Today Matthew was going to Blurton and going to visit grandma, but first he was going out on the bus. Matthew got up at 08:00 and had his medication. Matthew had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Later on we went downstairs and cut through onto City Road. We crossed over the road and headed to a bus stop. We waited for a bus towards Hanley. A few minutes later we saw the bus approaching and we saw it was First Potteries 63347 on a #11 to Hanley. We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off up City Road and we went forwards onto King Street. We ran through Foley and we under the railway line into Longton town centre. We ran up Market Street and we turned left onto Anchor Road. We turned left onto Upper Cross Street and right onto Wood Street. We turned left onto Ashwood and right onto Longley Street. We turned left onto left Heathcote Street and we turned right onto Galsworthy Road. We turned right onto Bambury Street and we ran to the end. We turned left onto Anchir Road and ran down to the roundabout in Adderley Green. At the roundabout at the East end of Bentilee we turned right onto Beverley Drive and then left onto Dawlish Drive and we ran to the end and we turned left onto Beverley Drive. At the end we turned right onto Dividy Road and we ran down the hill to Bucknall. We turned left onto the A52 we ran to limekiln lights and we went across onto Bucknall New Road. We climbed the hill up to Hanley and we joined the clockwise ring road. We turned right onto Bethesda Road and right onto John Street and we got up and got off the bus. Matthew got another picture of First Potteries 63347 before it continued into the bus station.

Once off the bus we walked along Bagnall Street and we walked past the Town Hall and we went forwards onto Old Hall Street. We walked up Tonerine Street and we stopped at the barbers and Matthew had his haircut. Afterwards we continued onto Market Square and we visited the card shop to buy christmas cards. We walked back down Tontine Street and onto Lichfield Street. We went to the bus station and Matthew went to the toilet. Afterwards we headed across Lichfield Street and the ring road to the chips shop for dinner. Matthew had sausage chips and gravy washed down with a can of Coke. When we had finished we headed back to the bus station to wait for a bus towards Fenton. A short time later we saw a bus on stand. We saw it was D&G Bus 151 on a #40 to Newstead.

We got on the bus and we booked to the Fenton before we went upstairs and we sat down. We set off out of bus station and onto John Street. We turned right onto Bethesda Street and left onto Broad Street. We ran down the hill and over the ring road onto Snow Hill Before we turned left onto Station Road and we past the railway station. We turned right onto Glebe Street and we ran into Stoke town centre. We turned left onto Church Street and we crossed over the A500 onto City Road. We ran under the railway line and up the hill into Fenton. We turned right onto Smithpool Road and we got up and got off by the railway bridge. Once off the bus we we walked up to the end of Smithpool Road.After a brief stop we walked back the other way to Temple Street. We stopped at WQueen Elizabeth Court and Matthew went to the dinning room. we also visitd the flats. When we had finished we headed over the road back to the residential unit. We went upstairs and Matthew chilled in his room and got ready to return to Blurton. Around 15:00 I arrived to pick Matthew up. We cut through onto City Road and we headed to the bus stop. We saw First Potteries 63175 on a #11 to Newcastle. We had a while to wait for the next Newcastle bus. Whilst we waited we saw First Potteries 67143 on a #23 to Hanley. I asked Matthew hich bu he wanted to catch. Initially we saw First Potteries 47519 on a #11 to Newcastle. As we were going to catch it we spotted another bus behind. As it got closer we saw it was D&G Bus 6009 on a #1 to Silverdale.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre. We continued along Church Street onto Hartshill Road and into the centre of Hartshill. We turned left into the Avenue and left again onto Hilton Road before turning right into the City General Hospital. hospital. As we travelled through the hospital we saw First Potteries 35944 on a #25 to Hanley. Once through the hospital we turned right onto the A34 and we ran into Newcastle. Opposte to the Cherry Tree we got up anf got off the bus. Matthew got another picture of D&G Bus 6009 as it continued towards the bus station.

