Trip to Fenton / Newcastle 12-05-2015

Today Matthew was in respite and he was going to his day service. Matthew got up and had some toast for breakfast. He waited in his room for the bus to arrive. Picking up another client was Stanton's of Stoke KN61 EYG.

Shortly afterwards Matthew transport appeared and it was one of his usual buses, Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU.

We got on the bus and and the bus set off onto Dividy road and towards Adderley Green. At the roundabout we turned right onto anchor Road and down into Longton. We went around the one way system, over the A50 and onto the A5035. We did the A5035 through Dresden, Blurton and into Trentham. We turned right onto New Inn Lane and we went into the estate to pick up another service user. We headed back onto the A5035 and we turned left into Church Road. We carried on through Blurton and over the A50 and through Heron Cross. We go into Heron Street and over the railway line. We turn left into Christchurch Street and to our destination. In the morning Matthew spent time in the sensory room and he used a computer. For dinner Matthew had shepherds pie followed by cake. In the afternoon Matthew went in the minibus to the North Staffs Adventure Playground. We went on Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. The bus went onto Glebedale road and then left onto City Road. We continued down onto the A52 and over the A500. We went through Stoke around the one way system and continued out of the other side on the A52 through Hartshill. We continued into Newcastle onto George Street and we saw Stanways N408 MPN. We continued on Ryecroft and over the roundabout towards Knutton. We turned at Poolside and we got to the Playground via Dunkirk and Castle Hill Road. It was a nice day so they played outside and Matthew used the toilet too. Matthew also spent time in the soft play area. Matthew also made a mobile out of shells. When it was time to go we got back Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. The bus left the playground and we got back onto Ryecroft via Poolside and Knutton Lane. We went around the one way system on the A52/A53 and we joined the A52 to run down into Stoke. In Stoke we went around the one way system along Eleanora Street and Glebe Street and we crossed over the A500 onto City Road. We carried on until we got near to the top of City Road and we turned right into Glebedale Road and to our destination. After a quick stop at the day centre Matthew got back on the bus Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX for the trip back to respite. There had been a change of staff and Matthew didn't tell them he was meant to be in Bentilee and not in Blurton! We set off onto Christchurch Street an right onto Station Bridge Road and Heron Street. In Heron Cross we went straight across onto Blurton Road and over the A50. We carried on into Blurton along Blurton Road and forward onto Church Road. We turned right onto Beaconsfield Road and arrived home just before 15:00. Unfortunately Matthew wasn't due home today! He gave us the mobile that he made out of shall and then he got back on the bus for the trip to respite... We set off onto the A5035 and we turned right towards Trentham. We turned right into New Inn Lane and we dropped off another service user before going back up the A5035 through Blurton, Dresden and into Longton. We crossed the A50 and we went down the Strand before turning right onto Market Street. We turned left onto Anchor Road and we headed up to Adderley Green. At the roundabout we turned left and went to Bentilee and to our destination. Matthew went to his room to wait for tea. Whilst there we saw Jayjays Travel minibus NH57 FXT dropping off another service user.

For tea Matthew had chips and beans followed by cake. Matthew watched television and used his tablet computer before having a bath. Afterwards he chilled out in his room until bedtime at 23:00... Mark

Trip to Fenton 10-03-2015

Today Matthew was in respite and he was going into his day service. Matthew got up and had some breakfast. Whilst he waited for his bus to appear, he took a few pictures out of the window. we saw Stantons of Stoke KN61 EYG.

A few minutes later Jayjays Travel PO58 XFX came to pick up another service user.

Eventually Matthew's bus appeared and it was his usual transport, Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU.

The bus set off onto Dividy Road and headed down to the A52. We turned left onto Victoria Road and then right onto manor Street. At the end of manor Street we turned left and then right onto Glebedale Road and we reached our destination. In the morning Matthew went into the sensory and spent time using a computer. for dinner Matthew had beans on toast. After dinner they went for a ramble. They headed into Fenton along Masterton Street. They stopped at the shop and Matthew had a bottle of Coke. They went onto Smithpool Road. We saw First Potteries 53209 on a #23A service.

