Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. He was also going to Hanley and going out for tea. Matthew got up and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Whilst waiting for time to got to the day centre Matthew spent time in his room watching buses. We saw First Potteries 67157 on a #23 to Hanley. Around Around 09:00 we set off on foot to the day centre. We walked onto Temple Street and right onto Christchurch Street. At the day centre we saw Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX.

We continued up City Road and we walked up to the roundabout and around the corner onto Victoria Road to wait for the bus to Hanley. Whilst we waited we saw First Potteries 67603 on a #6 to Weston Coyney. A few minutes later we saw Harry Shaw 84 COV.

A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw that it was First Potteries 63175 on a #6 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off down Victoria Road and we ran down the hill towards Joiners Square and at the roundabout we went straight across onto Lichfield Street. We got up and got off the bus half way up the hill. We walked onto Clifford Street and along the footpath onto Grace Crescent. We went into the YMCA and Matthew brought a can of Coke from the Spar shop. Matthew went to the sports hall and played some football. When we had finished we walked up Harding Road onto Regent Road and to the bus stop. We waited for a #23 back to Fenton. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw that it was First Potteries 67151 on a #23 to Newstead. We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Regent Road and forwards onto Cleveland Road. We ran down though Shelton along College Road and we ran down to the railway station. Due to a diversion we turned right onto Station Road and left onto Stoke Road. After crossing the A500 we got onto the one-way system and we turned left onto Copeland Street. We continued forwards onto Glebe Street and we followed the road around onto Church Street. We crossed the A500 and we ran under the railway line. After climbing up the hill we turned right onto Christchurch Street. We got up and got off the bus and Matthew took a picture of First Potteries 67151 as it continued towards Newstead.

Once off the bus we walked back to the day centre. For dinner Matthew had a beans on toast followed by a cupcake. In the afternoon Matthew went to Finney Gardens via Aldi. Transport for the journey was Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We set off onto Glebedale Road we turned right onto City Road and sharp left onto Victoria Road. We ran down the hill and over the railway line before stopping at Aldi. After doing some shopping we continued towards Finney Gardens on Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We set off onto Victoria Road and we ran down to Joiners Square. We turned right onto the A52 and we ran towards Bucknall. At Limekiln we turned right to follow the A52. We turned left onto Finney Green and we parked up. after spending some time at the gardens we returned to Fenton on Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We set off onto Finney Green and we turned right onto the A52. At Limekiln Light we followed the A52 to the left. At Joiners Square we turned left onto Victoria Road and we ran up the hill into Fenton. We turned right onto Manor Street and right onto City Road. We turned left onto Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to his room to chill out and wait for us to pick him up. Whilst he waited he used his computer and watched buses out of the window. We saw First Potteries 63097 on a #11 to Newcastle.

Matthew notice that Afford had removed the advertising hoard from off the top of the garage. A short while later me and mum appeared to take Matthew out to tea. We went down to the car and we set off onto Temple Street. We turned left onto Christchurch Street and we turned left onto City Road. We ran down the hill and under the railway line into Stoke. We crossed over the A500. We went around the one-way system. We ran up the hill into Hartshill and we continued to the edge of Newcastle. We turned right into Albert Street and we turned right onto the A53. We stopped at the pub and Matthew went to the toilet. Matthew had a burger and chips followed by a chocolate fudge cake and ice cream, washed down with a glass of Coke. Highlight's of the bus sightings include Harry Shaw 84 COV going towards Etruria and First Potteries 65027 on a #4 to Hanley. After we had finished Matthew visited the toilet again. We returned to the car and we travelled back to Fenton. We turned right onto the A53 and we ran around the one-way system. We turned left onto Barracks Road we saw First Potteries 67661 on a #4 to Hanley and we ran past the bus station where we saw Arriva Midlands 2983 on a #164 to Market Drayton. We continued down the A34 and we turned left Newcastle Lane. We turned left onto Hilton Street and right on to The Avenue. At the end we turned right onto Hartshill Road. We ran down to Stoke and onto the one way system. We turned right onto Elenora Street and we followed the road around onto Copeland Street. We ran forwards onto Glebe Street and we followed the one way system onto Church Street. We crossed over the A500 onto City Road and we went under the railway line. We ran up the hill into Fenton and we turned right onto Smithpool Road. We turned left into Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We went up to Matthew's room and we wrote some of the Blog. Matthew also drank a can of Irn Bru. After doing a couple of entries I left and Matthew chilled out in his room watching television and using his computer. Later on Matthew chilled out in his room. Matthew used his computer and watched music videos on the television. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was also going out to the Potteries Connection running day. As it was such an important event we decided to take him out for the day. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. I called around 09:00 to make sure he was up and ready and I came to pick him up around 10:00. We went downstairs and we got into the car. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street. We turned right onto Station Bridge Road and we ran forwards onto Heron Street. We went straight through the traffic lights onto Blurton Road. At the roundabout we turned left and joined the Eastbound A50. We came off the A50 at Longton and we went left onto Baths Road. We passed the bus station which was empty and we turned right onto Market Street. As Market Street is closed for roadworks we turned left onto the B5039 and right onto Sutherland Road. We turned right onto Landon Street. As we reached the top of Landon Street we saw Mansfield & District 148 go past on it's way to the bus rally. We turned right onto Uttoxeter Road and we veered left onto Commerce Street and we turned left into the car park. Once we had parked up the car we walked onto Millbank Street onto Normacott Road where we saw South Staffs F23 HGG & PMT Bristol VR 604.