Once off the bus we crossed over the road and we saw First Potteries 63358 on a #101 to Hanley. We went up the hill towards Grandma's. At Grandma's Matthew had toast and a can of Irn Bru and used her computer. When it was time to go we went to the pub in the car via uncle Daves house. We set off just after 17:30 and we set off onto Victoria Street. We joined the Southbound A34 and we turned left onto The Avenue. At the end we turned right onto Hartshill Road. We ran down to Stoke and onto the one way system. We turned right onto Elenora Street and we followed the road around onto Copeland Street. We ran forwards onto Glebe Street and we followed the one way system onto Church Street. We crossed over the A500. We turned right onto the A500. We veered left into Fenton to pick up uncle Dave. We set off back down towards Stoke and onto the A500. We turned left onto Church Street and and we went around the one-way system. We turned left onto London Road and we headed into the West End, and we ran past the former Oak Tree pub which has now been demolished. We ran to the end of London Road and we sat at the light waiting to turn right onto the A34. We continued up to the pub and we parked up. We walked into the pub and Matthew had a brunch with oatcakes followed by toffee sponge pudding with custard. Whilst we ate highlights of the passing buses included First Potteries 63346 on a #101 to Stafford. Once we had finished eating we set off. We carried on along the A34 Through Trent Vale into Hanford. We continued into Trentham and at the roundabout we turned left onto the A5035 and we came back to Blurton. In them afternoon we chilled out writing the Blog. Matthew had a can of Cherry Coke. Later on we took uncle Dave home. We got in the car and we set off through Burton and we ran along Beaconsfield Drive. We turned left onto Church Street and left onto Blurton Road and we crossed over the A50. We ran through Blurton and at the roundabout we veered right onto Church Street. We turned right onto the A5035 and back to Blurton. Later on we did some more of the Blog and had an ice pop. We chilled out on the sofa until bedtime around 00:00... Mark

Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the day centre, we saw First Potteries 63102 on a #11 to Hanley. We went downstairs to the car and we set off onto Temple Street where we saw Temple Street Church RX18 GZW. We turned left onto Christchurch Street and we turned left onto City Road. We turned right and went past Fenton Manor Sport Centre before turning onto Victoria Road and we crossed over the A52 at Joiners Square. We ran up Lichfield Street past the site of the new housoing development. We turned left onto the ring road and we turned left onto Etruria Road. At the roundabout we turned left onto the Westbound along the Westbound A53. In Etruria we turned right onto the Northbound A500. We travelled North to the M6 and we hit a little bit of traffic. As we got on the M6 As we travelled North. At junction 20 we got onto the Westbound M56. Traveling towards the M53 and we we turned left onto the A5117 and we turned right onto Kinsey Road. We turned right onto Coliseum Way and we turned right and we went to the Coliseum Shopping Park and stopped at McDonalds. Matthew had a burger and fries washed down with a cup of Coke. Once we had finished we got back into the car and we set off onto the the Coliseum Shopping Park and over the roundabout and onto Coliseum Way. We veered left onto Kinsey Road and left onto onto the A5117 and then joined the Northbound M53. At the next junction we got onto the eastbound M56. Near to Warrington we joined the Southbound M6. At junction 16 we joined the Southbound A500 to Etruria and we cam off the A500. We turned left onto City Road. We turned left onto Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street. When we got back to the residential unit we saw Shelton Care Group BL69 RFF. We went upstairs and Matthew chilled out in his room and used his computer. He also drank a can of Fanta orange. For tea Matthew had a chicken and potatoes. We went downstairs and we set off on foot to the bus stop. We walked onto Temple Street and right onto Christchurch Street. We went to the Co-op food and we bought a bottle of Coke. Afterwards we continued up City Road and we saw Afford rent-a-car MJ71 DFZ outside there yard. We stood at the bus stop outside the flats and we waited for a bus to Hanley. Whilst we waited we saw First Potteries 67145 on a #11 to Hanley.

A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67157 on a #11 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre along Church Street. After a brief stop in Stoke we continued along church Street and forwards onto Hartshill Road and we saw blue minibus V604 MBL. We ran up the hill and into Hartshill. We ran forwards onto George Street and we ran down the hill into Newcastle. We turned left at the roundabout onto Barracks Road and into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. A short time later we saw D&G Bus 151.

