Trip to Hanley / Northwood 31-05-2025

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going out on the bus. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the day centre, we saw Afford rent-a-car MT70 AFZ. Later on we went downstairs and we set off onto City Road. We walked down to the bus stop outside the flats. On the way we saw Lucky Seven BK72 NPY. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67155 on a #23 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we joined the A52 and ran under the railway line. After crossing over the A500 we ran into Stoke town centre along Church Street. We turned right onto Shelton Old Road. We ran forwards onto Stoke Road. We ran under the railway line and up through Shelton. We ran up Broad Street and we turned right onto the anti-clockwise ring road. We turned left onto Bethesda Street and right onto John Street. We climbed the hill and up into the bus station. We got up and got off the bus and Matthew visited the toilet. We headed down the bus station and Matthew decided to go to Northwood. Another vehicle on layover was First Potteries 44511. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was D&G Bus 119 on a #7A to Fegg Hayes.

We got on the bus and we booked to Biddulph before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus waited for time before setting off out of the bus station. We went down John Street and onto Bethesda Street before we went across onto Marsh Street and then we turned right into Trinity Street. We turned left into Stafford Street and we continued forwards to Quadrant Road and we left Hanley along Town Road. We travelled through Northwood and we got up and got off the bus. We continued North for a short while and we turned into the park. At the park Matthew had an ice cream. After we had finished at the park we returned to Hanley in an Intercity taxi. We set off Southwards down the A5272 and forwards onto Town Road. We crossed over the ring road and we continued as far as the Intu Potteries shopping centre where we got out. We walked down onto Parliament Row and we went to the Pound Bakery and Matthew had a sausage roll and a bottle of Coke in a bag. We set off along Parliament Row and Matthew ate his sausage roll and drank his bottle of Coke. We turned right onto Old Hall Street and we turned left onto Lichfield Street and we returned to the bus station. A few mninutes later the bus appeared. It was First Potteries 67177 on a #38 to Newstead.