They walked through the park and came out on Grove Road. We walked towards Heron Cross and then went onto the footpath over the A50. We walked down the path down the hill alongside the A50 and we went to the Britannia Stadium. We went to the harvester and Matthew had a drink of Coke and used the toilet. We walked back to the path by the A50 and we crossed over the road. Instead of going let to grove Road we went right towards Heron Cross. We walked onto Bourne Street and we saw Copeland Tours MIB 797 on a #40 to Longton.

We crossed over the cross Road and we walked down Heron Street. We then saw First Potteries 41514 on a #23 to Newstead.

We carried on down Heron Street and we crossed over the railway line before turning left onto Christchurch Street. We then saw First Potteries 53828 on a #23 to Hanley.

We stopped at the Bench and Bar for another drink of Coke. We then walked back to the day centre. The transport back to Bentilee was Shelton Care Group NL61 VSG. We set off onto Glebedale Road and into Heron Cross. We cross over the crossroads and over the A50 into Blurton. We went along blurton Road and Church Road and onto the A5035. We turned right and we headed to Trentham. We turned right again onto new Inn Lane and right again onto Pacific Drive. We dropped another service user off and we head back onto the A5035. In Longton we crossed the A50 and we jinked around the edge of Longton down Chadwick Street and Bridgewood street. We turned onto Sutherland Road and then we turned right onto Anchor Road. At the other end of Anchor Road we turned left towards Bentilee. We travelled around a mile to the respite centre and I took a picture of Shelton Care Group NL61 VSG.

I went up to my room for a while to watch the other buses arrive. We saw Blackfriars Mercedes minibus CN59 AEW.

For tea Matthew had Sausage and chips followed by cake. Matthew had a bath and then used his computer and watched telly until bedtime around 23:00... Mark

Trip to Bucknall / Norwich 15-07-2014

Today Matthew was in respite. He was also going into college. Matthew got up around 07:00 and has his breakfast. The bus was due just before 09:00 and when it turned up it was his usual transport Stantons of stoke BV51 ENL.

We set off down the road towards the A52 and then turned right onto Twigg Street. We turned left onto Malthouse Road and then right onto Ruxley Road. We turned left onto Pennell Street before going right onto the A52. We turn left at Newhouse Road before getting to our destination. Matthew went to Norwich on it was Z Carz M534 RSO. We set off onto Newhouse Road and we turned right onto the A52 and we ran through Joiners Square to Stoke and we got onto the Southbound A500. We got onto the A50 and we ran East to the M1. We then travelled Southwards down the M1 and we went Eastwards along the A14 into East Anglia. We joined the Eastbound A47 and we ran into Norwich. We parked up and went to the Bell Hotel for dinner. Matthew had a burger and fries washed down with a glass of Coke. For after Matthew had chocolate fudge cake and ice cream. Matthew went to the toilet and we could see buses out of the window. Highlights of the bus sightings includede First Eastern Counties 33157 on a #28 to Thorpe Marriott. When we had finished we returned to Bucknall on Z Carz M534 RSO. We set off through town and onto the westbound A47. We continued Westwards along the A14 and we joined the Northbound M6. We ran through Birmingham into Staffordshire and we came off the M6 at junction 15. We ran Northwards up the A500 to Stoke and we went eastwards along the A52 through Joiners Square and Bucknall. We turned right towards ash banks and the left onto Newhouse Road and back to college. We got up and got off the coach. Matthew returned to respite on his usual bus Stantons of stoke BV51 ENL. We headed back onto Newhouse Road before turning right onto the A52. We turned right onto Dividy Road and we carried on into bentilee and to our destination. When Matthew got back he went upstairs to watch the other buses arrive. Shortly after he got upstairs we saw one of Stanton's of Stoke newest buses, Mercedes minibus KN61 EYG.
