stepney and Newland and we headed out of the city. We continued along the A1079 and on the edge of Beverley we turned right onto new link road. We turned left onto the A164 and we ran into town along Victoria Road. We turned left onto Queensgate and we ran forwards onto Admiral Walker Road. We turned left onto Lairgate and we turned right onto Hengate. We turned right onto New Walkergate and we turned right onto Sow Hill Road. We entered the bus station and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew took another picture of East Yorkshire 928 before it continued towards York.

Once off the bus we decided to go for a drink. We spotted a few bars on the way into the bus station. We crossed over New Walkergate and we walked to the bar on the corner. Before we went into the bar we saw East Yorkshire 752 on a #41 to Hull.

Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards we had drinks. Matthew had a slice of chocolate vanila and jaffa cake washed down with a glass of Coke. when we had finished we headed across the road to the bus station. A few minutes later we saw East Yorkshire 362.

This bus had an issue and was stopped out side of the bus station. We decide to catch something else and a few minutes later we saw another bus come into the bus station. As it got closer we saw it was East Yorkshire 921 on a X46 to York.

We got on the bus and we placed the Go anywhere day ticket under the scanner before we went upstairs and down towards. We set off out of the bus station and we turned left onto New Walkergate. We ran forwards onto Manor Street and we turned right onto Wyles Road. We crossed over North Bar Without and we ran forwards onto York Road. We ran past Beverley Race Course and on the edge of town we ran forwards onto the A1079. We continued through Bishop Burton and we ran for a few miles to the edge of Market Weighton. We turned right onto Sanction Road and we ran forwards onto Southgate. We veered left onto High Street and we ran forwards onto market Place where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew took another picture of East Yorkshire 921 as it continued towards York.

We crossed over Market Place and we headed into a shop. We bought a flapjack, some chocolate and bottle of Coke. After paying for the stuff we went outside to the bus station. As we had a few minutes to wait for the bus back Southwards, Matthew had a chocolate bar whilst we waited. A few minutes later we saw the bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was East Yorkshire 925 on a X46 to Hull.

We got on the bus and we placed the Go anywhere day ticket under the scanner before we went upstairs and down towards. We set off along Market Place and we continued onto High Street. We veered right onto Southgate and e ran out of town. We continued onto sanction Road and we turned left onto the A1079 and we passed a site of a new housing estate. We ran through Bishop Burton and we continued past Beverley Race course. We continued onto York Road and we ran into Beverley. We crossed over North Bar Without and we ran onto Wyles Road. We turned right onto Manor Road and we ran forwards onto New Walkergate. We turned right onto Sow Hill Road and into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we had a look around to see what we could catch. We saw East Yorkshire 507 on a #525 to Swinemoor Estate.

We decided to head back towards Hull so we could arrange to meet up with mum somewhere nearby. Whilst we waited we saw Acklams double decker YX24 OXJ on a KC1 service. We waited a few minutes for the next slow service to Hull. A short time later we saw the bus approaching. It was East Yorkshire 379 on a #43 to Hull Interchange.

We got on the bus and we placed the Go anywhere day ticket under the scanner before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station onto New Walkergate and we headed Southwards. We ran forwards onto Railway Street and we turned right onto Armstrong Way. We turned left onto Flemingate and we headed Eastwards out of town. We continued onto Beckside and forwards onto Hull Road. We joined the A1174 and we headed Southwards. We ran through Woodmansey and we continued Southwards. We reached the Beverley bypass and we ran forwards onto the A1079. We ran through Newland and Stepney and we reached the edge of Hull. We turned left onto Spencer Street and we continued onto Prospect Street. We turned left onto Albion Street and Bond Street. We ran forwards onto Vernon Street and forwards onto Queens Dock Avenue. We turned right onto Carr Lane and we ran forwards onto Anlaby Road. We turned right onto the A1079 and we turned left into the interchange where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew went to the toilet. Afterwards we decided to catch a bus towards Hessle and met up with mum. As we approached the stand and we saw a bus already there. As we got closer we saw it was East Yorkshire 371 on a #58 to Hessle.

