Trip to Joiners Square / Trent Vale 24-10-2014

Today we were going to the pub at Trent Vale. Not before Matthew had been to his day service. Matthew got up just before 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Around 09:00 the bus came to pick us up and it was Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU. We got on the bus and sat down. The bus set off onto the A5035 and we saw Allendale NK02 KVF. We headed through Blurton via Church Road and Blurton Road. In Heron Cross we went through onto Heron Street and Glebedale Road before getting to our destination. Matthew spent time in the sensory room and on the computer before having sausage chips and gravy for dinner. In the afternoon we got back on the bus to go to the pub. It was Intercity taxi once again. We set off onto Glebedale Road and Across onto Fountain Street. We joined onto Manor Street after traveling down William Street. We carried on onto Victoria Road. We crossed the roundabout at Joiners Square onto onto Lichfield Street. We got to the pub and parked up. Matthew used the toilet and had a drink of Coke. We also view some of the buses going past. Highlights of the afternoon were seeing some of the new First Potteries Streetlites working on the #6 'Raspberry Routes'. First Potteries 63177 was on the #6 to Hanley.

When it was time to leave we got back into Intercity taxi for the journey back to Fenton. The bus went down Lichfield Street and up towards Fenton along Victoria Road. We turned right Manor Street and across into Fenton. When it was time to go home we got back onto Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU and the bus went towards Heron Cross via Heron Street and through Blurton along Blurton Road. The bus turned into Beaconsfield Drive and we got home around 15:00. Matthew had some toast and a drink of orangeade before we set off on foot all the way to Magdalen Road. Whilst we waited for the expected Dart, required First Potteries 41512, we saw on the Blurton route of the Plumline was D&G Optare Vectra 174.

Bang on time today, required First Potteries Dart 41512 came around the corner.

We got on the bus and booked to Harpfields Road. The bus set off onto A5035. In Hanford we passed First Potteries 40009 on the #21B to Trentham Gardens immediately followed by MPD Dart First Potteries 40003 on the #21A to the Trentham Hotel. Further up Wilson Road we passed First Potteries 41494 on a #22 to Dresden. We joined the A34 and went under the A500 in Trent Vale. We turned right into Harpfields Road and we got off the bus. We got off the bus and Matthew got another picture of First Potteries 41512.

We headed back onto the A34 towards the pub. We saw Intercity ND58 EDJ between duties.

Going towards Newcastle on the A34 we saw Intercity PO55 KUD.

A minute or so later we saw dud First Potteries 65033 going South on a #101 to Stafford.

We walked into the pub and met up with mum. Matthew had a brunch with bread and butter followed by toffee sponge pudding with ice cream. Whilst we ate highlights of the passing buses was First Potteries 32633 on a #101 to Hanley and an unidentified Bennetts Solo going towards Newcastle. After we had finished eating we called Uncle Dave and we went to pick him up. We drove along the A34 and onto the Northbound A500. We went East at the A50. We came off the A50 at Heron Cross. We dropped into Fenton. After we had picked up uncle Dave, we headed up to Heron Cross and we saw Lightning Travel T2 DLT. As we passed through Blurton we saw First Potteries 41502 on the #22 to Dresden. We got home around 17:40. Matthew chilled out watching bus videos and using his computer before bedtime around 00:00... Mark
