Trip to Joiners Square / Trent Vale 06-03-2015

Today Matthew was going for tea in Trent Vale but not before he spent the day with his day service. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and juice for breakfast. The bus turned up and it was his usual transport, Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU.

We set off onto the A5035 and turned right towards Trentham. We ran up into Trentham and turned right onto New Inn Lane and right on Pacific Drive. They picked up a service user and headed back onto the A5035. We carried on back towards Blurton and we turned onto Church Road an continued through Blurton. We crossed the A50 and went into Heron Cross. We went straight across the traffic lights and onto Heron Street. We followed the road around and turned left into Christchurch Road before reaching the destination. In the morning Matthew went into the sensory and spent time using a computer. We went to fetch dinner from the chip shop. For dinner he had sausage chips and gravy from the chips shop followed by toffee cheesecake. Matthew had been due to go to the pub in Joiners Square. Today Matthew went in a City Cabs minibus. When it turned up we saw it was required City Cabs EF05 OLX.

We got on the bus sat down and the bus set off onto Glebedale Road. We turned Right onto City Road it was Abbey Hill School minibus X286 VDY. and then left on Victoria Road. At the Joiners Square roundabout we went straight across onto Lichfield Street and we reached our destination. Matthew used the toilet and had a glass of Coke or two. Highlight of the bus sighting today was City Cabs YE08 PYJ heading towards Hanley.

When it was time to go we were picked up by Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU. We went onto the A52 before turning left onto Victoria Road. We carried on up Victoria Road before turning right onto Manor Street. At the en of Manor Street we turned left onto City Road and then right onto Glebedale Road reaching the destination. We stayed on the bus and we carried on home. We set off towards heron Cross and we carried on into Blurton. We went forward onto Church Road and then right onto Beaconsfield Drive. We got to home just before 15:00. We had both seen required First Potteries 66304 working on the #22 today, so we decided to wait and catch it on the 16:37 through Blurton. Matthew had some toast and a drink of dandelion & burdock and he used his computer until it was time to go out. We set off on foot to the bus stop on Magdalen Road. 16:37 came and went and then bus was clearly late again today. The #22 to Dresden which was due around 16:47 turned up around five late and it was dud First Potteries 60069.

Shortly after that we saw Stoke City minibus BF08 MSU heading towards the A5035.

Around 17:00 running approximately 23 minutes late, required First Potteries 66304 rounded the corner as expected.

We got on the bus and we booked to Harpfield Drive and we sat down near to the back of the bus. The bus set off onto the A5035 and we turned right towards Trentham. As we turned the corner we passed D&G 170 on the Blurton Plumline. We passed Stanley Matthews Way and we then passed D&G 174 on the Trentham Plumline. We turned onto new Inn Lane and we passed First Potteries 40367 on the #21A to the Trentham Hotel. Further up the road we passed First Potteries 40023 on the #21 to Pacific Drive. We carried on through Hanford and down onto the A34. we saw blue minibus EY12 TYC. We crossed under the A500 and into Trent Vale. We passed First Potteries 60202 on the #22 to Dresden and First Potteries 53405 on the #21B to Trentham Gardens. The bus turned right onto Harpfields Road and we got up and got off the bus. Matthew got another picture of First Potteries 66304 as it carried on towards Newcastle.

We walked back onto the A34 and we stopped near to the pub to take a couple of picture. We saw Newcastle School EJ60 RPZ. We carried onto the pub and we met with mum who had already ordered the food. Matthew had a brunch with bread and butter followed by toffee sponge pudding with ice cream. Whilst we ate highlights of the passing buses were First Potteries 65026 & 65027 on the #22, Guardian Care DF02 FYV and Allendale NK02 KVF. After we had finished eating we went out to the car. We called Uncle Dave and we went to pick him up. We drove along the A34 and onto and A500 before turning East on the A50 and going into Heron Cross before we headed into Fenton. After we had picked up uncle Dave, we headed up to Heron Cross and through Blurton, getting home around 18:25. Matthew then chilled out watching bus videos, eating cheesecake and using his computer before bedtime around 00:00... Mark