We got on the bus and we placed the Go anywhere day ticket under the scanner for the final time today before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the interchange and and we turned left onto the Northbound A1079. We turned right onto Spencer Street and we continued onto Prospect Street. We turned left onto Albion Street and we turned right onto Bond Street. We continued onto Bond Street and we ran forwards onto Queens Dock Avenue. We turned right onto Carr Lane and we ran forwards onto Anlaby Road. We ran forwards onto the A1105 and we ran out of town. We passed the Southern side of the interchange and the MKM stadium. At Anlaby Park we turned left onto Anlaby Park Road South. We turned right onto Gower Road and we turned right onto Bethune Avenue. We turned left onto First Lane and we turned right onto Cottermore Road heading into Northfield. We continued onto Sunningdale Road and we turned left onto Beverley Road. We headed into Hessle along Northgate and we continued along Southgate. When we reached the Square the service terminated and we got up and got off the bus. Matthew took another picture of East Yorkshire 371 before it returned to Hull on a #58.

Onc off the bus we headed into the nearest pub, Matthew went to the toilet afterwards Matthew sat down with uncle Dave and I went to the bar to get drinks. Matthew had a small glass of Coke. Whilst we were there the fire alarm went off. Nobody moved but the alarm was that lod we decided to take the drink to the seating outside. As we finished our drink the fire alarm was swithched off to great cheers,,, Hurrah! Mum had pulled up outside the pub in a nearby parking space. We jumped in the car and we set off back towards Cleethorpes. We headed Northwards up Soutgate and we followed the road onto Northgate. We continued onto Beverley Road and we turned left onto the roundabout onto the A1105. We turned left onto A15 and we headed over the Humber Bridge. We headed Southwards for about 10 miles and we joined the Eastbound A180. We ran fast along the A180 for about 10 miles and we reached the edge of Grimsby. We ran through Grimsby into Cleethorpes and we ran forwards onto the A1098. We ran through Cleethorpes and along the coast to North Sea Lane. We stopped at the chip shop as I thought this was the chip shop mum had ordred from. It turned out that it wasn't. As we parked up we got a call from the chip shop to say the order was ready. It turned out it was a chip shop at the other end of Cleethorpes. We carried on along North Sea Lane and continued onto Humberston Road. We continued onto Carr Lane and we ran forwards onto Park Street. We picked up the food and we carried on along Park Street. We turned right onto the A180 and we headed through the roadworks again into Cleethorpes. We turned right onto the A1098 and we ran along the coast again. We ran along the coast and we ran forwards into the caravan park. We checked in and drove to the caravan and parked up. We brought the stuff into the caravan and we settled down for the evening. Matthew had sausage chips and gravy followed by a cake from the Cake Box. We spent the evening doing the Blog and writing an e-mail. We chilled out in the caravan and we went to bed around 00:00... Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going out on the bus. He was also going away for the weekend to Yorkshire. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. We saw Shelton Care Group YP70 JYJ outside. We went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street. In the distance we saw Temple Street church minibus RX18 GZW. We carried on along Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We waited for a bus towards Hanley. We continued along Christchurch Street. We onto City Road and we saw Afford rent-a-car MT70 AFK outside there yard.

We continued to the bus stop and we waited for the bus to Newcastle. A short time later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67173 on a #11 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre along Church Street. After a brief stop in Stoke we continued along church Street and forwards onto Hartshill Road where we saw blue minibus V604 MBL. We ran up the hill and into Hartshill. We ran forwards onto George Street and we ran down the hill into Newcastle. We turned left at the roundabout onto Barracks Road and into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Once we got off the bus we saw First Potteries 65032 on a #4 to Hanley. Once off the bus we had a look around to see what we could catch. We saw First Potteries 32639 on a #101 to Hanley.

