Today Matthew was in respite and he was going to his day service and we had a gas inspection. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. There was still work going on at the respite place, so there were builders and building work being carried out in various place around the place. After breakfast Matthew waited for the bus to turn up, which today was Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU.

We got on the bus and set off onto Dividy Road and we ran down to Bucknall where we joined the A52. We followed the road around to the left and at Joiners Square we went left onto Victoria Road. We went up the hill to the toip of the road and then we turned right onto the City Road. We turned left onto Glebedale Road and to our destination. In the morning Matthew went shopping in The Range. We walked onto Christchurch Street and we turned left onto Temple Street. We turned right into Smithpool Road and then left onto City Road. As we walked down the hill we saw Copeland's Tours MIB 542.

In the shop matthew went into the cafe and had some toast and a can of Coke. After he had finished eating we walked out onto City Road and we went under the railway line onto the A52. We joined the Southbound Trent & Mersey canal towpath and we walked down around 1/2 mile and onto Whieldon Road. We went under the railway line and we climbed up the hill. Part way up we saw Stanton's of Stoke Mercedes minibus KY12 YGC.

We carried on up Whieldon Road and we turned left onto Willowdale Avenue and we went across the spare ground and onto Smithpool Road. We crossed over the railway line and we turned right onto Temple Street. At the top of Temple Street went crossed over Christchurch Street and into the Co-operative Food store. In the Co-op Matthew brought a can of Coke. After we had finished we walked to the day centre. For dinner Matthew had Pizza followed by a Bakewell Tart. In the afternoon Matthew went for a ramble around the lido. We set off Onto Christchurch Street we went down Masterson Street and onto Watkin Street. We walked to the end and we went down the back alley of Welby Street and onto Smithpool Street. We crossed over the railway line and we turned left into the lido. we walked around the pool and back onto Smithpool Road. We went back via Alma Street, Evelyn Street and onto Masterson Street. We went over Christchurch Street and back to the day centre. When it was time to go back to respite Matthew climbed back aboard Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU. We set off onto Glebedale Road and we turned right onto City Road. We joined the A50 link Road and we did the A50 to Heron Cross. We joined Blurton Road and we ran through Blurton and forwards onto Church Road. We turned right onto the A5035 and we ran over the railway line to Trentham. We turned right into New Inn Lane and we dropped a service user off before returning back onto the A5035. We ran back through Blurton and Dresden and over the A50. We joined Chadwick Street and we went past the Gladstone Pottery Museum. We crossed over Uttoxeter road and onto Bridgewood street. We turned left onto Forrister and then right onto Anchor Road. We ran to the top of the hill and into Adderley Green. In the back of the First garage we saw First Potteries Dart 41496. We turned left onto the A5272 and we ran into Bentilee and into respite. When Matthew got back he spent some time in his room watching the digger digging up the grounds of the building. We then saw Stoke-on-Trent city council minibus KY12 YEF.

A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 63176 on a #26 to Hanley.

For tea we went out to the Arnold Machin pub in Newcastle. Transport for the trip was Stanton's of Stoke minibus GX60 RHV. We got on the bus and we went down the A5272 towards Bucknall. We joined the A52 and then we went forwards onto Bucknall New Road. At the top of the hill we joined the clockwise ring road and we ran around to Snow Hill. We ran down the hill and we turned right onto Shelton New Road. We ran through Shelton and we ran up the hill to the edge of Newcastle. We ran down George Street into Newcastle and into Ironmarket. Matthew went into the pub and went to the toilet. For tea Matthew had gammon egg and chips washed down with a glass of Coke. For afters Matthew had chocolate fudge cake with ice cream. When we had finished Matthew went to the toilet and then we returned to Stanton's of Stoke minibus GX60 RHV. We set off out of Ironmarket over the Jubilee roundabout onto the A53. We ran over the A500 and into Etruria. We came off the A53 by Festival Park and we turned right onto Etruria Road. We joined the anti-clockwise ring road around to Bucknall New Road. We ran down the hill and over the canal and we joined the A52. We ran into Bucknall and we turned right onto the A5272. We ran up into Bentilee and back to respite. Once back in the home Matthew chilled out watching telly and using his computer. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. Matthew went to bed around 23:00... Mark