We turned left onto Chadwick Street and we entered the site of the bus rally which was in the car park of the Gladstone Pottery Museum. We started to walk around the site to take pictures of the buses. We saw preserved Robin Hood RIB 8289 arriving on the site.

We continued walking around the site in a clockwise direction. At the Southern end of the site we saw Southern Vectis Leyland National 880 parked up.

We walked up to the South Eastern corner of the sight and we saw Mansfield based Midland General Bristol RE 148 again.

In the corner nearest to the museum was Stanton's of Stoke Mercedes minicoach NXJ 321.

As we carried on in a clockwise circle of the site we came across Northampton Transport half cab double decker 267 parked up next to the museum.

First Potteries also sent a vehicle to display at the rally. The vehicle they sent was First Potteries Enviro300 67642.

We went down to the bottom end of the site to find the rally control vehicle. As we went down to the bottom end of the site we saw former First PMT vehicle 30031 arrive on site.

We found the control vehicle and due to a computer issue there were no programs for the rally today. They did print a small leaflet with the bus times and what was supposed to be working on them. We had a few minutes before the next required bus was leaving at 11:15, so we took a few more pictures. We saw former Copeland's Tours and PMT Dart 917.

Around 11:15 as written on the sheet required half cab Coventry Transport 366 pulled up to the bus stop and started to load up for a run to Trentham Gardens. We got on the bus and we went upstairs and we sat down towards the back of the bus. A few minutes later we set off onto Chadwick Street and we ran down over the A50 onto the A5035. We ran through Dresden into Blurton and close to the house before crossing over the railway line into Trentham. We continued to the end of the A5035 and we crossed over the A34 into Trentham Gardens. At the first roundabout We turned left and we ran to the end past the car parks and around to the coach pick up point where we stopped. We got off the bus and we saw Bakers Dolphin BD08 GLD parked up at the side of the road on a mystery excursion.

We had a few minutes before the bus was due to return. Matthew decided that he wanted to visit the toilet. Whilst he was in the toilet PMT 30031 appeared and left on a duplicate service. Coventry Transport 366 also left a few minutes early. We decided to resort to plan B and have dinner at Trentham Gardens instead of the cafe in Fenton that I had originally planned to take Matthew. Then next bus was due off in 30 minutes. We set off into the retail village and we went to the Riverside restaurant. Matthew had a burger and fries washed down with a bottle of Coke. We finished eating and we got back to the bis stop just about at the time the bus was due. We asked someone who was waiting and they said they hadn't seen the bus so we waited for a short while and we saw the expected bus make an appearance. It ran around the car park and Matthew got a picture of required Northampton Transport 267 as it approached the bus stop.

We got on the bus and we went upstairs and sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the gardens and across the A34 onto the A5035. We ran over the railway line into Blurton and we continued into Dresden and Longton. After crossing over the the A50 we ran around the roundabout onto Normacot Road. We turned left onto Chadwick Street and right into the car park. We got up and got off bus. Just as we got off the bus we saw the 12:30 to Stone loading up and it was required Midland Red 227.

