Today Matthew was going back to the residential unit, but firt he was going out for dinner and going to do his weekly shop. Matthew woke up at 08:00 and had his medication. Matthew got up around 10:30 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. We got ready to go out and we set off just after 12:00. We got in the car and we set off through Blurton onto the A5035. We ran to Trentham and we turned right onto the A34. We ran through Hanford and we crossed the A500 and we continued through Trent Vale and we saw First Potteries 63363 on a #101 to Stafford. We continued along the A34 into Newcastle and we turned right onto Barracks Road and we ran around one-way system and onto the A52. As we turned the coner we saw Leon's Coaches 248 heading inti Newcastle. We ran up to Hartshill and we ran forwards onto Shelton New Road. As we travelled along Shelton New Road and we passed KE Travel BD65 JFE. We turned right onto Garner Street and we stopped at the food truck. Our old friend Baz was at the food truck today! Matthew had a cumberland ring with bacon and egg washed down with can of Coke. When we had finished Matthew had a hug off Baz and we set of to the shop. We ran along Garner Street to Etruria and we turned left onto the A53. We veered left onto Forge Lane and we ran forwards onto Shelton Boulevard and we turned left onto the Etruria Valley Link Road passing First Potteries 35941 on a #501 Etruria Valley circular. We went under the A500 and we turned left onto the retail park and we saw blue minibus SD72 WBN.

We did Matthew's weekly shopping and before we went back to the car we saw grey minibus LY25 BSO parked up.

We did Matthew's weekly shopping and before we went back to the car and we saw First Potteries 67181 on a #501 circular service. We set off through the retail park and we turned left onto the A527 and we ran to the top of the hill and we turned left to follow the A527 into Newcastle. We turned right onto Ryecroft and we pulled up. We dropped off our friend. We set off onto Ryecroft and we turned right onto Barracks Road. We passed the bus station and we saw D&G Bus 57 on a #85 to Nantwich. We turned keft onto the Southbound A34 we ran down to Trent Vale and under the A500 into Hanford. We ran into Trentham and at the roundabout we turned left onto the A5035. We ran into Blurton and we got back to home just after 14:30. When we got back we did the Blog and Matthew had a piece of cake and a glass of orange. Around 16:00 we got ready to return to the residential unit. We set off through Burton and we ran along Beaconsfield Drive where we saw gold minibus DE04 FNZ parked up. We turned left onto Church Street and left onto Blurton Road. We went through the traffic lights onto Heron Steeet. We carried on forwards onto Station Bridge Road and we turned left onto Christchurch Street and we turned left onto Masterson Street and we saw Stafford & District Community Link LA72 DDU. We turned right onto Watkin Street and we continued onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs to his room and we put all his shopping in his cupboard or in the kitchen. Matthew chilled out on his computer and watched buses out of the window. For tea Matthew had chicken and rice with naan bread followed by a Toffee sponge pudding and custard. Washed it down with a can of Irn Bru. Later on we went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street. We turned left onto Smithpool Road. We crossed over the railway line and we walked down to the entrance of the park. Once we had finished in the park we walked back along Grove Road. We crossed over the Whieldon Road and we saw it was Travel Express YJ69 EHG. We got on the bus and we set off onto Whieldon Road and we turned left onto Smithpool Road. We turned right onto City Road and we ran up onto King Street and we went forwards onto King Street. We ran through Foley and we under the railway line into Longton. The bus stopped on Market Street and we turned left onto Anchor Road. We turned right onto Sutherland Road and we stopped at the pub. Matthew had a glass of Coke. When we had finished we returned to Fenton in Travel Express YJ69 EHG. We set off onto along Sutherland Road and left onto Anchor Road. We turned right onto Market Street and left onto The Strand and we ran under the railway line onto King Street. We ran through Foley into Fenton and forwards onto City Road and left onto Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs and Matthew chilled out in his room. He watched television and used his computer. Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today we decided to revisit Crewe. We asked Matthew on the Friday where he would like to go and he chose Crewe. Research consisted of just checking the weather which was for a cold, mainly cloudy with some sunshine. Matthew woke up at 08:00 and had his medication. Matthew got up around 10:30 and had toast and an appl and raspberry juice drink for breakfast. After getting ready we set off around 12:00. We got in the car and we ran through Blurton along Beaconsfield Drive. We turned left onto Church Road and at the roundabout we veered left onto Blurton Road. We ran through Blurton and into Heron Cross and over the A50. At Heron Cross lights we turned left onto Grove Road. We ran forwards onto Wheildon Road and we picked up uncle Dave. Once we had picked up uncle Dave, we continued down Wheildon Road and we joined the Northbound A500. We continued Northwards up the A500 through Etruria and Longport and we passed Tyrer's TYR 10R going the other way. We went under the M6 and we continued along the A500. We crosed over the West coact main line before we turned right onto the B5071. We stopped at the YMCA asnd went into the cafe. Matthew had a full English Breakfast washed down with a can of Coke. Afterwards Matthew went to the toilet. We got in the car and we continued up the B5071. We carried on over the A534 onto Mill Street and we ran around the outside of Crewe on Vernon Way. We turned left onto West Street and we parked up by the shops. We said goodbye to mum and we walked through the shopping centre past the mini golf course onto Victoria Street. We entered the bus station and we had a look around at what we might catch. we saw white D&G Bus 5021 on a #85 to Newcastle.

We decided to catch something Northbound out of Crewe. We waited for about 30 minutes and we saw a bus come on stand. As it got closer we saw it was D&G Bus 31 on a #37 to Northwich.