A short time later we saw a bus to Hanley arrive on stand. It was First Potteries 63173 on a #4 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down near to the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station and onto Barracks Road. We crossed the Jubilee Roundabout and onto the A53. We ran into Basford and over the A500. We ran down into Etruria and over the A500. We continued along the A53 and we turned left onto Forge Lane. We ran out along the Lane and we crossed over the canal before we returned back into Etruria along festival Way. We crossed under the A53 onto Etruria Road. We ran up the hill into Hanley and we ran forwards onto Trinity Street. We turned right onto Stafford Street and we ran forwards onto Albion Street. We continued onto Bagnall Street and we entered the bus station. We got up and got off the bus and we waited for a bus towards Fenton. short time later the bus pulled on stand. We saw it was First Potteries 63096 on a #11 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We turned left onto the ring road and left onto Lichfield Street and we turned right onto Birch Terrace. We followed the road around onto Charles Street and we turned right onto Old Hall Street. We crossed over the ring road onto Bucknall New Road. We ran down the hill through Limekiln lights. We turned right onto Dividy Road and we saw . We turned left onto Beverley Drive and right onto Dawlish Drive. We ran through the estate and back onto the A5272. We ran up to Adderley Green. At the roundabout we turned right onto Anchor Road. system onto Commerce Street and right onto The Strand. After a brief stop we ran down the Strand and under the railway line onto King Street. We continued down through Fenton and forwards onto City Road. We went past KFC and we got up and got off at the Travers Court bus stop outside the block of flats. We crossed over the road and we headed onto Smothpool Road and we visited the chip shop to get dinner. AFter we had brough the food we walked back along Smithpool Road and turned right onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs nd Matthew had his dinner. It was sausage chips and gravy washed down with a can of Coke. I called Matthew up and told him we were on our way and we were going to pick him up early. Around 13:45 Matthew came downstairs and got in the car. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Smithpool Road. We turned right onto Wheildon Road and we picked up uncle Dave. We realised that Matthew did not have his batteries so we set off onto Wheildon Road and we turned right onto Smithpool Road. We turned left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to get his batteries before coming back downstairs and getting in the car. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street. We turned right oto station Bridge Road and we continued onto Heron Street. We crossed through the traffic lights onto Blurton Road and we turned left to join the Eastbound A50. We ran through Longton and Meir and we saw Travel Express HF64 AJU and silver minibus SD63 FGN. We followed the road to the right and we ran the 10 or so miles to Uttoxeter. We joined the Northbound A38 and we saw blue minibus CE52 YCX. We travelled Northwards through Derby and we joined the Northbound M1. Travelling up the M1 we saw Wray's of Harrogate BU14 EGF, Go North East (NX) 7139(#133), Stott's (NX) BV17 GRK(#131). We decided to have a break at Woodall service station. We pulled into the service station and we saw MPB minibus KY68 VVF parked up.

Matthew went to the toilet and we came out and saw Acklams YX16 NWH.

As we were going back to the car we saw Acklams YX18 LLO and Redfern Travel 98 RT arrive in the coach park.We got in the car and Matthew had a scotch egg and a can of Orange Fanta. We got back onto the Northbound M1 and we saw Cawthornes Travel SF54 TKY and an unidentified Snowdons coach. We got onto the M18 and we ran up to the M62. We ran a short distance to Goole and we came off the M62 ans got on the Eastbound A614. We ran through Howden and we followed the A614 up to Driffield and we joined the Northbound A1249. We ran North for about 10 miles through Foxholes before joining the Northbound A64. We ran past the park and ride site and the reatila park and we turned right onto Queen Margaret's Road. We turned left onto the A165 and we turned left by the Church and we parked up at the appartment. We came in and we settled down. Matthew had a ham sandwich and a can of orange Fanta. We decided to go out and get a couple of buses in. We set off onto the A165 and e walked up to the bus stop. On the way we saw Shoreline Suncruisers 45 on a Xandor works service. We got to the bus stop and we had a few minutes to wait. A short time later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was East Yorkshire 288 on a #10 to Scarborough.

We got on the bus asn we booked Scarborough Day tickets at £4.50. The bus was empty so Matthew took a picture inside East Yorkshire 288.

The bus set off Northwards up the A165 and we headed into Scarborough. We turned right onto Somerset Terrace and we ran forwards onto Falconers Road. We turned left onto St Nicholas Street and we ran forwards onto St Thomas Street. We turned left onto Castle Street and left onto Aberdeen Walk. We turned left onto Abelmarle Crecent and right Westborough where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew took another picture of East Yorkshire 288 as it headed off towards the depot.

Once off the bus we looked for another bus to catch. We decided to do A #7A back around to Ramshill. Whilst we waited we saw Transdev Yorkshire 3629 on a #843 to Leeds. A short time later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was East Yorkshire 277 on a #7A Eastfield circular service.