We got on the bus and we booked to Festival Park before we sat down. The bus set off onto John Street and we ran down the hill before we turned right onto Bethesda Street. We crossed over Broad Street and we continued onto Marsh Street. At the lights we turned left onto Etruria Road past former Sainsbury's supermarket. We went under the A53 and we went forwards onto Festival Way. We ran past Waterworld and we turned left onto Forge Lane past a new minibus building by the Brindley Farm pub. We looped under the A53 and we joined the Westbound A53. We crossed over the A500 at Etruria and and we ran up the hill into Basford and we ran down hill to the edge of Newcastle and we got onto the one way system. At the jubilee roundabout we turned left onto Barracks Road before turning right into the bus station. We got up and we got off the bus. The bus appeared and it was D&G Bus 6009 on a #1 to Meir.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton and sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station onto Barracks Road. We ran Southwards onto the A34. We turned left into the hospital and we ran through the the grounds. As we travelled through the hospital we saw ABC Supreme YK24 DYB. We turned left onto Hilton Road. We continued onto Albany Road and we turned right onto The Avenue and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we went to across the road the road and into wade conference centre and Hartshil Artisan Market, a vibrant celebration of local talent, family fun, and community spirit! With rows of unique artisan stalls, mouth-watering home cooked food. We headed up the hill back towards Fenton. After a short while we saw First Potteries 35950 on a #25 to Hanley. A few minutes later the bus turned up and it was First Potteries 63174 on a #11 to Hanley. We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the Hartshill and we ran down the hill into Stoke town centre. After a brief stop in Church Street we continued into Fenton up the A52, over the A500. We ran under the railway line and we continued onto City Road and we went forwards onto King Street. We ran through Foley and we under the railway line into Longton town centre. We ran up Market Street and we turned left onto Anchor Road. We ran up the hill to the top and ran down to the roundabout in Adderley Green. At the roundabout at the East end of Bentilee we turned right onto Beverley Drive and then left onto Dawlish Drive and we got up and got off the bus. We walked around the corner and we saw First Potteries 67143 on a #11 to Newcastle. Matthew had can of Cherry Coke. We went back to the Fenton. We set off on foot to the bus stop all the way over on Dawlish Drive. As short time later the bus came around the corner. As exoected we saw it was First Potteries 67149 on a #11 to Newcastle. We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off onto Dawlish Drive. We ran through the estate and back onto the A5272. We ran up to Adderley Green and we saw First Potteries 63361 parked in the garage. At the roundabout we turned right onto Anchor Road. system onto Commerce Street and right onto The Strand. After a brief stop we ran down the Strand and under the railway line onto King Street. We continued down through Fenton and forwards onto City Road. We went past KFC and we got up and got off. We walked down City Road. We turned left onto Christchurch Street. We turned right onto Temple Street and we returned to the residential unit. Matthew went upstiars to his room to chill out. We went downstairs and we got in the car and we set off onto Temple Street. We turned left onto Christchurch Street and we crossed over City Road onto Manor Street. We turned left onto Victoria Road and we stopped at McDonalds. Matthew had a burger and fries washed down with a cup of Coke. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards we returned to Fenton in we got in the car and we set off onto Victoria Road and at joiners Square. We went straight onto Lichfield Street and we turned left onto the clockwise ring road and we turned left onto Broad Street. We ran down the hill and over the ring road onto Snow Hill Before we turned right onto Shelton New Road and we saw Cabability minibus DG17 UYM parkd up at their depot. We ran along the B5045 and through Hartshill and we ran forwards onto the A52 and at the roundabout we ran forwards onto Ryecroft. We continued onto Knutton lane and we turned left onto Dunkirk. We turned right onto Poolside and we arrived at Our Space. Matthew went to the toilet. He also spent time in the soft play area. When we had finished we said goodbye and we returned to Fenton in a taxi. We set off onto Stanier Street. When we returned to Fenton in a Intercity taxi. We set off along Stanier Road and we turned left onto Pool Side. We turned left onto Dunkirk and we turned right onto Knutton Lane. We around the roundabout and back onto the Ryecroft and we ran forwards onto the one-way system. We continued onto the A53. We ran into Basford and over the Soutbound A500 and we ran through Shelton and Stoke. We came off the A500 and we turned left onto City Road. We ran up the hill into Fenton and we turned right onto Smithpool Road, We turned left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. When Matthew got back we went upstairs and went up to his room. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going out on the bus. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the day centre, we saw Shelton Care Group YS70 KWG. Later on we went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street. In the distance we saw Temple Street church minibus RX18 GZW. We carried on along Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We waited for a bus towards Hanley. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67153 on a #23 to Hanley. We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Christchurch Street. We turned left onto City Road. and we joined the A52 to go under the railway line and over the A500. We continued onto Church Street and into the centre of Stoke. After a brief stop we continued around the one-way system onto Elenora Steet and right onto Copeland street. We turned left onto Glebe Street and we went under the railway line before turning left onto Station Road. We went past the railway station and and turned right. We ran up Stoke Road and we turned right onto Avenue Road. At the roundabout we turned left onto College Road. After running the hill through Shelton we continued onto Cleveland Road and forwards onto Regent Road. We turned left onto Lower Bethesda Street and we crossed over the ring road onto Bethesda Street before we turned right onto John Street. We ran up the hill into the bus station and onto stand. Once in the bus station we got up and got off the bus. We headed down the bus station and Matthew decided to go to Northwood. Whilst we waited we saw First Potteries 63097 on a #7A to Biddulph. We got on the bus and we booked to Biddulph before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus waited for time before setting off out of the bus station. We went down John Street and onto Bethesda Street before we went across onto Marsh Street and then we turned right into Trinity Street. We turned left into Stafford Street and we continued forwards to Quadrant Road and we left Hanley along Town Road. We travelled through Northwood and we got up and got off the bus. We stopped at the fun fair and Matthew had a sausage sandwich and a Coke. We continued North for a short while and we turned into the park. At the park Matthew had an ice cream. After we had finished at the park we returned to Hanley in an Intercity taxi. We set off Southwards down the A5272. We waited for the bus to Hanley. A short time later we saw First Potteries 67177 on a #7A to Hanley. We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off onto Southwards down the A5272 and forwards onto Town Road and we crossed over the ring road. As we ran onto Quadrant Road and we went forwards onto Stafford Street. We ran past the town hall and onto Bagnall Street and we entered the bus station. We got up and got off the bus and Matthew went to the toilet. We turned left onto Lichfield Street. We headed into the bus station and we waited for a bus back towards Fenton. We crossed over Lichfield Street and we crossed over the ring road and we saw Copeland's Tours MIB 516. We called for a Lucky Seven taxi. We got in the taxi and we set off down Lichfield Street and past the site new Lidl. We crossed over Joiners Square. We crossed over the roundabout onto Victoria Road past Adsa and the B&M. We turned right onto Manor Street. We turned right onto City Road and we headed down the hill. We turned left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to chill out in his room and use his computer and watch buses out of the window. We saw blue minibus DG52 CXP going towards Stoke.

