Trip to Fenton / Newcastle 16-03-2018

Today Matthew was in residential and he was going to his day service. He was also going to see Grandma later on and going to the pub and returning to Blurton for the weekend. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Outside we saw Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX.

A few minutes later we saw Z Carz KE03 JXC going towards Heron Cross. When it was time to go out we set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Chrsitchurch Street. We saw Intercity WF07 FFG on Gimson Street. We carried on to the day centre. In the morning Matthew did baking and made cakes. For dinner Matthew had sausage chips and gravy. In the afternoon Matthew walked to the pub. We set off onto Albert Square and we saw blue minibus DE02 WKT. We continued onto Christchurch Street and to the pub. Matthew went to the toilet and had a glass of Coke. Matthew chilled out in the pub all afternoon and afterwards retirned to the residential unit. We set off along Christchurch Street and we turned left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit to wait unril it was time to go back to Blurton. Matthew went up to his room to use the comnputer and chill out. Whilst we waited we saw Harry Shaws BF15 LBO going towards Stoke.

I turned up to pick Matthew up and Matthew got his pictures back on to his camera to take back to Blurton. Once we were ready we we went downstairs to the car. Just before 15:00 we set off back to Blurton. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street. We turned right onto Station Bridge Road and we continued onto Heron Street. We went through the traffic lights and we crossed over the A50 and we saw First Potteries 67152 on a #23A to Newstead. Behind us was Z Carz YJ62 RCO. We continued through Blurton along Blurton Road. We turned right onto Church Street. We turned right onto Beaconsfield Drive past the new build house and we saw Stanton's of Stoke KS05 BUS outside the school. We got home around 15:15. When we got home Matthew had toast and Irn Bru. Today we were catching the 15:56 to Newcastle as we were going to the pub via Grandma's House. We set off around 15:45 on foot to the bus stop all the way onto Magdalen Road. Whilst at the bus stop we saw First Potteries 63096 on a #22 to Longton.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off onto the A5035. We went over the railway line into Trentham and we s. We turned right into we saw Strathmore EU16 ENO in the industrial estate. We also passed white minibus HK58 ECC. We crossed into Trentham and we saw Stanton's of Stoke BV16 PBO. We turned right into New Inn Lane and we passed First Potteries 67157 on a #21A to the Trentham Hotel. We ran up the hill into Hanford. Due to roadworks in Hanford instead of turning left into Wilson Road we ran down Mayne Street down to the A34. We crossed under the A500 and we saw Newcastle School HG62 XDB and First Potteries 63174 on the final #22 turn. We headed into Trent Vale and we passed 65038 on a #101 to Stafford. We turned right into Harpfields Road and forwards on Hilton Road passing D&G 159 on a #9 to Biddulph. As we travelled through the hospital we saw ABC Supreme FV07 UCG, & E-zec patient transport YN15 FJY. We turned right onto the A34 and we could see First Potteries 32627 ahead of us on a #25 to Keele. A couple of stops down the road we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we crossed over the road we headed up the hill to Grandma's House. At Grandma's Matthew had a can of Irn Bru and used her computer. Around 18:00 we set off onto Victoria Street and we saw white minibus YK08 PVA. We turned left onto the A34. As we past the hospital we saw First Potteries 37156 on a #25 to Keele. We continued down the A34 and we ran down into Trent Vale and we saw GC14 OOE by the club. We carried on down the A34 and we went into the pub. Matthew had a brunch with oatcakes followed by toffee sponge pudding with custard. Whilst we ate highlights of the passing buses included ABC Supreme white minibus KX13 DZL going Northwards. We also saw First Potteries 65034 on a #101 to Stafford. Once we had finished eating we set off to pick up uncle Dave. We ran down the A34 and we joined the Northbound A500, passing Alfa 61 going the opposite way. We came off the A500 and we turned right onto the A50. We came off the A50 at Heron Cross and we dropped down into Fenton to pick uncle Dave up. Once we had picked him up we ran up to Heron Street and we crossed over the A50. We saw Lightning Travel BX04 VKL at the Lightning house. We continued into Blurton along Blurton Road where we saw School's Out YG58 WFS. We turned right onto Church Road and we turned right into Beaconsfield Drive. We got home around 19:30. Matthew chilled out on his computer and we composed a few e-mails and sorted a few things out. Today Matthew was in residential and he was going to his day service. Matthew was also going bowling today. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. When it was time to go out Matthew walked to the day centre. We set off onto Christchurch Street and to the day centre. In the morning Matthew went bowling in Festival Park. it was decided that Matthew was travelling up on the bus. We set off on foot onto Glebedale Road we saw Stoke-on-Trent city council welfare bus LK17 DVV. and we turned right onto City Road. After crossing over we walked around the corner onto Victoria Place. Whilst at the stop we saw Harry Shaw coach YN15 EKV.