We decided to do this bus so we got on it and sat down near to the front. The bus was duplicated and the leading bus was Turner's 10 driven by Martyn Hearson. We set off onto Chadwick Street and onto Normacot Road We crossed the A50 and joined the A5035. We ran along through Dresden and into Blurton travelling nearby to our house. We crossed the railway and we went into Trentham. At the A34 we went South and down through Tittensor and the the West of Stone through the roadworks. At the bottom end of town we turned left onto the A520 and we went onto the one way system and onto Crown Street. We got up and got off the bus. Matthew wanted to go to the toilet. The bus was a little late but as the driver of turners 10 had got off the bus to take a picture Matthew was able to go. when Matthew had finished in the toilet we saw Midland Red was still parked up so we decided to do that back to Longton.

We got back onto the bus and we sat down in similar seats from where we got up from. We set off up Crown Street and up around the one-way system onto Granville Square. We veered left onto the Northbound A520. We headed up this winding dark road surrounded by trees and we burst out into open countryside for the run up to Rough Close. At Rough Close we took the A5005 through Lightwood past the site of the old Lightwood Tavern and into Longton. We crossed the A50 and onto Normacot Road. We turned left onto Chadwick Street and right into the site of the bus rally. When we got back we got up and got off the bus. We were just in time for required Halton Transport Leyland National II 33 which was about to work the #12:30 to Stone.

We got on the bus and we sat down towards the front of the bus. We set off onto Chadwick Street and onto Normacot Road We crossed the A50 and joined the A5035. We ran along through Dresden and into Blurton travelling nearby to our house. We crossed the railway and we went into Trentham. At the bottom end of town we turned left onto the A520 and we went onto the one way system and onto Crown Street. We got up and got off the bus. Matthew took another picture of before it returned to Longton.

A few minutes later the duplicate bus made an appearance. As expected it was required Southern Vectis Leyland National 880 on a service back to Longton.

We got on the bus and we sat down towards the front of the bus. We set off up Crown Street and up around the one-way system onto Granville Square. We veered left onto the Northbound A520. We headed up this winding dark road surrounded by trees and we burst out into open countryside for the run up to Rough Close. At Rough Close we took the A5005 through Lightwood and into Longton. We crossed the A50 and onto Normacot Road. We turned left onto Chadwick Street and right onto the bus rally site. Once at the site we got up and got off the bus. There was a little time before the next required bus was due to depart. We had a quick walk around the site and we saw Bassetts Travel JRE 354V which had made an appearance since our last trip.

A few minutes later and one of the 2 expected buses on the 14:30 pulled onto the bus stop. It was required Island Princess 4817 F.

We got on the coach and we sat down towards the front of the coach. We set off onto Chadwick Street and onto Normacot Road We crossed the A50 and joined the A5035. We ran along through Dresden and into Blurton travelling nearby to our house. We crossed the railway and we went into Trentham. At the A34 we went South and down through Tittensor and the the West of Stone through the roadworks. At the bottom end of town we turned left onto the A520 and we went onto the one way system and onto Crown Street. We got up and got off the bus. At Rough Close we took the A5005 through Lightwood and into Longton. We crossed the A50 and onto Normacot Road and we turned left into Chadwick Street. There was a little time before the last required coach was going to work so we had a quick walk around the rally site again. We saw late arrival Blackpool Transport 353 parked up by the museum.

Around 15:30 one of the 2 buses booked to do the run to Stone appeared at the bus stop. It was required South Staffs coaches Volvo B10 F23 HGG in National Express livery.

We got on the coach and we sat down towards the middle of the coach over the engine. We set off onto Chadwick Street and onto Normacot Road We crossed the A50 and joined the A5035. We ran along through Dresden and into Blurton travelling nearby to our house. We crossed the railway and we went into Trentham. At the A34 we went South and down through Tittensor and the the West of Stone through the roadworks. At the bottom end of town we turned left onto the A520 and we went onto the one way system and onto Crown Street. We got up and got off the bus. We got up and got off the bus. The site was almost empty now and we saw Turners 10 parked up along side the museum.

We headed along Chadwick Street and we turned right onto Millbank Street. We got back into the car and we drove onto Commerce Street. At the roundabout we went right onto The Strand and under the railway Bridge onto King Street. We passed through Foley into Fenton and we ran forwards onto City Road. We turned left onto Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street. When we got back to the residential unit Matthew took a picture of Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX.