For tea Matthew had bangers and mash followed by treacle tart and custard. Matthew spent time in his room watching television and using his computer. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. Matthew was also going out later to the pub for a drink. Matthew got up and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Whilst waiting for time to got to the day centre Matthew spent time in his room watching buses. We saw Z Carz PO55 URU.

Around 09:00 we set off on foot to the day centre. We walked onto Temple Street and right onto Christchurch Street and into the day centre. At the day centre we saw Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX.

In the morning Matthew went out on Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We set off onto Glebedale Road and We turned left onto City Road and we ran down the hill onto the A52. We turned right towards the railway station and we ran past the station and university up to Joiners Square. At the roundabout we turned left onto Lichfield Street and we ran up the hill towards Hanley. We ran anti-clockwise around the ring road and we left town along Town Road. We joined the A5272 and we ran into Northwood. We stopped at Wright's Pies and we picked up some shopping. We brought some Manchester tarts for later on. We then returned to the day centre on Shelton care Group DY08 FFX. We ran down the A5272 and we went down the hill past Northwood Stadium and onto Bucknall New Road. At Bucknall light we turned right onto the A52 and we ran Westwards through Joiners Square and into Stoke. We followed the road to the left by the railway station and we ran parallel to the railway line before turning left onto City Road. We ran up the hill We we turned right into Glebedale Road before going to the day centre. Once we got back to the day centre Matthew had dinner. For dinner Matthew had toast and sausages followed by a Bakewell Tart. In the afternoon Matthew went to JTF on the bus. We set off on foot onto City Road and we saw Elcock Reisen 1389 NT.

At the roundabout we turned right and walked past KFC and into JTF. Matthew went upstairs to the cafe and had toast and a drink of Coke. When we had finished we walked back to the residential. We set off past KFC and onto City Road before turning left into Christchurch Street and onto Temple Street. Back at the house Mathew had some toast and then chilled out in his room on his computer. We saw First Potteries 67635 on a #11 to Newcastle.