We set off onto Hassell Street and we turned right onto High Street and we turned left into Church Street and we turned left onto Bridge Street and we went under the subway on to the A34. We turned left Dunkirk and we saw white minibus SN56 FCL. We walked up Castle Hill Road and we right onto Stanier Street. We got out of the taxi and we saw grey minibus SH74 FET. When we got into the building Matthew went to the toilet. A short time later Matthew went inside and had some twirl chocolate bar and a bottle of Coke. He also spent time in the soft play area. We watch buses out of the window we saw Priory Adult Care EJ21 RNU. When we had finished we said goodbye and we returned to Fenton in a taxi. We set off onto Stanier Street. When we returned to Fenton in a Lucky Seven taxi. We set off along Stanier Street. We turned right onto John O' Gaunt's road and left onto Silverdale Road. We turned left onto the A525 and we ran past the dancing Octopus. We turned right onto the Southbound A34. We joined the Northbound A500 and we ran up to Sideway. We joined the Eastbound A50 and we ran down to Heron Cross. We cam off and went along the Link Road and up to City Road. We turned right into Smithpool Road. We turned left Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went up to his room to chill out and use his computer and watched music videos on the television. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

A few minutes later the bus appeared and it was First Potteries 67178 on a #11 to Newcastle. We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre along Church Street. After a brief stop in Stoke we continued along church Street and forwards onto Hartshill Road. We ran up the hill and into Hartshill. We ran forwards onto George Street and we ran down the hill into Newcastle. We turned left at the roundabout onto Barracks Road and into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew visited the toilet. Afterwards we waited for a bus to Trentham. A short time later we saw First Potteries 35949 on a #101 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Stafford before we went upstairs we sat down. We set off out of the bus station onto Barracks Road. We ran Southwards onto the A34 and we ran down through Trent Vale and into Hanford. We continued down through to Trentham and then we got onto the fast section of the A34. We ran through Tittensor to Darlaston past the Darlaston Inn which new KFC and a petrol station. We continued down the A34 to the North end of Stone. We Veered left onto Newcastle Road and we ran into Stone town centre. After going around the one-way system and onto Stafford Road. We crossed over the A34 near to the site of the new Lidl. We continued onto Eccleshall Road and we turned left onto Tilling Drive and we ran onto the industrial estate. We saw former Langston & Tasker minibus YN06 CYT. We rejoined the A34 at the roundabout where the A51 goes Eastwards and we ran Southwards through the fast section on the A34 to the A513 roundabout. We ran the last couple of miles into town down the A34 onto Foregate Street and we turned right onto Chell Road. We got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus. As we waited to cross the road we saw Chaserider 166 on a #841 to Uttoxeter.

We set off past the old Poundland and we stopped at the toilet block. Matthew used the toilet and afterwards we continued into the Guildhall market. We walked to the back corner to the cafe. Matthew and uncle Dave find a table and I ordered the food. Matthew had an English breakfast washed down with a can of Coke. When we had finished we set off out of the market onto Chapel Street. We went forwards onto Broad Street and we turned right onto Stafford Street. We turned left nonto Prince Street and left onto Hunters Row. We turned left onto Gaolgate Street and past the Market Square to the Guildhall shopping centre. We continued through the Market Square and forwards onto Greengate Street and we went in the Katharine House Hospice Shop. Once we had finished in the shop we walked back to the square and we ate the sausage roll and drank the Coke. Afterwards we cut through onto St Mary's Place and we turned left onto Earl Street and left onto Tenterbanks and we turned right onto Victoria Road. We turned left onto Station Road. We waited for a bus back to Newcastle. A short time later we saw Carolean Coaches BX15 OEE.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Station Road and at the end we turned left onto the A518. We ran around the South end of town and over the river onto Cope Street. We ran up Eastgate and along North Walls and into the Gaol Square bus station. We left the bus station onto the A34 and we ran Northwards to the edge of town. Due to roadworks on the A34 roundabout we turned left onto the M6 link road and at the first roundabout we did a 180' turned and rejoined the A34. We continued up the fast section of the A34 to the edge of Stone and then we turned left onto the industrial estate. We ran around the estate and onto Tiling Drive. We turned right onto Eccleshall Road and we crossed the A34 onto Stafford Road. We turned left onto Crown Street and we stopped at the main stop in Stone. We ran North up Newcastle Road and we re-joined the Northbound A34. We ran Morth through Meaford and Tittensor and up into Trentham. We continued North through Hanford and Trent Vale and we past the City General hospital before going into Newcastle. We turned right onto bus station where we got up and got off the bus. We walked out of the bus station and we waited for a bus back towards Fenton. Eventually the bus appeared and it was D&G Bus 112 on a #1 to Meir.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton and sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station onto Barracks Road. We ran Southwards onto the A34. We turned left into the hospital and we ran through the the grounds. As we travelled through the hospital we saw Roseville FD70 YDT. We turned left onto Hilton Road. We continued onto Albany Road and we turned right onto The Avenue. At the end of the road we turned right onto the A52 and we ran through Hartshill and down the hill into Stoke town centre. After a brief stop we continued along Church Street out of Stoke and over the A500. We ran under the railway line and we continued onto City Road. At the top of the hill we got up and got off the bus. We crossed over City Road and we cut through to the residential unit. We went upstairs and chilled out in his room to use his computer and watch buses. We went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto City Road. We stopped at the kebab shop and we brought burger and fries. When we brought the food we walked back down City Road and we turned left into Christchurch Street. We turned left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to his room to chill out and use the computer. For tea Matthew had Pizza followed a couple of slices of syrup sponge puddinge. Later on Matthew went downstairs. We set off onto Temple Streeet and onto Christchurch Street and into the Co-operative food store. Matthew brought a Milky Way before setting off back to the house. We went onto Christchurch Street and onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs and Matthew went back to his room to chill out. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Matthew got up around 10:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Just after 11:30 we set off on foot to the bus stop at the bottom of Beaconsfield Drive. A short time later the bus appeared. As it turned the corner we saw it was First Potteries 67154 on a #23 to Hanley.