We got on the bus and we booked a D&G Network Day ticket for £6.90 before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off out of the bus station and we turned left onto Delamere Street. We followed the road around to the right onto Chester Bridge and we crossed the railway line and onto Edleston Road. At the end of the long straight road we turned left onto the A534 and we ran past the railway station ans past B&Q. We traveled Eastwards along Crewe Road. We went through Haslington and Winterley and further North through Wheelock Heath. We crossed the A534 and we ran through Wheelock. We ran over the canal and into Sandbach town center past Sandbach School. When we got to the Commons and we ran onto the other side of the triangle where we got up and got off the bus. Matthew took another picture of D&G Bus 31 before it continued towards Northwich.

We got off the bus and we headed into the market hall. We bought some spearmit chews, a Twirl and a can of pop for later. We came out of the market and we headed to the toilet. The toilet was occupied so we headed into a nearby pub and Matthew used the toilet there. Afterwards Matthew had a glass of Coke. After we finished the drink we headed outside. We just missed a #38 to Crewe. We had about 30 minutes to wait for the next Crewe service. We realised there was a #38 to Macclesfield so we crossed over the common. We looked on the bus map and we saw the bus was still in Crewe running over 30 minutes late! We crossed back over the common and we waited for the Crewe bus. A short time later we saw a bus come around the common. Asit got closer we saw it was D&G 57 on a #37 to Crewe.

We got on the bus and placed the D&G Network Day ticket under the scanner before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off along the common and we went Westwards out of the town onto Crewe Road and through Wheelock. We crossed the A534 and we ran through Wheelock Heath and Winterly, passed the pond. We continued into Haslington and turned left onto Crewe Road and we re-joined the B5077 towards Crewe Green. We crossed over the roundabout onto the Westbound A534 and we ran towards Crewe railway station. We past the railway station. We continued for around 1/2 mile before turning right into Edlestone Road. We ran into town crossing over the railway line and forwards onto Chester Bridge. We followed the road around onto Delamere Street and we turned right into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. As we got into the bus station we saw a Stagecoach double decker. As we got closer we saw it was Stagecoach Merseyside 15584 on a #84 to Chester. We got on the bus and we booked to Nantwich. We went upstairs and sat down just in front of the centre stairway. The bus set off out of the bus station on onto Delamere Street. As the tiop deck was empty Matthew took a picture inside of Stagecoach Merseyside 15584.

The bus turned into Edleston Road and then right onto Nantwich Road. The bus carried on along the A534 until we reached the turn for the village of Willaston. We carried on into Willaston and then turned right onto Coppice Road and we turned left and onto the A534 and we crossed over the Nantwich by-pass and we headed into town. When we got to the bus station we got up andgot off the bus and Matthew took a picture of Stagecoach Merseyside 15584 before it continued towards Chester.

We sat in the bus station and Matthew seemed to want to catch the D&G bus that was opposite to us which was on layover. We worked out that it wasn't going to depart for a while so we decided to go to the pub. Before we went to the pub we saw D&G Bus 55 on layover in between runs on the #85 to Newcastle.

We crossed over the road and headed into the pub. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards he had a small glass of Coke. We headed back to the bus station and whilst we waited we saw Mikro Coaches YJ16 DYY on a #39 to Crewe.

A few minutes later the bus pulled onto the stand. We saw it was D&G Bus 34 on a #53 to Leighton Hospital as expected.

We got on the bus and we placed the D&G Network Day ticket under the scanner. The bus was empty, so Matthew took a picture inside D&G Bus 34 before we sat down.

At departure time the bus set off out of the bus station and we saw D&G Bus 35 on a #52 to Audlem. We turned right onto the B5078 and past the site of redevelopment. We turned right onto Birchin Lane and we turned left onto the B5338. We crossed the roundabout ran forwards onto the A534. We turned left onto Church Lane and we headed Northwards. We turned left onto Wistatston Green Road and we ran turned the end. We turned right onto the A530 and we headed past the back of the Bentley factory before we turned left towards the hospital. We passed a new housing development and we entered the hospital area where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew took another picture of D&G Bus 34 before it did a #53 to Buerton.

Whilst we waited there were a couple of service going away from crewe. We saw D&G Bus 5001 on a #42 to Congleton. We sat at the bus stop and Matthew shared his Twirl with us. We saw D&G Bus 31 on a #31 to Northwich. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it closer we saw it was D&G Bus 575 on a #31 to Crewe.

We got on the bus and we placed the D&G Network Day ticket under the scanner before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the hospital and we turned left onto Bob Brown Way. We turned right onto the B5076 and we headed Southwards. We crossed over the West Coast Main Line and we turned right onto Broad Street and we crossed back over the railway line. We crossed over the A532 and we ran forwards onto Hightown. We turned left onto Victoria Street and we entered the bus station from the North end and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew took another picture of D&G Bus 575.

We messaged mum and we arranged to meet her in Asda car park. Matthew used the toilet in the bus station. We walked over to Asda and we waited in the car park. A few minutes later mum appeared and we got in the car. Matthew had a can of Coke that he bought earlier. We decided to go back home as we were close to home and get chips on the way. We set off onto Victoria Street and we ran forwards onto Flag Lane. We turned left onto Wistatston Road and we ran forwards onto the A5078 past a new building on the left. We turned right onto the A5019 and left onto the A534 past the railway station passing coach. We headed Southwards down the A532 and we turned right onto David Whitby Way. At the end we joined the Southbound A500. We ran towards Barthomley and under the M6 and we continued along the A500. As we travelled Southwards we passed 3 Caledonia Travel coaches coming the other way. We travelled through Etruria and Stoke and as we got to Sideway we joined the Eastbound A50. We came off the A50 and Heron Cross and we turned right onto Blurton Road. WE stopped at the chip shop and Matthew had 2 small sausages chips and gravy and a can of Dandelion & Burdock. We drover along Blurton Road and we turned right onto Church Road. We turned right onto the A5035 and we got back around 19:00. We went into the house and Matthew ate his sausages chips and gravy. We did some Blog and sorted out an e-mail. Matthew had his medication and afterwards I took uncle Dave home. We continued with the Blog and Matthew had a cup of Cherry Coke. Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to stay fairly local. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the day centre, we saw D&G Bus 116. He also watched buses out of the window. We saw Temple Street Church RX18 GZW. We went downstairs and and we set off on foot to the bus stop. We walked onto Temple Street and right onto Christchurch Street. We continued up City Road and we saw Afford rent-a-car YM70 VWY outside there yard.