We got on the bus and we placed the Scarborough Day tickets under the scanner for the final time today. We set off along the A64 and we headed out of Scarborough. We past the retail park and the park and ride site and we turned right onto Seamer Road. We turned left onto the B1261 and we ran past Seamer railway station. We turned left onto Manham Hill and right onto Westway. Somwhere on the estate we saw Esk Valley Coaches V7 ESK. We turned left onto Overdale and we crossed over Eastway. We ran forwards onto Priory place and we turned lefy onto Osgodby Lane. We turned left onto Filey Road and we passed Esk Valley Coaches YJ22 DXC. We joined the A165 and we ran into Ramshill where we got up and got off the bus. We walked back to the apartment and we chiled out in the main room. watching TV and writing the Blo. Mum order some food so Matthew had a cheeseburger, fries and some chicken nuggets, washed down with a can of Orange Fanta. We did some more of the Blog and we wrote e-mails. Today we started in the hotel. Research for today's trip consisted at looking at bus tickets and looking at the weather, whic for was mainly dry weather with some sunshine and a few showers. Matthew got up and had a shower before we went down to the restaurant to get breakfast. Matthew had sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs and beans, wshed down with a glass of orange juice. We returned to the room and we finished pacing away the rest of our stuff. When we had finished we checked out of the hotel and we put the stuff in the car. We noticed a National Express liveried coach in the car park we we walked up to investigate. It was Edwards BV22 VTP just parked up in the hotel car park.

We got in the minibus and we set off along Roydsdale Way. WE were about to turn right when we spotted a couple of coaches parked up outside of Northern Kitchen. We turned right onto Merrydale Road and Matthew took a picture of Acklams E14 ACK.

Behind this was Options YF17 UMD we turned around on the corner of the street and we headed Westwards along Merrydale Road. We crossed under the M606 and we turned right onto Staithgate Lane. We Ran Northwards up to large roundabout at Newhall and we joined the clockwise ring road. We turned right onto the A641 and we headed Northwards into town. We turned right into Hall Ings and we passed the mini bus station The Bradford hotel. We entered the Broadway shopping centre car park and we parked up on the 2nd floor. Once we had said goodby to mum we went down stairs and we came out on Market Street. We headed onto Bridge Street and we turned lef and headed into the interchange. We went the escaltors to the bus interchange and we had a quick look around to see what we could catch. We saw there was a bus ready to depart on Stand X. It was First West Yorkshire 35658 on a #72 to Leeds.

We got on the bus and we booked WY Daysaver bus tickets at £5.50 each before we went upstairs and sat down. We set off out of the Interchange onto Bridge Street we saw TLC 90730 on an unidentified service. We turned right onto the A6181 and we ran down through Barkerend and into Laisterdyke. We continued down through to Thornbury and we ran down through Pudsey. We ran alongside the B6157 and to Stanningley. We crossed a roundabout and we ran forwards onto the A647, passing quite near the First Bus Bramley depot. We continued down towards the cente of Leeds and we turned left onto Armley Road and crossed the railway. We turned left onto the A58 and we stayed on the high level road before turning right onto Westgate. We ran forwards onto The Headrow and we ran forwards onto Eastgate. We turned right onto St Peter's Street and we entered the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we vivited the toilet. We exited the bus station into the coach sttion as the North end of the bus station is currently having construction work done. We exited onto St Peter's Street and we walked around the bus station. At the exit of the bus station we saw First West Yorkshire 47642 on a X27 service to Thorpe Park.

We walked back along St Peter's Street and into the coach station. We cut through into the bus station and we visited the shop. We brought a can of coke and a couple of chocolate bars for Matthew before heading back out into the bus station. We had a look around to see what we could catch. We saw First West Yorkshire 68809 on a #62 Saxton Gardens circular service.

Matthew sat down and ate his Freddo and drank his can of Coke. The bus was readied for service and we go on the bus and we flashed the WY Daysaver bus tickets to the driver before going upstairs. The rear of the top deck was empty so matthew took a picture inside First West Yorkshire 35634.