Later on Matthew went tea out to Longton it was Stanton's of Stoke RUI 2486. We set off onto Christchurch Street and we turned right onto City Road. We ran up onto King Street past an old pub which has now been reopened as something else. and into Longton under the railway bridge. We turned right into baths Road and we did a u-turn over the A50 and into the retail park. We stopped at Pets at Home to pick up food for the rabbit. Afterwards we went to the Pepper Mill for a drink. Matthew went to the toilet and then had a glass of Coke. For tea Matthew had a burger and fries followed by a red velvet cheesecake. Afterwards we returned to Fenton in Stanton's of Stoke RUI 2486. We ran onto baths Road and we did a u-turn on the roundabout outside Tesco. We ran onto the A50 and we ran West along the A50 to Heron Cross. We joined the A50 link Road and we ran up to City Road. We turned left into Smithpool Road and left again into Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We then went by car to the disco. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We went straight on onto manor Street and at the end we turned left onto Victoria Road. We ran down the hill to Joiners Square. At the roundabout we turned right onto the A52 and we ran North to Bucknall. We went straight cross onto the A5009 and we ran up through Abbey Hulton. We turned left onto Birches Head Road and we stopped at the disco. Matthew went to the toilet and then had a glass of Coke. After a session on the dance floor Matthew returned home in a car. We set off onto Birches Head Road and we turned right onto the A5009. We ran through Abbey Hulton and into Bucknall. We ran forwards onto the A52 and at joiners Square we turned left onto Victoria Road. We ran up the hill and we turned right into Manor Street. We turned right onto City Road and then left onto Smithpool Road. We turned left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Later on Matthew had a bath and then toast and orange juice for supper.He chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. Matthew was also going out trampolining. Matthew got up and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Whilst waiting for time to got to the day centre Matthew spent time in his room watching buses. We saw First Potteries 63175 on a #11 to Newcastle.

Around 10:00 we set off on foot to the day centre. We walked onto Temple Street and right onto Christchurch Street where we saw D&G Bus 193 on a #40 to Longton.

At the day centre in the morning Matthew watched a DVD. For dinner Matthew had sausage and chips by a Bakewell tart. In the afternoon Matthew went trampolining in Abbey Hulton on Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We set off onto Glebedale Road and we turned right onto City Road. We turned sharp left onto Victoria Road and we ran down the hill to Joiner Square. At the roundabout we turned right onto the A52. We ran North to Bucknall and we went straight on at the lights onto the A5009. We ran under the old railway line to Leek and into Abbey Hulton. We turned right onto Abbots Road and we ran up to the sports centre. Outside the sports centre we saw one of Stoke-on-Trent city council's welfare buses LK17 DWD. Matthew went to the toilet and then had a good session on the trampolines. When he had finished we returned to the day centre on Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We set off onto Abbots Road and we ran Westwards to the A5009. We turned left onto the Southbound A5009 and at Bucknall we turned right onto Bucknall New Road.We ran up Limekiln Bank to the ring road and we turned left. We ran around the ring road and we turned left onto Lichfield Street. We turned right onto Regent Road and we stopped for a short while. We rejoined the Lichfield Street and we ran down to Joiners Square. We ran over the roundabout onto Victoria Road and we ran up the hill. At the top we turned sharp right onto City Road Smithpool Road and we turned left and left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went up to his room to use his computer and chill out. We also watched buses out of the window. We saw First Potteries 67156 on a #23 to Hanley.

We set off onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We crossed City Road onto Manor Street and we ran to the end where we turned left onto Victoria Road. We ran down the hill to Joiners Square. and we went straight across onto Lichfield Street. We ran anti-clockwise around Hanley and we ran towards Birches Head along Town Road. We ran forwards onto the A5272 and we went through Sneyd Green. We stopped at the Central Forest Park and Matthew used the playground. We the A5272 onto Northam Road and we saw Stanton's of Stoke HXZ 9939. We continued forwards onto Chorlton Road and we ran through to Keelings Road. We stopped at the Co-operative food and Matthew brought a bottle of Coke. We ran back up Keelings Road and onto Town Road. We ran around the ring road to the end and we stopped at the pub. Matthew hada glass of Coke and then used the toilet. Matthew had a mixed grill and fries followed by a Lemon Meringue. We set off onto the ring Road and we ran anti-clockwise around the ring road. We turned right onto Botteslow Street and we ran down to the A52. We turned right and we ran towards Joiners Square. At the roundabout we went left onto Victoria Road right onto Manor Street.We turned right onto City Road and we ran down to Smithpool Road where we turned left. We turned left onto Temple Street and we returned to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs and chilled out in his room. Matthew watched some television and used his computer. Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down. We set off down Victoria Road and we crossed over the A52 at Joiners Square. We ran up Lichfield Street and we crossed over the ring road. We then got up and got off the bus at the stop outside the bus station. When we got to Hanley we set off on foot towards Primark. We set off up LIchfield Street and we went forwards onto Tontine Street. We crossed over Tontine Square and we went into Primark. Matthew brought some clothes and then returned to the bus station back down Tontine Street and onto Lichfield Street. Back at the bus station we saw First Potteries 67152 on a #23 to Newstead.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before we sat down. We set off onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We crossed over the ring road and we ran down onto Regent Road and forwards onto Cleveland Road. We ran down though Shelton along College Road and we ran down to the railway station. We turned right onto Glebe Street and under the railway line an we ran around the one-way system in Stoke and stopped by Stoke Minster. We turned left onto Church Street and we crossed the A500 and we ran under the railway line. After climbing up the hill into Fenton we turned right into Christchurch Street where we got up and got off the bus. We then walked back to the day centre. Later on we returned to the residential unit. We set off onto Christchurch Street and left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went toup his room to chill out on his computer and watch buses out of the window. He also had a Manchester tart. Later Matthew went out on the bus to Biddulph. We walked onto City Road where we saw First Potteries 63100 on a #11 to Newcastle.

We walked up to Victoria Place and we turned the corner onto Victoria Road to wait for a bus to Hanley. A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 42552 on a #6A to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down. We set off down Victoria Road we caught up Stanton's of Stoke SL52 CWV. We crossed over the A52 at Joiners Square and we ran up Lichfield Street and we crossed over the ring road. We then got up and got off the bus at the stop outside the bus station. Once off the bus we walked into the bus station to wait for a bus to Biddulph. A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 67638 on a #7A to Biddulph.

We got on the bus and we flashed the Smart day ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station and we ran down John Street. We turned right onto Bethesda Street and we crossed Broad street onto Marsh Street. We turned right onto Trinity Street and we stopped on Stafford Street to to pick up more passengers before we left town along Quadrant Road. We crossed over the ring road and we headed out of town towards Sneyd Green along Town Road. We continued to Smallthorne roundabouts and we continued forwards onto High Lane. At the end of High Lane we turned right onto the A527 and we ran down the hill through Fegg Hayes and up into Brindley Ford. We continued up towards Knyperlsey and we turned left onto Brown Lees Road. We ran through the estate and we crossed over the A527 and into the Biddulph estate. We went passed the barley Mow and we turned left onto St John's Road. At the end we re-joined the A527 and we entered the town at Wharf Road and we stopped at the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. We then we to the pub for tea. We walked around the corner around onto the High Street and we went into the pub. Matthew went to the toilet and then had a glass of Coke. For tea Matthew had Southern fried chicken strips with chips followed by chocolate fudge cake with ice cream. Once we had finished we walked down the road to Sainsbury's where Matthew brought a Panda mask. We went back to the bus station around the corner to the bus station and we saw required D&G Bus 157 on the #9 to Hanley.