We carried on down the road and we waited for a bus towards Newcastle. A few minutes later the bus appeared and it was First Potteries 67142 on a #11 to Newcastle. We got on the bus and we booked a Network Day ticket at £5.50. We sat down towards to rear of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre along Church Street. After a brief stop in Stoke we continued along church Street and forwards onto Hartshill Road. We ran up the hill and into Hartshill. We ran forwards onto George Street and we ran down the hill into Newcastle. We turned left at the roundabout onto Barracks Road and into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew got a picture of First Potteries 67142 before it returned towards Hanley on a #11 service.

We set off onto Hassell Street and we turned right onto High Street. We visited Fashion zone. We continued along High Street and we past old Edinburgh Woollen Mill which moved to the new food outlets. We turned left into Ironmarket. We stopped at Caffe Java Ltd. Matthew had tea Matthew had english breakfast washed down with a cup of Coke. Once we had finished eating we set off onto Ironmarket. We turned right onto Castle Walk. We stopped at Greggs and brought a triple chocolate cookie. We continued onwards to the bus station. We walked out of the bus station Matthew went to the toilet. Afterwards we waited for a bus to Hanley. A few minutes later we saw D&G Bus 781 on a #9 to Biddulph.

We got on the bus and we flashed the Network Day ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off through the bus station and onto Barracks Road and we ran forwards onto the one-way system. We continued onto the A52 and when we got to Hartshill we veered left onto Shelton New Road. We ran over the railway line and canal and we went up to Snow Hill. We turned left and ran up Broad Street. We turned right onto the ring road and left onto Bethesda Street. We turned right onto John Street and we ran up to the bus station. Once in the bus station we got up and got off the bus. We waited for a bus to Fenton. A few minutes later the bus appeared and it was First Potteries 35945 on a #25 to Keele.

