Trip to Hanley / Bentilee 30-06-2026

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going out on the bus. Matthew woke up around 08:00 and had his medication. For breakfast he had toast and orange juice. Matthew also watched buses out of the window. Later on we went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We stopped at the Co-operative food. We turned left Temple Street and we walked back to the residential unit. Near to the unit we saw Safeguard YJ67 CNK. Matthew went upstairs to his room to chill out and watch buses out of the window we saw white minibus BU14 GYK. Matthew got ready to go to Newcastle. When it was time to go out we went downstairs and onto Temple Street. We turned cut through onto City Road and we headed towards the bus stop. The traffic was unusually busy and the bus was a little late. A short time later we saw the bus approaching. It was First Potteries 67158 on a #23 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we joined the A52 to go under the railway line and over the A500. We continued onto Church Street and into the centre of Stoke. After a brief stop we continued around the one-way system onto Elenora Steet and right onto Copeland street. We turned left onto Glebe Street and we went under the railway line before turning left onto Station Road. We went past the railway station ans we turned right onto College Road. After running the hill through Shelton we continued onto Cleveland Road and forwards onto Regent Road. We turned left onto Lower Bethesda Street and we crossed over the ring road onto Bethesda Street before we turned right onto John Street. We climbed the hill and up into the bus station. We got up and got off the got off the bus. Once in the bus station. We waited for a bus to Bentilee and a short time later we saw Stanton's of Stoke VT63 SOS on a #50 to Lightwood. A bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 63117 on a #11B to Bentilee.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We turned left onto the ring road and left onto Lichfield Street and we turned right onto Birch Terrace. We followed the road around onto Charles Street and we turned right onto Old Hall Street. We crossed over the ring road onto Bucknall New Road. We ran down the hill through Limekiln lights. we turned right onto Dividy Road. We turned left onto Beverley Drive We got up and got off the bus. We crossed over Chelmsford Drive and and we walked down the path onto Exeter Green. We crossed over Winchester Avenue onto Aylesbury Road and we walked onto Winslow Green. We turned left onto Ubberley Road and we crossed over Dawlish Drive and we headed over to the neighbourhood centre. After parking up we went in the centre. We got to the dentist. We went to have his teeth checked out. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards had his twice yearly check up. when they had finished we walked down Dawlish Drive and to the first bus stop. We waited for a bus towards Bentilee. A short time later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67181 on a #11 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Dawlish Drive and at the end we turned left onto Beverley Drive and left onto the A5272 and we ran down the hill to Bucknall. We turned left onto the A52 we ran to limekiln lights and we went across onto Bucknall New Road. We climbed the hill up to Hanley and we joined the clockwise ring road. We turned right onto Bethesda Road and right onto John Street and into the bus station and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we walked along Bagnall Street and we walked past the Town Hall and we went forwards onto Old Hall Street and we went into B&M. Matthew brought some of his weekly shopping. Once we had paid for our shopping we walked out of the shop and forwards onto Tontine Street. We walked through Tontine Square onto Parliament Row. We stopped at Poundland and Matthew brought a bottle of Coke. After we had been to Poundland we stopped on Upper Market Square and We sat down and Matthew had a bottle of coke. When we had finished we walked along Tontine Street and forwards onto Lichfield Street and we stopped at the bus station to use the toilet. A few minutes later we saw a bus come around the corner. It was First Potteries 63114 on a #38A to Waterhayes.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station and onto John Street. At the bottom of the road we turned right onto Bethesda Street. We crossed over Broad Street and we continued onto Marsh Street. At the lights we turned left onto Etruria Road past former Sainsbury's supermarket. Just before we got to the A53 onto Festival Way. We ran past former Autobrite Direct which is going to be converted into new pickleball sports centre. We turned left onto Shelton Boulevard and we turned right onto Forge Lane past the Brindley Farm pub. We looped under the A53 and we joined the Westbound A53. We crossed over the A500 at Etruria and and we ran up the hill into Basford and we ran down hill to the edge of Newcastle and we got onto the one way system. At the jubilee roundabout we turned left onto Barracks Road before turning right into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Once we got off the bus. We walked out of the bus station. A few minutes later a bus appeared and it was First Potteries 67149 on a #22 to Longton.