We had to go back to the day centre so we walked down City Road and onto Glebedale Road and back to the day centre. We set off on foot onto Glebedale Road and we turned right onto City Road. After crossing over we walked around the corner onto Victoria Place. Whilst at the stop we saw First Potteries 63177 on a #6A to Hanley. We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down. We set off down Victoria Road and we crossed over the A52 at Joiners Square. We ran up Lichfield Street and we crossed over the ring road. We then got up and got off the bus at the stop outside the bus station. Matthew took a picture of First Potteries 63177 before it returned on a #6A to Blythe Bridge.

We went inside the bus station to wait for the next #4/4A to Festival park. Whilst we waited we saw Shaw Hadwin (National Express) BX65 WCM on a #333 to Bournemouth and First Potteries 32648 on a #25 to Keele. A few minutes later the bus appeared and it was First Potteries 67636 on a #4A to Talke Pits.

We got on the bus and we booked to Festival Park before we sat down. The bus set off onto John Street and we ran down the hill before we turned right onto Bethesda Street. We turned left onto Broad Street and then we joined the clockwise ring road. We ran around to Etruria Road and then we turned left onto Etruria Road. We went under the A53 and we went forwards onto Festival Way. We crossed the next roundabout and then we got up and got off the bus. We walked across to the bowling alley and then Matthew had a few games of bowling. We then walked back onto Festival Way to catch a bus back to Hanley. A few minutes later we saw the bus approaching and we could see by the large number on the front it was First Potteries 66964.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down. We set off along Festival Way and under the A53. We went forwards onto Etruria Road and we ran u the hill into Hanley. We crossed over Marsh Street and we ran forwards onto Trinity Street. At the top of the hill we turned right onto Stafford Street where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we went to the pub. We set off along Bagnall Street and we continued onto Cheapside. We turned right onto Piccadilly and we crossed over Stafford Street and we walked up to the pub. In the pub Matthew had a glass of Coke and went to the toilet. Whenwe had finished we walked around the corner onto Tontine Street and we crossed over Old Hall Street onto Lichfield Street. We walked to the stops outside the bus station to catch a bus back to Fenton. We looked up and we saw it was First Potteries 63175 on a #6 to Coalville.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off up Lichfield Street and we turned right into Birch Terrace. We followed the road around to the left onto Charles Street. At the top we turned right onto Old Hall Street before turning right onto the ring road. We turned left onto Lichfield Street and we ran down the hill to Joiners Square. We crossed the roundabout onto Victoria Road and we ran up the hill into Fenton. At the top of the hill we got up and got off the bus. We walked down Victoria Road to the chip shop to pick up dinner. We walked back to the day centre. We went down William Street and forwards onto Fiountain Street. WE crossed over Ckty Road onto Glebedale Road and back to the day centre. For dinner Matthew had sausage chips and gravy followed by a Manchester Tart. In the afternoon Matthew went to the local pub. We set off onto Christchurch Street. At the pub Matthew went to the toilet and then had a glass of Coke. When it was time to go Matthew walked back onto Christchurch Street and and to the day service. We walked along Christchurch Street and back to the day centre. We then returned to the residential unit. We set off onto Christchurch Street and we turned left onto Temple Street. Matthew went upstairs his computer and watching buses out of the window we saw Afford Rent-a-car PO17 ZXT. Matthew went shopping in The Range. We walked onto Temple Street and onto City Road. In the shop matthew went into the cafe and had some toast and a can of Coke. After he had finished eating we walked out onto City Road We then walked up the hill and we turned right into Temple Street and back tpo the residential unit. Matthew went up to his room to use his computer and watch buses out of the window. For tea Matthew had fish and chips followed by a Bakewell Tart. Later on Matthew went out in a Intercity taxi. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street. We turned right onto Station Bridge Road and we followed the road forwards onto Heron Street. At the light we went straight onto Blurton Road and at the roundabout we turned right onto thr Westbound A50. We ran down to Sideway and we turned right onto the Northbound A500. We came off the A500 in Stoke ansd we turned right onto the A52. We followed the road under the railway line and then left owards the railway station. We continued up to Joiners Square and t the roundabout we turned left onto Lichfield Street. We ran into Hanley and we stopped near to the Victoria Hall. Matthew went to see the circus show. Matthew went to the toilet and then had a glass of Coke before going into the hall to watch the show. When it had finished Matthew returned to Fenton in a taxi. We set off down Lichfield street and across the ring road. We ran forwards onto Lichfield Street and down to Joiners Square. At the roundabout we went straight onto Victora Road and up the hill into Fenton. We turned right onto City Road and left onto Smithpool Road. SWe turned left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Later on Matthew chilled out in his room. Matthew used his computer and watched music videos on the television. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

