Trip to Fenton / Meir 18-08-2015

Today Matthew was in respite and was going to his day service. Matthew got up around 08:00 and he had some toast for breakfast. Just before 09:00 the bus came to take him to his day service. Today it was Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU.

We left the respite place and we travelled through Bentilee to Bucknall. We joined the A52 and followed around to joiners Square. We then went up Victoria Road before turning right into manor Street. We tutned left onto to City Road and right onto Glebedale Road before reaching our destination. In the morning Matthew went into the sensory room and also used the computer. For dinner Matthew had cheese oatcakes. After dinner Matthew went for a ramble around Fenton. We set off onto Chridtchurch Street and visited the co-operative food store were we brought a can of Coke. We went back onto Christchuerch Street were we saw First Potteries 53207 on a #23 to Hanley.

We walked onto Clifton Street and forwards onto Crawford Street. At they end they went along the back Street behind Welby Street and then onto Smithpool Road. We then saw First Potteries 53122 on a #23A to Hanley.

We walked around Smith's Pool and we sat down where Matthew ate a Flake and 2 milky Ways! When matthew had finished eating he walked back to the day service via Smithpool Road, Welby Street back alley, Crawford Street, Clifton Street and Christchurch Street. Matthew went to the toilet and when it was time to go back to respite we climbed aboard Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU for the journey back. We set off onto City Road and then sharp left down Victoria Road. At joiners Square rounabout we went straight across onto Lichfield Street. At the top he turned right into Regent Road and then onto Harding Road and we stopped at the YMCA. We left the YMCA and went forwards onto the Parkway. We went forwards onto Ridgeway Road before cutting down mawson Grove onto the A52. We turned left and at joiners Sqaure roundabout we carried on straight towards Limekilm Bank. We turned right to follow the A52 and we turned right again onto Dividy Road. We drove up to through Bentilee up to the Lidl roundabout and then did a 180' to go back down the road to the respite place. When Matthew got back he went out on the bus to go to The New Florence for tea. We crossed the road and waited for the bus. When it turned up it was required First Potteries 63096. We got on the bus and booked to Meir. The bus set off up Dividy Road and past the First Potteries bus garage. We carried on past Park Hall and then turned down Defoe Drive to run through the estate before come out further along Weston Coyney Road. At the end we turned right onto the A520. We turned left onto Brookwood Drive and we went though Meir and we got off the bus on Stansmore Road. We waited for the next #6 bus and when it turned up it was required First Potteries 63172. We got on the bus and we booked to Florence. The bus re-joined the A520 and we went through Meir town centre before turning right onto Waterhead Road. We followed the road forwards onto Grosvenor Road and Meir Road and when we got near to the junction of Lightwood Road we got up and got off the bus. We walked over to the new Florence pub and Matthew used the toilet anf had a drink of Coke. For tea Matthew had a breakfast followed by cake and custard. When it was time to leave we went back to respite in a car. We returned to respite vis Lightwood Road, Anchor Road and dividy Road. When Matthew got back to the respite place he watched telly and later he had a bath. Matthew chilled out in his room on his tablet computer until bedtime around 23:30... Mark