We got on the bus and we booked to Longton before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station onto Barracks Road and we ran Southwards onto the A34. We turned left into the hospital and we ran through the the grounds. We turned right onto Hilton Road and forwards onto Harpfields Road. We ran to the end and we turned left onto the Southbound A34. We ran under the A500 into Hanford and we turned left onto Church Lane. We climbed to the top of the hill and we turned right onto Wilson Road. We turned left onto New Inn Lane and we ran into Trentham. We turned left onto the A5035 and we crossed over the railway line into Blurton. We passed the end of Stanley Matthew Way and we turned left onto Magdalen Road. We turned right onto Finstock Avenue and left onto Beaconsfield Drive and we ran through the estate to the other end. We turned left onto Church Road and at the the roundabout we turned left onto Blurton Road. We ran to the bottom of the hill and we turned right onto Longton Hall Road. We ran up the hill and we ran forwards onto Heathcote Street. We turned left onto the high level A50 and at the roundabout we turned right onto Baths Road. We ran past Tesco before turning right into Longton Interchange and we got up and got off the bus. We walked over to Tesco and Matthew used the toilet. Once off we walked onto The Strand and we walked to the bus stop. We waited for a bus towards Fenton. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 35947 on a #40 to Fenton.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down The Strand. We turned left into Baths Road and we entered Longton Transport Interchange. After a brief stop we ran out onto Baths Road. We crossed over the A50 and we went straight onto Foley Road. At the end of the Road we turned right on Longton Hall Road. We climbed the hill and then went down into Blurton. We turned right onto Blurton Road and we climbed up the hill into Heron Cross. We crossed the A50 and at the traffic Light we turned left onto Grove Road. We continued into Mount Pleasant and onto Wheildon Road. We turned right by The Regent onto Smithpool Road and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we walked back to the residential unit. We set off along Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to his room to chill out and watch buses out of the window. We went downstairs and we set off onto City Road and we crossed over onto Manor Street for We stopped at the Fenton Community Hall and Matthew went to the toilet. Afterwards we had a drink of Coke. Matthew had a ham sandwich and sausage rolls. After we had finished we returned to the residential unit. We walked along Manor Street and we crossed over City Road and we turned right onto onto Temple Street and we returned to the residential unit. We went upstairs and back into his room. Later on Matthew chilled out in his room. He watched television and used his computer. Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going out on the bus later on and Karaoke and disco night in the the lounge. Matthew woke up at 08:00 and had his medication. Matthew got up around 08:30 and had pancakes for breakfast washed down with orange juice. Later on we went downstairs and we set off onto City Road. We walked down to the bus stop outside the flats. We waited for a bus to Hanley. On the way we saw ERS Medical YJ21 FML. We stood at the bus stop and we waited for a first but to Hanley. A short time later we saw the bus approaching. It was First Potteries 63360 on a #11 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre along Church Street. After a brief stop in Stoke we continued along church Street and forwards onto Hartshill Road. We ran up the hill and into Hartshill. We ran forwards onto George Street and we ran down the hill into Newcastle. We turned left at the roundabout onto Barracks Road and into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. As it got closer we saw that it was First Potteries 63349 on a #39A to Butt Lane.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down. We set off out of the bus station and onto Barracks Road. We crossed the Jubilee Roundabout and onto the A53. We ran into Basford and over the A500. We ran down into Etruria and over the A500. We continued along the A53 and we turned left onto Forge Lane. We turned left onto Shelton Boulevard and we turned right onto Etruria Valeey Link Road and we ran out along the Lane and we crossed over the canal before we returned back into Etruria along festival Way. We crossed under the A53 onto Etruria Road. We ran up the hill into Hanley and we ran forwards onto Trinity Street. We turned right onto Stafford Street and we continued past the Albion and the town Hall and we ran forwards onto Bagnall Street and we ran up the hill to the bus station and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we set off out of the bus station onto Lichfield Street. We went forwards onto Tontine Street an onto Tontine Square. We continued onto Market Square and around the corner to Greggs. Matthew picked a caramel shortbread fot later. We headed back through the sqiares onto Tontine Street and onto Lichfield Street. We crossed