Trip to Fenton / Abbey Hulton 20-08-2015

Today Matthew was in respite and was going home after his day at the day centre. Matthew got up at 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. After breakfast Matthew waited for the bus to come to take him to his day service. Whilst he was waiting we saw Stoke-on-Trent City Council welfare bus KN61 EZV.

A short while late his transport appeared and it was Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU.

We got on the bus and the bus set off onto Dividy Road. We saw Bentilee Volunteers WX05 MVA on the road behind us.

The bus carried on down to Bucknall and we joined the A52. At Limekiln Bank we followed the A52 to the left and we carried on down to Joiners Square. At the roundabout at Joiners square we turned left and went up Victoria Road. At the top of Victoria Road we turned sharp right onto City Road and then onto Glebedale Road and to our destination. In the morning Matthew went in the sensory room and then used the computers. For dinner Matthew had beans on toast. After dinner Matthew had a trampoline session in Abbey Hulton. The transport for the trip was Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU. The bus set off onto City Road and then sharp left onto Victoria Road. At joiners Square we turned right onto the A52. At Limekiln Bank we carried straight on towards Abbey Hulton We turned right onto Abbots Road and to our destination. Matthew went into the building and used the toilet. He spent the afternoon on the trampoline. When he was finished they came out of the building and we saw Allendale PN07 BHJ.

For the journey back to the day centre Matthew climbed aboard Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU. We set off onto Abbotts Road and then left onto Leek Road. At Limekiln Bank we carried straight onto the A52. At the roundabout at Joiners square we turned left and went up Victoria Road. At the top of Victoria Road we turned sharp right onto City Road and then onto Glebedale Road and to our destination. After a quick break Matthew climbed aboard Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX for the journey home.We set off onto Glebedale Road and straight onto Station Bridge Road and Heron Street. In Heron Cross we went straight across onto Blurton Road and over the A50. We carried on into Blurton along Blurton Road and forward onto Church Road. We turned right onto Beaconsfield Road and arrived home just before 15:00. Matthew had toast and a drink of cherryade whilst he waited for the time to go out. Matthew had an appointment with the Orthotics department. We got in the car and we set off onto the A5035. We ran through Trentham onto the A5035 and we joined the A34. We went North around Newcastle and past the closed First Potteries Newcastle depot. We carried on towards Crackley and we turned right into the industrial estate. Matthew had his feet checked and then we returned to the car. We drove back onto the A34 and we saw Magnum minibus LT03 RXZ on the roundabout. We went South down the A34 and we went past Newcastle bus station. We rejoined the A34 and we stopped for tea at the Cherry Tree. Matthew had a breakfast washed down with a glass of Coke. For dessert Matthew had a Mars Attacks. Whilst ate the pub we saw City Cabs LL09 SSV. When we had finished eating we got back into the car and we drove Southwards down the A34. At Hanford we went up Church lane and then right onto Wilson Road. We went down New Inn Lane and we went onto Pacitic Drive to drop a few things off. We joined New Inn Lane again and then we turned left onto the A5035 and we passed Warringtons of Ilam MX56 FXG. We got home around 18:00. Matthew unpacked his thing from his suitcase and then chilled out on the computer until bedtime around 23:30... Mark
