Trip to Joiners Square / Newcastle 14-04-2017

Today Matthew was going to the pub for his tea, but not before he had been to his day service. He was in his residential unit and was also going back to Blurton later today. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Whilst waiting to go to the day service we saw First Potteries 67151 on a #23 to Hanley. Around 09:00 we set off on foot to the day centre. We walked onto Temple Street and onto Christchurch Street. At the day centre in the morning Matthew went to the shop. We walked around the corner to the Co-operative Food store where Matthew brought some jam. After returning to the day centre we saw Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. In the day centre Matthew did some baking. He made a jam filled cake. For dinner Matthew had ham sandwiches. In the afternoon Matthew went to the pub on the bus. We set off onto Glebedale Road and we turned right onto City Road. We turned sharp left onto Victoria road and we waited at the bus stop for the next bus. A few minutes later we saw dud First Potteries 63179 on a #6 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Joiners Square before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down Victoria Road. We crossed over the Roundabout at Joiner Square onto Lichfield Street and we got up and got off the bus. We crossed over the road and we walked to the pub. Matthew used the toilet and then had a glass of Coke. Matthew listened to music on the Jukebox with tracks by Steps. When it was time to return to Fenton we went outside and down the road to the bus stop. A few minutes later the bus appeared and it was dud First Potteries 63178 on a #6 to Weston Coyney.

We got on the bud and we booked to Fenton before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off down Lichfield Street and we crossed over the roundabout at Joiners Square onto Victoria Road. We ran up the hill and at the top we got up and got off the bus. Once of the bus we crossed over the road and we went down City Road. We walked throught the car park and down the alley and we crossed over Christchurch Street onto Temple Street. Matthew then waited for me to come and pick him up from the residential unit. I turned up around 14:30 and we picked up a few thing and we went down to the car. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street. We turned right onto Station Bridge Road and we continued Heron Street. We went through Heron Cross and over the A50 and into Blurton on Blurton Road. We continued onto Church Road and we turned right onto Beaconsfield Drive. We got home just before 15:00. At home Matthew had toast and can of Vimto. Today we went to catch the 15:56 to Newcastle. We set off on foot to the bus stop all the way onto Magdalen Road. We had seen bus earlier and it was booked to be dud First Potteries 67634. On the way to the bus stop we saw Autocabs minibus WJ12 GNY heading into Blurton.

A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 67633 turned the corner of the A5035 on a #22 to Longton.

A few minutes later the bus appeared around the corner right on time. We were expecting First Potteries 67634 but as it got closer we saw that it was dud First Potteries 67636 instead on the #22 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle and we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off onto the A5035 and we ran over the railway line into Trentham. We saw Free spirits MK52 PXH parked up by the Trentham Hotel. We turned right into New Inn Lane and we ran up the hill and we entered Hanford. We turned right into Wilson Road and we passed First Potteries 53209 on the final #22 turn to Longton. We turned left into Church Lane and we joined the A34 and we saw First Potteries 67154 on the #21A to Trentham Gardens. We then headed into Trent Vale and we turned right into Harpfields Road and we Redeemed Christian Church of god minibus VN05 CKK. We continued onto Hilton Road and we passed Lucky Seven MH03 NAS. We turned left into the hospital and we saw First Potteries 66845 on a #25 to Hanley. We turned right onto the A34 and a couple of stops down the road we got up and got off the bus. Matthew took another picture of First Potteries 67636 as it carried on towards the bus station.

We crossed over the A34 and we walked up the hill to Grandma's house. At Grandma's Matthew had a can of Irn Bru and used her computer. We said goodbye to Grandma around 17:30. We set off onto Occupation Street and we turned left onto the A34. We ran down into Trent Vale and we saw Jubilee WMC minibus AK52 LXC. We stopped at the pub and we went inside. Matthew had a brunch with oatcakes followed by toffee sponge pudding with ice cream. Whilst we ate highlights of the passing buses included First Potteries 65042 on a #101 to Stafford. When it was time to go we got in the car to go pick up uncle Dave. We ran down the A34 and we got onto the Northbound A500. We went Eastwards along the A50 and we passed Hodder coach E7 HOD which was going Westwards. We came off the A50 at Heron Cross and dropped down into Fenton to pick up uncle Dave where we saw white minibus DU64 RXA. Once we had picked him up we returned to Heron Cross and we crossed the A50. We ran along Blurton Road and right onto Church Road. We turned right into Beaconsfield Drive. We got home around 18:40. Matthew chilled out on his computer and we composed a few e-mails and sorted a few things out. We then chilled out on the sofa until bedtime around 00:00... Mark