over the ring road and we went to the chip shop. Matthew had sausage, chips and gravy washed down with a can of Coke. After we had finished eating we retrned to the bus station. We crossed over the ring road and onto Lichfield Street. We headed into the bus station and we waited for a bus to Trent Vale. A few mninutes later the bus appeared. It was First Potteries 63360 on a #11 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We turned left onto the ring road and left onto Lichfield Street and we turned right onto Birch Terrace. We followed the road around onto Charles Street and we turned right onto Old Hall Street. At the roundabout we turned right onto Anchor Road. system onto Commerce Street and right onto The Strand. After a brief stop we ran down the Strand and under the railway line onto King Street. We continued down through Fenton and forwards onto City Road. We went past KFC and we got up and got off at the Travers Court bus stop outside the block of flats. Once off the bus we walked onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went up to his room to use his computer and watch buses. He also ate the a bottle of Coke and a toffee Crisp. Later on we went downstairs and we set off onto City Road and we saw Afford rent-a-car CK25 VLE outside there yard. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67159 on a #23 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Trent Vale before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We crossed over the ring road and we ran down onto Regent Road and forwards onto Cleveland Road. We ran down though Shelton along College Road and we ran down to the railway station. We turned left onto Station Road and we ran part the railway station before going right onto Glebe Street. After a brief stop we continued forwards onto Glebe Street and we followed the road around onto Church Street. The bus rounded the corner onto Campbell Place and forwards onto London Road. We continued through the West End and Oakhill and past the former Oakhill pub. We ran into Trent Vale and we turned left onto the A34 and we got up and got off the bus. As we set off towards the pub we saw First Potteries 63356 on a #22 to Newcastle. We went into the pub and Matthew found a seat where he could see out of the window. We walked into the pub and Matthew had a mixed grill washed down with a glass of Coke. For afters matthew had a cheesecake with custard. whilst at the pub highlights of the bus sightings were First Potteries 63100 on a #101 to Stafford and Safeguard YJ67 CNK heading Northwards. When he had finished eat Matthew set off onto the A34 and around the corner onto London Road to wait for the bus back towards Stoke. A short time later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67159 on a #21 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Stoke before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off along London Road and we ran through Oak Hill past the former Oak Hill pub. We continued through the the West End before running into Stoke Town centre and Campbell Place. There was nothing of interest parked up in City cabs and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we set off along London Road. We turned right into Church Street to wait for a First bus back up to Fenton. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 63357 on a #11 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Church Street out of Stoke and over the A500. We ran under the railway line and we continued onto City Road. At the top of the hill we got up and got off the bus. We crossed over City Road and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs and Matthew went to his room to chill out and watch buses out of the window. Later on Matthew went downstairs for a party. Matthew had chocolate bars and Frazzle. Matthe washed this down with a can of Coke. Afterwards Matthew went back upstairs to his room. Later on Matthew had a bath followed by toast for supper. Matthew then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going out on the bus. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window we saw Safeguard YJ67 CNK. Matthew got ready to go to Newcastle. When it was time to go out we went downstairs and onto Temple Street. We turned cut through onto City Road and we headed towards the bus stop. The traffic was unusually busy and the bus was a little late. A short time later we saw the bus approaching. It was First Potteries 67150 on a #11 to Newcastle.

The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre along Church Street. After a brief stop in Stoke we continued along church Street and forwards onto Hartshill Road. We ran up the hill and into Hartshill. We ran forwards onto George Street and we ran down the hill into Newcastle. We turned left at the roundabout onto Barracks Road and into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Once we got to the bus station we got up and got off the bus. We waited for a back to Talke Pits. We waited for a back to Talke Pits. After a short while we saw First Potteries 35945 on the #25 to Keele. A few minutes later the bus appeared and it was First Potteries 63349 on a #38 to Kidsgrove.