We went upstairs and we said goodbye to Matthew until tomorrow. Matthew chilled out in his room and used his computer. He also drank a can of Fanta orange. For tea Matthew had a chicken and potatoes. Matthew went back to the room and went on his computer. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

later on we went to Middleport in a car. We went downstairs and we got in the car. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto City Road and we ran down the hill into Stoke and onto the A52. We went under the railway line and over the A500. We joined the Northbound A500 and we ran up through Etruria up to Longport. We came off the A500 and we turned right onto the A5272. We ran up to Trubshaw Cross an we turned right onto Newcastle Street. We stopped at the shop and we went inside. Matthew went in a brought a breakfast to take away. We got into the car and we set off up Newcastle Street into Burslem. We turned right onto Waterloo Road and we ran through Cobridge into Hanley. We ran clockwise around the ring road and we turned left onto Lichfield Street. At Joiners Square we turned right on the roundabout onto the A52. We ran towards and past Stoke railway station and along side the railway line. We turned left onto City Road and up the hill into Fenton. We turned right onto Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to the residential unit and he ate the breakfast. After he had finished eating Matthew went out on the bus. We went downstairs and we walked through onto City Road. We walked down to the bus stop outside the flats and we waited for a bus towards Stoke. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 63178 on a #11 to Newcastle.

We set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre along Church Street. We got off the bus and we down the road to the other stop to wait for a #23A to Hanley. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching and as it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67151 on a #23A to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Church Street. We followed the one-way system around onto Elenora Street and right onto Copeland Street. We turned left onto Glebe Street and we ran under the railway line before turning left onto Station Road. After stopping briefly outside the railway station we turned right onto College Road and we ran up the hill through Shelton. We saw Premier Travel minibus BX11 AZV parked in a back street near to Cauldon Road. We continued onto Cleveland Road and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We crossed over the ring road and we continued along Bethesda Street before turning right onto John Street. We got up and got off the bus outside the snooker club. We walked along Bagnall Street and we turned right past the town hall. We turned left onto Stafford Street and left onto Trinity Street. We stopped at the opticians and Matthew had his eyes tested. Once we had finished in the optician we set off up Trinity Street. We turned right onto Stafford Street and we saw First Potteries 63097 on a #18 to Leek. We continued along Stafford Street and we turned left onto Lichfield Street and back to the bus station. We waited for a bus back to Fenton. A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 67152 on a #23 to Newstead.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We crossed over the ring road and we ran down onto Regent Road and forwards onto Cleveland Road. We ran down though Shelton along College Road and we ran down to the railway station. We turned left onto Station Road and we ran part the railway station before going right onto Glebe Street. After a brief stop we continued forwards onto Glebe Street and we followed the road around onto Church Street. We crossed the A500 and we ran under the railway line. After climbing up the hill we turned right onto Smithpool Road where we got up and got off the bus. We crossed over City Road and we cut though and went upstairs to the residential unit. Matthew chilled out in his room for a while. Later on Matthew went out to KFC. Matthew went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street. We turned left onto Christchurch Street and right onto City Road, We walked past Philpots and at the roundabout we turned right into KFC. Matthew had a chickenburger and fries washed down with a cup of Coke. Whilst we ate we saw Paul's of Stoke P482 HBA going towards the BET365 stadium. Once we had finished eating we walked back along City Road and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to chill out in his room. He watched television and used his computer. Matthew had a drink of orange. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. Today was the day the services are planned to start to Aston Lodge and Walton in Stone operated by Community Link Stafford & District. Matthew was also going to the pub and going to Hanley later on. Around 09:00 we went downstairs and we set off on foot to the day centre. We walked onto Temple Street and onto Christchurch Street. In the morning Matthew made some cup cakes with butter icing. For dinner he had sausage chips and gravy from the chips shop. After dinner we went to the pub. Today we went to the pub. Transport for the trip was Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX.

We set off onto Glebedale Road and we Fountain Street. We then turned left onto Williams Street and right onto Manor Street. We turned left onto Victoria Road and we headed down to the roundabout at Joiners Square. At the roundabout we turned right onto the A52 and then left to our destination. At the pub Matthew went to the toilet and had a drink of Coke. Highlights of bus sightings included First Potteries 67660 on a #6A to Hanley and Magnum PJ62 BKO heading towards Hanley. Matthew listened to music on the Jukebox including tracks by Jim Finnegan & Steps. When it was time to go Matthew got aboard Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX for the journey home. We set off onto Palmerston Street and we turned right onto the A52. We ran onto the roundabout at joiners Square and we went straight on. We continued along the A52 past the railway station We turned left onto City Road. Glebedale Road and to our destination. When it was time to home home we climbed aboard Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We set off onto Christchurch Street an right onto Station Bridge Road and Heron Street. Grove Road Smithpool Road. Temple Street and onto Christchurch Street. We returned to the day centre and Matthew did some mopping up. When it was time to go back to the residential unit Matthew set off onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto Temple Street and back to the unit. When we got back Matthew went upstairs. Matthew went up to his room to chill out and use the computer. Matthew also watched buses out of the window. We saw white minibus PF56 SKK going towards Stoke.