A short while later we saw another First Bus approaching. As it got closer we saw that it was First Potteries 67601 on a #7A to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off onto the High Street and we turned left onto Wells Street. We ran around the estate and we crossed over the A527 at Knypersley. We ran through Brown Lees and we rejoined the A527 by the industrial estate. We ran down through Brindley Ford and to Fegg Hayes. We ran up the hill to Chell and we turned left onto High Lane. We ran back through Smallthorne & Sneyd Green into Hanley. When we got back to the bus station we waited for a bus back to Fenton. A few minute later we saw First Potteries 53041 on a #23A to Newstead.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before we sat down. We set off onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We crossed over the ring road and we ran down onto Regent Road and forwards onto Cleveland Road. We ran down though Shelton along College Road and we ran down to the railway station. We turned right onto Glebe Street and under the railway line an we ran around the one-way system in Stoke and stopped by Stoke Minster. We turned left onto Church Street and we crossed the A500 and we ran under the railway line. After climbing up the hill into Fenton we turned right into Smithpool Road where we got up and got off the bus. We walked back up Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew chilled out in his room on his computer. Matthew also watched television in his room and then had a bath. Later on Matthew had toast for supper before going to bed around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. He was also going to vote. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice. Around 09:00 we set off on foot to the day centre. We walked onto Temple Street and right onto Christchurch Street. At the day centre we saw Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX.

In the morning Matthew watched a DVD. For dinner Matthew had a ham sandwich followed by toffee Cheesecake. In the afternoon Matthew went to Northwood on Shelton care Group DY08 FFX. We set off onto Glebedale Road and we turned left onto City Road. We ran down the hill under the railway line and we turned right onto the A500 where we saw Stanton's of Stoke KX06 LXU which is new to their fleet. We ran North Etruria and we turned right onto the A53. We ran past the Festival Park and through Cobridge lights. We ran up to Sneyd Green and we turned right onto the A5272. We ran Southwards towards Hanley and we followed the A5272 to the left and into Northwood. We stopped at Northwood Stadium and Matthew went on the trampolines. After Matthew had finished he had a bottle of Orange Lucozade. We then returned to Fenton on Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We set off onto the A5272 and we ran up to Townsend and North through Sneyd Green. We ran up to Smallthorne roundabout and we turned left onto Moorland Road. We ran through Burslem and through onto Newcastle Street. We turned left onto Newport Lane and then left onto Furlong Lane. We ran onto the one way system and we crossed over Waterloo Road onto Zion Street. We turned right onto Nile Street and then right again onto Pitt Street East. We turned left onto the A50 and we ran down to Greyhound Way. We ran through Festival Park along Rideghouse drive and then left onto Festival Way. After crossing under the A53 we joined onto Etruscan Street left onto Shelton New Road. We ran up to Snow Hill and we turned left. We turned right onto College road and then we turned left onto Regent Road. We stopped for a short while before we returned along Regent Road and onto College Road. We continued onto Wellesley Road and over the roundabout onto Shelton New Road. We ran up to the edge of Newcastle and we ran into town down the A52. We turned left onto barracks Road and past the bus station. We ran down to the A34 ran South to Keelings drive where we turned left. We turned left onto Harpfields Road and we saw Stanton's of Stoke minibus HXZ 9939 on Wain Drive. We turned right onto Newcastle lane and we ran up the hill into the centre of Penkhull. We turned left into St Thomas Place and we ran forwards onto Honeywall. We ran into Stoke and we joined onto the one-way system. We ran down Shelton Old Road and we got onto the A500. We came of the A500 at the next junctio and we went up City Road. We turned right onto Smithpool Road and then turned left onto Temple Street. Back at the residential unit Matthew went to his room to use his computer and watch buses. We saw D&G Bus 111 on The Orange ONE to Newcastle.

For tea Matthew had chips followed by cake. Just before mum came to pick Matthew up we saw First Potteries 67157 on a #23 to Hanley.