We got on the bus and we booked to Talke Pits before sitting down towards the back of the bus. set of out of the bus station onto Barracks Road and at the roundabout we turned left onto Ryecroft. At the roundabout we turned right onto the Northbound A34. We ran Northwards past the bus garage and we ran through Milehouse. We ran Northwards to the McDonald roundabout and we turned left onto Wolstanton Road. At the roundabout we turned right onto Chesterton High Street. We turned right onto Crackley Bank and we ran through Crackley and Red Street. We crossed over the A500 and we veered left onto Talke High Street. We turned right somewhere and left onto Chester Road. We re-joined the road and we ran forwards onto Coalpit Hill. We ran forwards onto the A34 and up towards somewhere where we turned right onto the B5371. We turned right onto Mitchell Avenue and we turned left onto Lower Ash Road. We turned right onto First Avenue and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we walked around the corner onto the B5371. As we turned into the A50 and we went into the Caffe Latte. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards he had sausage and cheese oatcake washed down with a can of Coke. Once we had finished in the Caffe Latte we walked back onto the A50 and across to the bus stop where we waited for a #38A to Hanley. A short time later the bus appeared. It was First Potteries 67157 on a #38A to Hanley. We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down. We set off along the A50. We ran up the hill into Goldenhill and then forwards through Sandyford past the retail park into Tunstall. We ran down the High Street. We continued down the High Street and we ran past the former Co-operative bank. We turned left onto Williamson Street. At the roundabout we turned right onto Scotia Road and past the the old bus garage before running up the hill into Burslem town centre. We continued into Cobridge and down into Hanley. We joined Hope Street and we ran forwards to Stafford Street. We got up and got off the bus. We continued along Stafford Street and we walked up Piccadilly into Tontine Square. We continued along Tontine Street. Once we had finished we went to the Intu Potteries shopping centre. After visiting shops in the shopping centre we walked down Tontine Square. We went into Stafford Street and forwards onto Lichfield Street and back to the bus station. A few minutes later a bus appeared and it was First Potteries 63363 on a #11 to Newcastle.

We returned onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. When Matthew got back we went upstairs and went up to his room to chill out and use the computer. He also watched buses out of the window. After a few minutes we saw white minibus FJ26 AYL. We went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street. We waited for a bus towards Hanley. After a short wait we saw a bus approaching. The bus appeared and it was First Potteries 67154 on a #23 to Hanley. We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Christchurch Street. We turned left onto City Road and we joined the A52 to go under the railway line and over the A500. We continued onto Church Street and into the centre of Stoke. After a brief stop we continued around the one-way system onto Elenora Steet and right onto Copeland street. We turned left onto Glebe Street and we went under the railway line before turning left onto Station Road. We went past the railway station and and turned right onto College Road. We got on the bus and we booked to Kidsgrove before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station and onto John Street. We turned right onto Bethesda Street and we went straight across onto Marsh Street. We turned right up onto trinity Street and then left onto Stafford Street. After picking up more passenger outside of Debenhams. We followed the road around to the left and then back onto marsh Street. At the roundabout we went straight on onto Waterloo Road and we ran up the hill into Cobridge. We continued into Buslem and through the traffic lights onto Scotia Road. We went past the old Burslem PMT garage and we followed the road around to the left onto Williamson Street. At the corner we turned right onto Tunstall High Street and past the A527 where there is a new pertol station. We continued North onto the A50. We ran through Goldenhill and we got up and got off the bus. We walked down to the Goldenhill Community Centre and we went to a fun day. Matthew used the toilet and afterwards had chicken nuggets and chips for tea. Matthew had a can of Coke. For dessert Matthew had some cake. When we had finished we got back into the car and we set off onto the A50. We ran North into Kidsgrove and we turned right onto Mount Road. We continued onto Pennyfield Road and we ran up through Harriseahead and towards Mow Cop. We continued up to the Edge of Biddulph and we turned right onto the A527. We ran Southwards through Brown Lees and Brindley Ford and we followed the road through Knypersley and Fegg Hayes up to Chell. We continued along the A527 through Pits Hill and Sandyford and down to the A500. We ran Southwards through Longport and Etruria and we came off the A500 at Stoke. We ran up the A52 under the railway line and we ran forwards onto City Road and into Fenton. We turned right into Manor Street and left into Victoria Road and we continued onto Victoria Road and we stopped at Buzz Bingo. Matthew went to the toilet and had a down with a cup of Coke. We got an ABC Supreme taxi back to the residential unit. We set off up Victoria Road. We turned right onto City Road and left onto Smithpool Road. We turned left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to his room and chilled out in his room and use his computer and watch buses out of the window. Later on Matthew chilled out in his room. Matthew used his computer and watched music videos on the television. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He watch TV and used his computer. Matthew went to bed at 00:00... Mark