We got on the bus booked to Stoke before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Beaconsfield Drive and we turned left onto Church Road. At the roundabout we veered left onto Blurton Road. We ran through Blurton and up the hill into Heron Cross. We crossed over the A50 and we went through the traffice lights onto Heron Street. We followed the road around onto Station Bridge Road and and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto City Road and we ran down the hill towards Stoke. We went under the railway line and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew got another picture of First Potteries 67154 as it continued towards Hanley.

We went down the steps and got onto the the Trent and Mersey canal. We headed Northwards around the back of the railway station and through Cliff Vale. We decided to come off the canal at the other end of Stoke to have a look at the minibuses parked up in the yard at Travel Express. Amongst the minibues we saw GN14 DVX.

We walked back to the canal and on the way we saw a teddy bear on a chair. We got back onto the canal and we came off the canal at Cockshute where we veered left onto the path that runs along side the railway line. We came out by the Railway Enterprise Centre and we crossed over the A500 slip road onto Garner Street. We continued up to Emerys Builders Merchants and we cut into the yard to Bailey's Food Truck. Matthew had a cumberland sausage ring, bacon and egg on a bap washed down with a can of Coke. When we finished eating our food we said godbye to the Bazzers and we walked along Garner Street. We walked up the ramp onto Shelton New Road and we crossed over to catch a bus towards Newcastle. We got to the bus stop by the flyover and almost Immediately we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 35935 on a #101 to Stafford.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before we went upstairs and sat down. We set off along Shelton New Road and we ran up the hill into Hartshill. At the roundabout we ran forwards onto George Street and into Newcastle. We continued along the A52 past the baths and we turned left onto Barracks Road. We entered the bus station and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus saw D&G Bus 151 on a #9 to Biddulph.

we went up Castle Walk and we visited Costa Coffee. Matthew went to the toilet and picked out what he wantd to eat and drink before sitting down. Matthew had a millionaires shortbread and a bottle of Coke. When we had finished we headed back to the bus station. We saw First Potteries 63357 on a #11 to Hanley. We saw our bus on stand and we saw it was First Potteries 63364 on a #22 to Longton.