The bus went out of the bus station and onto the ring road. We turned left into Lichfield Street and onto Birch Terrace and past the old bus station. We turned right onto old Hall Street and then we crossed the ring road onto Limekiln Bank. At the bottom of the hill we went across the traffic lights onto the A52. We got up and got off. Once off the bus we walked up onto Finney Green and we turned right onto the A52. We turned left onto Dividy Road. On the way to the bus stop we saw First Potteries 67156 on a #11 to Newcastle. A short tme later the bus appeared and it was First Potteries 47519 on a #11B to Hanley. We got on the bus and we flashed the Network Day ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Dividy Road and we turned left onto the A52 and we ran to limekiln lights and we went across onto Bucknall New Road. We climbed the hill up to Hanley and we joined the clockwise ring road. We turned right onto Bethesda Road and we turned right onto John Street and we saw D&G Bus 27 on a #9 to Westbury Park. Once in the bus station we got up and got off the bus. We waited for a bus to Crewe and a short time later we saw First Potteries 37159 on a #101 to Stafford. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 63146 on a #3 to Crewe. We got on the bus and we flashed the Network Day ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station and onto John Street. We turned right onto Bethesda Street and we went straight across onto Marsh Street. We turned right up onto Trinity Street and we went past the former RBS now a new shop. We turned left onto Stafford Street. After picking up more passenger outside of Debenhams we followed the road around to the left and then back onto marsh Street. At the roundabout we went straight on onto Waterloo Road and we ran up the hill into Cobridge. We continued into Burslem and through the traffic lights onto Scotia Road. We went past the old Burslem PMT garage and we followed the road around to the left onto Williamson Street. At the corner we turned right onto Tunstall High Street and we continued North onto the A50. We ran through Goldenhill and down the bank into Kidsgrove. We ran under the railway line into Cheshire and we crossed over the A34. We continued into Church Lawton and then into Alsager. We continued Westwards along the B5077 under the M6 and into Radway Green. We followed the road to the right up Slaughter hill and we continued straight up into Haslington. We turned left onto Crewe Road and we re-joined the B5077 towards Crewe Green. We crossed over the roundabout onto the Westbound A534 and we ran towards Crewe railway station. We got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we headed along the A534. We continued for around 1/2 mile before turning right into Edlestone Road. We ran into town crossing over the railway line and forwards onto Chester Bridge. We followed the road around onto Delamere Street and we turned right into the temporary bus station and we saw Stagecoach Merseyside 19143 on a #84 to Chester. A few minutes later we saw the bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was D&G Bus 532 on a #31 to Northwich. We got on the bus and we brought a day ticket before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station onto Delamere Street and we turned onto Gatefield Street and left onto Victoria Street and Hightown we turned North onto Underwood Lane. We turned left onto the B5076 and then we turned Northwards again onto Mablins Lane. We turned left onto Parkers Road before rejoining the B5076. We crossed a roundabout and then we took the next left into Leighton Hospital grounds. At the hospital there was a small bus station. We left the bus station area and we crossed the A530 at Bradfield Green before we continues up to Church Minshull crossing the Shropshire Union canal and the river Weaver. We continued North through the centre of Cheshire, Darnhall. We came into town along Beeston drive and we stopped opposite the shopping centre outside Witherspoons where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we set off around the corner and into the pub. Matthew visited the toilet and afterwards he had a glass of Coke. When we had finished we went outside and met up with uncle Dave. We walked down Dene Drive and we turned right onto the A54. There were a few buses parked up there. On bus pulled off before we got there but the other we saw D&G Bus 99 on a #31 to Northwich. Across the road. So we crossed under the road in the subway and we came out and we saw dud D&G Bus 156 on a #31 to Crewe. We decided to do the bus anyway so we got on and we flashed the We got on the bus and we brought a day ticket before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off the A54 before turning left into the housing estate and heading back South through Darnhall. Somewhere between Darnall and Church Minshull. We passed through Church Minshull and just before we crossed the A530. At the hospital there was a small bus station and we the B5076 and Underwood Lane and West Street. We turned onto Hightown and forwards onto Victoria Street. We continued into the bus station. when we got back into the bus station we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus and we saw a few buses parked up on layover. Opposite was Stagecoach Merseyside 15585 parked up. A short time later we saw the bus arrived in the bus station. On closer inspection we saw it was D&G Bus 55 on a #38 to Macclesfield. We got on the bus and we booked Arriva Arriva Day Saver before The bus set off out of the bus station and we turned left onto Delamere Street. We followed the road around to the right onto Chester Bridge and we crossed the railway line and onto Edleston Road. At the end of the long straight road we turned left onto the A534 and we ran past the railway station ans past B&Q. We traveled Eastwards along Crewe Road. We went through Haslington and Winterley and further North through Wheelock Heath. We crossed the A534 and we ran through Wheelock. We ran over the canal and into Sandbach town center past Sandbach School. When we got to the Common onto Congleton Road. We joined the A534 and past the site of the new development by the M6. We continued along the A534 and we crossed over the M6 and into Arclid. We carried on through Medhurst Green and we crossed over the Wall Hill roundabouts. On the edge of Congleton we joined the A34 and we ran East along the road for a short while before going onto West Street. We entered town along Antrobus Street, Mill Street and Mountbatten Way. We turned right into Market Street, past the Bear Grills cafe and into the bus station. We got off the bus. We walked up to the top end of the bus station and Matthew visited the toilet. Afterwards we continued up Market Street and we turned right on to Bridge Street. We saw the former B&M. We walked along Bridge Street and we turned right onto Mill Street. We turned left onto the A54 and we turned left onto the A34. We turned right onto Barn Road and we ran forwards onto Viking Way past the site of the new homes, supermarket, local centre, offices, and light industrial development. We walked back up Viking Way and forwards onto Barn Road. We turned left onto the A34 and we turned right onto the A54. We turned right into Market Street and into the bus station. We sat in one of the bus stops and Matthew ate a couple of fun sized Milky Way bars. A short time later we saw the bus approaching. As expected it was D&G Bus 57 on a #38 to Crewe. We got on the bus and we brought a day ticket before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off out of the bus station and onto market Street and we ran down the hill onto Mountbatten Way. We turned left onto Mill Street and we climbed the hill, turning right onto West Street. At the roundabout we went straight onto the A34 and at the following junction we went straight ahead onto the A534. We went out of town through West Heath and then out into open countryside. We crossed the A50 at the Arclid crossroads. On the west side of the M6 we left the A534 and turned right onto Congleton Road and we ran into Sandbach Common. After a brief stop we continued on our journey. After a brief stop we went Westwards out of the town onto Crewe Road and through Wheelock. We crossed the A534 and we ran through Wheelock Heath and Winterly, passed the pond. We continued into Haslington and turned left onto Crewe Road and we re-joined the B5077 towards Crewe Green. We crossed over the roundabout onto the Westbound A534 and we ran towards Crewe railway station. We past the railway station and we continued for around 1/2 mile before turning right into Edlestone Road. We ran into town crossing over the railway line and forwards onto Chester Bridge. We followed the road around onto Delamere Street and we turned right into Gatefield Street. We turned right onto Victoria Street and we turned right onto the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. A few minutes later mum appeared in the car, we got in the car and there a bottle of Irn Bru waiting for Matthew. We set off along Lawrence Street and we turned right into Delamere Street and right onto Flag Lane. We turned left onto Hightown and we turned left onto West Street. We parked up in the car park and I went to the Golden Fish & Chip Shop. Matthew had sausage chips and gravy. We at the food in th car and after we had finished we re-joined West Street. We turned onto Hightown and forwards onto Flag Lane. We turned onto Edleston Road we saw an unidentified Burland Coach heading into town. We turned right onto Edleston Road and at the end we turned left onto the A534. We passed the railway station and we turned right onto the A532 past the Brocklebank pub. At the next roundabout we turned right onto David Whitby Way and across the roundabout and at the end we turned left onto the A500. We ran through Talke and we saw Global Travel RU 5621 parked up in a layby with the engine cover open. We continued through Longport, Etruria and Stoke. We came off the A500 at Stoke and we veered off onto Whieldon Road and into Fenton. We dropped off uncle Dave and Matthew got out of the car to use the toilet, drink some of uncle Rob's Irn Bru and update his calendar. We got back in the car and we conrinued along Wheildon Road past the former Regent which is back up for sale. We turned onto Smithpool Road. We turned right onto Temple Street past the Queen Elizabeth II Court. We continued back to the residential unit. Matthew went back to the room and went on his computer. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was heading to Blurton for the weekend, He was also going out on the bus. Matthew got up around 09:00 and had toast and juice for breakfast. He chilled out in his room and watched buses out of the windown until it was time to go out. Whilst we waited to go out we saw First Potteries 69155 on a #11 to Hanley. When it was time to go out we went downstairs and onto Temple Street. We turned left onto Christchurch Street. We waited for the bus to Hanley. A short time later we saw First Potteries 67154 on a #23 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Christchurch Street. We turned left onto City Road. and we joined the A52 to go under the railway line and over the A500. We continued onto Church Street and into the centre of Stoke. After a brief stop we continued around the one-way system onto Elenora Steet and right onto Copeland street. We turned left onto Glebe Street and we went under the railway line before turning left onto Station Road. We went past the railway station and and turned right onto College Road. After running the hill through Shelton we continued onto Cleveland Road and forwards onto Regent Road. We turned left onto Lower Bethesda Street and we crossed over the ring road onto Bethesda Street before we turned right onto John Street where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we saw D&G Bus 24 on a #64 to Market Drayton. We waited for a bus towards Festival Park. A short tiime later First Potteries 63111 on a #4 to Audley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Festival Park before we sat down. The bus set off onto John Street and we ran down the hill before we turned right onto Bethesda Street. We crossed over Broad Street and we continued onto Marsh Street. At the lights we turned left onto Etruria Road past former Sainsbury's supermarket. Just before we got to the A53 we got up and got off the bus. We crossed under the A53 and we headed over to Festival Park to the bowling alley. We played a few games of bowling and afterwards we went to McDonald for Dinner. We set off along Marina Way and we we crossed over the road onto Ridgehouse Drive. Once we reached McDonalds Matthew had a cheeseburger and fries washed down with a cup of Coke. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards we got in a a car and we set off along Ridgehouse Drive. We turned right onto Pavillion Drive and we headed up the hill towards the A53. We joined the Eastbound A53 and we turned right onto Edgeware Street. We continued onto Windermere Street and followed the road around onto Mulgrave Street. We joined the Westbound A53 and past the site of the new Lidl and we headed down towards Etruria. We turned left onto Etruria Road and we turned right onto the anticlockwide ring road. We ran around to Lichfield Street and we were driopped off at the bus station. We waited for a bus towards Hanley. A short time later we saw First Potteries 67155 on a #23 to Newstead.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We crossed over the ring road and we ran down onto Regent Road and forwards onto Cleveland Road. We ran down though Shelton along College Road and we ran down to the railway station. We turned left onto Station Road and we ran part the railway station before going right onto Glebe Street. After a brief stop we continued forwards onto Glebe Street and we followed the road around onto Church Street. We crossed the A500. We ran under the railway line and we continued onto City Road. At the top of the hill we turned right onto Christchurch Street and we ran past the Co-op. We got up and got off the bus in the square. We set off on foot along Christchurch Street and we turned left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs and Matthew chilled out in his room until I arrived. Matthew had a slice of cheesecake whilst he waited. I turned up just after 15:00 and Matthew came downstairs to meet me. We cut through onto City Road and we walked to the bus stop outside the flat. We noticed that the new houses opposite the bus stop are starting to be occupied. We waited for a bus towards Newcastle. A short time later we saw First Potteries 69155 to Newcastle.