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going out on the bus. Matthew woke up around 08:00 and had his medication. For breakfast he had toast and orange juice. Matthew also watched buses out of the window. Later on we went downstairs and we set off onto City Road and we saw Safeguard YJ67 CNK. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67158 on a #23 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we joined the A52 to go under the railway line and over the A500. We continued onto Church Street and into the centre of Stoke. After a brief stop we continued around the one-way system onto Elenora Steet and right onto Copeland street. We turned left onto Glebe Street and we went under the railway line before turning left onto Station Road. We went past the railway station ans we turned right onto College Road. After running the hill through Shelton we continued onto Cleveland Road and forwards onto Regent Road. We turned left onto Lower Bethesda Street and we crossed over the ring road onto Bethesda Street before we turned right onto John Street. We climbed the hill and up into the bus station. We got up and got off the got off the bus. Once off the bus we walked up Lichfield Street and we turned right onto Old Hall Street. We walked through the town centre and just before the Intu Potteries shopping centre we turned right onto Huntbach Street. We crossed over the ring road and we walked up the hill to the dentist. Matthew had a check-up and then set off back through Hanley. We walked through Tontine Square to the Intu Potteries shopping centre. We went into the market hall and we stopped at Cafe No 22 and Matthew had sausage oatcakes and a bottle of coke. We went past Realm of Distinction and it is temporarily closed. We went up in the lift and we walked though and down onto Stafford Street and we went onto Lichfield Street and back to the bus station. Whilst we waited we saw D&G Bus 111 on a #24 to Newstead. As short time later we saw a bus approach the stand. We saw it was First Potteries 63359 on a #6 to Park Hall.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We turned left onto the ring road and we turned right onto Lichfield Street and we ran down the hill to Joiners Square. We crossed the roundabout onto Victoria Road. and we ran up the hill into Fenton. At the top of the hill we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we set off on foot up Victoria Road and we went sharp right onto City Road and we stopped at Derby Street Pharmacy. After the brief stop we went up Glebedale Road. We turned left onto Baker Street and we turned right Christchurch Street. We turned left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs and back to his room. Matthew used his computer and watched television in his room. Whilst he waited he had a can of Coke. We went downstairs and cut through onto City Road. We crossed over at the crossing and we headed to the stop outside the shops. We waited for a bus towards Hanley. As it got closer we saw that it was First Potteries 67172 on a #11 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road past the Burger King. As we ran up onto King Street and we ran through Foley and we under the railway line into Longton town centre. We stopped outside the old job centre as the #11 no longer calls in the Interchange. We ran up Market Street and we turned left onto Anchor Road. We got up and got off the bus. Once off up Anchor Road we went to the Premier shop where Matthew had a can of Coke. We walked back along Anchor Road and we turned left onto Wood Street and past the former GP Surgery where work has started to build new flats. Once off the bus we went down The Strand and we saw Travel Express LF66 HKD.

We ran under the railway line onto King Street to wait a bus back to Fenton. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67142 on a #6 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off along King Street. We ran through Foley into Fenton and forwards onto City Road and we saw the Burger King starting to take shape. We turned right into Victoria Road and we got up and got off the bus. One off the bus we set off on foot onto City Road and we turned left onto Manor Street. We stopped at the Fenton Community Hall and Matthew went to the toilet. Afterwards we had a drink of Coke. Matthew had a ham sandwich and sausage rolls. After we had finished we returned to the residential unit. We walked along Manor Street and we crossed over City Road and we turned right onto onto Temple Street and we returned to the residential unit. We went upstairs and back into his room. Later on Matthew chilled out in his room. He watched television and used his computer. Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00...
