Today Matthew was going to the pub for his tea, but not before he had been to his day service. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had a sausage oatcake and orange juice for breakfast. Just before 09:00 his transport to his day service turned up and it was Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX.

We got on the bus and we set off onto the A5035 and we crossed over the railway line into Trentham. We turned right into New Inn Lane and right again into Pacific Drive. After we picked up another service user we headed back onto New Inn Lane and then onto the A5035. We turned left at Church Road and then we went Forwards onto Blurton Road through Blurton and across the A50. We went through Heron Cross and onto Heron Street. Having crossed the railway line we Turned left onto Christchurch Street and to our destination. In the morning Matthew went to Hanley. We set off on foot to the bus stop in Victoria Place. We set off onto Glebedale Road and we turned right onto City Road. At the roundabout we turned left onto Victoria Place. Whilst we waited for the next First Potteries bus to arrive we saw Scraggs Optare Versa YJ59 GHH on a #50 to Hanley.

A few minutes later we saw an Interurban liveried First Potteries Scania approaching. As it got closer we saw that it was dud First Potteries 65005.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down. We set off down Victoria Road and we crossed over the A52 at Joiners Square. We ran up Lichfield Street and we crossed over the ring road. We then got up and got off the bus at the stop outside the bus station. Once we got off the bus Matthew took a few bus pictures before walking through town. We saw First Potteries 67635 on #32 to Uttoxeter.

We also saw First Potteries 53209 on a #5 to Abbey Hulton.

We set off up Lichfield Street and onto the junction of Stafford Street, where we saw dud First Potteries 53122 on a #5 from Abbey Hulton to Hanley.

We walked onto Tontine Street and we contineued across Tontine square into the shopping centre. In shopping centre we went to BB's Coffee & Muffins. Whilst there Matthew had a bottle of Coke. When we had finished we went around the corner in the shopping centre and visited jack & Jones. We then came out of the shopping centre onto Parliament Row where we visited Poundland. Afterwards we walked down Tontine Street and we visited B&M on Old Hall Street. We then back up Tontine Street to the market where Matthew used the toilet. We then walked back along Parliament Row to McDonalds where we had dinner. Matthew had burger and fries washed down with a cup of Coke. After Matthew had finished his meal we walked along Parliament Row onto Old Hall Street. Matthew took a few bus pictures whilst we waited for a taxi. We saw required First Potteries 63175 on a #6 to Weston Coyney.

We then saw dud First Potteries 67643 coming out of Charles Street running out of service.

A short while later we saw Intercity taxi minibus ND58 EDJ come into Parliament Row.

We also saw dud First Potteries 42554 on a #5 to Abbey Hulton.

Then we saw dud Potteries 63096 on a #11A to Coalville.

We walked along Old Hall Street and down Lichfield Street. We then saw First Potteries 32627 on a #11 to Newcastle. A few minutes later we were picked up by a Intercity taxi. We ran down Lichfield street and across the ring road. We then rundown the hill to the pub. Matthew went to the toilet and then had a glass of Coke. Highlights of the bus sightings included First Potteries 63173 on a #6 to Weston Coyney. Matthew listened to music on the Jukebox with songs including Steps and B*witched. When it was time to go Home Matthew climbed aboard Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We set off onto Palmerston Street and we turned right onto the A52. We continued along the A52 past the railway station and along the Seven Arches. We followed the road around to the right under the railway line and we joined the Southbound A500. We travelled South to Hanford and we turned left onto the A34. We turned left onto Church Lane and we turned right onto Wilson Road. We ran onto New In Lane and we dropped off another service user before continuing along New In Lane onto the A5035. We crossed over the railway line and we ran into Blurton. We got home just before 15:00... Matthew took another picture of Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX before it continued back to the day centre.

Matthew had toast and a glass of dandelion & burdock whilst he waited for the time to go out and catch the bus. Today we went to catch the 16:26 to Newcastle. We had seen the bus earlier in the day and it was First Potteries 67637. We set off on foot to the bus stop all the way onto Magdalen Road. Whilst we waited for the we saw Caudwell Construction minibus DV12 JVY.

Due to the roadworks on new Inn Lane the buses were running late. Running just over 15 minutes late the bus turned the corner and it was as expected First Potteries 67637 on a #22 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we booked to Harpfield Road before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off onto the A5035 and we ran over the railway line into Trentham. We turned right into New Inn Lane and we saw First Potteries 67603 on a #22 to Longton. We waited at the traffic light for a short while and then we continued up New In Lane and we ran into Hanford. We turned right into Wilson Road and we passed First Potteries 67158 on a #21A to Trentham Gardens and First Potteries 67641 on the final #22 turn to Longton. We ran down Church Lane and we joined the A34 and we saw white minibus R2 OGO. After running under the A500 into Trent Vale. We turned right onto Harpfields Road where we got up and got off the bus. Matthew took another First Potteries 67637 before it carried on towards Newcastle.

We walked back onto the A34 and we turned to see a bus in the distance. We waited for the bus to get closer and we saw it was First Potteries 65035 on a #101 to Stafford.

We walked down to the pub and mum was already waiting inside for us. Matthew had a brunch with oatcakes followed by toffee sponge pudding with ice cream. Whilst we ate highlights of the passing buses included ABC Supreme S14 AMC, Stanton's of Stoke coach WA08 JVX going North, Astons coach YL16 CXA as well as First Potteries 65037 on a Southbound #101 service to Stafford. When it was time to go we got in the car to go pick up uncle Dave. We ran down the A34 and we got onto the Northbound A500. At Sideway we went East on the A50. We came off the A50 at Heron Cross were we saw First Potteries 67155 on a #23 to Newstead. We then dropped down into Fenton to pick up uncle Dave. We then headed back up to Heron Cross and we crossed the A50 and into Blurton. We ran along Blurton Road and we turned right onto Church Road. We turned right into Beaconsfield Drive and we saw First Potteries 37156 on a #22 turn. We got home around 18:15. Matthew chilled out on his computer and we sorted a few things out. We chilled out on the sofa until bedtime around 00:00... Mark