No one put their hand out (including myself) and the bus went straight past. We waited for the next bus to Newcastle. A short time later we saw D&G Bus 111 on a #1 to Park Site.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre. We continued along Church Street onto Hartshill Road and into the centre of Hartshill. We turned left into the Avenue and left again onto Hilton Road before turning right into the City General Hospital. As we travelled through the hospital we saw City Centre Central NK65 AWP and ABC Supreme HV22 HKM. Once through the hospital we turned right onto the A34 and we ran into Newcastle. We crossed the roundabout and we ran up Barracks Road and into the bus station from the South end. Once we got to the bus station we got up and got off the bus. Once we got off the bus we walked down to the bottom of the bus station. We saw D&G Bus 57 on a #85 to Nantwich.

On the main road we saw Leon's 240 heading Northwards along Barracks Road. We headed into the middle of the bus station to wait for something towards the hospital. A short time later we saw a bus approaching and it was First Potteries 67172 on a #22 to Longton.

We got on the bus and we booked to the hospital before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station onto Barracks Road. We ran Southwards onto the A34 and we got up and got off the bus by the Cherry Tree. We got off the bus and Matthew took a picture of First Potteries 67172 as it continued towards Longton.

Once off the bus we headed up the hill towards Grandma's. At Grandma's Matthew had toast and a can of Irn Bru and used her computer. around 18:00 we set off from Grandma's and headed to the pub. and we ran down Victoria Street. We turned left onto the A34. We continued southwards into Trent Vale past the site of a new Greggs. We continued through Trent Vale and we stopped at the pub. We walked into the pub and we sat down at our one our normal tables. Matthew had a brunch with oatcakes followed by toffee sponge pudding with ice cream. Highlights of the bus sightings included First Potteries 65041 on a #101 to Hanley and ABC Supreme YA67 VBB going Northwards. Once we had finished eating we set off We carried on along the A34 through Hanford and into Trentham. We turned left onto the A5035. We crossed over the railway line and into Blurton. We got back around 19:00. Matthew chilled out on his computer and we sorted a few things out. We wrote the Blog and sent a couple of e-mails. We chilled out on the sofa until bedtime around 00:00... Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. He was also going on the bus to Crewe later on. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the day centre, we saw Temple Street Church minibus RX18 GZW. we went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street. In the distance we saw Temple Street church minibus RX18 GZW. We carried on along Temple Street and we cut through onto City Road. We waited for a bus to Hanley. A short time later we saw the bus turned the corner and it was D&G Bus 124 on a #23 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off down City Road. we joined the A52 to go under the railway line and over the A500. We continued onto Church Street and into the centre of Stoke. After a brief stop we continued around the one-way system onto Elenora Street and right onto Copeland street. We turned left onto Glebe Street and we went under the railway line before turning left onto Station Road. We went past the railway station and due to roadworks we ran to the end of Station Road and turned right. We ran up Stoke Road and we turned right onto Avenue Road. At the roundabout we turned left onto College Road. After running the hill through Shelton we continued onto Cleveland Road and forwards onto Regent Road. We turned left onto Lower Bethesda Street and we crossed over the ring road onto Bethesda Street before we turned right onto John Street where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we had a walk around the bus station we saw Park's of Hamilton BF68 LFJ on a # to Bournemouth.

We waited for a bus towards Crewe. A short time later we saw the bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 65705 on a #3 to Crewe.

We set off out of the bus station and onto John Street. We turned right onto Bethesda Street and we went straight across onto Marsh Street. We turned right up onto Trinity Street and we went past the former RBS now a new shop. We turned left onto Stafford Street. After picking up more passenger outside of Debenhams we followed the road around to the left and then back onto marsh Street. At the roundabout we went straight on onto Waterloo Road and we ran up the hill into Cobridge. We continued into Burslem and through the traffic lights onto Scotia Road. We went past the old Burslem PMT garage and we followed the road around to the left onto Williamson Street. At the corner we turned right onto Tunstall High Street. and we continued North onto the A50. We ran through Goldenhill and down the bank into Kidsgrove. We ran under the railway line and we passed the site of the new Lidl being built in Kidsgrove. We continued into Cheshire and we crossed over the A34. We continued into Church Lawton and then into Alsager. We continued Westwards along the B5077 under the M6 and into Radway Green. We followed the road to the right up Slaughter hill and we continued straight up into Haslington. We turned left onto Crewe Road and we re-joined the B5077 towards Crewe Green. We crossed over the roundabout onto the Westbound A534 and we ran towards Crewe railway station. We past the railway station and we continued for around 1/2 mile before turning right into Edlestone Road. We ran into town crossing over the railway line and forwards onto Chester Bridge. We followed the road around onto Delamere Street and we turned right into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we saw Arriva NW&W 2933 on layover in the bus station.

We set off onto foot onto Charles Street and we went past the former Wetherspoons pub, which will soon be demolished to make way for the Royal Arcades shopping centre development. We turned right onto Victoria Street and we visited a coffee shop. Matthew used the toilet and afterwards a had a sausage sandwich washed down with a bottle of Coke. Across the square we saw that Santander is no longer a bank anymore. We walked back along Victoria Street we turned left onto Charles Street and we returned to the bus station. We saw D&G Bus 122 on layover.

We continued through the bus station and we walked through onto Market Square. We visited Subway. Afterwards we returned along Delamere Street into the bus station. We saw D&G Bus 128 on a #85 to Newcastle.

Whilst we waited for departure time we saw D&G Bus 57 on a #38 to Macclesfield. We set off out of the bus station onto Delamere Street and we followed the road around onto Chester Bridge. We ran forwards onto Edleston Road and we turned left onto the A534. We ran past the railway station and we continued up towards Haslington along the B5077. We turned right onto Slaughter Hill and we ran back through Radway Green and into Alsager. We continued over the A34 and into Staffordshire and we ran under the railway line into Kidsgrove. We ran up the hill into Goldenhill and we continued into Sandyford. We joined Tunstall High Street where we saw City Centre Central YD63 UKW in the depot. We continued down the High Street and we ran through the town centre and joined Scotia Road near to Asda. We ran up into Burslem and we continued along the A50 into Cobridge. We ran down the hill to the edge of Hanley and we went around the ring road to Town Road and we ran into Hanley. We ran down Quadrant Road and forwards onto Stafford Street. We ran across the shared space past the town hall and onto Bagnall Street. We ran forwards into the bus station. We got off the bus and we waited for a bus back to Fenton. A few minutes later the bus turned up and it was D&G 124 on a #23 to Blurton.