Around 17:30 mum came to pick Matthew up to go and vote. We set off in the car onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto Station Bridge Road and we ran forwards onto Heron Street. We ran through the lights at Heron Cross onto Blurton Road. We crossed over the A50 and we ran through Blurton before going right onto Church Road. We turned right onto Beaconsfield Drive and then left onto Finstock Avenue. After parking up Matthew went to Vote. Afterwards Matthew went to the Co-operative Food store and brought some shopping. When he came out of the shop I had arrived from work. I went to vote and Matthew sat in my car with mum. We said goodbye to mum and then we set off up Finstock Avenue up to Beaconsfield Drive. We turned left onto Church Road and left again onto Blurton Road. We ran through Blurton into Heron Cross and over the A50. We ran forwards onto Heron Street and we continued onto Station Bridge Road. we turned left onto Christchurch Street and left onto City Road. We ran down to Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street. At the residential unit we went upstairs and we wrote some of the Blog. After about an hour I said goodbye and Matthew continued to chill out in his room. He used his computer and watched music videos on the Television. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was going to his day service, and we were taking him out on the bus. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. The minibus for his day service was the usual Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU. The bus went onto the A5035 and onto Church Road. we continued though into Blurton Road and through Heron Cross. In Heron Cross we onto Heron Street and we continued around to Glebedale Road before getting to the destination. After a short while at the unit we walked up to Victoria Square to wait for a bus to Hanley. A short while later dud First Potteries 60013 appeared on the #6 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and booked Smart Day tickets. We sat down and the bus set off down Victoria Road. We saw dud First Potteries 61160 going the other way towards Longton. We crossed the roundabout at joiners Square we climbed up Lichfield Street up to the ring Road. We went left onto the ring road before turning right into Bethesda Street and then onto John Street / Liddice Way. The bus pulled into the bus station and we got off. We set off on foot through Hanley to walk up to Central Forrest Park. On Town road as we crossed over the ring road, we saw First Potteries 32053 on a #8A to Hanley.

Further up the road toward Central Forest Park Matthew had a can of Coke. We then saw First Potteries 40367 on a #8B to Brown Edge.

After a quick walk around in Central Forrest Park, we crossed over the road to catch a bus back towards Hanley. The bus came around the corner and it was required First Potteries 65567 on a #7 service.

We got on the bus and flashed our Smart Day tickets, before we sat down. The bus set off back along Town Road and into Hanley. We went down Quadrant Street and into Stafford Street.We got off the bus in Stafford Street and we walked to the bus station. Whilst at the bus station saw Wardle Transport 4809 on the #19 to Bradeley. We walked to the sop outside the bus station to wait for the #6 back to Fenton. Whilst we were there we took a few bus pictures. We saw First Potteries 61235 on a #1A to longton.

Wardle Transport 4814 was on a #16 to Leek. A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 60057 on a #2 to Bentilee.

Next we saw red and yellow liveried First Potteries 60171 on a #6B to Blythe Bridge.

We decided to do the next bus, which was First Potteries 61246 on a #6 to Meir.

We got on the bus and flashed our Smart Day tickets. before sitting down. The bus set off and turned into Birch Terrace and onto Charles Street, around the site of the old bus station. The bus then turned right onto Old Hall Street before going around the ring road onto Lichfield Street. The bus crossed over the Roundabout in Joiners Square before continuing up Victoria Road. At the top of Victoria Road by the Square, we got up an got off the bus. We walked across city road and into the unit. For dinner Matthew had fish finger sandwiches. After dinner Matthew play bowling on the Wii until it was time to come home. The bus came to fetch to bring him home and it was his usual Shelton Care Group bus DV10 JCU. We got on the bus and the bus went onto Glebedale Road and through Heron Cross. We went Straight through Blurton and onto the A5035, getting home around 16:00. Matthew had some toast and a drink of pop and I went to fetch uncle Dave. For tea Matthew had sausage Chips and gravy. After some time on the computer we went to take uncle Dave home. We set off onto the A5035 and onto Stanley Matthews Way. We headed onto the A50 and through Heron Cross and down to uncle Daves. We spent some time listening to music and watching music videos, as well as watching telly and looking at old bus magazines, timetables and newspaper articles. At 22:00 we left uncle Dave an went onto the Northbound A500. We turned around at Stoke And went South down the A500 until we reached the A519. We turned left onto whitmore Road and then onto the Southbound A34. We then went towards Longton along the A5035, getting home around 22:25. Matthew then chilled out on his computer until bedtime around 23:30...Mark