We got on the bus and we booked to Longton before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station onto Barracks Road and we ran Southwards onto the A34. We turned left into the hospital and we ran through the the grounds. We turned right onto Hilton Road and forwards onto Harpfields Road. We ran to the end and we turned left onto the Southbound A34. We ran under the A500 into Hanford and we turned left onto Church Lane. We climbed to the top of the hill and we turned right onto Wilson Road. We turned left onto New Inn Lane and we ran into Trentham. We turned left onto the A5035 and we crossed over the railway line into Blurton. We passed the end of Stanley Matthew Way and we turned left onto Magdalen Road. We turned right onto Finstock Avenue and left onto Beaconsfield Drive where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we walked back to the house. Matthew had a can of Cherry Coke and we wrote the Blog and edited photos. Around 16:00 Matthew set off back to the residential unit by car. We set off through Blurton onto Finstock Avenue and we turned left onto Beaconsfield Drive. We turned left onto Church Road and left again onto Blurton Road. We went through the traffic lights onto Heron Street. We carried on forwards onto Station Bridge Road we turned left onto Christchurch Street and we turned left onto Masterson Street and we saw Stafford & District Community Link DK05 ERV. We turned right onto Watkin Street and we continued onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs to his room and we put all his shopping in his cupboard or in the kitchen. Matthew had a can of Cherry Coke. Matthew chilled out on his computer and watched buses out of the window. Later on we saw Lucky Seven KX19 NBE heading towards Longton. For tea Matthew had chicken & rice and washed it down with a glass of lemonade. Matthew then went out to catch a bus to Hanley. We went downstairs and it was an Intercity taxi. We got in the taxi and we set off onto Temple Street. We turned left onto Christchurch Street and we crossed over City Road onto Manor street. At the end of manor street awe turned left onto Victoria Road. We ran down to joiners Square and we crossed over the roundabout onto Lichfield Street. We crossed over the ring road and we parked up in the small car park in front of the pub. We went into the Coachmakers Arms. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards had 1/2 a Coke. After we had finished we returned to Fenton in a taxi. We got in the taxi and we set off onto Lichfield Street. We crossed over the ring Road and we ran down to Joiners Square. We crossed the roundabout onto Victoria Road and we ran up the hill into Fenton. At the roundabout we turned sharp right onto City Road and left onto Smithpool Road. We turned left onto Temple Street and we went to his room and chilled out. We went upstairs and Matthew went to his room. He watched television and used his computer. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

We went downstairs and we set off to towards the bus stop to catch a bus. We walked onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street and we waited for a bus to Hanley. A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 67154 on a #23 to Newstead.

We waited for a bus towards Hanley. After a short wait we saw blue minibus SF20 HHL. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67153 on a #23 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Christchurch Street. We turned left onto City Road. and we joined the A52 to go under the railway line and over the A500. We continued onto Church Street and into the centre of Stoke. After a brief stop we continued around the one-way system onto Elenora Steet and right onto Copeland street. We turned left onto Glebe Street and we went under the railway line before turning left onto Station Road. After stopping briefly outside the railway station we turned right onto College Road and We turned left onto Avenue Road and we turned right onto Snow Hill. We turned left and ran up Broad Street. We turned right onto the ring road and left onto Bethesda Street. We turned right onto John Street and we ran up to the bus station. Once in the bus station we got up and got off the bus. Once of the bus Matthew went to the toilet. Afterwards we went across Lichfield Street and visited Venus Fish Bar. Matthew had sausage chips and gravy washed down with a can of Coke. After eating dinner we set off back towards the bus station. Matthew went to the toilet. We waited for a bus back to Fenton. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 35941 on a #25 to Keele.

We got on the bus and we booked to Stoke. We went upstairs and we sat down. We set off out of bus station and onto John Street. We turned right onto Bethesda Street and left onto Broad Street. We ran down the hill and over the ring road onto Snow Hill Before we turned left onto Avenue Road. At the roundabout we turned right onto College Road. We ran down though Shelton along College Road. We turned left onto Station Road and we past the railway station. We ran forwards onto the A52 and we ran alongside the railway line before turning right onto City Road. We crossed over the A500 and we ran into Stoke centre along Church Street. We went out of the other side of Stoke and up Hartshill Road into Hartshill. We turned left into The Avenue and we ran down to Hilton Road and we turned right into the hospital where we ran through the hospital and we turned right onto the A34. We ran up to Newcastle and forwards onto Barracks Road at the roundabout. We entered the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. We set off on foot up Castle Walk and we visited Home Bargains. We walked up Castle Walk and we turned right into Ironmarket past the old RBS bank which has now The Bank Space. We turned left onto High Street and . We turned left onto barracks Road and we veered left onto Stubbs Street and into the bus station. A few minutes later the bus appeared and it was First Potteries 47520 on a #11 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off onto Barracks Road and we ran up to the Jubilee roundabout. We ran onto the A53 and around the one-way system onto the A52. We ran up George Street into Hartshill and we ran down the hill into Stoke town centre. After a brief stop we continued along Church Street out of Stoke and over the A500. We ran under the railway line and we continued onto City Road. At the top of the hill we got up and got off the bus. We crossed over city Road and walked back to the residential unit. Matthew went back upstairs to chill out in his room and use his computer and watch buses out of the window. Matthew went out again on the bus. We went downstairs and we walked onto City Road and we saw Afford rent-a-car BG72 UEX outside there yard.

A short time later we saw the bus approaching. It was D&G Bus 151 on a #1A to Audley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre. We continued along Church Street onto Hartshill Road and into the centre of Hartshill. We turned left into the Avenue and left again onto Hilton Road before turning right into the City General Hospital. As we travelled through the hospital we saw Travel Express BG61 KTK and ABC Supreme HV22 HKK. Once through the hospital we turned right onto the A34 and we ran into Newcastle. We crossed the roundabout and we ran up Barracks Road and into the bus station from the South end. Once we got to the bus station we got up and got off the bus. A short time later we saw D&G Bus 39 on a #1A to Meir.

Today we ended up going to Derby. We had planned to go to Widnes, but this did not work out. I had done no reserch for the trip other than to check the weather, Which was for light rain, getting progressively worse towards teatime. Matthew got up around 10:00 and had toast for breakfast. Mum got home just before 11:00 and we got ready and set lff just before 12:00. Matthew got in the car and mum gave hima small chocolate cake. We set off through Blurton and onto Beaconsfield Drive. We turned left onto Church Road and at the roundabout we veered left onto Blurton Road. We continued through Blurton and into Heron Cross and over the A50. At Heron Cross lights we turned left onto Grove Road. We ran forwards onto Wheildon Road and we picked up uncle Dave. After picking up uncle Dave we continued down Wheildon Road. We were struggling to get onto the Northbound A500. Dave said that there had been an accident and that the M6 was slow from junction 18 all the way back to junction 15. We decided to go in another direction. We suggested to Matthew that we go to Derby and he said yes. We turned rihght onto City Road and we joined the Southbound A500. At sideway we joined the Eastbound A50. We continued Eastwards and we ran through Meir. We reached the Blythe Bridge by-pass and we continued along the A50 Eastwards. As we travlled Eastwards we saw Spacebus WSU 812, Ambulance coach J100 STB, Sharpes 7 JXO and another unidentified Sharpes coach. We headed up the hill over the river Dove. We had already decided that we were going to have diner at The Saltbox Cafe, so we came off the A50 and joined the Eastbound A511. We continued the 2 miles or so to junction before we stopped at the cafe. Once at the cafe Matthew used the toilet. For dinner Matthew had a breakfast and washed down with a bottle of Cherry Coke. Whilst we ate we saw Rotala Diamond 31418 on a #401 to Uttoxeter and Trent Barton 704, 715 and 740 on a Villager services. Once we had finished we turned right onto Derby Road and we ran through Halton and under the A50 before joining the Northbound A516. We joined the A38 briefly before veering left and following the A516 into the town centre. We joined the A601 and we ran clockwisw around the town before turning right onto The Cock Pitt. The car park that we usually use was closed, so we ran through the bus station and we turned right onto Morledge. We pulled up in a loading space and we said goodbye to mum. We walked back along Morledge towards the bus station. On the way we saw Hawkes Coaches YJ51 RCU on a Pride Park Shuttle.

We went into the bus station which is currently partially closed to support the work being done in Morledge. We stood at the end of the bus station and we took a few pictures. We saw Arriva Midlands 3566 on a #20 to Chaddesden.

Behind us on Morledge we saw Glovers AIG 8385 go past on it's way to Pride Park. We walked through the bus station to the other end and we took a few more pictures. We came back through the bus station and Matthew stopped at the Skylink stand. As we arrived we saw a bus come on stand. We saw it was Kinchbus 157 on a Skylink service to Leicester.

We got on the bus and we booked a ZigZag Duo Plus ticket at £16.50 before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station and onto Morledge. We crossed over the ring road onto Siddals Road. At the end we turned right onto Station Terrace. We stopped at the bus terminal outside the railway station and we turned right onto Midland Road. At the end we turned left onto London Road and we ran South on into Alvaston. We turned right into Shardlow Road. We crossed the Thulston Roundabout onto the B5010. We ran into Thulston and we turned into Shardlow where we saw Kinchbus 151 on a Skylink service to Derby. We travelled through Cavendish Bridge. At the roundabout we turned right into Sawley Jct and we turned into Trent Lane. We turned into Castle Donington and we turned left onto Station Road where we saw Kinchbus 153 on a Skylink service to Derby. We joined into High Street we entered bus Station and into High Street and into Hill Top where we saw Kinchbus 156 on a Skylink service to Derby. We turned left onto the A453 and we went around East Midlands railway station where we saw Kinchbus 152 on a Skylink service to Derby. We turned right into Ambassador Road and we turned right into Viscount Road and we entered the Coach Park where we saw Rotala Diamond East Midlands 30996 on a #9 to Burton. We turned left into Beverley Road and Hunter Road. We turned left onto the A453 and we entered EM Gateway Interchange. We continued into into Kegworth and after a brief stop in Kegworth town centre along Kegworth Bypass. We ran up the hill and into Hathern and we ran down the hill into Loughborough and we joined Derby Road and at the top of the Road we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew got a picture of Kinchbus 157 before it continued to Leicester.

We walked to the traffic lights to cross over the road. As we approached the lights we saw Confidence 15 turned the corner onto the Southbound A6 which doing a shuttle in relation to the bus rally at Quorn.

We crossed over the A6 and we walked Northwards around the town. By the bus stop we walked up the steps and we visited Tesco. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards we got a meal deal which included a scotch egg and a bottle of Coke. We paid for the food and drink and we headed back to the bus stop to wait for another bus. A short time later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was Kinchbus 832 on a #12 to Thorpe Acre.

We got on the bus and we placed the ZigZag Duo Plus ticket under the scanner before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off up the A6 and we veered left to follow the road. We crossed the canal and turned right to follow the A6. We ran North Westwards for around a mile and we turned left onto Warwick Way. We turned right onto Barsby Drive and we ran forwards onto Braddon Road. We turned right onto Warwick Way and at the roundabout Maxwell Drive where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew took another pictore of Kinchbus 832 at it continued back towards Loughborough.

Once off the bus we went to look for a stop to catch the #11 back to town. I had looked at this area on a Kinchbus newtwwork map and I was under the impression that there was a stop for the #11 areound the corner to the left. I did not appreciate the scale of the map. We set off along Maxwell Drive past Morrisons and The Maxwells pub before crossing over the Black Brook. As we approached the roundabout we saw preserved Crosville TFM 267K presumably linked to the bus rally at Quorn. We turned left onto Warwick Way and we turned left onto Braddon Road. When we got to the bus stop we had less than 5 minutes to wait. A short time later we saw the bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was Kinchbus 832 on a #11 service.

We walked through the bus station and e turned left onto Morledge. We walked to where we were dropped off and we waited for mum to appear. When she turned up we got in the car and Matthew had a can of Irn Bru. We set off along Morledge and we did a u-turn at the roundabout. We turned left onto the ring road and we ran anti-clockwise around town. We turned right onto the A516 and we ran out of town. We ran forwards onto the B5020. We crossed over the A38 and we ran into Mickleover. We stopped in the car park near to the chippy and I went to get food. Matthew had sausage chips and gravy. When I had finished eating we re-joined the B5020 and we headed onto the Westbound A516. We ran to the North of Burnaston and Etwall and we joined the Eastbound A50. On the A50. We continued past Blythe Bridge bypass and through Meir. We came off the A50 at Heron Cross. We turned right onto Blurton Road and left onto Grove Road. We continued onto Whieldon Road and we dropped off uncle Dave. Matthew went in as he was desperate for the toilet. Matthew also helped uncle Rob finish off some Irn Bru. He also updated uncle Dave's calendar with the details of today's trip. We said goodbye to uncle Dave and we set off back to Blurton. We set off onto Wheildon Road and past the former Regent pub which is now being set up as an Indian Restaurant. We ran forwards onto Grove Road and we saw green minibus R482 NDM parked up. We turned right onto Blurton Road and we crossed over the A50. We continued through Blurton and we turned right onto Church Street. We turned right onto the A5035 and back to Blurton around 20:00. Matthew chilled out on his computer and we did some of the Blog. We also wrote a few emails and generally used the computer to entertain ourselves. We watched TV and Matthew got ready for bed. Matthew settled down around 00:00... Mark