We set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street and to the day centre. In the morning Matthew went to Alton Towers it was Intercity OV58 YJE. We set off onto Glebedale Road and we turned right onto City Road. We ran forwards onto King Street and through Foley and into Longton. We continued onto Market street and we turned left onto Anchor Road. We turned right onto Sutherland Road and then we turned left onto Weston Coyney Road. at the end of the road we turned left onto the A520. We ran up the fast section of the road and into Cellarhead before turning right onto the A52. We ran up to Kingsley Moor and we followed the A52 to the left into Kingsley village. We turned left and we ran along Holt Lane. We turned left onto the B5417 and we ran through Oakamoor. We turned right onto below lane and we ran the last mile or so to Alton Towers. Matthew used the toilet. He had a glass of Coke. After spending time around the park doing stuff the park was closed so we walked around the grounds around the lake For dinner Matthew had egg sandwiches followed by a Bakewell tart.. we returned to the minibus. We set off along Wootton lane and we ran back to the B5417. We ran Westwards to Cheadle. We went onto the A521 and we ran Northwards up to Kingsley Moor. We continued onto the A52 and we ran up to Cellarhead. We went straight through the traffic lights and we ran through Werrington onto Ash Bank. We continued down the hill to Bucknall and we ran up the hill into Hanley. We parked up and we walked onto parliament Row and we stopped at the Pound baker to pick up sausage rolls. After we had finished there we walked down the alleyway next to Waterstones and we turned left onto Tontine street. We stopped at Subway for cup of pepsi max. Once we had finished there we returned to Intercity OV58 YJE for the journey back to Fenton. We set off onto Lichfield street and we ran down the hill to Joiners Square. We turned right onto the A52 and we ran towards Stoke railway station. We verrred left onto the A52 and we ran alongside the railway line. We turned left onto City Road and we ran up the hill into Fenton. We turned right into Smithpool Road. We turned left into Temple Street and we returned to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to his room to chill out and use his computer. He also watched buses out of the window. We saw Harry Shaws KOV 2 going towards Stoke.

We carried on down the hill to Aldi. Matthew brought his shopping and then we got a Autocabs taxi back to the residential unit. We set off onto Victoria Road and we ran up the hill. We turned right onto Manor Street and right onto City Road. We turned right onto Christchurch Street and right onto Masterson Street. and right onto Masterson Street. and right Temple Street. and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to chill out and use his computer. Later on Matthew went to uncle Daves in a car. We set off along Temple Street and left onto Smithpool Road we saw First Potteries 67154 on a #23A to Hanley. The people taking Matthew to uncle Dave's got a bit lost and turned right onto Wheildon Road. Matthew directed them to uncle Dave's house. For tea Matthew had chicken potatoes and carrots. later on he had a drink of Tango orange and a few digestive biscuits. Matthew chill out in uncle Dave's house using his computer and watching television. Uncle Dave also did his DJ set. A couple of hours later staff came to escort Matthew back home. We set off onto Whieldon Road and we turned onto Willowdale Avenue. We crossed the spare ground and we turned left onto Smithpool Road. We turned right onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went back to the room and went on his computer. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. Across the road we saw First Potteries 67159 on a #23 to Hanley. Around 09:00 we saw it was Z Carz DG10 VMJ to Chester. We got on the bus and we set off onto Temple Street. We turned right onto Smithpool Road and then left onto City Road. We ran down the hill and forwards onto the A52 and under the railway line. We turned right onto the Northbound A500 We ran North up to the M6 and we continued North as far as junction 20. At Junction 20 we went Westwards along the M56 At junction 15 we went Southwards down the M53 and forwards onto the A56. We then ran into the North end of Chester and we went on the clockwise ring road. We joined the Eastbound A51 and we went up Tarvin Road and around the one way system before going eastwards along the A5115. we stopped for dinner at The Peacock. Matthew went to the toilet and then had a glass of Coke. For dinner Matthew had a burger and chips followed by chocolate fudge cake. Highlights of the bus sightings included Stagecoach Merseyside 47517. When it was time to return we got back on board Z Carz DG10 VMJ. We set of along the A5115 and forwards onto the A51. We ran Westwards to the ring road and then we went anti-clockwise around to the A56. We ran North up to the M53 and we went North one junction to the M56. We got onto the Eastbound M56 as far as the A556 and then we went down to the A50. We travelled South through Knutsford. We continued to Holmes Chapel and down into Kidsgrove. At Kidsgrove we got off the bus to go shopping in Tesco Matthew did some shopping and when we finished we returned to Fenton on Z Carz DG10 VMJ. We carried on South towards Tunstall and we turned left onto the A527. In Fegg Hayes we turned right onto Oxford Street and we ran through Chell Heath past Matthew's old school. In Smallthorne we turned right onto Ford Green Road and at the roundabouts we turned left onto the A5272. We followed the road through Sneyd Green and Northwood and down to Bucknall. We turned right onto the A52 and at Joiners Square roundabout we turned left onto Victoria Road. At the top of the hill we turned right onto City Road and we ran down the hill to Smithpool Road. We turned left and left again onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. In the residential unit Matthew chilled out on his computer whilst he waited for us to arrive. Whilst wait we saw Jayjay's Travel PO58 XFX going towards Hanley.