We set off out of the bus station and we turned left onto St Peter's Street. We turned left onro Eastgate and we ran forwards onto Headrow. We turned left onto Park Row and we ran through the City Square and past the railway station. We continued onto Wellington Street and we ran under the A58(M). We ran forwards onto Kirkstall Road and under the railway viaduct. We ran into Burlley and quite an interesting part of town. We saw a derelict pub called the rising sun, which had clearly seen better day. We also saw a turreted end terrace which is the home to Dave's Pies and Ale. As we continued North Westwards we passed a few ghost signs on the North side of the road. We continued Northwards into Kirkstall and we stopped just after the crossroad for a short time to wait time. We then continued along the A65 past Kirkstall Abbey and near to Kirkstall Forge railway station. We continued into Horsforth and we we crossed over the A6120. We continued Northwards to Rawdon and we crossed the A658. On the roundabout we saw maroon coach AM04 SEE. We continued along the A65 and we saw Fourway coach YJ16 EKE outside The Woolpack pub. We turned left onto Greenlea Avenue and we ran down to the turning circle. After a brief stop we headed Northwards up Greenlea Avenue and we turned left onto the A65. We ran into Guseley and we continued to the Northern end of town to the stop where the service terminated. We got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we noticed the pub after which the bus stop was named. We walked across to the pub and at the rear was a beer garden. Uncle Dave stopped outside whilst me and Matthew went inside. Matthew used the toilet and afterwards we went to the bar and brought drinks. It had started raining, so when we went upstairs we put up the parasol unbrella in the centre of the table to shelter under. After we had finished the drinks we returned the glasses to the bar and we set off across Otley Road to the bus stop to wait for the Southbound service. First West Yorkshire 35634 was still waiting across the road. It set off around the roundabout and headed back Southwards. We turned this bus down, so that we could wait for a different bus on the #34 which was 10 minutes behind it. Whilst we waited the rain stopped and eventually we saw the bus approaching. It was First West Yorkshire 35595 on a #34 to Leeds.

We go on the bus and we flashed the WY Daysaver bus tickets to the driver before we went upstairs and we sat down. We set off along Otley Road and we ran into the centre of Guiseley. Than plan was to go down to Burley and get off to try and get pictures of the ghost signs, as well as breaking the journey and getting in extra buses. We turned left onto The Grn and we headed Northwards. We turned right onto Queensway and we ran into Yeadon. We turned left onto Kirk Lane and we ran forwards onto Wells Court. We followed the road around onto Harper lane and we crossed the roundabout and turned right onto High Street. We turned right onto the A658 and we ran forwards onto Harrogate Road. We re-joined the A65 in Rawdon and we continued Southwards towards the City. We crossed the A6120 and we ran past Kirkstall Forge railway station. We passed Kirkstall Abbey which we had a better view of on the returned journey. We ran through Kirkstall and we continued Southwards towards Burley. I had worked out that we needed to get off opposite to Asda. As we saw the Asda in the distance we pressed the bell to get off. We got up and got off the bus and Matthew took another picture of First West Yorkshire 35595 as it continued towards Leeds on the #34 service.

We set off on foot to try and find these ghost signs. We didn't spot them, so we crossed over the road and continued walking towards Leeds. When we passed Dave's Pies and Ale we realised we had gone too far and missed the signs! We decided to catch a bus back the other way for a couple of stops to find the signs. As we approached the bus stop we saw Transdev Keighley 2758 on a #60 to Keighley.

There was a bit of a gap in the service and the traffic coming out of Leeds was quite heavy. Whilst we waited Matthew sat at the bus stop and ate a Flake. Eventually the bus battled it's way through the traffic. It was First West Yorkshire 35308 on a #33 to Guiseley.

We go on the bus and we flashed the WY Daysaver bus tickets to the driver before we went upstairs and we sat down. We set off along the A65 and we went Northwards we had spotted the signs. We had actually stopped by the building to look at the bricks in the remains of a low wall! We continued to the next stop and we got up and got off the bus. We walked back towards the ghost sign and as we did we saw Transdev 241 on a A3 service, First West Yorkshire 35599 on a #34 to Otley and First West Yorkshire 37696 on a #508 to Halifax. We got to the sign and we took picture from across the road. We walked to the crossing and we took pictures of the ghost sign visible in the side street too. Afterwards we walked to the bus stop where we had originally got off the bus to catch something towards Leeds. A short time later we saw First West Yorkshire 32538 on a #508 to Leeds city centre.

We go on the bus and we flashed the WY Daysaver bus tickets to the driver before we went upstairs and we sat down. We set off along the A65 and we passed Dave's Pies and Ale and the Rising Sun pub. We crossed under the railway line and we crossed the A58(M). We ran forwards onto Wellington Street and we turned left onto King Street. We turned right onto The Headrow and we turned right onto Park Street where the bus terminated. We got up and got off the bus. We set off on foot along Park Street and we saw turning right onto The Headrow and we stopped at Greggs and we sat on a bench outside to eat the sausage roll. We washed them down with the can of Coke. When we had finished we walked back along The Headrow and we went past the former Lloyds bank. We walked onto Eastgate and we saw First West Yorkshire 69418 on a #48 to Wigton Moor.