Matthew went upstairs to his room to chill out and watch buses out of the window. For tea Matthew had chicken and potatoes. Matthew went back to the room and went on his computer. Later on Matthew went out. We went downstairs and we and we got in the car. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto City Road and we ran down the hill into Stoke. We ran under the railway line and we crossed over the A500. we ran around the one-way system onto Lonsdale Street and we followed the road to the right onto Fleming Road. We turned right onto Campbell Place and we rejoined Church Street. We ran forwards onto Hartshill Road and we went up the hill into Hartshill. We turned left into Newcastle and we stopped at the pub on the end of George Street. Matthew had a glass of Coke. when he had finished he returned to Fenton by car. We set off onto George Street and we ran forwards onto Hartshill Road. we ran through Hartshill and we went down the hill into Stoke. We ran down to Stoke and onto the one way system. We turned right onto Elenora Street and we followed the road around onto Copeland Street. We ran forwards onto Glebe Street and we followed the one way system onto Church Street. We crossed over the A500 onto City Road and we went under the railway line. We ran up the hill into Fenton and we turned right onto Smithpool Road. We turned left into Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs to Matthew's room to chill out. He used his computer and watched music videos on the Television. Today we decided to re-visit Lichfield. We had checked the weather for today and it was for mainly dry sunny weather with some showers, with more chance of rain in the North West. We were also trying to avoid the bank holiday weekend traffic. We gave Matthew a list of destinations from North West and Midlands and from the list Matthew chose Lichfield. Matthew got up around 10:00 and had toast and orange for breakfast. We set off around 12:00 and we ran through Blurton along Beaconsfield Drive. We turned left onto Church Road and left again onto Blurton Road. We stopped at the shop to drop something off and also for Matthew to have an Easter Egg off mum's friend... Whilst we were stopped we saw First Potteries 67159 on a #23A to Newstead. We then continued on our way back up Blurton Road and right onto Church Road. At the ens we turned right onto the A5035. As we ran towards Trentham we caught up with First Potteries 53208 on a #22 to Newcastle. We also saw First Potteries 42554 on a #21A to Hanley. At the roundabout we turned left onto the Southbound A34. As we travelled down towards Stone we saw First Potteries 65037 on a #101 to Hanley. We continued South just to the West of Stone and then we went Eastwards along the A51. The road through Colwich and past Rugeley was unusually quiet and we didn't see a single bus coming the other way. I was beginning to think that maybe there was a Sunday service in these here parts... We continued into town and we followed the A51 Southwards and then left onto Birmingham Road. We stopped in the car park at the rear of the chip shop and we picked up dinner. Whilst in the chip shop we saw Middleton's coach YJ06 LGC going towards Tamworth and also Arriva Midlands 2368 on a #60 to Cannock. Once we go the food we carried on along Birmingham road and we parked at the car park at the rear of the bus station whilst we ate our food. Matthew had sausage chips and gravy with a bap. Once we had finished eat we said goodbye to mum and we went to the toilet. Whilst at that end of the bus station we saw required Midland Classic 5 on a #821 Lichfield town service.

We decided to have a wander around before we caught something. We saw Midland Classic 83 on a X12 to Burton upon Trent.

We had seen a coach parked up at the other end of the bus station when we arrived. Closer inspection revealed it to be National Holiday coach NH13 BWH.

We decided sit for a while at the western end of the bus station whilst we decided which buses to do next. We saw required Central Buses Solo 151 arrive on what was to form the next #35B to Walsall. We decided to go for a bit of a wander back to the other end of the bus station and we saw required Arriva Midlands 2745.

We sat up by the stop for the #35B as we think Matthew was eying up doing the Solo towards Walsall. Whilst there we saw required Midland Classic 3 on a #822 Lichfield town circular service.

The time was coming close to departure for Central Buses 151. Just when we thought we might be doing that Midland Classic double decker 53 appeared on the X12 service to Burton upon Trent.

Whilst we waited for the bus to be readied for service we saw dud Arriva Midlands 2372 on a #60 to Cannock.

People started to board the X12 so we queued up to get on the bus. Once on the bus we purchased a daysaver plus ticket at £4.90 before we went upstairs and sat down. The bus set off onto Birmingham Road and we continued North-Eastwards up the A5127 out of town. We past over the railway line near to Lichfield Trent valley station and we continued a bit further before joining onto the A38. We then had a very spirited run Northwards up the A38. We cams off the A38 just South of Burton onto the A5121 and then we turned right onto the B5018 and we ran through Branston into the centre of Burton. We turned left onto the A5189 and then right onto Uxbridge Street. We turned right onto New Street and we got up to get off the bus. We left the bus empty and Matthew took a picture inside Midland Classic 53.

Once we got off the bus we walked up New street towards the market hall so that Matthew could use the toilet. At the side of the Octagon Shopping Centre we saw Midland Classic 58 running out of service.

We crossed over the High Street and we walked through the shopping arcade towards the Market. In the square to the left there appeared to be some kind of event going on, and there was also a bouncy castle. We went into the market and Matthew used the toilet before we returned onto the High Street. On the High Street we saw Arriva Midlands 3768 about to work a X38 service to Derby.

We returned onto new Street and as we got there we saw dud Midland Classic double decker 42 about to work a #19 service to Ashby-de-la-Zouch.

Down the other end of New Street we could see another bus on stand. When we got closer we saw that it was required Midland Classic Solo 31 about to work a #3 service to Winshill.

We decided to do this bus on the proviso that Matthew behaved himself and didn't try to honk the horn! We got on the bus and we flashed the Daysaver Plus ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back if the bus. We set off up New Street and we turned left onto High Street. We ran onto the one way system and we joined the Eastbound A511. After we crossed the River Trent We turned left onto Newton Road and almost immediately onto bearwood Hill Road. We ran uo the hill through Winshill and we turned right onto Hawfield Lane. We turned right onto Vancouver Drive and at the end we turned right onto Melbourne Avenue. At the roundabout we turned left onto Empire Road.At the end we turned left and re-joined Hawfield Lane. At the end of Hawfield Lane we turned left onto Church Hill Street and we spotted the C-operative food store that we had seen on the way to the estate, so we decided to get up and get off the bus. Once we had got off the bus Matthew took another picture of Midland Classic 31 before it returned to Burton where this bus was finishing.

Once we got off the we wandered down the road to the Co-operative Food store to stock up on supplies. In the shop Matthew picked up a couple of small toffee cheesecakes and a chocolate bars as well as a can of Coke and an orange Calypo. Once we had paid for the stuff we walked down Hawfield Lane to the stop we could catch the return service. We worked out that we weren't at the loop end so crossed back over to the first stop we looked at and Matthew ate his orange Calypo. We saw the bus heading into the estate and it was Midland Classic 114. A few minutes later after it had been around the loop it appeared from round the corner and Matthew took a photo of Midland Classic 114 on the #3 to Horninglow.