Mum and dad arrived and we got ready to go out for tea. We set up a Christmas tree and some Christmas decorations. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto City Road and we ran down the hill onto the A52. We ran down the hill under the railway line and over the A500 into Stoke town centre. We ran around the one-way system and we ran up Hartshill Road through Hartshill. We continued along the A52 to the edge of town and we turned right into Albert Street. At the traffic light we turned right onto A53 and we stopped at the pub. Matthew went to the toilet and then we found mum who had saved us a table. I ordered the food and Matthew had a glass of Coke whilst we waited. The food arrived and Matthew had a burger and fries. He also helped us eating the some of the meat and sausage on our mixed grills. Whilst we ate we saw D&G Bus 40 on a #2 to Hanley. For dessert Matthew had Chocolate fudge cake and ice cream. After we had finished eating we left the pub and went to the car. We turned left onto the A53 and ran through Basford down to Etruria. We turned left onto the A500. We came of the A500 in stoke and we turned left onto City Road. An we ran up the hill into Fenton. We turned left onto the private road on which the baths are situated and we dropped mum off outside the baths. We turned around and we ran back to City Road. We turned left and we saw Harry Shaw's TIL 6715. We turned right into Smithpool Road and we turned left. We turned left Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We went up to Matthew's room and we wrote some of the Blog. After doing a couple of entries I left and Matthew chilled out in his room watching television and using his computer. Later on Matthew emptied his bin into a bin bag. had a bath and then had toast for supper. Later on Matthew He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Around 09:00 we set off on foot to the day centre. We walked onto Christchurch Street and up to the day centre. In the morning Matthew had communication skills and used the computer. For dinner Matthew had sausage rolls followed by toffee cheesecake. In the afternoon Matthew went to his trampoline class. Transport for the trip was Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We got on the bus and the bus set off onto Glebedale Road and we turned left onto City Road. At the bottom of the road we turned right onto the A52 and headed towards the railway station. We continued along the A52 over Joiners Square roundabout and past the Limekiln Bank junction and forwards into Abbey Hulton. We turned right onto Abbots Road and we stopped at the sports centre. we also saw Stoke-on-Trent city council welfare bus LK17 DWD. Matthew used the toilets before having a session on the trampoline and getting his level 2 certificate. we saw silver minibus MF57 OBT. When it was time to go back we climbed back aboard Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX for the return journey. We set off onto Abbots Road and left onto Leek Road. We continued through Limekiln Bank junction and forwards to Joiners Square. At the roundabout we turned left onto Victoria Road. We did this to the top and we turned sharp right onto City Road and left onto Glebedale Road and back to the day centre. When it was time to return to the residential unit we set off on foot onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto Temple Street and back to the unit. Matthew went up to his room to chill out and us his computer. We saw Jayjay's Travel PO58 XFX heading towards Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre along Church Street. After a brief stop in Stoke we continued along church Street and forwards onto Hartshill Road. We ran up the hill and into Hartshill. We ran forwards onto George Street and we ran down the hill into Newcastle. We turned left at the roundabout onto Barracks Road and into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we walked along Hassell Street and we turned right onto the High Street. We went into the pub and Matthew went to the toilets. Matthew than had a glass of Coke. Matthew also had a few biscuits. We then walked back down the High Street and left onto Hassell Street and back to the bus station to wait for the bus back station. Whilst we waited for a bus back to Fenton we saw First Potteries 67604 on a #4 to Hanley.

A few minutes later the bus appeared and it was First Potteries 67633 on a #11 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station and we ran onto Barracks Road. We turned right at Jubilee roundabout onto the A53 and we ran around the one-way system onto the A52. We ran up George Street and into Hartshill. We ran through the village and down the hill into Stoke town centre. After a brief stop in Church Street we continued into Fenton up the A52, over the A500 and under the railway line. We ran up City Road and near to the top we got up and got off the bus. We crossed the road and we walked onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew chilled out in his room on his computer. Matthew also watched television in his room and then had a bath. Later on Matthew had toast for supper before going to bed around 23:00... Mark.