For tea Matthew had lasagne followed by cheesecake. We went out to catch the bus. We went downstairs and we set off on foot to the bus stop. We walked onto Temple Street and right onto Christchurch Street. We continued up City Road and we walked up to the roundabout and around the corner onto Victoria Road to wait for the bus to Hanley. Whilst we waited we saw ABC Supreme SF11 HZE. A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 41496 on a #6 to Hanley. We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off down Victoria Road and we ran down the hill towards Joiners Square and at the roundabout we went straight across onto Lichfield Street. We crossed over the ring road and at the stop outside the bus station we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we walked up Tontine Street to the pub. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards a had a glass of Coke. When we had finished we returned down Tontine Street onto Lichfield Street and back to the bus station. As we got back onto Lichfield Street we saw First Potteries 37157 on a #11 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off up Lichfield Street and we turned right into Birch Terrace. We followed the road around to the left onto Charles Street. At the top we turned right onto Old Hall Street before turning right onto the ring road. We turned left onto Lichfield Street and we ran down the hill to Joiners Square. We crossed the roundabout onto Victoria Road and we ran up the hill into Fenton. At the top of the hill we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we set off on foot up Victoria Road and we went sharp right onto City Road. We turned left onto Christchurch Street and we turned right onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs and back to his room. Matthew used his computer and watched television in his room. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. He was also going to Hanley on the bus later on. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the day centre, we saw Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU.

Around 09:00 we went downstairs and we set off on foot to the day centre. We walked onto Temple Street and right onto Christchurch Street and into the day centre. At the day centre in the morning Matthew did communication studies. For dinner Matthew had a cheese oatcake followed by a Bakewell Tart. In the afternoon Matthew went to Hanley on the bus. We set off on foot onto City Road. We crossed over City Road and we walked up to Victoria Place to wait for a bus to Hanley. A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 41499 on a #6 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down. We set off down Victoria Road and we crossed over the A52 at Joiners Square. We ran up Lichfield Street and we crossed over the ring road. We then got up and got off the bus at the stop outside the bus station. Once off the bus we set off up Lichfield Street and went straight on onto Stafford Street. We walked up Tontine Street and around the corner into Tontine Square. We went into Harley's and Matthew had a glass of Coke. Once we had finished there we walked across the square to the Into Potteries shopping centre. WE went up the escalator onto the first floor and we went to the pattiserie stall outside HMV. Matthew brought a biscuit on a stick. Once we had finished we set off across Tontine Square onto Tontine Street. Matthew went into the pub on the corner of Old Hall Street to use the toilet. AS it was a nice day we sat on the seats and watched buses on Stafford Street. We saw First Potteries 53155 on a #8 to Ball Green.

We walked back down Lichfield Street and we stood at the stop outside the bus station and waited for a bus back to Fenton. A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 65042 on a #6A to Blythe Bridge.

Whilst we waited .Tonight Matthew went out to the disco in a car and we saw Stanways LIG 2362 going to Hanley. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto Baker Street and left onto Glebedale Road. At the end we turned right onto City Road. At the roundabout we turned sharp left onto Victoria Road. We ran down the hill to Joiners Square. We turned right onto the a52 and we ran up to Bucknall. At the lights we went straight on, forwards onto the A5009 and we ran through Abbey Hulton. We turned left onto Birches Head Road and we stopped at the disco. Matthew went to the toilet and had a drink of Coke and did some dancing. When it was time to go back to Fenton we travelled back on car. We set off onto Birches Head Road and we turned right onto the A5009. We ran down though Abbey Hulton and into Bucknall where we went straight onto the A52. We ran through Joiners Square and towards Stoke railway station we continued along the A52 along side the railway line and we then turned left onto City Road. We turned right onto Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went up to his room to chill out. He used his computer and watched music videos on the Television. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark
