Trip to Fenton / Hanley 22-10-2014

Today Matthew was in respite. He was spending the day with his current day service too. Matthew got up around 08:00 today and had toast and juice for breakfast. The bus turned up aound 08:45 and it was his usual bus, Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU.

We got on the bus and sat down near to the back of the bus. We set off into Bentilee and onto Dividy Road. We went East towards Adderley Green before turning onto Anchor Road. Near to the bottom of Anchor Road hey turned right into the back streets and cut onto King Street. We carried on down King Street and onto City Road before turning onto Glebedale Road and going into the day service. In the morning we walked around Fenton. On City Road we saw one of Copeland's Tours orange Leyland Tigers, MIB 118.

We walked along manor Street and onto Victoria Road. We saw Copeland's Tours MIB 346.

After a visit to Aldi we had a ride in Lucky Seven Taxi. We went down Victoria Road and onto Lichfield Street before turning left into Regent Road. At the end of Regent Road we went right onto College Road. WE turned left onto Broad Street and at the Snow Hill roundabout we turned right, before coming to the other site. constructed some Lego and then had an omelet for dinner. After dinner we set off on a walk to Hanley. At the Snow Hill roundabout we saw First Potteries 41499 on a #21 to Hanley.

We carried on walking up into Hanley. At the junction of Broad Street and Potteries way we saw Roseville KN12 NBA.

We carried on walking up Broad Street and we headed to the bus station via Bethesda Street and Adventure Place. On the outside of Hanley bus station was Routemaster Buses single decker X615 JCS.

We then went in the bus station to catch a bus back to Fenton. The bus turned up and it was dud First Potteries 41540.

We got on the bus and booked to Fenton. We sat down towards the back of the bus and the bus backed of the stand. The bus left the bus station and crossed the ring road onto Lower Bethesda Street. We joined Regent road before turning left onto College Road. The bus went down past Cauldon College and past the railway station before entering Stoke via Glebe Street. The bus crossed over the A500 and went up City Road before turning into Christchurch Street. We got up and got off the bus before walking to the day centre. At Home time the bus back to Bentilee was Lucky Seven taxi. The bus went onto City Road and forward onto King Street. In Longton we traveled along Market Street before turning left onto Anchor Road. At the other end of Anchor Road we turned left onto Dividy Road. After around a mile we reached our destination. For tea Matthew had jacked potatoes with beans and cheese followed by scones. He used his computer, watched some television and had a bath before bedtime around 23:00... Mark