We continued down to the roundabout and we veered left onto Duke Street. We cut through the coach station into the bus station and Matthew visited the toilet. We needed to head back towards Bradford as it was starting to get a bit late. As we waited for a bus in the right direction we saw Transdev Harrogate 1858 on a #7 to Harrogate.

We got on the bus and we flashed the WY Daysaver bus tickets to the driver before going upstairs. The rear of the top deck was empty so matthew took a picture inside First West Yorkshire 35100.

We decided we would do this part way back to Bradford and then get off to get something else on a different route to ensure we got something different to what we had been on before. We set off out of the bus station and we set off onto Duke Street. We turned left onto Eastgate and we ran up the hill running forwards onto The Headrow. We continued onto Westgate and we joined the Westbound A58 (M). We crossed the River Aire and we ran under the railway line before turning right onto Canal Street. We continued onto Armley Road and the A647. We ran forwards onto Stanningley Road and close to Bramley and Pudsey railway stations. We ran through Stanningley and we re-joined the Westbound A647. We ran around the large roundabout in Thornbury and we past the KFC which is currently being refurbished. We continued onto Leeds Road we headed towards the A6177 and as we got close we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew took another picture of First West Yorkshire 35100 as it continued towards Bradford.

We walked around the corner onto the A6177 and we stopped to look at building site where there were some interesting bricks. We crossed over the railway line and we waited for a bus towards Bradford. A short time later we saw First West Yorkshire 35227 on a #608 to Bradford.

We set off up the A6177 and we turned left onto the A647. We ran to the edge of town and we ran forwards onto the A6181. We turned right Bank Street. We turned left onto Broadway and we stopped at the back of a row of buses. We got up and we got off the bus and Matthew took a picture of First West Yorkshire 35227 before it worked another #608 Holme Wood circular service.

We turned the corner onto Channing way and right onto Hall Ings. We headed back to Broadway to the exit where we came out of the shopping cente, but we could no get through the door. We walked through the shopping centre and we stopped at the toilets. We continued through the shopping centre to the stairs and we went up to level 2 and met up with mum again. We got in the car and we set off out of the car park and we turned left onto Hall Ings. We joined the Southbound A650, but we realised we were heading in the wrong direction. We turned right onto Prospect Street and we realised that Matthew hadn't had a drink so we pulled over and Matthew had a can of Irn Bru from out of the boot. We continued down Prospect Street and we contnued onto Mill Lane. We turned left onto Manchester Road and we headed Southwards. We turned left onto the anti-clockwise A6177 and we went Eastwards towards Asda. We turned right onto Burnham Avenue instead of Bierley Lane so we ran around the block via Fernand Avenue and Shetcliffe lane before stopping at the chip shop at the top of Bierley Lane. We stopped to get chips and Matthew had a jumbo sausage and chips. After we had eaten we set off doen Bierley Lane and we turned right on to Rockhill Lane. We turmed left onto Wharfdale Road. We ran forwards onto Merrydale Road and we joined the Southbound M606. We ran down to the end of the motorway and we turned right to join the Westbound M62. We ran over the top of the Pennines and I was starting to feel a little tired so we pulled into Birch services. We went to the toilet and on the way back to the car we saw Holly Bank Trust HX68 BXU.

We got back in the car and we set off onto the Westbound M62. We ran forwards onto the anti-clockwise M60 and we continued onto the Westbound M62. We joined the Southbound M6 ran through Cheshire. We came off the M6 at junction 16 and we ran down the A500. We came off the A500 at Stoke and we ran forwards onto Wheildon Road and we stopped at uncle Dave's house. Matthew drank some of uncle Rob's Irn Bru and we updated the calendar with today's trip. We said goodbye to uncle Dave and we got back in the car. We set off onto Wheildon Road and we ran forwards onto the A500. We turned left onto Church Street and we ran around the one-way system in Stoke. We turned left onto London Road and we stopped at Sainsbury's petrol station to get fuel. We continued along London Road and at Trent Vale we joined the Southbound A34. We ran under the A500 into Hanford and we continued to Trentham. We turned left onto the A5035 and we got back to Blurton around 20:15. Matthew chilled out on his computer and we did some of the Blog. We also wrote a few emails and generally used the computer to entertain ourselves. We watched TV and Matthew got ready for bed.