We got on the bus and we flashed the Daysave plus ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Hawfield Lane and we turned left onto Church Hill Street. We ran down the hill and we turned left onto Newton Road before we turned right onto the A511. We crossed over the River Trent and then we turned left onto the High Street.We ran into town and we turned right into New Street. We let the bus empty and Matthew took a picture inside Midland Classic 114 before we got off the bus.

Once we got off the bus we had a look around to see what we could do. New Street was empty when we got there, but we saw a couple of buses on layover around the corner at the side of the Octagon Shopping Centre. At the front of the queue was required Midland Classic 32 and behind that was dud Midland Classic 55.

We walked back around the corner and there seemed to be a bit of a gap in some of the services at this time. There was a #2 at 16:07 which we thought would be a good option. Staying on the bus should in theory get us back 5 minutes before the next X12 to Lichfield. Across the road we saw Midland Classic 106 on a #3 to Winshill.

A few minutes before the bus was due Matthew wanted to go around the corner to see another bus on layover. Closer inspection revealed it was Arriva Midlands 3800 on a #29 to Coalville

We got on the bus and we flashed the Daysave Plus ticket to the driver before we sat down. We set off down New Street and we turned right into Union Street. There was a bit of a delay and the bus started to lose time. We turned left onto Station Street and we went past the railway station before we got onto the one-way system. We turned right onto Waterloo Street and we continued forwards onto the other half of Waterloo Street beyond the one-way system. At the end we continued onto Victoria Crescent and at the end of the road we turned left onto the A511. We ran under the A38 and we turned right onto Harper Avenue. The bus stopped and I flashed the ticket again to the driver for the return journey. We turned left onto St John's Road and right onto St Luke's Road At the end we turned left onto St Mary's drive and then we turned left onto Rolleston Road. At the end we re-joined the A511 and we ran back towards town. We dipped under the A38 and over the canal and we turned right into Victoria crescent. We went straight across onto Waterloo Street and then we turned left onto the one-way system. We joined the A5121 before turning left to go past the railway station. Further up Station Street we turned left onto Union Street. We then turned left onto New Street. In theory we had two minutes to spare and we should have just got off the bus and crossed the road... However, the stand where we should have stopped already had two buses there so we went straight past to the next stop. By the time we got back the X12 was just pulling off. Next to it was Trent Barton single decker 659 on one of The Villager services to Derby.

We crossed the road whilst we considered what to do next. There wasn't a bus towards Lichfield for over an hour, and it would be gone 18:00 by the time we got back to the car. Just as we thought about what else we could do we saw required Midland Classic 57 on a #401 service to Uttoxeter.

We got on the bus and we flashed the Daysaver Plus ticket to the driver for what turned out to be the last time today before we went upstairs. The rear of the top deck was empty so Matthew took a picture inside Midland Classic 57.

We set off along New Street an we turned right into Union Street. We worked out we could get to Tutbury for another bus back, or we could do as we decided to do and called mum to get her to meet us at Uttoxeter. Mum agreed to pick us so we continued to the end. We turned left onto Station Street and we ran onto the one-way system. Like we had done before we ran up Waterloo Street to the end, but on this service we turned left onto Dallow Street. We ran under the A38 and up to the hospital. We turned at the turning circle on the end of Belvedere Road and then we turn left onto Calais Road. We ran to the end and we turned left onto the A511. We ran past the pub at beam Hill and we ran at high speed for a couple of miles to the edge of Tutbury. We turned left onto Burton Road and we ran down into the centre of Tutbury. At the main junction we turned left onto Ludgate Street and we ran through the housing estate onto Belmont Road. We turned left onto Redhill Lane and ran past Tutbury Castle before we returned onto Duke Street and turned left onto the High Street where we passed dud Midland Classic 111 on the #401 to Burton upon Trent. We ran down the High Street on Bridge Street and we re-joined the A511 for the run into Hatton. We crossed over the railway line and we ran through Hatton village. At the end of the road by The Salt Box Cafe we followed the road to the left and we ran down for another couple of miles to the A50. We ran fast down to the next roundabout until we turned left onto the A515 and then right into Sudbury. We ran through Sudbury and past the stops where we used to swap over when we did the #1 for the X50 back in the day! We then ran past the village of Doveridge before we re-joined the A50. We ran down to the A518 roundabout and we continued to the retail park. We ran past the stop outside Tesco and up to the roundabout by the railway station. We did a u-turn and we went past a new Waitrose supermarket before running back into town up Bridge Street and Church Street. We turned left onto the A522 and we entered Uttoxeter bus station. Once we got to the bus station we got up and got off the bus. Matthew took another picture of Midland Classic 57 before it returned empty back to Burton.

Once we got off the bus we spotted Midland Classic 88 on the return #401 service to Burton.

We walked through the bus station and we walked around the corner to the car park where mum was waiting with Greggs sausage rolls and a bottle of Irn Bru for Matthew. We set off out of the car park onto Church Street and we turned left onto the A522. As we passed the bus station we saw Trent Barton 737 on a Swift service to Derby. We followed the road out of Uttoxeter and we passed minibus DX07 OAV. We joined the A50 and we ran West passing Swiftsure YN14 PLV & Acklams E14 ACK. We came off the A50 and we went to Z Carz to see what buses were parked up at the depot this evening. In the front row was Z Carz minibus DL03 HHU.

We turned around and we also saw Z Carz minibus BN03 OVS which is currently off the road. We rejoined the A50 and we ran West to Heron Cross where came of the A50 and onto Blurton Road. We ran through Blurton and we turned right onto Church Road. We turned right onto Beaconsfield Drive and we got home around 18:30. For a late tea Matthew had bangers and mash with carrots followed by a toffee cheesecake. We then chilled out on the computer until bedtime around 00:00... Mark.
